Transformers: Age of Extinction

DeathscytheX
  • Here is the trailer for the 4th installment of the Transformers film series.

Looks terrible... and the CGI looks the worst of the 4 films... pass.

Optimus on Grimlock is the sweetest idea ever! This movie however is not. The only crowning achievement was that one part. Sigh, you'd think after how terrible the 2nd and 3rd movies were they would of just given up. Gah, my childhood continues to get raped.

Anyone notice that no robot spoke a single word in the entire trailer? Well.. Optimus grunted twice as if passing gas around the 8 second mark. Its all about the humans.. and the giant cg battles in the background. -_-; But what happened to Sam Whitwititickiey? I still can't spell his name. I'm surprised the trailer wasn't about him trying to live a normal daily life with his parents when a giant battle breaks out in their backyard.

As far as I know Shia is done with the movies now. I believe he was only contracted to do the first three thats why Marky Mark is in this one. Plus I'm sure there will be some sort of recap at the beginning of this movie since it's supposed to take place 4 years after that horrible 3rd movie.

I haven't even seen movies 2 and 3 I couldn't watch the bad acting from whats her face I'm so awesome but I think Steven Spielberg is a chauvinistic ass girl.

they need to shoot these movies like a rabid animal.

Stirke 1 - Making a joke of out Devastator after mislabeling him in the first film.

Strike 2 - "Transformers Heaven" and sock dust

Strike 3 - Reducing Shockwave into some side show insignifcant villain that accomplished nothing.

Strike 1 - Shia Labeouf

Strike 2 - Shia Labeouf's parents

Strike 3 - Thinking people would like Shia Labeouf because of his GF(s)

Foul Ball - Thinking Michael Bay was a good choice for directing Transformer Movies

And now for a different sport

Indiana Jones golf ball got stuck in a sand pit with The Temple Of Doom then much later ended up in a pond thanks to Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull

That's more accurate....

Looks as bad as the other movies in the franchise but it's on par with other dumb movies that go on to make tons of money, won't list them so as not to hurt the sentiments of users on here. Mark's in it to cash in on his popularity. It's still going to make a lot of money, regardless.

Transformers: Age of Extinction Official Trailer #2

I have a feeling that this movie will probably be the best Michael Bay can do with Tranformers. Hopefully he'll stop making them after this movie. Aliens are killing all humans.. and its up to Optimus to be resurrected (by Mark Wahlburg), jump onto a dinosaur and then save all of humanity. This trailer reminds me of the Jesus riding a dinosaur meme.

Again the only cool thing in that entire trailer is Grimlock and Optimus riding him, otherwise it looks mediocore and to be rewriting what happened in the last three movies. If that truck Marky Mark finds is Optimus why in the hell would he need to be resurrected? For christ sakes this movie is only taking place 4 years after Dark of the Moon. Gah, Bay needs to just take his hands off my freaking childhood because all hes doing is ruining it.

If he wants to tackle that beast let him, he won't hurting my feelings. Plus Eva is from my early anime years so it's not like that will ruin my childhood (nor is Eva a favorite of mine, was a good show but was way over-hyped for what it was).

Thanks Spectrum/Time Warner for shutting off my services in the middle of the work day. fml. I scheduled the new account activation at my new house for this weekend and for the old account at the house I'm renting to terminate as of monday.. so what does Spectrum do? Shut my account down 1 day before the new account is activated and a full 4 days before it was scheduled to close. wtf. It took me 40 mins on the phone for them to reactivate my internet so I could finish working. wtf.

With the summer simuldub season coming to a close, it played out like I predicted more or less. I'll wait a bit longer before I post my review. Pretty lackluster overall. But for me, the Fall Lineup is pretty stacked. Fairy Tail, SAO Season 3, and Black Clover continues which has become a lot more promising after this last arc I just watched... by far its strongest and most compelling. I watched the first episode of Double Decker! Doug & Kirill which was entertaining, and SSSS.GRIDMAN seems to be a Pacific Rim clone. Overall a return to more action adventure series, and lighter on the fan service heavy series.

The last two chapters of One Punch Man have been the best action/fight scenes I've seen in a manga in years. Flashy Flash's fight was epic and focused on speed and technique. Huge props to the artist for how he drew a speed battle in manga form. Very impressive.

Although its also on the PS4, I purchased Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana for the Switch recently because it's just been collecting dust. It was probably the better option anyways because the graphics look like something out of the N64/PS2 era with modern draw rates. Not a knock against it, as its quite charming... but the game looks like it belongs on the Switch rather than PS4. Everything about this game is so 1998. I've never played any of the Ys games before, but this one caught my eye for the old school hack and slash. It's very Dark Cloud-ish minus the world building. Sprinkle some old Zelda in there as well. The combat is relatively simple with 1 button main attack, and 4 special attacks that consist of holding R1 and pressing A B Y X. These use a SP meter that replenishes on kills. There are also dodge and block counters that give you a special speed combo ability. You have a party of 3, and characters that join where you can swap them out and swap between the three in combat. Each character has a assigned damage type (Slash, Precise, Bash). Having all 3 types helps weaken the right enemies susceptible to these plus you get a rare drop bonus... rather than the 1.1x bonus for having two of the same. Anyways, the story is campy but interesting, the dialogue is 90's cringeworthy, and its a lazy sprinkle of actual voice acting and text reading. The world is  large but a bunch of sectioned off instances that quickly load without a loading screen as you cross them. There are fast travel points but not in every sector, so it requires some old school memorizing where to go at times. As you get special gear, you'll find places that were inaccessible previously open up. I'm 20 hours in and I don't feel like I'm even half way through. So at $60, I feel like I'm getting my money's worth for a decent nostalgia kick. I bet this will be a free PS Plus game next year so when it comes up I highly recommend it without even finish it. I'll report back when I beat it with a proper review.
