  1. Well I picked up MGSV, DA: Inquistion, and the FFX/X-2 remake today at Walmart. $85 for all three games, not bad but now I need to find the time to sit down and play them all >.<

Considering the way I am I'll probably do every Side Ops in the game, I'm OCD about shit like that.

I bought the uncharted collection for $26 at newegg. :D and wolfenstein on psn. With my current back log I'm glad I didn't get mgs yet. Lol.

  2. Just got done trying out the Hawken release for PS4, gotta say its fun as hell. Still learning the game but I find it more enjoyable to play with a controller then I did with a mouse and keyboard in the PC Alpha release. Definitely going to be playing quite a bit of this going forward (just need to get 98,000 HC to get the sharpshooter mech).

I believe the download was 4.9 gigs, didn't get a chance to look at how much space it took installed.

Well I learned an important lesson today while playing, teamwork is a massive part of this game especially considering how mechs are set up (they must of dumbed the game down considerably from its original launch as there is no way to really customize mechs that I can see beyond appearance. I remember in the Alpha that we were able to customize weaponry but I don't see it on this version of the game (which sucks, some mechs are awesome but have shit weaponry)). I'm surprised how well a coordinated team can wipe the floor with the other team if they work together (and this is in Team Deathmatch, I haven't even tried the other game modes yet). One of my matches consisted of me getting the only kill and spending most of the match watching myself and my teammates getting destroyed left and right (I will say some of the death animations are hilarious). Of course this game also favors those who have unlocked the stronger, heavy mechs (Assault mechs just get the asses handed to them as they have no long range weaponry). I really can't wait to unlock the first sharpshooter mech so I can start wiping the floor with people (I was wrong it's only 9800 HC (I'm only 1300 away from it), the upgraded version is 25,000 HC).

If you do start playing I highly suggest doing the tutorial first (the first one, the other two if you want to get practice in but the game is pretty good at matching you with others around you're Pilot level). It does an excellent job of teaching you the controls and the basics of the game (it does, however, not teach you effective gun ranges as the mech you use is a Type-B (mid-range mech) with mid-long range weapons (like I said if you unlock the Assault mech you're in for a rude awakening as it's a CQB mech). I highly suggest reading the descriptions of the guns on the mechs you might want to unlock so you know their effective ranges and also pick up the free PS+ mech they have in the store, it's a Type-A mech (light weight) with seeker missiles for both weapons but only unlocks at rank 5 I believe).

Cool. I'm going to try it but I don't know how much time I'll put into it. I'm trying to get thru some of my backlog of games. I'll get a new graphics card soon (assuming I can buy one before they go out of stock) and once that happens I have a crap ton of pc games to play on max settings.

  3. With the amount of time PSN is "down for maintenance" I should of just stuck with Microsoft and bought a XBone, at least Live is up more then it's down. All I wanted to do was watch some god damn Netflix tonight but no someone is either DDoSing them again or they just suck at announcing maintenance times. /grumble

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I don't get is why the hell we should even have to connect to PSN to watch netflix at all. I blame the BF1 beta tho. We use netflix at least 5 days a week on Lady's account on our PS3 (she is set to autologin on that device for auto updates to the system) and the only time we've had PSN interrupt us in the past 4 years is whenever there is a large beta happening. I'm assuming its people that hate Sony / EA and are DDOSing PSN but PSN is saying "maintenance" my ass its maintenance. The same "maintenance" happened during the BF3 and Destiny betas too and I can guarantee it'll happen the week of BF1's release too. Get a roku stick when you see one on sale. I use my roku every day and netflix has only screwed up a couple times on me over the last almost 2 years and I fix it by resetting my router. The youtube app on my roku is horrible because of how laggy the menu navigation is but once it's playing a video its fine. Netflix however runs the same on my roku as it does on the PS3/PS4. No lag and great performance.

I have the equivilant of last years model of this one:

      https://www.amazon.com/Roku-3500R-Streaming-Stick/dp/B00INNP5VU

I got it for a christmas present from my parents. They bought it on sale for $25 at the time. I recommend a roku to everyone. Want to watch netflix on another tv? or visiting a friend that doesn't have netflix? This thing fits in your pocket. Plug it into any tv, setup the wifi connection and its all set. It plugs in the hdmi port and it comes with a power cord that you can either plug into the tv's usb port or use the power adapter it comes with. It periodically updates the apps and resets itself when not in use. I even have the time warner app on this and it acts like an extra cable box.

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

I might have to pick one of those up but I don't have an open HDMI port on my TV (it only has 3 and all are used (one for the retarded cable box, one for the PS4, and one for my 360 (which I guess I could unhook since I never use it))). If I wasn't so damn lazy I could turn on the 360 to watch Netflix but the damn thing feels like it takes 3 years to load the dashboard. I could also watch it on my phone or my laptop but meh, it's just so much nicer to lie down in bed and watch it on the TV. My main grumble is why are they increasing Plus prices when there network is shit compared to Live which can justify the price you pay for it (yea Live has it's own problems but Microsoft did a great job on it that the problems are few and far between). The other grumble is that it always goes down when I plan on doing something on my PS4 (like last week when I tried to catch up on Youtube vids and last night when I was actually going to get on Netflix for once) that doesn't revolve around gaming (and I agree apps like Netflix and Youtube shouldn't be tied to whether PSN is up or down).

Funny thing is everyone was blaming it on the BLOPS3 DLC going live yesterday (or the fact that it'd go down when a major DLC releases, I got a kick out of that).

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Thats why I like my roku stick. Theres no network to go down to prevent you from using it. And I figured out today that I can use my phone's youtube app as the controller for my roku's youtube app (I thought that only worked for consoles). God that made using youtube so much easier for me today. I can even setup a queue of videos to watch and just sit back and enjoy. I've used this thing almost every day for almost 2 years and the only time I have issues with netflix (1 time netflix went down for a few hours, over 2 years) or my time warner app (time warner's app connection has issues about 3 times a month), its because those services are having issues and not the roku stick. Get one of these sticks and unhook the xbox and you wont regret it. Theres numerous apps that can be installed on it too. I have amazon prime, so I use the amazon video app on it and stream movies too.

