Sledgstone reacted to DeathscytheX in inFAMOUS Second Son utilizes PS4's Touchpad
    First impressions.

This game is a blast so far. Unlike previous inFAMOUS games, you're powers are not unlimited. You have to absorb them through proper sources. All I have is the smoke ability currently. and when I use it up I have to find a smoke source to absorb power from. If I cant find one, I can just bash a car until it starts to smoke and drain it.

You gain a good amount of abilities from the start, and instead of shock orbs, there are drones with "shards" to collect towards upgrading your skill tree. Some are stationary, and some are on the move. As you gain control of city areas (similar to how you do in Saints Row games) shards become visible on map.

inFAMOUS utilizes both the light bar and touchpad. There is no action/interact button like we're accustomed too. instead you swipe the touchpad to open doors or lift objects. The light bar is mostly used for spray painting graffiti so far. I like the touchpad after getting use to it. In one instance you had to swipe up and hold to lift a platformed object while you rapidly pressed down the R2 button to inflict damage to it. The lack of a action/interact button frees up the dedicated button to do something else.

PS4's video capture is still jacked up.... its not just BF4. I tried to capture 2 events and neither one was properly recorded. I had to settle for different clips to share in the end.

The lack of power cords to quick travel across makes this game a lot different from previous inFAMOUS games. You're not Cole anymore and your powers are different. There is a lot more parkour involved. Its looking like it uses more of a Saints Row 4 version of gliding... but not as overly powerful as of now... they've also seemed to borrow the quick travel aspect minus the ship outside the matrix. lol.. its not a bad thing at all.

it was good to see Ragnar and Bjorn reunited. And what Lagertha had to do to convince her new husband to help clearly shows how much she still loves Ragnar. As for poor little princess Aslaug, who had to suffer the dirty conditions..geesh, I'm not liking her character anymore than how she started. She can learn a thing or two from Siggy and Lagertha...theres more to life than having babies...i hope they kill her off soon...frustrating to see her complaining...ok we get it, your father was Sigurd

Here is a tech demo for the Mega Man indie clone, Mighty No. 9. Its resemblance comes from Mega Man's co-creator Keiji Inafune, who left Capcom in 2010. Since Capcom owns the rights to all his creations he set out to make a new game that would play like the beloved blue bomber series which has been mostly neglected for years. When Inafune put his concept for Mighty No. 9 on Kickstarter it was met with an overwhelming response.

The PS4 exclusive content will include 4 new missions, an alternate outfit, and a hacking boost. At last year's E3, the PS4 hype reel listed this as a timed exclusive which is interestingly not listed as such in this trailer.
I'd also like to point out the flip flopping of the visuals for Watch Dogs, it looked amazing at E3, and some play through demos later on. Then the most recent trailer looks closer to how the last gen and Wii U versions looked, but now this trailer looks a great as E3...

Update! Ajouz is the man. He will have a new version of these light and dark skins available for the new IPB 4 we will be upgrading to and at no extra cost to me. He is the best skin developer I've ever known.

The actual look of the site will stay about the same in terms of color scheme. The layout itself will mostly be the same as well except for any changes I make to the site based on the new features as I've previously stated in this topic.

Over the past month I've been listening to a large collection of top hits from the 90s. Its 250+ songs that I've listened through a couple times now. I thought I liked the 90s, but honestly over half these songs were crap to me. Mostly because there were so many love songs and rap songs in the mix. Some love songs were ok, but after listening to so many they become annoying to me. This mix must not have been that good because it was lacking alot of rock and hit country songs from the time.

I've listened to some rap in the past, but I can honestly say that I can't stand the genre at all now. After listening to the hits from the 90s, almost all rap seems to follow the same patterns. First off, there is no actual singing unless its the chorus and almost every chorus is a woman singing about something that doesn't appear to have anything to do with the actual context of what the rapper is talking about. I know rapping is people stringing words together, but I realize that I want to hear actual singing in my music and not some guy talking fast.

Anyway, in the majority of rap songs I've listened to.. the rapper is always talking about 1) How hes better than everyone else in terms of: has more money / hoes / material possessions / drugs / best raps / etc. that are all better than everyone elses and everybody is jealous and wants to emulate them. 2) Is talking about abusing and taking in excess: sex with random women with no love involved / smoking the hell out of some weed / drinking alcohol. 3) Violence such as: Shooting people that talk shit about them / glorifying themselves in terms of killing people in their past / potentially killing more people.

So.. yeah.. Rap music seems pretty shitty to me. Of course, much of this can be considered gansta rap and that other rap could be more wholesome or have better context. Will Smith had some decent rap songs, I also enjoyed Tupac's "Dear Mama". Mostly because it was about the guy's past and the song was actually about something instead of just talking about being an amazing person that throws money at the cameras while wearing gold chains in music videos. There was also a song from Bone Thugs N Harmony called Crossroads that was decent. I couldn't make out half the words, but at least these people were singing and it was about their dead friend.

P Diddy / Puff Daddy / Sean Combs seems to be one of the worst rappers I've ever heard. He is literally talking in almost every song while sampling everyone else's songs. I listened to "I'll Be Missing You" and I can't stand the song because its a sample / remix of The Police's "Every Breath You Take". P Diddy should have never touched that song. I've also listened to some Eminem but I can't seem to enjoy it that much. I think his best song was "Stan".

