  1. Wow great way to look on the brightside Sledge:rotflmao: Do I wan't to know what the hell is "kiss the baby"? I NEVER let anyone kiss on my daughter when she was little. I was way paranoid about germs. I JUST had a ear infection, my first in 20 some years. Since I am pregnant they gave me these crappy anti biotics that were related to penicillin (which I am allergic to). I kept fainting and blacking out:faint: but my ear hurt so damn bad I just finished the 7 day script and stayed home that week.:barf2:No to mention is tore my stomach up.
  2. They are so cute! They would make cute dolls.

Family friend Rob Hill identified the victim as Dave Martin of Solana Beach, a retired veterinarian. The man was attacked by what authorities believe was a great white shark at Tide Beach around 7 a.m., authorities said. Story continues below ↓ advertisement Martin was taken to a lifeguard station for emergency treatment but reportedly bled to death at the scene. The man's injuries crossed both thighs and were made "by what is probably a great white shark," San Diego County sheriff's Sgt. Randy Webb said in a statement. "It looks like the shark came up, bit him, and swam away," said Solana Beach Deputy Fire Chief Dismas Abelman. Scripps Institution of Oceanography shark expert Richard Rosenblatt said the shark was probably a great white between 12 and 17 feet long. Shark won't likely be located Rosenblatt said the victim was likely killed with a single upward thrust and bite. Water in the area is 20 to 30 feet deep. The expert said it's unlikely the shark can be located. The attack took place about 150 yards offshore. Several swimmers wearing wetsuits were in a group when the shark attacked, said Solana Beach lifeguard Craig Miller. Two swimmers were about 20 yards ahead of the man when they heard him scream for help. They turned around and dragged him back to shore. Click for related content North America's shark beaches Swimmers were ordered out of the water for a 17-mile stretch around the attack site and county authorities sent up helicopters to scan the waters for the shark. "The shark is still in the area. We're sure of that," Mayor Joe Kellejian said. Hill, a member of the Triathlon Club of San Diego, said he was running on the beach while about nine other members were in the water when the attack took place. "They saw him come up out of the water, scream 'shark,' flail his arms and go back under," Hill said. "The flesh was just hanging." Hill said club members had been meeting at the beach for at least six years and never had seen a shark. However, Hill said he saw a sea lion on the beach Friday, which was unusual for the area, and speculated that perhaps the shark had been hunting them and got close to shore. The shark may have confused the wet-suited swimmers with his prey, he said. Rosenblatt, the shark expert, said white sharks travel through the area, and the way the man was attacked and the "massive" but clean wounds "sounds like what a white shark would do." White sharks hunt along the bottom, look for seal silhouettes above and then rise to attack, he said. "A human swimmer is not too unlike a seal," he said. Solana Beach is 14 miles northwest of San Diego. Shark attacks are rare Shark attacks are extremely rare. There were 71 confirmed unprovoked cases worldwide last year, up from 63 in 2006, according to the University of Florida. Only one 2007 attack, in the South Pacific, was fatal. The last fatal shark attack in California, according to data from the state Department of Fish and Game, took place in 2004, when a man skin diving for abalone was attacked by a great white shark off the coast of Mendocino County. On Aug. 19, 2003, a woman swimmer was killed by a great white at Avila Beach in San Luis Obispo County on the central California coast. The last fatal shark attack along San Diego County was off Ocean Beach in April 1994.
  4. My mom always looked WAY younger than what she was. People used to ask if we were sisters and she would pause a bit before I gleefully chimed up she wasn't my sister, she was my mom. My dad shaved his head so u never saw any of his gray and always looked younger. People thought he was my hired body guard at a high school dance once. He had a diamond stud in one of his ears and he had a suit on. My mom needed volunteers to chaerone a school dance and CLAIMS she ran out of people (yeah right!!). It just so happened to be the first dance I got a date for. So yeah...I never lived that down. My parents are in their 50's now. BUT my mom DID lie about when she had me. She told me that her and my dad married in June or July of 1981 ( I think it was june?) I was born in first half of January 1982. She would go ON and ON about waiting till I was married to have sex. I was a full term baby. Do the math.