  4. Started playing Journey today. Have no idea whats really going on (I understand for the most part but without any talking or narrations it's all pretty much how you take what you're shown in the cutscenes) but the art style is nice, the puzzle mechanics are pretty interesting, the ability to meet random people playing it is cool (even if you can't speak to each other), and the soundtrack is freaking amazing (probably the best part of the game so far for me). It's a rather relaxing game, can't wait to find time to sit down and actually finish it (I think I'm a third of the way through the game).

    1. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Yea, it pretty much is. All it really gives you is cutscenes and a few pictographs while you're traveling with a basic premise (I've read a plot synopsis from the developers so I know what they're trying to say through the game but it is pretty much up to your own thoughts on it). It's roughly a 2-3 hour playthrough by what I've read (if you only plan on playing it once, I'll probably play this multiple times just because the soundtrack is awesome and as I said it's a very relaxing game). Even though I haven't beaten it I fully understand why this game was so well received when it first came out.

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

So I beat it tonight after my curiosity got the best of me. I really do have to say this game is amazing and I plan on playing it through multiple times now that I've finally reached the end. It really is a deeply personal experience (evoking all sorts of feelings and thoughts, I honestly found it to be a greatly moving game to the point I had a tear in my eye when I reached the end) and while there is a plot there you really do make meaning for yourself while you play through the game. You get to meet a variety of people playing through the game (I played through with 6 different people in my one play through playing with the last person for the last half of the game) and though you can't talk (every character has a unique tone that you can use to get their attention but that's about all it's useful for) you still get a sense of camaraderie while you journey with them. The soundtrack, as I said is amazing, really does set a tone for each stage/level you progress to getting serious when it needs to and uplifting when it needs to. There are points where the game gets rather tense (I won't say what they are so you can surprise yourself as it's part of the experience) and points where it's downright goofy (meeting the cloth whale was probably the strangest thing I found in the game).

Overall this game deserves all the praise it's gotten and more. This game has more to it then most AAA titles on the market today and did so with a relatively small team and a simple idea. I can't stress enough how much everyone should give this game a try and while I admit it's not for everyone I'm sure even those who dislike it for what it is has something they found enjoyable about it. I really wish big name developers would look at these indie studios and take notes on what a game should be and not what they want it to be.

    3. Sledgstone

  5. Winter has finally attacked ND in full force. In just one day we've had 10 inches of snow and we're do for at least another 4-6 in my area alone before the end of Wednesday. It's lulled now but to be on the safe side I called into work today (thank god I have some vacation time to cover it) because driving home yesterday (I had to leave early because I did not want to drive in that shit at night) was a nightmare. Hopefully the DOT gets into full force today and gets the roads cleared and sanded so I can get to work tomorrow since this Charger hates ice and snow (my god the ass end of my car was sliding every which way yesterday no matter how slow I was going).

    1. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Mostly sand, they run a liquid ice melter (they use the dry shut too from time to time) as well but for the most part they sand the roads out here. I'm starting to wish I had snow tires but I just need to get used to how this car handles, my Buick used to do the same shut till I learned how to handle it in winter (got to spoiled by Arizona winters for those 3 years I was down there).

      XD

A friend of mine used to be an expert with driving in the snow and ice, he'd purposefully slide the car all over the place with control and it blew my mind. I could do it to an extent but then I discovered snow tires and realized I could drive almost like normal during the winter without having my knuckles turn bleach white from gripping the steering wheel in terror for an hour on the freeway in a snow storm. XD

  6. Finished Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans Season 2 last night. Gotta say it wasn't as good as the first season and it was kind of a let down story wise but the battles were freaking amazing (I am in love with Barbatos, that fucking machine is amazing). I think the title of "Kill them all" has finally been taken from Tomino, good god Nagai was kill happy (I honestly didn't think anyone was going to survive to see the end (yea, kind of a spoiler but not really as I didn't say who dies)). All in all a solid 7/10, definitely worth a watch if you looking for an action oriented show (not the best Gundam to come out but it definitely ranks up there as a damn good addition to the franchise as a whole).

Also started watching Grimgar tonight since DX had mentioned what he thought of it it awhile ago (and it's up on Crunchy so I don't have to watch those fansubs I got a hold of). Only 4 episodes in and I have to say that was one hell of a gut punch, not because of his death but because of the way the others took it. Fucking hit me right in the feels. I do have to say that I was right, it feels like a cross between Log Horizon (being sucked into another world) and SAO (death being permanent) without the whole being a game aspect (since it seems it's never actually confirmed/denied). Overall I'm enjoying it so far, looking forward to what the next 8 episodes have to offer.

    1. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Finished Grimgar tonight and I really enjoyed the ride. Great characters, good story, awesome soundtrack, and so many damn feels (god damn Mary's backstory is freaking tragic). I'd really like to see a 2nd season of this as I know there's more to the story (so much more from what I've gathered but I won't ruin it for everyone), so please give me one. Solid 9/10 for me and I can't recommend it enough (I think I liked this better then Seasons 1, 3 and 4 of SAO and both seasons of Log Horizon (I might be stretching a bit there, Log Horizon is a damn good show in its own right)). I just noticed last night that Funimation is releasing this in May on DVD/BD so I think I'll have to pick up the BD when it releases (definitely plan on re-watching this one, nice relaxing show that really hits you in the feels when you don't expect it).

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I didn't even know there were more than 2 seasons of SAO. XD

    3. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Considering the new thing now-a-days is to consider 13 episode a season I consider SAO to be be 4 13 episode seasons (split into their respective arcs of course) but technically it's two seasons. Should of probably said Arcs 1, 3, and 4 (10 hour work days turns my brain into jelly).

  7. Well I just ordered myself a new Gaming Computer today. Don't know if its a good thing or not yet considering how much money I just dropped ($2100) but with my laptop having GPU issues I figured it was time to bite the bullet. Went through CyberpowerPC as everything I hear about them and their PC's are great (a streamer I follow uses them as well) and I don't have the time to build my own at the moment (god damn 50+ hour work weeks).

