Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare - Campaign Story Trailer

Sledgstone

With nations brought to their knees by a global terrorist attack, the world turns to Atlas, the largest private military company on the planet. Power, though, changes everything.

The campaign could be good, but is it $60 good? I don't know, but I do know I wont be buying this game for the multiplayer. We have another COD: Advanced Warefare topic, but it turned into a BF4 discussion. :P

Ooh! Speaking of BF I think jonnyethco who I assume is involved with BFF made a funny vid about a bird's pecker!.... Well yeah.... I can't post it due to how much the bird wants to show off his pecker....

On the bright side of CoD I'm still glad they didn't do MW featuring Transformers.

*Edit*

Also if he did work on BFF check out "Batman: I Never Use guns".

COD's story hasn't been worth $60 since COD4 and even then that story wasn't exactly worth the $60 price tag (though the multiplayer was, I can't stress how much I loved COD4 multiplayer (too bad it was taken over by the damn hackers).

Don't tempt fate Sledge, this could easily turn into another BF4 topic or we could turn it into a Destiny topic if you prefer :P

Ghosts saw a 30% decrease in sales vs. Black Ops 2. Destiny is going to hurt COD. With the PS4 outselling Xbox One 3:1 it might suffer a bit more as all the time exclusives for for Xbox... which is a pretty stupid mistake as they knew what the sales numbers were well before they announced it. It could have just ben Acti playing nice with how hard Bungie has been fraternizing with the PS4 crowd.

I like watching some multiplayer streams to learn some decent strategies to improve my own games, but watching Call of Duty is getting to be like watching Golf for me. Both are now boring for me to watch but are more enjoyable to play instead. lol.

At least sledgehammer is trying to add something more to the same old game. The new things I noticed.. everyone now has crazy jumping abilities thanks to those exo-skeletons, you can play as a female and there are some 9 vs 9 matches. The tsunami map seems cool, but I've already seen similar map transitions in BF4 almost a year ago now. And still... no dedicated servers.

Self hosting lag compensation = garbage. At least in Battlefield 4 we can blame issues on the netcode.

They barrowed from Titanfall and BF4.... nothing new... but new for COD and all the fanboys will act like it was the other games that ripped them off. I'll admit it does look a fun.

Every game should be built with a self hosting code, but it should only be used after the company decides to shut down the servers years after release.

I agree with that. Self hosting is great to keep a game going, especially if it had a bot mode to fill empty player slots too. But self hosting sucks for me. I always had lag deaths and kills through walls with horrible hit detection that was caused by that lag compensation. I will admit that this game does look much more enjoyable than ghosts. I'll wait to read reviews for the campaign though. I've got other games I'm interested in and by the time I'd get to Advanced Warfare, Black Ops 3 will probably be out.

Meh, all truth be told that looks like no fun for me. I guess I'm too spoiled by BF4 lately that I don't like fast action gameplay anymore and this just looks to over the top for me. Guess I really am done with the whole COD franchise.

BF4 still blows cod advanced warfare out of the water. Lol. And even tho this new game will have some modes with 9 players I know there will never be any real team work in the game. Every game mode is tdm with no gadgets or support items that would even encourage team work. Oh.. but now you can join in on someone's kill streak for 5-10 seconds which means almost nobody will actually use that particular one.

I won't buy this game.... but I will say it look a lot more fun than others since MW2. I really wish COD would be good again... but as I've said before, my passion for FPS competitive multiplayer has died so bad.... I've burnt out on it so hard.

I think one of the problems with me getting burned out on multiplayer is because every game has a multiplayer mode. Last of us, tomb raider, god of war, every fps game, destiny, etc. With so many games having multiplayer, the games that are made just for multiplayer are looking less and less attractive to me unless it is something new or unique or has a solid campaign that lasts longer than a couple afternoons to beat.

I've been getting ready for spring for the last couple months and its taken up a crazy amount of my free time. We expanded our garden to be really huge last september in preparation for growing fruit and veggies. Then we decided to expand it another 6 more feet in one direction which we finally got finished last weekend. It was alot of work because our garden has an almost 6 foot tall deer fence all around it. We hammered in u-posts into the ground and attached the deer net and buried the bottom of the net so nothing will burrow under it. I should do measurements at some point to figure out its total volume. Its huge. lol.
We have 3 apple trees, 3 cherry trees, and 1 nectarine tree in there. We still have to move 3 of those trees into their permanent locations (they are only 1 or 2 year old trees so its still possible to dig them up) and we have to plant a new apricot tree in there. I prepped the two rows for veggies last month but theres alot of weed whacking to do still and plants to move. We have 4 grape vines, 4 blueberry bushes and multiple raspberry plants to move. I started a bunch of veggies from seed and those tomatoes are still in an unused bath tub in my house with a light over them getting bigger every day. I'm looking forward to getting everything planted and done so all this gardening can give me a break.

Well my dryer broke after about 15 years and multiple repairs I've done over those years. I had to buy a new dryer. So far so good. I was finally able to get my laundry done again and my bathroom no longer smells like dirty socks and febreeze.

FML my pressure tank is failing for my well. Its getting replaced next week. Getting a new whole house water filter installed too along with some new valves and safety upgrades. Props to the well company employee for giving me the tip of hooking up an air compressor to the pressure tank to put some air in the bladder to get the system gimping along until the repair work is done. I miss public water. lol.

This has been a busy summer. I'm almost looking forward to winter so I can get a break from all the lawn mowing and outside projects. Hopefully the snow blower I bought this year works good so I'll have alot of free time this winter to get caught up on things. When I've had free time I've been playing Final Fantasy X over the last 5 months and I've somehow finally hit 100 hours on it. Lol. Only took me about half a year.  I still didn't beat it yet but I'm at the end game stuff now with the monster arena and omega ruins.