  5. OMG. It's yet another thing that the goverment wants to cut corners with and save themselves money to fund their sick political scemes to manipulate the country. I remember when my daughter was born we refused the cord blood banking they offered. My ex thought they were trying to gather DNA for test tube clone babies. It is probably true..
  6. Gas in priced $5.40 in Gorda Springs, California. It's one of the only the only gas station along the pacific highway.
  7. Yes second c section and I am not looking forward to being cut. I didn't get a choice, since I had too many problems with my first labor.
  8. I am due September 7th 2008. But because I have to have a c section it will be before that. They can't schedule me yet for one till June, but by then I will know for sure then when baby will be here.
  9. Some places along the California coast highway is 5+. My husband is in California right now and it's up there at 3.50. I got gas yesterday here in Arizona at AM/PM for 3.25 a gallon. I have a neon with a 10-11 gallon tank. What used to be an easy 20 bucks to fill (this time last year) it is now 35! Thankfully I am a 15 minute drive to work. I would ride the bus, but we have some scary ass people who ride the bus around here. I'm curious to see what our light rail will be like.
  10. Caitlin has a baby brother (my ex and his gf have a son together and he is almost a year old.) She takes her doll and puts it under her shirt. She says " I'm feeding my baby with my little boobie." Wow. Kids are smart..LOL. She likes the idea of having another baby brother. She saw the ultra sound pics and she kissed my belly today. CUTE! I suddenly wanted to change the name from what we orginally wanted: Atreyu Dresden Leon. I was watching a mexican soap opera (don't ask me why..I'm doing some strange shit this pregnancy..) and the guy's name was 'Marcelo". I LOVED that name. But my husband hated it. We argued and argued over it (stupid huh?) untill today when we were at the ultra sound and he said "Atreyu Marcelo Garcia" Which means: Atreyu: Indian for boy warrior (NO NOT THE NEVERENDING STORY CHRACTER, though I love that movie) Marcelo-Spanish, French and Italian for " Little Warrior" and Garcia (our last name) meaning "Like a fox". Put it all together and you have "Little boy warrior like a fox". How could I pass that up? It just worked and we love it. So, that's his name.
  11. Well, I can say at least I am not having a cow or a panda (since I seem to love coconut soup with bamboo shoots). It's a baby alright... I finally had an ultra sound today (this pregnancy seems to be dragging on). Baby couldn't look healthier and it was quite ovious he is a boy! So, now I have my boy and my girl. No more kids after this..I'm getting my tubes tied.
  12. Did she touch people? I thought that people died because they looked at her and they died of fright.
  13. OMG! This movie scared the crap out of me. Especially the dead chick in the closet. I never got that image out of my head. I have no idea how that creepy little girl called people, since she was trapped in a well for so long. A cell phone? LOL. I have to agree with goku's brain theory. Watch the movie and it will answer all your questions.
  14. Wow. You seem really cool. Gaelic huh? I have a few things I would like to learn to say in gaelic. Welcome! You will enjoy it here!
  15. I did feel great after I finally got it off my chest. I couldn't talk about the accident till recently because it was an open case. It was over with, but since the family of the victim wants a trial, they are getting one. Also I forgot to mention that the victim had a gf, who gave her CPR after my husband told her not to. At one point the truck was on top of the victim and he lifted it so she could crawl out. She was up walking around and talking. My husband went to the top of the ditch to flag a car to call 911 since he had no signal. When he returned a few minutes later, there was blood on both girl's mouths and the victim was dead. I think what happened is at one point the Gf freaked out and tried to perform CPR and further contributed to what internal injuries the victim had. This very easliy could have killed her. The Gf has changed her story that she gave the police at the scene several times. Poor thing, I feel sorry for her too. Anyway...It has gotten a lot better in the last day or so. My mother in law has wanted to call and apologize to me for yelling at me. She was working most of the weekend so she hasn't called yet, but she has told my husband how bad she feels. I'm sure she is under a lot of pressure too. It will work out. It just sucks it has to be this rough.