Here's to hoping the thing is worth the money (should be, I picked a mid-specced pre-built and changed a few things around (GPU (changed from a stock GTX 1070 to an EVGA GTX 1070), Cooling, OS Drive (changed to a 500 Gig SSD), and Storage Drive (added a 2 TB HDD) were the only real things I changed. And yes I researched everything before I chose them).

    1. DeathscytheX
    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

It'll have LED lights, whether I use them or not will be another thing (I'm not into the lighted case thing, my Alienware lights up but it's just a gimmick). The monitor I chose is an older ASUS model, https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236174&cm_re=VS247H-P-_-24-236-174-_-Product

It's gotten pretty favorable reviews and I went pretty cheap (it was on sale through CyberPower) since the tower ended up being a little more expensive then I wanted it to be (not much more but god damn SSD's are still expensive as hell). I plan on going with a two monitor set-up when I get a bigger desk (current desk is only big enough for the tower and monitor sadly) so I'll be shelling out quite a bit more money when I get my second one (this one will end up being the secondary monitor and making the new one my primary monitor).

Sadly I have to call them on Monday because it seems there was a problem processing the order (not sure what but I'm gathering its a verification for fraud prevention). Hopefully it won't delay it by too much, I need this thing before the 20th of June for Stormblood (yea, my life is pretty much run by work and FFXIV).

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Its good that it's VESA mountable since you're planning on a 2 monitor setup (vesa mounting capability does make them more expensive from what I've seen). I have 2 monitors right now, one for gaming and the other for work and neither can mount so I'm literally shuffling one monitor in front of the other depending on what I'm doing. Its a bit annoying but I'm used to it. Both monitors can sit side by side too if I wanted since my desk is big enough for it. For your main monitor I recommend getting an IPS one. Huge difference for gaming IMO. I won't go back to a regular monitor again now that I've gotten used to gaming on one. SSDs should definitely be cheaper by now. I'd love to upgrade my main pc with one but I'm a bit tight on funds now.

If you have any questions on using geforce experience software let me know. I've gotten the hang of it over the last year with taking videos and enhanced screenshots with it. With your new setup you can easily take video of all your games and upload them to youtube like I've been doing with Guild Wars 2:

      https://www.youtube.com/user/Sledgstone/videos

I setup my geforce software to be just like my PS4, I hit alt-f10 and it'll save the last 15 minutes of any game I'm playing. And windows live movie maker software works just like ps4's Sharefactory.

  8. Fucking hell that was a ride. Just finished watching Steins;Gate and I have to say its an amazing show. I finally understand why people love it so much. Characters are pretty interesting (pretty bland and stereotypical but none-the-less interesting), story is completely bonkers (we're talking Serial Experiments Lain and Boogiepop Phantom levels of bonkers) and amazing, and the sheer emotional ride this puts you through is both terrifying and exciting.

Sure it starts out pretty slow but once you get to the halfway mark it seriously starts moving at an intense pace. I normally don't praise anime this much but this is truly a great show, almost a masterpiece if I've ever seen one (probably one of the only shows I have rated at 10 on MAL that actually deserves the rating for all the right reasons, not just pure enjoyment). I highly recommend watching it if you haven't, it's definitely worth the time investment (and I'll admit it's not for everyone but if you want a show that tears your emotions to shreds and makes you think this is definitely one for you).

Seriously can't wait for Steins;Gate 0 to start airing on Thursday (really hope CR has the simulcast for it). Now I just need to find time to watch the movie and the OVA before it starts. Also need to hope the VN this is based off of goes on sale on Steam so I can see the actual story that wasn't adapted for the anime (and to see all the other endings).

    1. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

It eventually goes somewhere and that slow buildup doesn't really help it any in the beginning but its definitely worth slogging through those first few episodes to get to the good stuff (I won't lie I did almost drop it around episode 4 (Okabe's personality rubbed me the wrong way (as much as I find it funny it was infuriating)) but things start moving around that time and amp up at episode 12). The craziness doesn't ever really go away but it gets seriously toned down after shit starts hitting the fan (its really hard to sell this without leaking any of the plot, you'll just have to take my word for it).

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I finished it, and enjoyed it enough to watch 0 when Funi starts airing it on the 30th. It was all around depressing though as wild as it was past ep 12, all the way through the end. The OVA was a nice bright spot after all of that.

    3. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

0 is going to be a wild ride as well if the first episode is any indication so I'm really looking forward to whats to come. Besides FMP and Amanchu it's the only thing I'm excited to watch this season. Don't know if you were able to watch it (I don't know what Funi has posted, CR doesn't have the OVA/Movie/or the ep I'll talk about (had to dl all of them)) but you should see if you can watch the alternate version of episode 23 as it sets up 0 (nothing really different until the last 10 minutes) and will give you a good idea of where the story will be headed.

The movie is a fun little romp, not as good as the actual series but it ends the Steins;Gate perfect ending (which is what they adapted) nicely and takes place right after the OVA (don't know if Funi has it on their service, I know they have the license for it though).

  9. I have to say I've played many MMORPG's over the years from good to bad but I don't think I've ever played one that has consistently proceeded to exceed my expectations like FFXIV has and Shadowbringers has more than done so. I think this expansion ranks up there as probably one of my all time favorites RPG's in general and all time favorite FF game ever (yes beating out FFIX) that's how wonderful it is.

Yea I know, FFXIV fanboy praising his addiction but SE and the XIV team have really outdone themselves with this expansion. The story is phenomenal from start to finish with a very emotional plot, some of the best dungeon's I've ever had the pleasure of grinding through (with the exception of one), phenomenal boss fights (that final fight is amazing, I can't wait to see the Extreme mode of it), great character writing (even better than before, I'm more attached to these NPC's then I ever was before), and an amazing soundtrack (I refuse to listen to music while playing in 90% of the zones because I love it so much). Granted this is just the base Shadowbringers, there's still two years of patches to go through and my opinions might change later on (I mean we still don't have raid access and the Nier 24-man doesn't launch until Oct) but I don't think I've ever felt this complete and satisfied with a game expansion/dlc. Yoshida and his team really outdid themselves this time and I look forward to the next two years of content and the next expansion to come.

