Humble Indie Bundle 9 (has Brutal Legend)

Myk JL

Six spectacular games to fill you with glee. Humble Indie Bundle 9 features six wondrous games. Pay what you want and get the visually brilliant magical action-puzzle platformer Trine 2: Complete Story; the sleek side-scrolling stealth game Mark of the Ninja; the deliciously delightful physics-based puzzler Eets Munchies; and the heavy metal action/adventure/RTS rocker Brütal Legend. If you pay over the average, you'll also receive the award-winning space strategy sim FTL: Faster Than Light and the critically acclaimed adorably detailed puzzle platformer FEZ.

If you missed out on Brutal Legend before or skipped it because it was in the above average donation its now back & part of the donation that at least requires $1 to get. As for me I already got this from a previous bundle so I don't need to get it again.

I paid the $1. Trine 2 and Brutal Legend for $1 is an amazing deal. I've heard good things about FTL, but I don't know if I'd enjoy it. The overhead view and gameplay style reminds me of Atom Zombie Smasher, even though the two games look noticeably different. AZS was fun for a while but then I lost interest because of the difficulty.

I broke down and bought it the minute I got the email saying Limbo was now part of it (I've been wanting the game for a long time). Honestly don't know why I waited so long the game is amazing. Also picked it up for FTL and Bastion, Brutal Legend is just a perk.

I already own Bastion because I bought it for $1 as a weekly deal, but I haven't had a chance to play it yet.. I've heard great things about it tho. LIMBO is a great game. Pretty quick, but fun. I recommend using an xbox 360 controller for PC, it played great for me. :D

When we launch PS4, it's $400 - versus PS3's $250, or $200 for the new 12GB model. It's half the price. The number of titles available for PS3, in the library, is huge, and especially those great games which were released a couple of years ago are now available at a much cheaper price. The whole cost of ownership, if you're a new game user, is way lower on PS3 compared to PS4.

This has been a busy summer. I'm almost looking forward to winter so I can get a break from all the lawn mowing and outside projects. Hopefully the snow blower I bought this year works good so I'll have alot of free time this winter to get caught up on things. When I've had free time I've been playing Final Fantasy X over the last 5 months and I've somehow finally hit 100 hours on it. Lol. Only took me about half a year.  I still didn't beat it yet but I'm at the end game stuff now with the monster arena and omega ruins.

I got back from Ohio last night. My mom had a Remembrance Party in honor of my dad this last weekend. It was a really nice time. I'm glad I got to see so many people that knew my dad and talk to them about how he was a positive and/or great influence in their lives. The party was a bbq party too. My younger brother smoked 30 pounds of pulled pork and 20 pounds of bbq beef. I helped with the process. It was a great time.

My neighbor next door is moving so he had a full house sale over the weekend. I lucked out and bought his snowblower for $150.  Its got some years of use on it, but hes kept it in amazing shape. A new gas one like this is around $800+. I hope it works great this next winter. It could save me all kinds of time shoveling.

My PC came with a free month of Game Pass Ultimate. I decided to check out what I can play for free and found out how garbage the Xbox App for PC is. I downloaded Halo Infinite. The game wouldn't load. It would show the spartan insignia and then I'd just get a black screen. I never got to the title screen. Upon investigating this, its apparently a common issue. I tried all the "fixes" and uninstalled and re-installed the game twice. It never worked. So then I try to play The Ascent with a friend. The game worked fine solo, but we couldn't connection to each other. Again, I look it up and its once again.... a common issue. This time with no fix. We gave up and bought it on steam where it works without any issues. Needless to say, I'm cancelling Game Pass.
