Any store in NY that sells groceries was considered essential and never shut down. Dollar stores have grocery sections so they had the same weak restrictions as walmart. Our area is in phase 4 reopening but they didn't allow movie theaters or the malls to open yet at the last minute. We've had no hot spots and just about every business around here is now open back up in some capacity. We did have a lowes employee test positive last Sunday so everyone that shopped there should self monitor, but everyone is wearing masks so its not spreading. I gotta say, masks are working here and is helping prevent the spread. Everyone got used to wearing them and nobody even comments about them anymore. Some people don't like the masks, others wear them wrong. Some businesses are not enforcing it for outside lines when they should be and some people will give you a mean look like they'll beat your ass in the parking lot for not having one on. Other businesses straight up enforce it and tell people to leave the store if they don't have one on. Other stores will give you a free disposable one. But enough of the population is wearing them to be very beneficial and continue the reopening. I'm honestly surprised there wasn't a federal order for everyone to wear masks, if that was done covid could have been completely under control in the entire country least a month or 2 ago.

Wow. We're entering a phase 4 reopening this week. Movie theaters, etc. Will be opening back up. We still have the mask order in place. Mostly we have to keep them on at all times in grocery stores, etc. But outside of businesses we only need them on when closer than 6 feet from somebody. You can walk down the street with no mask on, but if you are going to walk past someone, slip that mask on. I've also seen plenty of cashiers have them off until a customer gets close, then they'll slip them on. Mostly in smaller businesses, gas stations and hardware stores.

Restaurants here have indoor and outdoor seating but the tables have to be 6 feet apart and there's no enforcement of masks on staff working in restaurant kitchens. I guess it's because it's so hot. Everyone seated to eat don't wear masks but when you get up to enter or leave you have to wear them. It sounds dumb, but apparently all the rules must be working because we're not getting any spikes in cases here.

Right at the end showing 2 rebel and empire squadrons.. I'm guessing a multiplayer game. I was never good at flying, especially in battlefront 2. 😵

That was a much better video, but I'd like to see a HUD, mini map, etc. I'm guessing they'll make this multiplayer only like Destiny and Anthem. It's the best way for them to sell microtransaction armor and weapon skins if everyone can show off to other players how much they can whale. This is a game I'd never buy first without seeing some solid reviews about it.

What a weird premise for a game. Since there's no actual game play footage I have no idea if this is something I'd play or not. It could be nice and relaxing tho which would be nice.

Square Enix... props to them for making a new IP, but honestly if they'd have surprised everyone with a Chrono Trigger remake instead, made in the same style of FF7 remake, I'd go get a second job just make sure I'd have the money to buy that game and a PS5 at launch.

Wow. Now that looks unique. Very beautiful scenery and environmental effects. I wonder what else all those little dust ball spirit things can do.

I still haven't beaten the last one. the variety of potential levels to play and a possible new playable character reveal at the end looks very promising. With all the different dimensions and time setting I bet there's going to be some crazy weapons to collect.

I was disappointed to. I want to play that spiderman game but i never bought it because I kept seeing rumors that'll it'll be on ps+. Maybe next month.

It looks creepy. I never played Resident Evil 7 so I don't know if this is a sequel to that or a standalone game.

That music does not match that trailer at all. the combat looks good but I'm getting a Destiny vibe from this game.. like instead of a shooter it's a fantasy hack and slash.

Spiderman into the spider verse was a good movie. Miles getting a game should be a fun experience.

I'd definitely go for a digital only.. but if that disk drive is a 4k bluray player I'd rather get that since I still don't own a 4k bluray player yet.

I want this game.  I loved the combat in the first one.

This looks like it'll be so stupid and funny.

So the whole narrative change was the fact that this is some type of alternate timeline of FF7 as the Whispers are there to keep continuity and you defeat them. The writers gave themselves a free pass to do things completely different from here on out. I'm sure that will piss off a lot of people. As Jim Sterling pointed out, it's probably most likely to keep Aerith from dying like she did in the original. Maybe they still kill her off but it seems they want to keep that whole love triangle aspect going strong. Apparently there was a whole shipper war over it with a team Tifa and team Aerith. The white materia dropping from when she died appeared briefly in the whisper battle, a long with what I guess was the final scene of the original game with Red XIII headed towards the overgrown Midgar.

To me, I like this. This is how remakes should be made. Instead of just upscaled graphics the whole thing should be overhauled into a new experience that keeps the spirit of the original. I hope they mostly stick with the original story and events and are only using this "broke free from the chains of fate" to make minor tweaks to the story. But as hilarious as it sounds, Sephiroth could basically the equivalent of the evil leaper from Quantum Leap. Aerith said the planet and whispers ignored him. I dunno if he's really a Jenova apparition anymore, but a lot of the original story was still alluded to with the whole Zack scene. The whole thing is crazy.