On another note I've learned that I can't do hardcore gaming hours anymore. After 3 days of 12-16 hour gaming sessions (Friday - Sunday) I'm really feeling my age (sad to say when I'm only 33). I've never been this physically and mentally exhausted in my life (and my job is both on a daily basis). Thank fucking god I'm on vacation this week to recover. Don't think I'll be doing this for the next expansion but is was totally worth it for the payoff we got in the end. Also thinking I should post updated pictures of my character since she's gone through some pretty drastic changes since the last time.

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I ended up starting out with Archer, purely for thigh highs XD. Nah, in reality I always play tank classes so I decided to go with something different. But I've barely put in any combat, mostly just running errands right now. I will say this game is fucking beautiful. I do like how the movement controls are like GW2. Sweet Christmas its rare to find an MMO that doesn't rely on an action camera or the mouse cursor to turn your character/camera rather than A/S/Q/E. I think Blade and Soul would induce my vertigo because I'd fidget the mouse while in combat making the camera sway back and forth.

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Archer is pretty fun to play, especially once it becomes Bard (it's a blast at 80 from what I hear which is great because Bard is my 4th favorite job to play after Samurai, Ninja, and Scholar (still need to level it to 80 though)). Lucky for you the trial goes until level 35 so you can unlock Bard and try it out (as well as any other class and job that's not locked behind an expansion (Dark, Astro, and Machinist are locked behind Heavensward. Samurai and Red Mage behing Stormblood. Dancer and Gunbreaker behind Shadowbringers)). I'll warn you though the ARR content is a rough grind through (it's fun in the early game but gets tedious as fuck once you clear the main story of ARR) and causes a lot of potential new players to quit due to the sheer content to go through.

Not going to lie with the tank changes they are so much more fun to play then they ever have been. Sadly you're stuck to Glad/Paladin and Mara/Warrior but both have their fun aspects if you want to try out a tank (I prefer Paladin since I like to solo old content but Warrior is a freaking beast in the right hands).

Hmm, must be your router settings then. I dl'd all of Shadowbringers in 20 minutes on a 6-12 mb dl (after I had to fuck with my setting because it kept killing itself, didn't stay constant). Then again you were downloading the entirety of ARR which is pretty fucking huge (Shadowbringers was only 7.5 gigs or so).

I honestly think you'll enjoy it once you start getting further along. Dungeons are a blast to play through and the story is pretty fucking good in ARR (not Shadowbringers good sadly but still good. Sadly a lot of the quests are rather repetitive but what quests aren't in an MMO). Plus the community is awesome and most people are always willing to help you out if you need it (don't know what server you're on but for the most part every server is full of helpful and friendly people).

    3. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I do like that there is kill credit for enemies someone else engages. Not quite like GW2 where you get full XP, but better than every other MMO outside of these two. Repetitive quests for me only get bad when you're fighting with someone else to kill things to complete it. XD I also have to get use to how armor works. I totally screwed by picking a hooded chest peice not knowing you can't wear head gear when its equipped. I regret it mostly because it looks like trash and I only picked it for its higher stats. But meh, It'll be replaced soon enough.

I dunno if it was my router settings. GW2 updates download at 10mbps. Anything outside of a launcher downloads at 60-100mph. Launchers have always downloaded way slower than my internet speed. I just figured it was launchers.

  10. They done went and did it like I was predicting,

Finally. I've been wanting to play this since I beat Automata and now we'll get to play a remaster. Was kinda hoping they'd remaster both games but I'm quite happy with one of them (as the story beats are only slightly different between Gestalt and Replicant). Now if only they'd give us a release date (better not be in September, that's Cyberpunk time x.x).

Not entirely sure what this will be about but we're also getting a smartphone game. Still haven't announced if it's getting a release over here or not but still cool to see we're getting more Nier titles to continue the fantastic lore of this universe.

Good god I didn't think it was a massive as it is. Freaking thing is taller than my PC's case. My poor Switch looks so tiny next to it.

I don't have that problem. Got so many PS4 games on the backlog that my PS5 will get plenty of use (until Endwalker comes out, then it'll just be a media machine for awhile). Sadly though there a very few PS5 games I'm currently interested in and since this blew my spending budget for the year I won't even be able to buy the PS5 games I even want.

My brother recently bought a m.2 ssd with a heatsink for his PS5. Set him back $200 with tax just to upgrade the PS5 with an extra 1 TB of space. I heard the PS4 games run great off an external hard drive tho.

I saw that the Gurren Lagaan team made this. Hows the fight scenes?

      Strider Hiryu

Fight scenes are quite awesome and over the top, plus Ryuuko fights in a scantily clad suit so a win-win. As Eppy said it is bananas.

  13. Honestly, I think the game I'm most hyped about from E3 atm is Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth. Call it the Strategy player in me but that game looks amazing

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Beyond earth!? Is it a civilization game that's focused on scifi? I'll have to check the trailer after work.

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Yea, it's Civilization in space. I never played it but the guy from Firaxis that GameSpot interviewed said its a lot like Sid Meier's Alpha Centari. Basically we get sent into space to colonize an alien planet. Plays a lot like Civ 5 from what I've seen but you get to fight Alien creatures and other human colonists (apparently there's 8 factions you get to choose from and you get to set up how your colony is seeded (what tech you bring, what people, etc.).

Luckily for me, the carmike theater that I have does "Stimulus Tuesday" where movies are $5 all day. Its about the only day I go see movies anymore. lol

Damn that's a steal. I only wish they did that here.

That movie does look pretty funny. I'm screwed with expensive movie theaters that are all a 30 min drive from my house. -_- There is a new one opening next spring 10 mins from my house tho. I'll be watching more movies then.

  15. So Knights of the Fallen Empire is pretty amazing. Gotta hand it to BioWare, they really outdid themselves with this expansion

      Sledgstone

Nice. I wish I had more time for another MMO. I'd be all over that.

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

I know that feeling. That's the reason you see me play GW2 so rarely. I play 3 MMO's already (TOR, STO, FFXIV) and I'm trying to get through the KoFE story by Tuesday so I can devote more time to STO since the new season (mini-expansion) goes live. Deals with the mirror-universe so it should be fun.

