The new "Light" theme is up! As of this post, all the old themes have been removed and the "Perfect Dark" theme has been renamed to just plain "Dark" because I am done with the different variations I was testing out. The light theme has a few issues with it at the moment, but it will be getting an update in about a week. Enjoy!

The story looks sorta weak with heavy over the top action. Yup its an Arnold flick!

You definitely picked the most difficult FPS on anything (not couting Arma) to be your first console shooter. LOL.

I dont really worry about my KD in bf3. Mine is below 1.00 as well. But I never die 50 times unless get as many kills within +/-10 of it. My suicidal tendencies with c4 is what drags my k/d down.  I take tank/apc kills personally at times and require swift vengeance. It works faster than rockets, and its hard to get people to team up and all shoot rockets at a tank. I blow myself up with it because 9 times out of 10 when I run away after tossing the C4 on the target, I get shot while running away. I take no chances. Sometimes my sacrifice is rewarded with 2-3 kills if there is more than one unlucky sole in the vehicle.

I don't mind the level 100s, I like taking their dog tags, on xbox they are mostly snipers.

The second game was a different story that took place five years after the first. The story was far less epic, and the endings were lackluster. The most enjoyment I got out of it was meeting up with NPC's from the previous game. They also added an interesting element to where decisions you made hoping to help or hurt someone didn't always turn out how you intended. (For instance, you give a beggar money, and as he turns the corner and gets mugged because your deed was seen by an opportunist).

While some of the game play elements were cool, the story and the overall feel just wasn't there. This is because BioWare the maker of the 1st game handed the project over to Obsidian. The only other notable game Obsidian has made outside of Neverwinter Nights is Fallout: New Vegas. Its possible that all these cut out parts were due to a lack of time, trying to do too much at once and missing budget, or they planned the common practice of charging for "expansions" that are already locked on the disc... and never got around to it.

For me the first one tugged at me emotionally, I felt a connection with all my NPCs, and even NPCs that were a part of side quests at times. That was severely lacking for me in KOTOR 2. I'd go as far as saying KOTOR 1 is the best Star Wars Story there is.

    It looks good.

Medusa's/Euryale's Gaze was one of the funnest weapons to play with for me. I always maxed it out. You'd be surprised how many strong enemies could be instant stoned and then shattered using that thing in the latter parts of the game.

btw, have you seen the video from E3 2012? It shows a lot of good footage of the single player mode from when it was still in production:

I liked the Barbarian Hammer from God War 2. After it was leveled up, I'd spam soul summons. But it still wasn't as powerful as his main blades.

Nah, Could be a little inspiration. Since God of War, just about every type of game in this genera has stolen from the series. The single player needed a nice revamp before it got stale. In previous games the weapons outside the Blades of Chaos couldn't compare... Sword of Zeus was kinda cool, but the Blades were just so much better. It looks to me that you'll just have a secondary that you've stolen and you can interchange them out as you see fit when you encounter certain enemies who's weapon you like. Or maybe instead of 3 fixed secondary weapons you find throughout the game, you'll just have 3 slots to interchange giving you a variety of weapons. This would be my preferred method. There is always that one weapon you don't want to give up for another, and this would allow you to keep it while experimenting with others without regretting swapping them out. It would also conform with the button layout of the previous games.

Has anyone gotten into the multiplayer beta?

Also, is it just me or does it sound like the single player game is stealing some aspects from 'Prince of Persia: Warrior Within'?

I just started using the M27, and after throwing the fore grip and fast mag on it, I'm pretty pleased. It definitely turns into a killing machine... Once I get FMJ's I'll probably ditch the fast mag, but I'll end up using primary gunfighter when I get extended mag so I can use all 3. I'm shying away from any optics... for some reason I tend to ball out with iron sights in Treyarch CODs. I hate being EMP grenaded and the dot goes down on my sight.

