I really liked the first season and I hope season 2 picks up the pace and incorporates some aspects of the game like the EGO system, Nim, the 99ers, Dark Matter, infector weapons, etc. Considering its a series that is connected to a game.. there are very few actual connections between the two properties. It almost feels likes its the same world but to different realities. Click here to view the article

    Your top tier anime ...

So everyone discovers old anime or new anime all the time but what do you consider is your favorite anime series or top 2 or top 3, not beyond that because then it becomes a hey check out these 10/ 15 series that are good. No, the purpose of this thread is to narrow it down to get to the top. This could be a movie or a series or an OVA. I admit I haven't kept current with many anime series that came out in the past 3 years but I check out the best rated ones from time to time and skip the rest. So far, none have impressed me to a scale where I can safely say I'd be a life long fan. The one series that comes to mind that I still watch as it comes out (or try to) is One Piece. Sledge and I have discussed this at length and I can't get myself to like the current animation style when it comes to fight sequence but it's varied from arc to arc. Thriller Bark marked the switch to a bigger resolution and better art style, supposedly, but I preferred everything from character design to art direction, music theme and more importantly - pacing - from Post Enies Lobby arc and before. The story outweighs the design and it's executed well in the anime vs the manga. There's a lot of detail I can go through but I don't want an overkill first post, so I'll end it now. Akira would be my choice of top tier anime movie, for many many reasons. I'm a fan of Ghibli or other classics by non-Ghibli studios but if I had to choose 1, I'd pick Akira. Want to know why? Hit reply and find out That's two of my choices, I would have to think of my last/ final choice or leave it at this.

http://www.vg247.com/2014/04/17/ps4-update-coming-soon-adds-sharefactory-video-editing-suite-removes-hdcp/ I wonder if they'll lift the limit on how much memory per game of clips you can have.

Yea Yaya has been talking about it non-stop on Twitter (as have Holly, Jessica, and Jesse). Can't wait to watch it when it airs. By the looks of the trailer we can expect one more guy at least but we're losing two cosplayers from last season (I know Monica isn't in this season due to school and I don't think they brought back Riki (Riddle) for this season). Yes, I follow all of them on Twitter (don't judge me). Heh, I stopped watching Top Shot because of the house drama. I missed the last season due to the freaking drama driving me away from it in the season before. Now I really wish I would of watched it. Sadly this is the problem with reality tv, they're trying to turn it into reality soaps and not give the viewers what they want. I stopped watching Survivor after the first season due to this (loved the first season but every season since has been a sad attempt to draw more people in with more drama).

I've stopped watching a lot of my favorite gun building reality shows because they shift the focus from the builds to stupid workshop drama and fake issues that supposedly would make them miss deadline. Their newsfeeds and comment sections are filled with anger and such. When you're catering to certain crowds, they watch the show for the subject material, not some BS drama. That audience watches shit like survivor. I'm surprised they filled it will drama on the first season... normally they reel everyone in and then the following seasons they insert that garbage. In the final season of History's Top Shot they removed all the house drama and made it solely about competitive shooting. The fanbase loved it, the ratings grew by a double digit percentage, and then History cancelled it after that... it seems TV execs don't have a clue that people like informative, intelligent material about their hobbies. Not storylines about personal drama. Hell there is even a website you can go to to look up people that have been on some of these shows telling you how fake it is. American Guns was cancelled because the tv execs felt like they didn't have any more stories to tell... umm wtf? No one watched it for the stories, they watched it for the gunsmithing.