    3. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Damn job and everyday life getting in the way XD. I just recently pulled a WoW player over to GW2 with F2P, she was so reluctant, but now wants to buy the game. I'd def play more TOR if I had the time, I really enjoyed it.

  16. Rightstuff has Ronin Warriors on sale and I'm debating whether I should buy it or not. Gah, get a piece of my childhood back or let it slip by? X.x

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I bought my old Ronin Warriors DVD boxset over 5 years ago and never regretted it. The set I got was dual sided dvds. One side was the original japanese subbed version and the flipped side was the english dub edited version. That english version was my childhood. Its hard watching the japanese subbed since the character I always new as Anubis was actually the name of one of the other enemies. x_x

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Sadly this is the sub only release which is why I'm debating buying it or not as I've only seen the dub version (which is what I have fond memories of).

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Oh, damn. That dub version is the main reason I jumped on the boxset I have now. Its so heavily edited, it needed to be on its own dvds. Even the commercial breakaway clip in the dub is different.

  17. While I have yet to watch BvS all the way through (I skipped around just to see if it was as bad as many have said it is, I'll probably end up watching it all the way through this weekend) Affleck has my full endorsement to continue to play Batman until he's sick of it (not like my endorsement means much). His portrayal is by far the best one I've seen since Michael Keaton (I liked Christian Bale's portrayal but Affleck is just so much better) and I can't wait until they finally film and release the new Batman standalone film, it's going to be epic (and Affleck is directing it).

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

The movie wasn't as bad as everyone made it out to be. I saw an article today saying it was the lack of humor that gave the preception. Maybe so... but sometimes hero flicks get too carried away with humor like it's a Deadpool flick before Deadpool ever came out in which it worked perfect in. It was very serious and dark, and i guess thats a turn off to the masses. I remember reading that the original ending to Interstellar was Cooper going into the black hole and you didn't know if he ever made it back. It scored poorly within focus groups so they changed it.

This is off subject kinda, but I miss those types of films that take a bold chance like the end of Inception or the end of John Carpenter's The Thing (the 1982 one). Most moves are full of predictable tropes and clichés, but if you venture out of that zone, critics rip you apart.

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

From what little I gathered in my skipping about the movie actually does look good but I'll post my fully detailed thoughts on it once I actually watch it all the way through (though I will state I don't like Eisenberg as Luthor, that was a complete miscast in my opinion). I actually prefer serious and movies, even more so with heroes. I've never been a really big fan of superheroes because I never grew up reading comics and I rarely watched the cartoons (my superheroes as a child were the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Power Rangers (yea, I was a huge PR fan), and the Transformers) but what little I've gathered there wasn't a lot of humor in the comics and I'm happy this is the first real film to approach that aspect. The humor in Deadpool worked because it's Deadpool, an anti-hero that doesn't even take himself seriously. The humor also works in the Avengers because, while everything going on is generally serious, the timing of the jokes is just so well done to help break the tension.

I loved the ending to The Thing, that's one of my all time favorite movies. I wish more movies took chances like it did (I haven't seen Inception so I can't really comment on it but I do know how it ends and I think, given the whole premise of the movie, that was a perfect way to end it). Critics these days want to be entertained and not given a whole hell of a lot to think about, they want Michael Bay and JJ films (lots of explosions, lens flare, etc). Very rarely does a completely original film or a film that takes massive chances well received. I mean look at Chappie, it got shit reviews but I absolutely loved the movie. While it's not a completely original idea and sure the film has quite a few shortcomings but it's honestly one of the best movies I saw last year (and I didn't see it till I bought it and on BD none-the-less) because I actually liked the idea they were presenting and I loved watching Chappie grow throughout the film, going from being an infant to an adult persay (and it's a good look into how self-aware AI will most likely evolve when we reach that state). On the reverse of that look at Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The film took very little in the way of chances and recycled most of the plot from A New Hope yet it still receives critical appraise. Don't get me wrong it was a good movie but it took the safe route and mostly did well on it's name alone. This is why Hollywood is dying and they're too stupid to see it (it's also the reason why the Game Industry has been severely lacking in quality games over the years (and why it's slowly imploding in on itself) but that's for another discussion), completely original ideas and risk taking is frowned upon and no one dares take the chance to step out of the safe zone.

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I hated Eisenberg as Luthor. He was completely wrong for the role. It was like he was trying to be Heath Ledgers joker instead an extremely intelligent evil businessman. Idris Elba would have been a great Luthor. And the creation of Doomsday was horrible. They could have just made him come crashing into the atmosphere on an asteroid like in the comic and it would have worked much better.

  18. So the free Windows 10 upgrade disappears and I find out I have 102 updates for Windows 7. What the hell Microsoft? You don't tell me I had these upgrades when they went live and stick me with roughly an hour and a half download and install time. I feel like I was being punished because I didn't choose to upgrade X.x

    1. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Yea, substitute upgrades for updates. Apparently my mind is trying to sabotage me.

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I noticed the same issue on my laptop when I went to upgrade it. Turns out it stopped installing windows 7 updates on my laptop back in september of last year. -_-; Windows update refused to install anything for me last week including windows 10 and I had to manually install 3 specific windows updates just to fix the windows update software just to upgrade to win 10. I was able to bypass those 97 windows 7 updates tho and go straight into win 10. But that really aggravated me when I saw the amount of security upgrades my laptop was missing out on for over 7 months.

    3. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

      Heh, the sad thing is when I got up this morning I see I have even more updates -_-;

  19. Two years after I bought it I finally started watching Tekkaman Blade. 16 episodes in and by god am I loving every minute of it (even if it is a bit campy). Great soundtrack, ok characters (hey not all anime has great characters), and a plot that's actually pretty good (if not recycled from other similar shows from the time).

Also makes me miss the old days when anime was hand animated and we didn't have all this CG shit mixed in. Sure the art wasn't always great but damn the shows were still good. Also makes me miss when anime actually had good plot and stories, not this same recycled bullshit we get every year.

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

It wasn't always great, but when it was, it was amazing. If something is CG'ish I can bear with it sometimes... what I hate is the hybrid animation/CG. Its very off putting. I've seen a few mecha series where only the mechas were CG and everything else was animated. It just doesn't fit.