  16. Well, who ever said that I would be on here posting married life sucks was right..to a point. Since I can't post blogs anywhere with out my in laws reading away..I can only post this here. First of all, since my husband and I have been dating (dated back in June, married in january) this dumb bitch has been texting me with shit about how my husband was having sex with her the first few weeks that we were dating. She then claimed that she was pregnant by him. 11 months go by and she FINALLY had her baby. So that would mean that my husband was out of the mix (since he admitted to sleeping with her once 2 months before we dated). Therefore she would have had her baby in January, not March. Not to mention she lied and told everyone she was divorced. Come to find out she lived with her husband the whole time. Plus, she slept with several people (who came to me and admitted it) in the time frame that she claims to have slept with my husband. Were looking at 5 possible baby daddys not including my husband. So wtf? To really make it bad, she calls my husband up all sweet and cute and said ' oh well now that I think about it I'm sure that is my husband's son and we are just so happy..blah blah blah'. You know that whole 'hey sorry I harassed you both for almost a year, but it's ok now'. No! If I wasn't pregnant I would have beaten that bitch for causing so much turmoil. And who knows if My husband did or didn't. He SWEARS he didn't and I never caught him lying before. BUT DNA dosn't lie and that bitch won't get a DNA test. Did I mention she told all everyone that she was kicked in the stomach when she was a kid and couldn't have kids? Second, My husband was in a car accident a year ago where someone was killed. It was proven to be a mechanical failure, but the girl who died removed her seatbelt the split second before the tire axl snapped. The failure of that part caused the truck to hit and inbankment and flip. She was thrown and died of her injuries at the scene. My husband was with her at the time of her death. She was the younger sister of someone he knew and he was giving her and a friend a ride home. Both him and the other girl walked away with a few scratches. She would have lived had she had her seatbelt on. For a year now her family has been trying to send my husband to jail for murder, though it has been proven beyond a doubt he had no fault, he wasn't speeding, no drugs or alcohol, etc.. I have had to get letters of chracter, dealt with all these lawyers, threats from her family (one innocent near Thanksgiving where the mother drove by the neighbor's house thinking it was his, and yelled threats) and the emotional damage it has taken on all these familes (My husband's, The victim's and the victim's gf's). A lot of lies have swirled around in this small town he is from, making any visits out there dangerous. I can't go with him when he goes to these court dates because of fear of the victim's family seeing me, and knowing my face. They pose a threat to me and my kids. My husband is gone once a month, sometimes twice. Working is in possible with all this court crap so I am working again now to help support. This has taken a heavy and emotional toll on all of us. Third, My sister is pregnant ( 2weeks behind me) and is a crystal meth addict. She lives on the streets, sleeps in her car, and steals to survive. I have tried to help her, but that means I have to lock up everything of value if she comes over. Her Bf got arrested once infront of my apartment complex for fighting with her. I can't allow them at my home because of the 'no crime law' we have here stating no one can be arrested at your apartment or you will be evicted. Since her Bf is a fucking crack headed spaz, he can't be at my home and she wont leave his dumb ass. My husband and I have argued over her so many times it's not funny. She won't go to rehab because she says she 'Dosn't have a problem'. My family and friends always ask me (since I live in the city where she is at) Why don't I help her? It's a guilt trip every fucking day, but I can't waste money to drive around looking for her. When I do find her it's a knock down drag out brawl to pull her away from her BF, who is usually at some crack house smoking a glass dick (aka: a pipe). So, what the hell am I to do? She won't listen to me. Call CPS and have her hate me the rest of my life? I don't know. and last...The ultrasound drama. This accident has taken a lot of time away from my husband to the point where I just don't fucking care anymore if he goes to the doctor with me or not. He trial begins Tuesday the 22nd