300: Rise of an Empire - Official Trailer 2 [HD]

Sledgstone

Based on Frank Miller's latest graphic novel Xerxes, and told in the breathtaking visual style of the blockbuster "300," this new chapter of the epic saga takes the action to a fresh battlefield—on the sea—as Greek general Themistokles attempts to unite all of Greece by leading the charge that will change the course of the war.

"300: Rise of an Empire" pits Themistokles against the massive invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes, and Artemesia, vengeful commander of the Persian navy.

There is a bit too much slow motion effect, but otherwise I'm looking forward to watching this.

Looks dumber and a lot more boring than 300 which really doesn't matter. 300 is just an obnoxious piece of over-hyped turd which is 30/ 40 minutes long stretched to whatever length it is because of a director who feels the audience is too dumb to follow fight sequences or afraid that the audience might miss seeing a Spartan kick someone into a hole/ well and feeling the need to put everything in slow motion. Imagine a 20 minute porn-sequence in slow motion, dragged to a length of 80/ 90 minutes. Doesn't do it for me.

MASSIVE difference between 300 and ... The Shining, Apocalypse Now, The Shawshank Redemption, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Minority Report, War Of The Worlds (Spielberg), The Exorcist, Thin Red Line, Tree Of Life, Road To Perdition, Chinatown, Platoon, Raiders Of The Lost Arc, Blade Runner, The Godfather, Alien, Drive, Forrest Gump and a whole bunch more  :victory:

2001: A Space odyssey? That was on the level of Star Trek the Motion Picture. lol All special effects. Not much substance. 2010 was pretty decent though. I'll give you the rest of those.

300 was still awesome. :P The slow motion sequences were pretty cool. Its better than the latest cop-out taken in fight scenes that includes super closes ups and shaky cameras to where you cant see wtf is really going on, you can only hear sound effects of punches and grunts.

I was hoping it was a prequel instead of a sequel. Who's fighting for them? Everyone who was dismissed in the last that wasn't a warrior?

I thought this was going to be a prequel also.. I don't see how this movie will have much of a plot seeing as it will probably one long 2-3 hour war. :D

Remember at the end of 300? There are 10,000 spartans and 30,000 greeks ready to battle the persian army. It should be an epic battle.

Edited my post. Every sentence is laughable, you have no clue what you're talking about. But hey, that's your opinion.

This has been a busy summer. I'm almost looking forward to winter so I can get a break from all the lawn mowing and outside projects. Hopefully the snow blower I bought this year works good so I'll have alot of free time this winter to get caught up on things. When I've had free time I've been playing Final Fantasy X over the last 5 months and I've somehow finally hit 100 hours on it. Lol. Only took me about half a year.  I still didn't beat it yet but I'm at the end game stuff now with the monster arena and omega ruins.

I got back from Ohio last night. My mom had a Remembrance Party in honor of my dad this last weekend. It was a really nice time. I'm glad I got to see so many people that knew my dad and talk to them about how he was a positive and/or great influence in their lives. The party was a bbq party too. My younger brother smoked 30 pounds of pulled pork and 20 pounds of bbq beef. I helped with the process. It was a great time.

My neighbor next door is moving so he had a full house sale over the weekend. I lucked out and bought his snowblower for $150.  Its got some years of use on it, but hes kept it in amazing shape. A new gas one like this is around $800+. I hope it works great this next winter. It could save me all kinds of time shoveling.

My PC came with a free month of Game Pass Ultimate. I decided to check out what I can play for free and found out how garbage the Xbox App for PC is. I downloaded Halo Infinite. The game wouldn't load. It would show the spartan insignia and then I'd just get a black screen. I never got to the title screen. Upon investigating this, its apparently a common issue. I tried all the "fixes" and uninstalled and re-installed the game twice. It never worked. So then I try to play The Ascent with a friend. The game worked fine solo, but we couldn't connection to each other. Again, I look it up and its once again.... a common issue. This time with no fix. We gave up and bought it on steam where it works without any issues. Needless to say, I'm cancelling Game Pass.
