  1. The alternator on my car died yesterday. x_x I'm getting quotes today to see how much to get it fixed. fml. I still have an exhaust issue with the car to but the two places I've gotten quotes from of course don't want to patch the hole, they will only replace my entire exhaust system. wtf.

I'm going to get another Toyota corolla. This one will be a 2022 model and cost a little over $21,000.

good choice. 👍 my brother’s toyota corolla 1999 lasted me until 2013 without any major probs. my current toyota yaris 2013 is ok but back when i was purchasing it, a car salesman warned me that its a hybrid so it would be hard to get parts if it needed. over the years, getting a new tire was a pain bc it took 2 weeks to order it. but now with all these shortages idk. i do have some old spare tires in my garage though..patched up after hitting nails and stuff like that.

My 2010 Toyota Corolla has been very reliable and has lasted me 11 years now. It's definitely showing its age now and it's been having a few issues. The only major problem my car had was 4 years ago when the cars computer screwed up and started messing up the idle and thermostat. Ended up being $1,000 to fix at the time but aside from that I've only had to do regular maintenance and brakes. The yaris is a nice ride but they stopped making them in 2020.

  2. I want to play this sequel so bad. I need to see how it all unfolds. They did so amazing with the plot with that last game. I'm wondering if they're going to do some BS thing at the beginning of the game like they did with all other God of War sequels... Some event happens that causes Kratos to loose the majority of his powers, yada yada yada. Watch them do it again but this time it'll be Freya doing it to him with some kind of curse or magic that locks away a huge chunk of his abilities.
  3. It looks good, but graphically speaking I don't see any significant improvements over the last game to make it a PS5 exclusive instead of being released cross-gen. That PS4 game had amazing graphics and this does look about the same. I'd buy this game asap when it comes out if I had a PS5 to play it on.
  4. This game is easily as massive as Final Fantasy VII. Seeing as the FFVII Remake barely made it out of Midgar in the first game and the Midgar portion of it was only the first hour or so, I'm guessing it'll be 5 games of KOTOR Remake before we make it off of Taris.
  5. Its the same developer that did the recent Spider-Man games. It could be really good.