 

I beat the game and I loved it. It was everything I wanted it to be. Only a few boss fights aggravated me with difficulty, Hell House.. one of the bosses near the end. Not necessarily that those particular bosses were difficult, just way too long. I think maybe I just wasn't grasping the correct way to stagger them or I wasted a limit break move at the wrong time. But the final boss fight was epic. It was down to the wire thinking I could lose right at the very end because my guy's started getting wrecked, but damn what a fight.  I hope the next game comes out within a year, but then again.. this one alone was worth the wait. I didn't see any progress save to the next game kind of wording anywhere so I'm guessing the next game will start everyone off with all the characters at specific levels with specific materia and items in the inventory so its not like starting the game over from scratch. And with the bosses and enemies still unseen from the original game that are far stronger than what we've seen so far from the remake so far, it'll be easy to keep the leveling up going.

This is how a remake should be. I've played the original game at least 2-5 times all the way through, I know it plenty.. If I wanted to play it again I would, but this remake is better. The plot is more defined, the characters are far more flushed out, the character models are all beautiful and the VA talent is top notch. This was amazing. I hope they do deviate from the plot of the original more for the sequels because what they've done so far has made me love this game even more.

The whole love triangle with Cloud, Tifa and Aerith should be hitting its peak in the next game. They should be going to the Gold Saucer like in the original, and depending on your choices when you talk to all the characters during the first so many hours of gameplay it creates a branch determining who Cloud has his date with.  In the original there was a way to be a dick to everyone and end up having what I called a "bro date" with Barret.  It was hilarious, Barret had a blast.  I think there was a way to have a date with anyone on the team at the time, including Yuffie.

Everyone on SSI got the $1200 and it doesn't count towards the $2000 limit. My family members got it to and didn't have to fill out any paperwork for it. They just got the follow up letter photocopy signed by Trump as a confirmation of the deposit. And it does not count as income or earned income for taxes either.

The looting is some bullshit. Protest and some rioting in the region where it happened ok i can understand that. but robbing target stores and other businesses and burning random places for the hell of it in random parts of the country is just theft and vandalism. Alot of people are using the situation as an excuse to go steal crap and it's not helping the cause. But I will say I blame the f*cked up cops and the judicial system in place that keeps letting them get off the hook. That cop did murder that guy. He was kneeling on his neck arteries until he died and he should be charged with murder. The more stuff like that goes unpunished or "he was fired with paid leave" the more this kind of reaction will happen. All the cops have stun guns now. If someone isn't cooperative they can stun them and the probes stay in them and the cop can stun them again to restrain them again, etc.

I have personally talked with alot of cops over the years in NY, none recently thankfully, state, local and county cops. Out of all the ones I've had to talk to I don't trust a single one.

On another note, we hit phase 2 of reopening the economy here. All the barber shops, hair salons etc. Are all open again. Pretty much every business is open again I think except for restaurants, movie theaters and other entertainment avenues.

Oh crap now I'm feeling some hype.

Youtube recommended this video to me for some reason.. and next thing I know I watched 3 of them in a row. Turns out theres a couple channels for this guy. wtf. The guy builds all these mini houses with a stick and all of them have a water feature of some kind, usually a small pool.  Whatever country he lives in seems to have ground that is very sandy, at least in the region he does his builds. Some of the comments in the videos are hilarious. "this guy has more houses than the Kardashians"

Much better than the free games for May. I do recommend playing the Battlefront 2 campaign. It was enjoyable. Make sure to get the free campaign DLC to finish it. I can't remember if it auto downloads with the game at this point or if you have to manually tell it to download from the menu. Its basically an epilogue mission at the end that ties in to the events of one of the movies.

And I've been told the Call of Duty WWII campaign was good. I'll have to try that after I get caught up on GW2.

Jim makes alot of great points. Every console hype and new game release hype is almost always full of lies and BS just to generate more hype and pre-orders. I hope the PS5 will be amazing, but I'm not going to be in a rush for buying one.

Damn so I guess those rumors of Konami selling Silent Hill and Castlevania to Sony was all nothing.  At least there will be a potentially new Silent Hill game.. but lets see if Konami can actually still make a decent game or not.

Grievous and Dooku were amazing villains in clone wars... but like you said... watch them in episode 1 and it's like, wtf, why are they so weak. Grievous especially had some amazing fights in clone wars, but in episode 1 when he's fighting Kenobi it seems so slow paced.
