  1. I finished the last episode of the last season of Clone Wars yesterday. Holy shit that was epic. The final 4 episodes combined could have been aired as an animated movie. It is literally the end of the clone wars and shows what happened with Ashoka during the events of Star Wars episode 3, The Revenge of the Sith. It all fits perfectly as to why she was not in the movies. I'm very pleased we got this final season. I'd love to see more of her character in a standalone series, either animated or live action. Especially considering how they left her character in an open ended adventure at the end of Rebels.

Lmao. I can understand somebody making a random reaction video to a trailer, but actually playing full episodes "while reacting" sounds like copyright claim material. I suppose video game let's plays are similar though, but at least video games require input and gameplay. She sounds like the type of person that would be like.. "I just got disney+, I have so much YouTube content to work with now!"
  3. Its actually pretty accurate. And its technically an official video from the Chinese government. https://deadline.com/2020/05/china-mocks-us-coronavirus-reaction-animated-video-1202924889/
  4. Thanks for the heads up, I was having the same issue last week while play FF7, every other random video that started playing next was.. "FF7 remake spoilers, theres your warning..." and I had to quickly cancel the video. wtf.

I've never heard of Suzy Lu until yesterday.
  6. I'm avoiding the spoilers. Lol. I want to go into the game blind and experience it first hand. Regardless of if it's a good game or not, just because of this leak and the resulting yt video strikes they are pretty much guaranteed that everyone will now make a negative review video for the game once it releases regardless of gameplay or plot because that's what youtube does whenever a dev wants content taken offline. I still doubt the game will come out this year. Because of the endless delays they got the game delisted almost a month ago and all digital preorders were refunded. Now they have a release date in June just to get preorders started back up and then this all happened. They have mismanaged this game hard. I expect they'll miss the June release and delay again until September.
  7. Hollow Man was really good. The only part of the plot that didn't make sense, unless they covered it in the movie and I forgot, was being naked all the time must have been uncomfortable. Its raining or chilly out nd he's got to be naked and cold.. and I couldn't imagine running around with my dick flopping all over the place, even invisible. Lmao. It sounds painful.
  8. I enjoyed this movie. It was definitely a different take on the invisible ability compared to previous incarnations of the movie property. I remember another invisible man movie I liked with Kevin Bacon but I couldn't find it while searching "invisible man imdb" i had no idea there was that many movies. Wtf. It's like every other year they make one that I've never seen. Turns out the Kevin Bacon one is called Hollow Man. I completely forgot it was a different name. But in my googling it brought up the Invisible man series from back in 2000. That show was enjoyable even though it got canceled after 2 seasons. Back to this 2020 movie I liked the ending but... spoilers for the Tom Cruise Mummy movie and this movie...
  9. https://treasurydirect.gov/NP/debt/search?startMonth=01&startDay=20&startYear=2017&endMonth=05&endDay=01&endYear=2020 $24,854,078,687,272.52 Almost a month later and the national debt has now gone up roughly $840 billion dollars. Trump administration has added almost $6 trillion dollars to the debt since he took office. This number is going to keep going up.. and now I bet he'll want China to pay for this like he wanted Mexico to pay for the wall. Don't blame the policies we have in place or the actual failure of our government, nope.. gotta blame somebody else. Although it would be interesting to see China get sued by multiple governments around the world over this. I doubt it would lead to anything tho. The worse thing than this national debt is the individual state's debts. Multiple states and cities across the USA are now facing massive budget issues. I read my local taxes will probably be going up by the end of the year because school systems in this region alone are multiple tens of millions of dollars in the hole now too.
  10. I can't find the article now, but apparently that extra $600 a week for unemployment was being paid by only 44 states as of earlier this week because the states have been slow to implement it. I thought that unemployment benefit was paid by the federal government. Turns out it was a federal law in the CARES act forcing states to pay that $600 a week. No wonder many states are now wanting to rush to re-open. Many governors have already stated that once a persons job is available again, if they do not take their job back (because unemployment is paying them more than working), it will be considered a voluntary resignment and they'll be kicked off unemployment. I also have heard from a friend that some people not eligible for unemployment are able to claim reduced hours as a claim somehow and are still getting roughly 30 hours a week in or so along with the additional $600 a week. That screams of fraud to me and it really emphasizes how badly implemented all the Covid19 relief programs are right now. And dead people being sent stimulus checks. Wtf. After all this is over I'm expecting a new oversight committee / investigation to kick in later this year to weed out all the fraud and mismanaged money. I have a feeling quite a few people are going to be getting audited next tax season to get some of that money back. I've been audited twice in the past. The IRS likes to let you do your normal taxes at the beginning of the year and then they audit you and give you a bill in November of that year.. So anyone getting free money now they don't qualify for will probably be getting a hefty bill from the IRS come November of 2021. At that time watch people complain their asses off again.. "the government is taking my stimulus money, they never told me it was a loan!" Its not a loan, but I guarantee people that get audited got way more money than they should have and will plead ignorance. If we had adequate testing we could determine if we've reached "herd immunity" status yet, but because there still isn't any wide spread testing available it seems like many of these states are doing the test run to see if its safe or not. Well good luck Texas, Georgia, etc. Hopefully no major outbreaks happen there and we'll be good to go nationwide soon.
  11. I finally finished iZombie after starting and dropping it a couple times over the years. Its all on Netflix and it was an enjoyable show. It came out during the height of the zombie craze thanks to TWD, but its nothing like a traditional zombie show whatsoever. Its basically a lighthearted police show reminiscent of Psych or Castle, but instead of a psychic or book author helping the police detective solve crimes, its the police morticians, mostly Liv, who ends up becoming a zombie in the first episode. But as long as she eats brains, she stays a mostly normal functioning human. As she eats brains she sees memories of the deceased and she basically poses as a psychic for the first season or so.. and then it gets very good as the zombie virus starts spreading as the series progresses.

