The Last of Us Story DLC

By Sledgstone, in Games,

We're getting a new character in the upcoming single player DLC for The Last of Us. With no mention as to whether or not this DLC will be an epilogue or a side mission story with Joel and Ellie, the DLC might focus on a character that has never been seen before but is still tied into the plot of the game. I believe this might be the story of Ish. Little is known of Ish considering he was never seen in the game.. all we know about him is revealed by a series of notes found throughout The Suburbs chapter of the campaign.

In an interesting interview with a Sony executive, it appears that Sony's long term goal is to have "PlayStation" be a service as well as a hardware platform. Using their Gaikai tech, they envision streaming games to PCs, tablets, PlayStation hardware, etc. With this news, everyone's PlayStation account could be the equivalent of a Steam account.. and instead of downloading a game from your steam library and then playing it, the PlayStation service would allow you to chose a game from your PS library and instantly start playing it / streaming it from the PS Gaikai servers.

Last week Gabe Newell Said Linux Is The Future Of Gaming at LinuxCon. Which was basically followed by the above website.
But I bet all of this is pointing to Half-Life 4 being confirmed! (You can tell because there's 4 circles.) The one that skipped three! And they'll cast Gordon Freeman's voice actor to be Patrick Stewart!
Although if it is a Steam Box (& said Steam Box is an actual PC) I'll probably cancel my PS4 preorder.

What has become a series of PR blunders leading up to the Launch of Xbox One, You might think you were reading an article from the Onion when Microsoft warned its potential customers to stand the console up vertically at your own risk because it may cause damage. Um, what? Something that became a fad last gen for all consoles is apparently not recommended for what Microsoft touted as the future of entertainment media. Here is the direct quote from Albert Panello, senior director of product management and planning at Xbox:
He went on to say that 80% of 360 owners do indeed have their console in the vertical position. Its also worth noting that Wii, PS3 and PS4 have slot loading drives and they stand on their side with no problem. If you google image search Xbox One you'll be hard pressed to find an image of the console on its side that's not a Photoshopped sized comparison chart. It will be interesting to see what happens when people have their X1's stacked on its side... Will MS run a PR campaign? Will they put a sticker on the console with a warning? Time will tell. One has to wonder if this was a last minute discovery during testing that will be fixed on future models.

I've been getting ready for spring for the last couple months and its taken up a crazy amount of my free time. We expanded our garden to be really huge last september in preparation for growing fruit and veggies. Then we decided to expand it another 6 more feet in one direction which we finally got finished last weekend. It was alot of work because our garden has an almost 6 foot tall deer fence all around it. We hammered in u-posts into the ground and attached the deer net and buried the bottom of the net so nothing will burrow under it. I should do measurements at some point to figure out its total volume. Its huge. lol.
We have 3 apple trees, 3 cherry trees, and 1 nectarine tree in there. We still have to move 3 of those trees into their permanent locations (they are only 1 or 2 year old trees so its still possible to dig them up) and we have to plant a new apricot tree in there. I prepped the two rows for veggies last month but theres alot of weed whacking to do still and plants to move. We have 4 grape vines, 4 blueberry bushes and multiple raspberry plants to move. I started a bunch of veggies from seed and those tomatoes are still in an unused bath tub in my house with a light over them getting bigger every day. I'm looking forward to getting everything planted and done so all this gardening can give me a break.

Well my dryer broke after about 15 years and multiple repairs I've done over those years. I had to buy a new dryer. So far so good. I was finally able to get my laundry done again and my bathroom no longer smells like dirty socks and febreeze.

FML my pressure tank is failing for my well. Its getting replaced next week. Getting a new whole house water filter installed too along with some new valves and safety upgrades. Props to the well company employee for giving me the tip of hooking up an air compressor to the pressure tank to put some air in the bladder to get the system gimping along until the repair work is done. I miss public water. lol.

This has been a busy summer. I'm almost looking forward to winter so I can get a break from all the lawn mowing and outside projects. Hopefully the snow blower I bought this year works good so I'll have alot of free time this winter to get caught up on things. When I've had free time I've been playing Final Fantasy X over the last 5 months and I've somehow finally hit 100 hours on it. Lol. Only took me about half a year.  I still didn't beat it yet but I'm at the end game stuff now with the monster arena and omega ruins.