  7. I still haven't watched the second or third movies in their entirety. I got confused at one point and watched part of the third movie years after seeing the first movie and then part of the second a few months after that and lost most of my interest in the franchise because they didn't name the movies Matrix 2 and Matrix 3. I'll watch them in order now that a new one is coming out.
  8. Ehh. Overcooked looks like the best game out this.
  9. I'm still surprised Biden hasn't died of old age yet. Any other job in America a 70+ year old would be unfit for almost every job, but the USA keeps electing them as presidents. wtf. This withdrawal was a failure and that is on Biden. It should have been done better. I still think the Taliban were already there like in that Captain America winter soldier movie. The US was training "afghans" for 20 years, but the majority of them must have been Talaban because as soon as the Taliban start attacking, the afghans put up no real fight and welcomed them back in with open arms. It was all done in a few days because they were basically already in power to begin with and just had to finalize it. And look at all the weapons and vehicles we left behind, wtf: https://www.npr.org/2021/08/21/1029449432/taliban-afghanistan-us-weapons-captured We did need to get out of there because it will never end. The people of the middle east are drastically different to our society due to their strict religious beliefs and enforcement of those religious laws. We would never change their way of thinking and enforcement of those beliefs just like we could never possibly eliminate religious zealots in our own country. The USA doesn't need to be controlling another country, we were funneling crazy amounts of money and resources there that could have been spent on our own infrastructure instead of theirs. Edit: added this part. I still don't like how in the USA we have politians that want to enforce their religious beliefs into our laws. It sets a precedent. Islam is a faster growing religion that Christianity. We could some day have Islam communities rise to political power in the US and start enforcing parts of their islam laws like how some predominantly Christian states have their own specific laws like "lottery is illegal." Or like how some counties in the US are "dry counties" and the sale of alcohol is banned because those things are seen as sins.
  10. My dad got his third shot of Moderna yesterday. Since he has basically no immune system due to all the chemotherapy he has had over the last year with his battle against cancer, a single asymptomatic nurse carrying covid-19 could easily pass it to him and get him killed. The vaccines are experimental but they've been out for 8 months now and getting approval from third parties and FDA approval. After the third shot hes only got a sore arm and he'll be starting radiation treatments soon. All the hospitals he goes to have all their staff vaccinated mostly because they all deal with immuno-compromised patients like himself. Those hospitals could get sued to all hell if a patient contracts covid and dies while in their care. Thats all in ohio. From what hes told me about half the state isn't vaccinated and they're getting like 3-5k new cases a day lately. One of my brothers and his wife and their kids are all vaccinated, but my other brother and their family fully believe the vaccine will kill them all. Now that brother is the one that has had multiple surgeries and nearly died multiple times while on the operating table. I told him to talk to his doctor and see if he qualifies for a medical exception before his employer says the vaccine is a requirement. CNY seems to have all their hospital staff vaccinated but I have seen some nurses and hospital staff oppose the vaccines while alot of others approve of them. Out of every doctor and dentist I've talked to have all recommended the vaccines. I only know of 1 doctor that doesn't recommend it and hes not someone I go to.. but hes also the same doctor that sells medical marijuana cards and tells people to not get flu vaccines and talks about the healing power of taking fish oil and omega 3 pills. And he gets all those vaccines himself because its required of medical professionals in the state. They're safe for him, but not for his patients. Almost as if he wants his patients to get sick because when they do get sick, who will they go and see? Him. lol. Its all about the money. Its like a dentist telling kids to eat candy and drink alot of soda to ensure he has clients for years. I dunno whats going on with alot of other states and I try not to watch any "news channels" anymore. From what I've seen from my google news feed it sounds like alot of the anti-vaccine and anti-mask orders from governors isn't really about vaccines but more about the over reach of government to enforce things like vaccine passports for non FDA approved vaccines and masks. I can understand not having a precedent set that allows big government to enforce its objectives on people, but it seems a bit self defeating when the hospital system is all for profit and they can enforce their own rules to their staff on their private property regardless of public opinion. If we ever get a more dangerous disease, like some Ebola flesh eating variant that spreads from breathing, the precedent is being set now in some states that any new vaccines to prevent it or wearing a mask are being banned and if that Ebola happens, people will walk around with their faces all bubbling up from disease and then complaining that the government isn't doing anything. It got me thinking about vaccine mandates. Every school I've ever been to required everyone to have vaccines to attend. Like mumps, measels, vaccines, etc. The school nurse had a card for every student showing what vaccines we had. I just googled mandatory vaccines 1990 NY and I saw this article: https://www.suny.edu/sunypp/documents.cfm?doc_id=55 We've had vaccine mandates for years now and almost any kid going to any public school has already had a crap ton of vaccines. I'm guessing once the covid vacccines are FDA approved they'll no longer be considered experimental. At that point I'm guessing it'll get added to the list of mandated vaccines for kids attending school once they hit a specific age. Although, I'm sure once these shots all get FDA approval, that will still be bad because it happened in Biden's administration. Even after FDA approval I guarantee my one brother and their family still wont trust it at all.
  11. I forgot to watch the episode from last Sunday. I have it on my DVR and I'll watch it tonight or tomorrow. TWD is mostly boring to me now. I want to see it through to the end but they keep trying to raise tension somehow by putting characters in scenarios we know they'll survive and they're always one bad script away from devolving the show into Z-Nation with new zombie types to keep things interesting. Fear the Walking dead was the worst of all with that. I still remember back in season 1 or 2 when the druggies figured out how to smoke zombie brains like meth. wtf. They hired a new show runner after that and that plot line was never mentioned again. TWD the world beyond is dumb and every character should have already died.. and the last article I read about the Rick Grimes trilogy of movies that was announced 3 years ago says that as of just last month they still haven't started filming, but its worse than that since they still haven't even finalized a script. Its been 3 years and this still don't have the script.. I think its too late for those movies. By the time they make them it'll be another 3 years from now and I highly doubt the fan base will still be there for it.
  12. They delayed Dune so many times it now won't come out until the end of October. I'm still thinking it'll get delayed again because they'll want to push it outside of the 2021 free streaming with HBO max deal. If it does still get released this year, I will stream it that very first day it gets released.
  13. LMAO! Since they'll be having all the Spider-mans from the previous Reboots, this is hilarious. The emo peter parker and his dance in that movie did not age well at all. Spider-Man: Into the spider verse was an amazing movie.
  14. I suppose I'm conditioned to expect reboots with origin stories after all these years of endless reboots. I forgot about the 2001 He-Man. I googled it and watched a quick clip on youtube. It looks so familiar to me but I don't remember it at all. I remember the last reboot of a childhood cartoon that looked great to me was Thundercats 2011. I'm guessing the anime style of it at the time really hooked me tho.
  15. I watched this a few months ago and it was pretty good. I liked the fantasy aspect of it while they still had some technology like guns and trains. The CGI was very well done too. Season 2 is being made but I don't think they announced any release date yet.