Its an enjoyable show and only 5 seasons long so its an easy watch. The writing and acting is good and although alot of episodes are standalone, it does have an ongoing plot line for each season leading up to major developments thoroughout the entire series.

I used to watch all kinds of crap back in the day, RIP off shows, generic b-movies, etc. Now I'm much more selective.. except when it comes to zombies. XD Z-Nation was a great show. XD iZombie was enjoyable.. but the most surprising zombie movie I almost didn't take a chance on but I'm glad I watched it was Attack of the Lederhosen Zombies. I'm not linking the trailer on youtube because it's the worse trailer edit ever made. But the movie was hilarious and on par with any Sharknado movie in terms of comedy. XD

      DeathscytheX

Z-Nation was the other one. XD. I really didn't care for Sharknado. It tried too hard to be bad so in the end if wasn't funny bad, or good to me, just mediocre which is the worst thing you can do in my eyes. They went from showing bad movies to trying to make ones and it just didn't do it for me. Mega Piranha will always be the best one they showed. I think that's the one where they had a car chase, and one of the characters was shifting an automatic transmission like it was a manual, and both cars kept changing makes and models in the same scene because I guess it was whatever car they could afford to rent that day of filming. XD Like the SUV was black and the car was white the whole time but they kept changing between a ford and a Chevy. They put stickers over the model/make decals to try to compensate. But this part will always be legendary:

      That movie was great. XD

Mega Python vs Gateroid will always be a favorite of mine just because if this bad fight scene.

The acting was so bad it was amazing. XD

Sharknado 3 was the best one. The rest of those movies were garbage compared to fighting sharks in space. XD

  12. I made a deal with a roofing company.. my roof repair is going to set me back a solid $1500.00 There goes my stimulus check plus some. I think I could have gotten a cheaper deal with a different company, but this guy does legit quality work. I figure you get what you pay for in most circumstances and this repair job will require replacing a small chunk of the roof, plywood and shingles at least 6x4, and blending new shingles in with existing ones and it'll come with a full warranty and guaranteed not to leak.

yeah it sucks. last year it was a water heater. this year it was a dryer. its always something to fix or replace. i got my stimulus last week but i barely break even, and not counting car maintenance/repairs etc. heres hoping for 2nd stimulus but texas is reopening this friday so i dont know. maybe lol. do u still live in that old place next to cemetery? i remember hurricane ike back in 2008, it did a pretty good damage on the roof and it took them a week to fix it. good thing it was covered bc it was close to 5 grand

I hear ya, its like every week for me is paycheck to paycheck because something keeps coming up. My water heater freaking out in the middle of winter was a pain. I didn't have the money to replace it so I fixed it myself, I have a new dip tube ordered from amazon for it too then it should finally give me hot water longer than 8 minutes. x_x 5 grand to repair the roof.. damn. x_x Roofs are costly. x_x The roof guy gave me a quote for just over $10k for a new metal roof and an extra $6k for the garage. x_x One of these days I'll do that but finance it with a payment plan. We're leaning towards metal over shingles because it looks really nice and it'll be good for 50 years.

Nope, don't live there any more. We bought a house in October of 2018. :D We're about a 15 minute drive away from the old house we were renting. Its a single floor house with detached garage and we have 1.24 acres of privacy. :D I do miss the cemetery tho. But now I have woods surrounding the entire backyard so its nice.