of this month, and we find out the sex of the baby on the 21st. I assumed he wouldn't be there since he has to go out of state. Infact, I don't want to go myself let alone have him be there. There not all that fun, and if baby has it's legs crossed then you have to come back. I hate being on my back so yeah..I am not thrilled. Well, this caused a HUGE fucking fight with his parents. How I am so evil I don't want him there, and how they are not helping me ever again..So fucking what? What's the big damn deal? He may not be there when baby is born if he has to serve time for this stupid accident. Uh! I just wan't to be left alone and not get my hopes up anymore. He always gets pulled to go talk to lawyers when I do have something important to do.. I came up with a great boy baby name I am stuck on and he hates it. Newsflash...he ain't room and boarding a foreign being for 9 months so I think I have a little more say. But oh no..that's another thing I get told I am so horrible and mean for. *rolls eyes* So there is my story. Married life is great, it's all the shit that we have to deal with. Not to mention I am a moody knocked up bitch who would rather lock my self in a bathroom than listen to my husband fight with me over money or my family. Yeah, I am a great communicator these days. I feel alone most of the time, since my husband seems so distant. I know he is thinking about that accident. Most of the day he plays WOW or works around the apartment. I think he would much rather spend time in another realm than deal with what's going on. *shrugs* I don't know how to reach or help him. Let alone how to help myself. Anti depressants are out since I am pregnant, though some doctors claim they are 'safe', I would much rather not. So there you have it. Comment if you like. Thanks--HK
  17. I saw some of those Zappers at Gamestop yesterday..I FINALLY got a Wii. Pure Accident. I mean, lucky ass pure accident. Picked up that Smash Brothers Brawl as well.
  18. I just got this yesterday. I played the first 2 missions and got somewhat of a feel for the game. Here is my input so far... This game has a feature where you can adjust the light (I stuck with 50%), right off the bat so in those really dark places you can kind of see if you don't want to use your flashlight all the time. Using your flashlight can give away your position and bring enemies to you in numbers. You do not get a weapon right away, instead you have to learn to street fight and pick up items around you. My favorite so far is the prosthetic arm. A few of the odd ball weapons: toliet seat, skull, deer antler ,foosball rod, gumball machine, molotov cocktail, and a taxidermy knife. All of which you pick up in various places. Finding my way around was not easy, especially in the dark, so I cheated and got the game guide for all the maps and walk throughs. I usually do not have to use it, but there are tasks through out the game that will require you to hunt down things to destroy and some of them are tucked away. If you played the 1st condemned (which I havn't) there are some things you will see that you reconize. (The game guide points out this fat lunch lady who was from the first game.) The game kind of has a Resident Evil/Fear feel. Beware of creepies jumping out of places and unloading a massive amount of damage if you are not quick to get them off you. There are a few unlocks, including some online plays and a "condemned fight club". I wansn't thrilled over the price ($ 59.99 at Gamestop, game guide: $19.99) though I had quite a few trade-ins that made it free for me. Overall I love this game. You get addicted to the thrill of creeping around, and having shit jump out at you. This game keeps me guessing, with random objects moving, hinting a enemy near by, but faking you out (example: The wheel chair that rolls out in front of you in the Medical Supply store/Hospital and you see a shadow run from you.) Enjoy!--HK
  19. Ok so math was NEVER my strong point and I am too lazy to sit here and multiply...so 108k equals how many miles exactly?
  20. New tires on the Blue jeep are not cheap. I had a red one that was the 1st car I ever drove. When I put tires on it 10 years ago, it cost about $500. Though the tires I chose were off road tires. My mom had a white jeep cherokee laradeo like the top set of pics and we took it back to the dealer because it had issues with the rear driver. After 3 times of putting it in the shop, she dumped it for a brand new liberty. Reguardless, I like the greyish jeep in the pics and it looks very nice. How many miles are on the Jeep, since it's a 1998?