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Yea, for some reason it just never seems to work out in mech anime (which seems to use it more than any other genre now-a-days). The mechs either look extremely fake or complete crap (which sucks because a lot of mechs look great in CG). Sadly there has been such a huge push toward hybrid CG/Traditional animation lately that it's been ruining most of the new shows coming out now (hell this has been the first year where I'm not actively watching anything currently airing in Japan since I was first introduced to fansubs (2004, so the first time in 13 years) because almost all the shows are either crappy rehashes of the same plots or hybrid shows with shitty CG).

This is one reason I'm happy companies like Right Stuf (through their Nozomi Entertainment branch) and Discotek have been acquiring the rights to and releasing old school anime over here. So many good shows get overlooked by the bigger companies like Funi that it's sad (mostly due to dated animation and fear of not having a market over here (something Right Stuf has proven to be wrong in the last few years with releases like Dirty Pair and finally bringing all of Gundam over in it's entirety)). Now if only we could get a company to bring over the whole Macross catalog, I'd be one happy anime fan if that happened (ADV and Manga Ent. started to but never got past the original Macross, Macross Plus, and Macross II (which has absolutely nothing to do with the main Macross story). Getting a stateside release of Macross 7 would be amazing).

    3. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Just finished Tekkaman Blade, gotta say this ranks up there as one of my all time favorites now. While quite a few portions of the show could of been cut (a lot of filler in this show that could of been recapped in like 4 episodes and they could of ditched the 2 recap eps) the last few episodes were epic. Definitely glad I bought this two years ago on a whim (I've seen Tekkaman Blade II (which, while entertaining, ruins so much of what the first series did and accomplished it's sad) which piqued my interest in seeing the original) when it was on sale at RightStuf. I definitely recommend seeing it if you get a chance to.

  20. Red Mage and now Samurai are confirmed as the two jobs for the upcoming FFXIV expansion Stormblood. I am completely hyped about this now and Samurai is going to be a DPS this time around (Sam was a tank in FFXI), god I can't wait. Finally a job I've been wanting since the game released (besides Ninja which I already play as). The only bad thing is I'm torn about which one I want to level first.

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

XD So now you have to work on a whole new set of fancy weapons?

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

XD Only if I hate myself and wish for no free time what so ever (I mean if I really wanted to I could work on the Anima weapons for my Scholar, Summoner, Dragoon (which I might, I mean I have a little over 4 months before Stormblood releases and that lance is sexy as hell), Monk, Bard, Machinist, and White Mage but I don't feel like selling the rest of my soul to FFXIV atm (and sadly that's not all the jobs in game atm those are just the ones I have at 60 (I'm missing Paladin, Warrior, Dark Knight, and Astrologian)).

Chances are pretty high I'll end up continuing to main Ninja so I'll only have to worry about one weapon but with the changes they're making to the relic system in Stormblood I might not even attempt to get one (they're linking it with an new optional area called Eureka The Forbidden Land (FFV anyone?) and if it's like they're talking I'll probably skip the relic this time around, I'm not hip on their exploratory areas and it sounds like they're going to make this one even more difficult to get). However if Samurai is everything I want it to be I might switch mains over and get myself a super sexy Katana relic or if it's not and Red Mage is better then I guess I'll be getting a sexy as hell Rapier. God I hate it when I get two things I really want and don't know which one to choose first x.x I almost wish they'd of released a job I have no interest in so I could focus on the other one. Damn you SE *shakes fist*

  21. So the new computer finally arrived and boy is it beautiful (and bigger then I thought, thing is huge). I'm now not looking forward to installing everything I need on it to get it up to snuff like my laptop is (so much to do). Sadly I won't be playing FFXIV tonight because it's going to take 3+ hours to download and install all the updates (not to mention Heavensward which I opted to dl instead of digging my disk out of the closet).

I'll take pictures of it tomorrow and post them, to tired to do it right now as I spent the last two hours digging it out of the box and setting it up.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Congrats! :D I don't know about FFXIV folder structure but I was able to copy over my guild wars 2 install directory from one hard drive to another using a USB 3 flash drive and got the game up and running in minutes instead of downloading for over 2 hours. If you have windows 10 one that make sure you set it to get that creators update to install before the newest graphics drivers. I heard a few ppl had issues installing the latest nvidia drivers on win 10 that didn't have that update done yet.

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Eh, I didn't think of copying the files over (not like I don't have enough external storage to do so). A fresh install is for the best though as FFXIV had some issues on my laptop and I'm afraid they might of transferred with (plus I'm less than a week from early access for Stormblood so a fresh install is probably for the best). Plus the folder structure is a nightmare (the main game is under Program files but everything else is under a folder in My Documents (fucking weird if you ask me, WoW had a similar set up to GW2 so I'm used to that).

I'll have to look into the creators update since I was forced into Windows 10 (I got the Professional version and I actually like it more than the Home version, I'm still going to have to customize it more to my liking either tomorrow or Sunday because some of these UI elements bug the hell out of me), haven't really had time to update Win 10 or the graphics drivers yet.

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Win 10 has a tendency of forcing updates on you so expect them to happen anytime. 😑 you can set windows update active hours so you won't get random update notifications or reset prompts during hours you would be gaming. Also make sure to check your privacy settings and turning off all pointless background apps. Click on the little cortana circle in the task bar (Or the search icon if you have stock win 10 prior to even the anniversary update) and type the word setting or privacy. It'll give you all the system settings in the results so you don't have to search thru the control panel for an hour.

  22. Finally got around to watching Black Mirror since, you know, I'm bored because I can't work (and as much as I try I just can't bring myself to play anything game wise outside of FFXIV and a little bit of Destiny (I'm stuck at 267 and have no urge to do the Exotic quests and I really don't want to level another character right now)).

Gotta say this is definitely one of my favorite shows now. Really love how they're stand alone episodes that have no interconnection with each other (well they seem to all take place in the same year and same world (based on little hints I picked up in various episodes) but they're completely separate stories of their own). Some of the episode are really fucked up (the last episode of season 3, while not fucked up, is pretty fucking dark and has given rise to a new fear for me (saying what it is will ruin it if you haven't seen it), still one of my favorite episodes though) and some are really well thought out and emotional (the San Junipero episode is really fucking good).