  18. Thats cool. I've seen some of those guys doing the beverage drop offs. Those trucks have some nice lifts to lower the cases down to make moving everything easier.
  19. Very interesting. Spider-man, Doctor Strange and the multiverse. This should be a fun movie.
  20. Congrats on the new job! Will you be doing beverage drop offs to stores or bulk transfers from a canning facility to a distribution center?
  21. Mosquitos here have been a bastard the last 3 weeks! Ravenous assholes that don't even care that I have deep woods off sprayed all over my body and citronella candles are burning everywhere. I even sprayed some cutter bug killing spray onto part of my yard and those bastards keep coming for every time I walk outside. x_x Its times like this that I don't mind winter because it kills every last one of them.

Damn that's got to suck. I bought some cutter bug spray today to see if that's more effective than the deep woods off.

^ did you notice your avatar is missing? O_o

yeah it does. one time during hot ass day one of store customers asked my ex coworker why i wear clothes like its winter and he told the customer i was covered in tattoo and was trying to hide it lolol 😂

maybe theres a hidden puddle of water they are breeding near your house that you missed. hope you get them. they use to lay eggs on window washing dispenser/bucket thing at work and they were crawling/swimming with mosquito worms..really nasty. couldnt spot them until i got like 1 feet close, i thought they were just hair and dirt at first.

Thanks for mentioning my avatar.. It still loads on my browser, but when I clicked on it in my profile it was busted. wtf. I think I got it fixed now. lmao @ the tatoos. XD

I think because we had so much rain there are small pools of water everywhere now. I'm guessing theres thousands of random little tiny cm size pools of water hidden in the mulch in our flower beds. I think the news guy said it was the third wettest July in history here. x_x

  22. It was a fun movie. Pretty much on par with DC animated movies in terms of the movie being focused on the character abilities, combat and their crazy behaviors and metal instabilities. I enjoyed it. And lmao, I did not realize King Shark was played by Sylvester Stallone until after I watched the movie. He nailed the character as good as Vin Diesel did Groot.
  23. August free games seems like a bad joke.
  24. Lucasfilm/Disney hired this guy! https://www.theverge.com/2021/7/26/22595227/star-wars-lucasfilm-mandalorian-rogue-one-hire-deepfake-shamook And here is 2 quotes from one of his youtube video comments: Maybe with a combo of the de-aging CG along with a layering of deepfakes and then CG'ing better lighting and shadows back onto the deepfakes they'll get their CG characters looking a hell of alot more realistic.
  25. This trailer looked so bad ass... and then the show was a hot pile of garbage. I know origin stories have been done to death for alot of Marvel and DC properties. Everyone knows Batman and Superman's origins, but for older properties I expect some sort of backstory or origin of some kind. When Netflix rebooted Voltron it was amazingly well done. There was a full back story for all the characters that was new and refreshing, the galaxy and science was explained well, alien planets were explored and all sentient life forms had planets they came from, alien galactic powers explained, space travel, the impact of the alien invasion on Earth and in the end the scale of the universe and Voltron saving all of existence was amazing. They took an old 80s cartoon meant for selling toys into the an epic story.... And then we get He-Man. I was expecting that same level of quality. Instead we get the same cheesy cartoon from the 80s with updated animation, a couple dumb plot twists and a show that focuses entirely on the results of He-Man getting his ass kicked. And there is no back story or origins or any kind of information about these characters at all. Its a 40 year old cartoon that never had the same popularity as Batman or Superman, entire generations have never even seen a single episode of the old He-Man, and this show assumes you've seen it all and don't need any kind of refresher. This series should have been a full on reboot, but instead its 5 episodes of wasted time. Castle Grayskull could have looked epic, but they literally left its design looking just like the old cartoon... and then said it's look was all an illusion anyway because its this crystal looking palace or some crap. wtf. Theres an orb in the castle that powers all magic in the universe and must be defended at all costs, but there is no garrison stationed there, only 1 sorceress. wtf. There is advanced technology, but everyone wears loin cloths.. there are aliens living on the planet, but its never referenced if they all came from other planets to visit the main planet at the center of the universe or if everyone is just living there. And somehow a mostly naked guy with a sword can be "master of the universe" because he has a power sword, but compared to other properties like Star Trek or Star Wars or even Voltron, any of the major powers from those properties could just one shot He-Man from space like he was a flea. and they try to say that one sword ensures that the entire universe stays alive. Ok. And He-Man is barely in these 5 episodes. Here is 1 sentence explaining why: And because of that, the entire 5 episodes focuses on Teela is the focal point of the entire series. And after episode 1 she immediately gets a butch hair cut and is traveling around everywhere with her "partner". They never did any woke lesbian love crap and didn't imply they were a couple. And holy crap that magical girl transformation scene. Omg that was so bad. One thing this show had going for it was the voice actors. Top quality voices from alot of celebrities. Although if I closed my eyes Mark Hamill sounded a bit more like the Joker instead of Skeletor but Mark Hamill has done that evil Joker voice for so many years its easy to identify him now.
