Well, here it is! The unveiling of Season 4 which will premier Oct. 13th! It looks pretty freakin' amazing!

.
It looks like they are using elements skipped over in the first part of season 3 from the graphic novel since Tyreese shows up much later in the TV series, while combining it with what has been going on in the graphic novel after the prison. Interestingly enough, there is no sign of the Governor... I expect him to show up at the mid season finale after this mystery killer is found out, and conclude the season with a final resolution. Now that I see how close they are to passing the graphic novel. I understand why they've kept the Governor around. If they proceeded, they'd only have about 2 more seasons of source material.
Anyways... I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!

The Playstation 4 will be noticeably different in how digital games are handled compared to the current PS3:

Speaking at Develop, Neil Brown, Sony’s R&D senior team leader, outlined the process that lets you access your games on other machines at other people’s houses:

“You can visit your friends house you can log into your account and play any game from your digital library, which is good. But how useful is that if it takes half a day to download the game you want to play? With Play As You Download you get much quicker access to at least the first section of the game so you can start playing quicker. So this makes a digital library a practical option in the real world.”

.
It appears that the PS4 will try to emulate Steam's success in digital game management by tying your digital games to your specific account. With the games tied to your account you will be able to access your digital games on any PS4 you log into. This is very different compared to how the PS3 handles digital games. Currently the PS3 will allow you to have up to two PS3 consoles active for your digital games. Which means if you own two PS3 consoles you can log into each of those consoles and download any of your digital game purchases.
However, it is possible to log into any PS3 system and still access your digital games. By having 1 primary console for your account at your home, you can easily go to a friend's house, use their PS3, log into your PSN account and download your games and start playing. That system would then be considered the second active system for your digital game purchases. Of course, once you finish playing at your friend's house you must remember to not only log off, but also to deactivate your PSN account off their console (PlayStation Support). This is burdensome and many people do not know that they have to do that extra step. The PS4 simplifies this and allows you to log in to any PS4 to play your games. This is where the next major difference between the two systems take place.
On a PS3 you can purchase a digital game, download it and all users on that console have access to that game. If the PS4 will have all digital games tied to a specific account, then all users on any console could very well be locked out from having access to playing these games. If all you have for your game systems is a single user account, then this is not an issue. But if you have a family with multiple user accounts for everyone in the house, then this could become a large issue if the only way to play a digital game is to be logged in as the account that owns it.
Hopefully the PS4 will have a family sharing option that allows all users on a specific console to play games purchased, because if not, physical game discs will have another advantage over digital.

Steam Summer Sale 2013

By Sledgstone, in Games,

Steam has started their yearly Summer Sale. Expect huge discounts on numerous games over the next 11 days. The sale is good from 07/11/2013 to 07/22/2013. Don't forget, they have new sales daily and flash sales ever 8 hours. If you've been holding off on getting a game or some DLC, nows the time.
If I didn't already own Defiance on PS3, I'd buy it today on Steam because its one of today's sale items.. on sale for $13.59. Thats 66% off.. and the DLC is 66% off.. I paid $59 a little over 3 months ago just for the game and no DLC.. I wish PSN would sell me the DLC pack for 66% off.. but that won't happen. Sales like this put console game prices to shame.

It looks like Sony needs to ramp up their PS4 production to keep up with demand seeing as GameStop.com has already sold out of the Playstation 4 consoles. Physical GameStop stores have their own supplies so pre-orders may still be available at locations near you. Of course this is just one retailer... Amazon, Bestbuy, Target, Walmart, etc. are all still selling pre-orders... but for how long?

Square Enix is trying to remind everyone about Final Fantasy VII again, this time with a Pre-Order Bonus for their new game "Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII"

I loved Final Fantasy VII and I have to admit that Buster Sword looks good in an HD game. Maybe this is Square Enix's way of teasing that a FFVII HD remake could still happen? Or maybe they want to rub it in everyone's face that it will never happen and the best we'll get is a DLC for a new FF game? Its possibly a bit of both, but more likely they're doing this simply to increase their pre-orders.
For a better look at this game, check out the official E3 trailer:

I've been getting ready for spring for the last couple months and its taken up a crazy amount of my free time. We expanded our garden to be really huge last september in preparation for growing fruit and veggies. Then we decided to expand it another 6 more feet in one direction which we finally got finished last weekend. It was alot of work because our garden has an almost 6 foot tall deer fence all around it. We hammered in u-posts into the ground and attached the deer net and buried the bottom of the net so nothing will burrow under it. I should do measurements at some point to figure out its total volume. Its huge. lol.
We have 3 apple trees, 3 cherry trees, and 1 nectarine tree in there. We still have to move 3 of those trees into their permanent locations (they are only 1 or 2 year old trees so its still possible to dig them up) and we have to plant a new apricot tree in there. I prepped the two rows for veggies last month but theres alot of weed whacking to do still and plants to move. We have 4 grape vines, 4 blueberry bushes and multiple raspberry plants to move. I started a bunch of veggies from seed and those tomatoes are still in an unused bath tub in my house with a light over them getting bigger every day. I'm looking forward to getting everything planted and done so all this gardening can give me a break.

Well my dryer broke after about 15 years and multiple repairs I've done over those years. I had to buy a new dryer. So far so good. I was finally able to get my laundry done again and my bathroom no longer smells like dirty socks and febreeze.

FML my pressure tank is failing for my well. Its getting replaced next week. Getting a new whole house water filter installed too along with some new valves and safety upgrades. Props to the well company employee for giving me the tip of hooking up an air compressor to the pressure tank to put some air in the bladder to get the system gimping along until the repair work is done. I miss public water. lol.

This has been a busy summer. I'm almost looking forward to winter so I can get a break from all the lawn mowing and outside projects. Hopefully the snow blower I bought this year works good so I'll have alot of free time this winter to get caught up on things. When I've had free time I've been playing Final Fantasy X over the last 5 months and I've somehow finally hit 100 hours on it. Lol. Only took me about half a year.  I still didn't beat it yet but I'm at the end game stuff now with the monster arena and omega ruins.