Another stimulus would be amazing and helpful, but I don't think we'll get it. I think the state's will start forcing openings to get the economy going again because if they don't soon, the damage might be too big for alot of businesses to survive.

  13. Congrats on the new job. Holy crap that sucks about the unemployment. From what I read about that unemployment bonus you should have gotten a flat +$600 a week with that $375. Damn. I guess there must be more to it than that. I know someone else about to get their first unemployment check. I'll ask her if she got it or not.
  14. I read they're still debating an additional stimulus that sends more checks out or not. I don't think it'll happen. The government would rather open back up and take their chances then hand out more free money to citizens. I bet we'll see more public opinion switching over to re-opening everything because US citizens will start snapping soon. Its already been a month in most places and alot of people will start raging soon because even though most are getting large bonuses in unemployment of free money via stimulus they'll all want someone to blame for the inconvenience. Some will blame the president, others will blame the governors, others will blame China. But the longer it goes on for the more everyone will start focusing on the individuals imposing the restrictions directly onto them.. the governors. Thats also why Trump changed his position about having the governors call the shots on re-opening instead of himself, because he wants the blame shifted to them. And it will soon enough. I've already seen a handful of friends on facebook bashing Cuomo for NY state's economy and "bullshit restrictions".
  15. I don't know about 6 years.. not with Square Enix's track record of Kingdom Hearts. All the Kingdom Hearts games.. sure theres 1, 2, 3... and 20 more. But if we consider the entire thing to be one complete game and not endless sequels then it took Square Enix 18 years to finish Kingdom Hearts. Kingdom Hearts took so long, children were born and turned into adults by the time they finished it. I figure FF7 Remake will be like that but not in that scope. We'll probably get a handful of sequels to finish it up but not 20.
  16. Lol. I read the physical releases sold out and people have been jacking up the prices to gouge people out of their money. Its still the regular price digitally on the PSN store. Yeah it is roughly 10% of the original game, but they made that 10% with alot of additional content to make it into the equivalent of a full game on its own. I'm enjoying the hell out of it. Since you played the original you'd actually see alot of new content you've never seen before. And this game is drastically different than the original aside from the plot. Graphics, gameplay, fight mechanics, etc. I'm disappointed the entire game isn't done, but for being part one its a solid game. At this rate it'll take like another 2 years at least for the next part to come out. Kind of reminds me of how StarCraft 2 was launched with only the human campaign and then they sold the remaining two campaigns as separate releases over a couple more years for almost full price too. I think FF7 Remake will end up being different from the original game in terms of overall storyline, I can't confirm yet since I haven't beaten it though. If you're going to wait for the full game to be completely done, you'll have to wait probably another 10 years. And the final part will come out on the PS6.
  17. https://slickdeals.net/f/13992869-luminar-3-for-free-is-still-available-upgrade-to-luminar-4-for-54#commentsBox https://skylum.com/fstoppers-luminar I was browsing slickdeals this morning and came across this free copy of Luminar 3. I think its supposed to be the equivilant of photoshop? Put your email in the form and it'll send you a link to download the program and an activation key. I haven't tried the program yet, but it did send me the link and activation key. It looks like its a promo to sell their new version Luminar 4. I'll try the free Luminar 3 this week and see how I like it. It should be better than using the free online photoshop clones that run in browsers.
  18. https://www.syracuse.com/coronavirus/2020/04/coronavirus-8000-people-in-cny-likely-had-the-virus-and-never-knew-it.html Looks like the theory of "we had this in January" is becoming more real. It's a shame theres no antibody testing or even accurate antibody testing to actually confirm this. I'd like to get tested to see if I already had it or not since i was sick back in january. In other news, Smithfield had to close a huge pork processing plant and we might have a shortage of pork soon. https://www.npr.org/sections/coronavirus-live-updates/2020/04/13/833110486/u-s-meat-supply-is-perilously-close-to-a-shortage-ceo-warns
  19. https://www.cnbc.com/2020/04/15/ssi-beneficiaries-will-get-coronavirus-stimulus-payments-automatically.html Turns out they wont need to fill out that IRS form after all. The only ppl that need to use that form now are SSI, SSA, SSDI, VA ppl that don't file taxes, but have a kid under 18 they could claim as a dependent if they actually had to file taxes. That way those ppl can get an extra $500 per dependent. I think anyone that already filled out the online form just pushes them to the top of the list for getting it sent out faster.