All around it's a great fucking series (better be it's British, yeah I have a thing for British television) and I highly recommend it. Figured I'd start Stranger Things this weekend since it sounds like I'll be out of work for another week (according to my surgeon's nurse when I talked to her on the phone, I'll find out more tomorrow) and be ready for when season 2 airs in Oct.

I haven't watched Black Mirror yet, but I will at some point since you recommended it. Stranger Things is amazing. Do you have amazon prime? If so watch Orphen Black. Its another british series and very well done. They have every season except the final one on amazon prime streaming (then again the final season might be on there now, I haven't checked in a while).

    3. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Yea, I'll be watching Stranger Things starting Sunday since I'm out of work until the 9th now. Nah, I don't have Amazon Prime ($100 a year is a lot to pay when I rarely order anything from Amazon (besides the occasional CD but I've gone almost completely digital with music so I buy mostly digital albums now), not to mention how many other subscriptions/services I pay for (subbed to two MMO's, subbed to two Twitch streamers, CR sub, Netflix sub, and a PSN sub)) but I've heard of Orphen Black. I'd really like to see it but tis the joy of everyone having their own fucking streaming service now instead of consolidating it in one place like it used to be (I really miss the days when Netflix was the only sub service).

I highly recommend Black Mirror though I suggest you don't binge watch it. If you really want to go ahead but I suggest enjoying the series and drawing it out as long as you can (it's only 13 episodes for 3 seasons with 6 more on the way sometime this year), give yourself time between episodes to dwell and think about the episode(s) watched and think about the message being said. I watched two episodes a day up until S3 when I did 3 eps a day (really wish I would of just watched 2 a day to draw it out longer). My only real complaint is how short the series is currently but then again I should be used to it based on how many British series I've watched. Really hoping they do a season 5 after 4 is finished.

  23. Finally got around to seeing Thor: Ragnarok (just finished in fact). Gotta say it was a really good movie, really enjoyed where they went with it and thought it was a downright blast.

Good amount of comedy (I thought it was a nice direction considering what we'll be getting in a little over a month), nice action sequences, and seeing Thor get the snot kicked out of him by Hulk was pretty damn funny. Was also nice to see Thor actually use his damn powers for once (the bridge fight was pretty fucking epic). If I didn't love the first Guardians as much as I do I'd say this would probably be my favorite Marvel movie (considering how much I hated the first two Thor movies that's pretty high praise from me).

  24. So after counting the cash and gift cards I got for my birthday in Oct and for Christmas I finally just broke down and ordered a Switch today all because I want the new Smash Brothers (damn you Nintendo, why do you do this to me. You know I have an obsession with SSB).

So yeah, I now get to start the journey of being a Switch owner (I just wish it didn't cost so much freaking money x.x).

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Smash is amazing. I beat World of Light two days ago. It took me around 34 hours. Quite impressive for a "campaign". It wasn't perfect, and there were a lot of things they could have improved on it to make it truly in depth and interesting. But for what it is, it's a blast for sure. If Kirby, Mario, Marth or Shiek isn't one of your best, you might be waiting a long time to unlock someone you love though. There is a cheese method, but I went with the legit route. At least the larger, heavier characters are worth plaything. They're quite nimble while keeping their power. Bowser was super clutch for me at times when I needed more damage per hit, and I've never liked playing as him. By the end of it I was flipping between my main Ness, Lucina, and Fox, with a sprinkle of Captain Falcon, Belmont, and Bowser.

Super Mario Odyssey and Breath of the Wild are fantastic games as well. I have a lot of smaller games like Mega Man 11 and the Blaster Master remastered. I typically save those for when I'm sitting at the repair shop waiting on maintenance. It may not be my most played console, but its def the most clutch console for boring situations.

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Good thing I was good with Marth in the Gamecube version (though that was years ago) though I was even better with Roy or Link (and I'm not to shabby with Kirby or Pikachu). I've seen quite a bit of the game through watching streamers and that's what made me want it (well that and my co-worker gushing about it). Can't wait until it gets here next week because this should provide me with plenty of shit to keep me busy until Ace Combat comes out (well Nier as well, I'm still nowhere near beating it yet).

I'm thinking once I get the money I'll be picking up Octopath Traveler (I'm a sucker for old school JRPG's) and I might pick up BotW (I'm not overly that interested in it since I've never been the biggest Zelda fan (the only Zelda game I've ever enjoyed was A Link to the the Past) but the open world aspect had me intrigued (and from what I've seen of it the story is phenomenal)). I'm pretty much getting it for those reasons as well, will be nice to have for road trips and the occasional visit to the mechanic instead of staying glued to my phone like I usually do.

    3. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

If you like Marth, Lucina is freaking amazing. I instantly fell in love with her when I tried her out after unlocking her. She has the same move set, but her sword does damage equally across the whole blade rather than the tip having the most power like Marth. To me it just feels better all around. The last one I played was Brawl, but not very much of it as I didn't really care for Wii and I never got a Wii U. That being said, a lot of the characters are brand new to me since I missed a lot of time. I logged endless hours on Melee, I'm sure you'll get your bearings quick once you jump in like I did. For the most part, all the classic characters feel exactly the same, except Gannondorf, they changed some of his moves slightly, I guess to make him less of a Captain Falcon heavy. They also got rid of a lot of cheese. Its much harder to back carry someone off the side and toss them with DK, or ledge drop and spit with Kirby.

I'm not an old school JRPG fan, but I almost did get Octopath, and then Ys: VIII caught my eye and I never looked back. The great thing about Octopath is it will be one of those games that lasts  the full 6 hours off battery.

  25. Since I'm on my weekend atm from the new job (after 6 days of hell, fuck this essential business shit people be crazy) I decided to watch the new Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 that was put up on Netflix last Thursday. Note that this is only half of what we're supposed to get so my opinions are only reflective of that and they may change come the release of the final 12 episodes. With that in mind lets begin.