FYI, like I texted you yesterday the heat maps are in Elite, but I think the webpage elite is the best. I havent really checked the console app, but the webpage lets you view a animated layout of the map as you're kills progress during the match. Just go to a recent match and hit "View Heat Map"

There are plenty of videos of game play, but I cant find the one I originally saw a few months back. Some of the game play gets intense with what seemed to be endless Xenomorphs pouring out the walls, plus a massive one that's bigger than the queen. I think I'll end up getting it.

You haven't watched Falling Skies?!!!!!!!! Its probably one of the best damn Sci-Fi series out there even though the first two seasons are like 8-10 episodes. I think TNT is being overly cautious that no one wants to watch a sci-fi series... or maybe Spielberg doesn't have time to make more than that for a season. The end of last season had an epic cliffhanger. I cant wait for Season 3.

I just looked it up. Season 3 is 10 episodes as well... I'm still looking forward to it tough. lol

That would require a huge cultural change for the entire world. I don't see it happening in our lifetimes. I would say that the internet has been good in terms of spreading a more global equality rights movement and a more openness to anti-violence, but at the same time most of the social networking sites out there are full of flaming assholes. I swear negativity and asshole commentary has spread throughout the entire internet. So many hatemongers and trolls. Every site has comments and replies or facebook pages for every thing they do and not a single moderator or admin to stop the aggressive assholes from ruining a story. Even most youtube videos I look at have asshole comments. Anyway, seeing as assholeism keeps spreading, then I could see how some people could come to a conclusion of regulating guns and ammunition. Mostly because its easier to make a law to try and restrict weapons than to try and actually improve society to the point where those weapons won't be needed for human on human violence.

On a side note, I have a theory about the glorification of guns in American society. The US does not draft into the military. The main reason they don't do any drafting is because we have plenty of citizens that are willing to fight and die for our country and join the army, navy, marines, air force and coast guard and for that I am grateful. The problem we really have in the US is our education system. Our education system sucks. Its almost as if our education system is setup to purposefully fail for a large percentage of people. And don't get me wrong when I say this because I'm sure our armed forces have quite a few intelligent people, but there are a lot of people that join the army, etc, because of education, money and career problems. When I was going to high school, the army recruiter guy was there.. almost all the time. I could get in contact with an army recruiter easier than talking to a councilor. We could call this a government conspiracy, but it might be. As long as the higher ups keep a certain percentage of citizens in a lower class and lower educated state of mind, then they will have plenty of recruits for the army. There have been countless war movies, video games depicting war heroes, etc. Some could say that is also part of it. The game America's Army was made specifically to encourage our youth into joining the army. With our poor education and crappy career prospects, army recruiters in the high schools will tell you how you can get a larger private salary by getting your friends to enlist with you and how the army will pay for your college degree.

With all of that in place, most US citizens have the right to bear arms trained into them from an early age. Even if you have never shown any interest in joining the army, many of us have been conditioned towards firearms in some way. I think its pretty ridiculous for our society to glorify guns and then want to restrict their ownership. I myself don't feel the need to own a gun. Even though I don't feel the need to own one for defense, I would like to own one anyway. I've been target shooting and its fun. I can understand why people would want a ban on assault rifles, but at the same time there are a crap ton of ex-army people that would love to own versions of the assault rifles they grew to love while serving our country. Putting all this gun violence off as a means to regulate and restrict firearms seems mostly political to me. There are so many guns out there now that restricting them at this point will not stop anyone that wants to get a gun and killing people from doing so. The only thing it will do is restrict the mass population just to try and stop the few psychos that are out there that do go on a killing spree. But those people are psychos regardless if they have guns or not. If not guns, they'll make a homebrew of mustard gas and throw a bunch of cannisters into a high school sporting event and lock the gymnasium doors. What would government do then, restrict bleach purchases? No.. the problem are the psychos. And honestly, if we had a better education system, maybe these people wouldn't turn into psychos, or if they were then maybe they could be identified at an early age for specialty classes to help them with any issues.