I watched and rewatched the videos posted in this topic.. So far I really enjoyed the Hair Metal videos the best. Rob Zombie seems a bit too harsh for me but not as bad as Nirvana. I've owned an Alice in Chains and Stone Temple Pilot cds in my past and those are still good to me. Bloodhound Gang has some funny songs and I own one of their cds, but they don't interest me that much now.. Pantera has a couple good songs like Dragonforce, but some of their other songs are too harsh or I can't make out what they're saying. I think I'll try a few more of their songs tho. I liked that "Aint no rest for the wicked" song. I like the Vikings theme probably because I associate it with the show. System of a Down seemed a bit to broken up with political moments in the videos, but some of the lyrics and beats were good.

That Remind me video reminded me of Habbo and Portal because of how the characters and buildings are presented.. other than that I didn't like any of those songs Pchan. I think the main reason is because most of them had a repeating beat that gets stuck in my head. Once a beat becomes the most noticeable aspect of a song instead of lyrics or tempo changes, it starts to drive me nuts.

Thanks again everyone for helping me narrow down some of the songs that I now enjoy. Next, I'll try listening to some top hits of the 2000s+ and trying some more rock and hair bands. Maybe some Metallica and some older Godsmack. I remember I liked Godsmack's first CD, maybe they had a few more that were good that I missed.

Another Video Game Dream & it was kind of confusing. I couldn't tell whether I was playing SR4 or GTA5. It had the super powers of SR4 but I was fighting the Ballas from GTA5. So it was Purple vs. Purple. Although I had to be somewhere else during the final battle over the city. As one of my crew members was blowing up the Ballas HQ piece by piece.

So I ended up driving around until I had to use a public rest room. Where I would then discover some nearby Ballas looking for me. No worries I thought I'd just press The Pause Button only to find out it doesn't pause the game but turn the screen purple. So I had to skip using the rest room & kill them all. Which was pretty easy to do because they didn't have super powers.

After their deaths their Lieutenant showed up. He ends up looking like Hannibal Chau from Pacific Rim but with Batou's eyes from GitS & was wearing a purple suit. Or was that just Hannibal Chau as his glasses are kinda round & his suit is a little purple.

Even more confusing as the Ballas are exclusively  African American. In any case I easily defeated him or would have if he wasn't immortal. So even though I now have him by the legs forcing his skull into the ground he still won't die. I eventually woke up & had to go use the bathroom.

Godsmack was good up until their Oracle CD (the last one they released). That album (with the exception of 2 songs) was complete crap (and this is coming from a huge Godsmack fan). Skip that CD unless your interested in listening (only good news is they're in the studio recording their new album, hopefully it's much better). I won't touch Metallica (personal preference and I still hate them for taking Napster down, bastards). They had a few good songs, don't really understand why they're so big.

You covered every reason why I don't listen to rap. I listen to Eminem only because I actually do like his songs ("The Way I Am" being one of my all time favorite songs).

Honestly.. I teared up a bit too. It was so sad. And was it just me or did General Gaius look genuinely sad to see that his friend was really gone. I mean, yeah the guy was evil, but I kind of felt bad for him that what was left of his best friend was the one who killed him.

I might have heard the cut scene wrong, but I think that moonblood guy said there were five blades. And there were five light sources on Ahrah that were blinking out as Dust died which might be what those stood for. Look at 2:46 in the video above. I want a sequel for this game. There is so much more they could do. Maybe one of those Elysian blades is evil as a counter balance to Ahrah. Perhaps in a sequel Dust will find someone as powerful as himself wielding one of the blades. It could be a Jedi vs Sith kind of plot line. Also.. Fidget is a Nimbat.. and her tribe has been the guardians of the sword for what.. centuries I think. Even tho we saw normal villages, Mudpot people and Moonbloods, we never got to see where Fidget came from. Maybe in a sequel we could see the nimbat village and possibly a new continent of creatures and characters. Perhaps since Dust turned into a dust form at the end of the game and flew off.. perhaps he was being carried away to where he needs to be next to fulfill his destiny.

Exactly. I dont like some maps as much as the next one, but I much rather play it than the same damn small map over an over again.

Ive got a better grasp on Stryder and damn is it the best! Ogre is durable and all, but my two Stryder loadouts take the cake. I can dance around any ogre and destroy them with my pure speed. I put all the anti-titan weaponry on my Stryder classes, and put anti pilot weaponry on the ogre.

Despite issues reported on facebook. The game worked from the second it opened up until I stopped playing. I did get a 100 ping issue during on match, but it resolved itself.

There are A LOT of maps, and they are all very different. from 11pm to 2am we only played 1 of the maps twice. Our first match was against some dude that was already level 35 and another that was 28 they cracked the beta exe to unlock the preloaded game and we got destroyed. After we left that server we never lost again the rest of the night.

You start out with the Atlas and must complete both sides of the campaign to unlock Ogre and Stryder... however there is a premade class of each if so desire to use them. The Ogre is a beast.. a bit over powered it seems. Its not much slower than Atlas, and its shield core ability makes it insanely durable when active. The Stryder cannot take much punishment, but I'm sure as soon as I get the hang of it, it will be my favorite. I was able to make some wild escapes with the extra dash ability... and there is a load out later on that lets dash regenerate faster.

The game is a blast... im too tired to type up anything else.
