  1. Now that the state of Mississippi has opted into the lottery, I can take a 15 min drive across the state line to a little gas station and buy tickets. Its astonishing how my state just refuses to even let us vote on it. People take their money to FL and GA for lotto tickets, and now the state we share out biggest border has it... on top of that most of the population is on the west side of the state anyways making it even easier. XD So dumb. I'm just glad I don't have to drive an hour plus to get tickets anymore. I can now make a weekly trip and try my luck.

Just wait.. before you know it your state will go even further and pass a law to make the entire state dry. No voting on it either. Alcohol will be as illegal as lottery. XD

Nah, they'd never do that. We do have strict open container laws. Like you couldn't take your alcoholic beverage out of a restaurant and go around and drink it outside. They do have an entertainment district downtown where this is allowed now. I don't know if the state of the law now because the first thing they did when the shutdown happened was allow togo cocktails, alcohol deliveries, etc from bars and restaurants. From what I've seen so far, none of my favorite spots to eat have permanently gone out of business.

I couldn't imagine living in a dry county. Again, they're just losing business. I actually think there are a few dry counties in MS and they drive over here to load up and go home. Surprisingly they just passed medical marijuana not too long ago. I always joked that weed would be legal before we ever had a lotto and it looks like thats coming true.

A few months after Covid hit, one of the bars tried to make a Beer and alcohol delivery van. They were going to run it like an ice cream truck and go up and down the streets playing music to lure adults out to buy beer while keeping social distancing. NY shut that shit down before they could do it. XD The open container laws around here are pretty much the same as most states, the only time they don't enforce it is at the locations of events like the state fair, local fairs, in the ground of outdoor concerts, etc. We have medical marijuana here to, but as far as I know they treat it the same as open alcohol containers in terms of outdoor use. But here, everyone sells loto tickets. Some of those are expensive tho.. Win $20,000 a month for life... only $20 a ticket. x_x I never win anything so I only buy a mega millions and powerball on occasion.
