  1. My water heater had a seizure. Made some weird sounds and made my lights go crazy in the house earlier. Wtf I can't catch a break. I took a 2 hour lunch break and drained the tank out. Im hoping it removed sediment and it'll work ok. I'm testing it tonight. I'm waiting on a handyman guy to text me back about when he can look at it. Fml.

Seeing that you posted pics of a shit ton of snow, taking cold ass showers doesnt sound ideal.

Yeah, no cold showers for me. Worse comes to worse, I'd boil a couple pots of water, fill up a sink and use a wash cloth. Thankfully tho, the water heater seems to be working again. I am so glad for youtube instructional videos people upload. I'd have been screwed without them yet again yesterday. I'm guessing I had sediment build up touching a heating element. I flushed the tank and it seems to be working normally again. *knocks on wood* Although I felt like I had a heart attack when I lost all water in my house. Turns out draining the tank caused a drop in pressure in the lines because I left a release valve open when I turned the cold water back on.. I had no water for 30 minutes while I searched youtube for how to restart my well pump. Turns out it was a pressure valve I had to prime. Yet another save by youtube uploaders. Back in the day I'd have had no water for 1-2 days while waiting for a plumber to come, and pay them $300.. instead I watched a bunch of youtube videos and found out I only needed to hold a small metal bar the size of an allen wrench while pressure built back up in the regulator for about 1 minute and the water was working perfectly normal again.

I will say this.. I am so f*cking glad I didn't buy a "fixer upper" house. This house was in a great shape when I bought it but all the little things can be extremely overwhelming. No way in hell I'd have ever kept my sanity with a house that needed ass tons of repairs.