As most of you know I'm a huge fan of the GitS franchise ever since I saw the first movie over 15 years ago and have since seen and read everything released since then with the exception of side stories never released in the US (and own all of that as well) so my opinions on this are coming from a long-time obsessive fan so please keep that in mind. Also I will refrain from divulging any spoilers as you'll probably watch this anyway when you get a chance (please note its in Japanese only with English subtitles due to the "rona").

Quite honestly I'm not entirely sure how I felt about this as a whole. On one end it's not bad I might go as far as saying it's pretty good for a cyberpunk show but this is not GitS and this is not SAC for me. Hell I never thought I'd say it but Arise is a lot better then this and I have way to many gripes about that show to even begin. At least Arise felt like a GitS show and story even if it was blandly done with some pretty bad writing (the Arise movie was grade A GitS though, I definitely suggest watching that).

My major gripe is they explain nothing of what happened in the 11 year time span between Solid State Society and this, nothing. They go over world developments and why things are the way they are but they in no way explain major plot elements behind why the Major and her crew are in the US (2045 starts out in the US, not a real big spoiler), they vaguely explain the main premise driving the plot forward from that point (a point that does not seem very GitS like to me), why certain characters are no longer seen or heard from (until later in the 12 eps), and just all around weirdness that is this post Solid State Society world. It's aggravating because the way things were left at the end of SSS you would of thought we'd be getting another procedural GitS season driven forward by strong character driven episodes and interesting plot lines, instead we're left with boring long winded arcs that get nowhere (and maybe 2 enjoyable episodes not part of the overall plot) and in the end we're left with a major cliff hanger at the end. It's aggravating honestly and it seems more like this season was made to pander more to western audiences with short attention spans instead of the original core fanbase (sorry, venting a little. I felt very betrayed by this). Like I said though if this was non-GitS related I'd say it was a good show if not a little pandering.

Music wise (yes I'm a huge fan of the SAC soundtrack, there's a reason I own all 4 soundtracks) I was utterly disappointed. Yoko Kanno is nowhere to be found here and it's extremely noticeable but it's to be expected as she's mostly retired from the industry. This left a sour taste in my mouth since, as I noted above, I'm a huge fan of the SAC soundtrack and it was one of the major reasons I enjoyed the first two seasons so much. Don't even get me started on the OP, not my cup of tea and certainly not something I'd associate with GitS (though I do like the ED).

Animation wise I can't stand the full CGI or the character redesigns. This felt way to much like I was watching cutscenes from a game 10 years ago. Not to say the CG isn't crisp or anything it's very well done and the fight scenes are a joy to watch. Sadly this isn't Pixar level CGI and it shows. Maybe I'm bitter because they went full CGI instead of the traditional/CG blend they did with SAC and 2nd Gig but I found this to be way more off putting than I thought it would be. Plus the Major's redesign makes her look like a 14 year old teenager and that's just not my jam (where's my hot, sophisticated badass woman?).

Thankfully the characters are the same and that was a joy to behold. Watching them interact with each other was extremely enjoyable and I'm happy to see they weren't changed one bit (this goes for the Tachikoma's as well so if you found them annoying they're still going to be annoying (I, personally, love the adorable little trouble makers)). The new characters are just as enjoyable and I just love Purin, she's beyond adorable with her little crush on Batou.

All in all like I said above I'm not entirely sure how I feel about the show. Part of me wants to destroy all the masters and make everyone forget this and the other part of me just thinks it's a below average GitS that just so happens to be somewhat enjoyable. Granted we're only 12 episodes in and my opinion might change once we get the last 12 episodes (did they ever announce when that'd be?) but those are my current thoughts on the show. If I had to give it a rating out of 10 it'd mostly likely be a 6 (which pains me to do considering how generous I was with Arise). Do I suggest watching it? Honestly that's for you to decide. I gave my honest thoughts so take them how you will though but if you are a major fan of the GitS franchise don't get your hopes up to much (then again maybe this is to your liking).

I didn't realize this was supposed to be a sequel to continue on the GitS series. I thought it was a standalone soft reboot or something? I guess the fact that theres a huge plot hole at the beginning not explaining why they're in the US might work out more for my benefit because I haven't watched any of the recent GitS shows or movies in years so I won't feel punished for not being current on everything. I really need to catch up, I just haven't gotten to it yet. x_x Maybe I'll try to watch this after I finally resume and finish Violet Evergarden. I recently finished a couple shows and now I'm backlogged on my youtube videos. lol. Thanks for the review! I'm not looking forward to the upscaled Playstation 1 animation or 14 year old looking Major though. XD

I'd go more like PS2 era animation then PS1. Like I said it's not overly bad but it's a definite negative for me considering how crisp the animation was in Stand Alone Complex and 2nd Gig. My major gripe with the CGI is the lack of texturing as everything just looks so god damn smooth and unrealistic.

As long as you have a passing understanding of the SAC universe you'll understand whats going on for the most part and how it connects to SAC/2nd Gig/SSS. Then again going in blind is probably the best way to enjoy this as I've seen most major fans of the franchise bashing 2045 (not overly harshly mind you, there's a few good eps in the first 12 but it starts out so bland and slow it's hard to keep interest beyond the first 2-3 eps). Most who have gone in blind only have minor complaints (animation, music, plot are the top three complaints I've seen).

Yea, the 14 year old looking Major is kinda hard to get used to. Especially considering the others actually look their age and somewhat resemble their original SAC designs. Granted the Major is known for having multiple bodies of various ages and genders so she might have gone with a younger looking one while in the US (she's pretty well known in the SAC universe in her normal body) but it's just so hard to get used to. Gah, give me her original SAC design.

Yes god dammit get Violet Evergarden finished man. I just finished watching it for the 4th time during my two weeks of unemployment. It's so fucking good and worth it for all the feels. I totally get the backlogged shit, I'm having a hard time keeping up with youtube and anime right now due to the new job as it's completely fucked my watching schedule of 3 years up.

Sounds good. I'll watch it after Violet Evergarden. I can't remember if Netflix has other GitS anime I haven't seen yet. I should check. lol. I'm only on ep 3 of Violet Evergarden, I think I'll start it over from the beginning since it was like 4 months ago when I last saw an episode.
