  1. I'm looking forward to seeing what Battlefield 4 will be like on PC compared to consoles. It'll probably be a very similar game and console players will finally get large player count battles. At least until BF5 comes out when PC's will once again be ahead of the consoles.
  2. After watching these trailers, none of them are really screaming realism to me. Killzone and Deep Down looks good, but this Watch Dogs trailer looks very impressive. And heres a couple BioShock Infinite trailers: The gameplay of BioShock looks good, but Watch Dogs looks like a new ultimate version of open world gameplay. The detail in it puts grand theft auto and saints row to shame. But I don't understand the game.. maybe because it was just for the trailer, because a completely open game with no objectives seems too open for me. I think I'd rather have some noticeable objective to accomplish than creating a unique game on the fly.
  3. This is a list of the new game trailers that Sony has announced to arrive on the PS4. . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9UmHm9HA3c And of course, Destiny: Click here to view the article

  5. I've got about 8 games and dlc purchased thru PSN. If I'd be able to stream play old PS3 games, I wonder if I'd be able to play BF3 on the PS4 without having to repurchase the game and BF3 premium. It'd be quite bullshit if they expect me to repurchase games I've already bought just to access them on a different console. At least with PC I can keep all my games. I think the PS4 is trying to separate itself from PC gaming by having a weird controller, game streaming, ustreaming, social, etc. I have no interest is connecting any console into a facebook account and I have no interest in using my real name for everything. x_x Imagine if Steam used game streaming. Think about the catalog of games the millions of people own. Every one of those games must be downloaded and installed to play. Imagine if any of the hundred games in your steam library required no game download and instead you could just click and play while Steam's servers do all the work. That Playstation Cloud must be one hell of a beastly setup, because I really don't see how it can be feasible to stream massive game libraries like that on demand. I'm guessing they have it all figured out tho or they wouldn't be offering it. I feel bad for those poor bastards in the cities that have capped internet downloads. With PS4, unlimited internet usage and good high speed internet is a must.
  6. Did Sony mention anything about accessing the PS3 accounts on PS4? One thing I found interesting is that Diablo III and Destiny will both be lauched for PS3 and PS4. Its pretty surprising that these games are being made for both systems. I wonder if they will both come out for the Xbox 360 and Xbox 720 as well.
  7. I don't like how they are ripping off the Wii U with the ability to play all the PS4 games on the PS Vita. And even though they emphasized how game developers will be able to take advantage of multiple platforms to incorporate their game design into (PS4, cell phone application, Social, internet, PS Vita, etc.) I don't really see many game developers putting too many features into this except for probably the social part. If you thought getting game invites on facebook were bad when it was only zynga games, now imagine all the game requests from your PS4 buddies.
  8. Its a mousepad / touchpad. I thought it was going to be some kind of touch screen. The new specs for the PS4 look good, but many of the new features don't really appeal to me except for the ustreaming. Being able to stream my games so others can watch sounds like it will be easy to show off some gameplay. But if its anything like the Call of Duty Black ops 2 streaming, my upload rate is too slow to even allow streaming, so that seems like a pointless feature for me unless I pay for better internet.
  9. I'm still up in the air about which console to dedicate myself to. I might end up waiting a while, maybe even a year to get a new console. I'm actually more interested in getting a new gaming computer more than a console at this point. Come'on steam box! We'll probably go with just one console.. I'm leaning more towards xbox at this point, but it all depends on prices, games, features, etc. Its like I'm a swing voter and election is coming up.
  10. I hope the lower end PS4 will only be missing out on extra hard drive space and extra peripheral. Looks like Playstation will have its own version of xbox live now.
  11. Jeri Ryan is Sonya Blade. I know I must have seen that clip before but I barely remember it. Thanks for refreshing my mind.
  12. Thats how it was for me.. with kids and a constant job you loose track of the time. Before I knew it, 10 years have passed by.

    Destiny

I don't think they'll stop supporting the old system's online networks until probably a year after they stop manufacturing them. And considering the PS2 was discontinued only a month or so ago, then these systems should still be good for at least another 5+ years of online play, maybe more.
  14. That looks amazing. I've never heard of this before. I need to watch the first season now.

    Destiny

I remember that. lol. I still bought it for the gamecube even though the better version was on the Wii. It looks like Destiny will not be coming out this year regardless of Amazon's listed December 31, 2013 release date. And it will be coming out for all consoles, this gen and next: http://www.gamespot.com/news/bungies-destiny-not-coming-out-in-2013-says-activision-6404060 So instead of any backwards compatibility, it seems that there will be versions sold just for the next gen. Now this makes me wonder if there will be 4 dedicated server networks, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox 720 or if all xbox platforms will access the xbox networked servers and same with the playstation. This is that same issue that we've mentioned in other topics.. There should be cross platforming designed into these games, especially if its from the same console manufacturers. It could be the case that they upgrade the game for the newer consoles, but even with better graphics, the game could technically access the same game servers as the older console, except have a better interface.
  16. I love it when I have a team mate uses Orbital VSAT. That is one of the most useful streaks. I've only seen the K9 unit once and it seemed to last the entire match. I kept seeing a random dog running around. I noticed it is one of the highest kill streaks, do those dogs ever stop killing once they're unleashed?
  17. I haven't seen a blockbuster in over 2 years. Movies on demand and netflix completely ran them out of business. If the consoles start running online digital game sales like Steam does, then gamestop will have no future. I stopped buying PC games at gamestop for $59 when I found out steam eventually has those same games for 50% or 75% off during sales. Imagine if the consoles did that. I doubt even walmart would keep most of their games stocked at that point.

    Destiny

Very good points. It'll be interesting to see what happens with the E3 announcements this year. Seeing as Destiny already has a pre-order page up for the current gen systems on amazon, they'd probably piss off quite a few people to push the game into the next gen systems. Dust 514 has been in the works for quite a while for PS3 and has only recently been released (I think its still in full open beta?) and it is supposed to be a long term game interconnected with their EVE Online PC game. It makes me wonder if some of these games that are being developed for the current gen are going to be playable on the next gen systems via backwards compatibility.
  19. http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/25062.html I haven't been in the gamestop near me in over a year. I usually do all my game shopping online. Looks like thats a trend thats leading to store closures. With the new consoles coming out later this year and with digital downloads gaining in popularity, I think its only a matter of time before Gamestop will have to change their market strategy or be forced to close more stores.
  20. *replies to a 4 year old topic* http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/25056.html Dwayne Johnson Off 'Lobo'
  21. Ok.. That sounds about right. Thats usually what I end up getting to. In terms of frequency.. I seem to always either get UAV/CUAV, Lightning Strike, Guardian/Sentry Gun and the occasional Death Machine/War Machine. I've never seen anything stronger tho.
  22. This is an email I received from Sprint. I can only assume all major cell phone providers have a similar policy in place at this time. As for me, I don't want Sprint tracking my usage.. even if it is supposed to be anonymous. Its one thing to track usage to determine problems with their network but there is no reason to track what websites I am browsing. To change these settings in Sprint, you have to log in, click on my preferences and then click "Manage mobile advertising and reporting preferences" then change the settings for each phone in your account. Oh, and make sure you use Internet Explorer because even though the rest of the site works fine in Firefox, this one particular link will only load in Internet Explorer. wtf.