  20. I got my stimulus funds deposited to my checking account today. Keep an eye on your bank accounts, I think everyone that has direct deposit should be having it deposited by 04/17/2020? People who do not file taxes have to fill out a form to get their stimulus.. People who receive social security benefits do not have to fill out the form unless they have children they could technically claim as dependents if they had to file taxes. https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/economic-impact-payments As far as I know, people on SSI have to fill out the form on that IRS link to get the money ASAP. If not you're supposed to still get it, but who knows when? https://www.businessinsider.com/personal-finance/irs-new-tool-for-non-tax-filers-fast-stimulus-payments-2020-4 I have two family members on SSI, so I guess they'll fill out the form.
  21. Maybe the governments are keeping the lockdown in place longer than we thought it would because they have info they're not releasing to the public? I don't know. Covid19 seems to be going through my county now. 500 cases within a 40 minute driving distance of house now. The liquor store I used to go to had an employee with it and it sounds like hes already recovered. One of the hospitals in this area are saying they recommend everyone continuing social distancing and lockdown through the entire summer because the new projections show that the new peak from flattening the curve will hit around June/July (orange line in the graph). Our health care sucks ass. No wonder China made a bunch of new hospitals. They increased health care capacity to get the curve over with faster with higher infection rates while the US has to sit idle for 5 months because theres no way in hell the US will make some new hospitals to care for patients in such a short span of time to be beneficial. They'd have to make temporary hospitals and staff them in like a week or two to rush open the economy. The US can't even fix a pot hole in a timely manner let alone open up temporary hospitals in hot spots. Meanwhile other parts of the country are probably barely getting hit with it right now and they're all sitting idle in preparation because they don't have accurate tests yet? Maybe if these tests can get out all over the country we can open this all back up alot sooner. As far as I know its still like a 5 day wait to get test results around here. *moves this post into Covid-19 topic since its more fitting there*
  22. I noticed materia doesn't spawn new ones when they get maxed out. That seems ok since they are almost all available for purchasing as extras from vendors. The flow of the game is great, and unlike the original game theres no need to go around grinding out random battles to increase levels for a hard boss fight. Although, aside from one small training area that kept respawning 3 sentries, there doesn't seem to be anywhere that respawns enemies to grind out xp from anyway. I'm only about 10 hours in if that, I just got a second summon materia and a new gun for Barret that I didn't get the chance to equip yet. This is one of the most beautiful games I've seen so far. I read there might be a PC release and I could only imagine how much better it could potentially look on a multi thousand dollar gaming rig. BTW, after that first mako reactor bombing, pretty much the entire story is new/padded out. Aside from the first bike scene, which was fucking awesome , everything else I've done never happened in the original game, like after the mako reactor bombing, that was the extent of Jesse, Biggs and Wedge involvement. They were literally only in the original game for around that first hour and that was it. Which is kind of odd, considering the original game was a solid 50-80 hour experience, but for this remaster they're adding way more content that never happened. I'm guessing the full remake will have an overall different plot than the original by the time its all done (like the walking dead show being different from the comic source material) because at this rate they'd need at least 10 of these games to cover everything from the original game. I'm not complaining though, I'm thoroughly enjoying this experience.
  23. These fan mockups make the controller look much better.
  24. I got this part confused with Final Fantasy 6. Once I actually got materia in FFVII Remake I remembered it correctly. FF6 had permanent learning per character. In FF7 it's only the materia that gets leveled up to unlock more abilities, but once the materia hit max level it'll spawn a new duplicate materia that is level 1 so you can level it up again for another character. So far I'm loving the game. The graphics are amazing and the voice acting is pretty much how I expected the characters to sound like. Combat is great. Every enemy has weaknesses that need to be exploited to speed up the combat. Like riot guys and those melee guys I forget their names, hit them with fire or swap to punisher mode, block and wait for them to attack to auto counter and follow up with a focused thrust to stagger them and finish them off. The first boss from the demo was way easier this time around because when it got to the heal phase I threw a grenade from my inventory at its left leg and instant destroyed it, swapped to barrett for a focused shot to the other leg to destroy it and the boss melted quick after that. It helped alot that I was using R3 to target the specific legs. It made the combat easier. And Cloud punisher mode is damn good damage but is definitely hindered by the lack of mobility which seems like a good balance. I got my cactuar summon off once. The summons only seem to kick in if a fight lasts too long. Then they just run around doing their own thing. I forgot to use an ATB charge to force an ability so the cactaur just ran around like a lunatic end only did 2 hp of damage until it ran out and did its 10,000 needle? Attack. Lol. That ? At the end is because it's a chance it could do that 10k damage. Lol. I think the odds of that happening are like winning the lotto.
  25. That's really cool how they're doing retro characters mixed in with the new game graphics. I like that.
