That's all kinds of interesting to me. I love how that video really showed the difference. It's crazy to think how fast warp 9.9 is. The Voyager series covered everything about trans warp, warp 10 and quantum slipstream. I actually watched it recently and remember some of it off hand. Basically going warp 10 equals infinite mass and infinite speed. They actually went to warp 10 in a very odd episode with their delta flyer shuttle. The end result was the pilot Tom Perry kinda had a glimpse into omnipresence. He could see everything everywhere and go anywhere he wanted. He recalled events and places on earth, every place of space between them and earth, and pretty much everything else. The ship sensor logs literally filled all its storage with data. The event was to much for his body to handle and he ended up mutating thru an advanced evolution that somehow turned him into a salamander looking dumb thing oon the end. At first it looked like an evolution thing but it really just fried his DNA imo.
Trans warp was Borg tech and they had specifically made trans warp corridors that existed in a different plane of subspace or something like that. They wouldn't do instant travel between the locations but it was pretty damn quick compared to warp 9.9. Voyager used some trans warp conduits and shaved 30+ years off their warp 9.9 average travel to earth. Voyager also developed a slip stream drive and shaved decades off their trip to. Slip stream worked like trans warp but wasn't as fast. It was like they were making a trans warp conduit on the fly. They couldn't stabilize the engine tho and shelved it for star fleet to do research on. In the season finale they showed the Borg trans warp conduit hub. It was a way station connecting all their conduits. I think the massive structure was built into a huge black hole / gravitational mass anomaly thing of some kind. I can't remember what it was but damn it was gigantic compared to the actual conduit hub structure.

They probably never fully developed the technology at the time or they were never able to (I'm not that well read on old school ST lore, I'm pretty knowledgeable about everything past TNG and Enterprise era). I know one of the biggest things that came out of Voyager was them stealing Transwarp technology from the Borg to try and make their trip home a lot quicker (if I remember correctly they did but never fully integrated it into their warp drive, they shaved a couple of years off their travel time before it gave out if I remember correctly). All I know is that tech has seen a significant advance in STO (shit we have Quantum Slipstream drives now (which enables the Transwarp ability on the space map, normal transwarp is instantaneous between transwarp gates)), mostly due to the Iconian threat and the intervention of time travelers (yea, the Temporal Time War is mentioned and we do get to fight the Xindi as well. Hell my Science Officer is flying a ship from the future and she's from Kirk's era (yea I know, bonkers)). I just find it funny that our ships are more powerful then ever before (yea this is a game so I understand that aspect) yet warp travel is still stuck at 9.97 (though I do remember them explaining why this is in Voyager I just don't remember the specifics, this is the reason they turned to transwarp).

Damn, that's interesting. I'd like to point out that Star Trek Online, that takes place 40 years after the events of Nemesis (and is canon in the old timeline), warp speeds still max out at 9.97 no matter what (unless you have access to Transwarp which will put you at roughly warp 24 (Vice Admiral and above ability), which is sad considering how much more advanced Starfleet is 40 years later (and we have access to technologies from the Borg (where we got Transwarp) and the Iconians). I've got one of the most powerful ships in Starfleet and yet I can only go warp 9.97).

I just cant take Aquaman seriously no matter how hard they try. They should have rebooted Green Lantern with Idris Elba as John Stewart for this instead.

I saw this movie today & liked it.
    ....
Which makes me feels bad because I'm gullible & never saw the original.

I have all 3 classes in the 290s. Titan just doesn't do it for me on this game. The Hammer of Sol is a cool subclass, but the other two feel like crap. I like Hunter better, but they really should just give it 3 types of triple jump becasue PvE just requires big jumps everywhere. I feel like most these subclasses were made for PvP. Arc Strider is practically useless against a lot of foes on PvE, they all run away and then your shit runs out. Same goes for most of Titan's stuff.
I've noticed all my hardcore friends stopped playing, they never have beaten the raid. I guess getting tokens to buy raid stuff really turned them off or something. This game is a lot more casual friendly.. the powerful gear isn't locked behind raids and nightfalls. Its all RnG and weekly resets. It works for me. I think the raid could use a bit better rewards... but not playing because the best gear is locked behind a weekly reset is a bit of an asinine excuse. Nothing was enjoyable about that. I have all but 3 exotic weapons in my collection, the armor is a bit harder to come by.
I'm still playing so its doing something right.

I didn't preorder from Gamestop because at the time I tried to preorder alongside Skyrim for the Switch they weren't getting Snes Classics.
    What honestly happened was
I stayed up all night playing ESO Tried to get to sleep Remembered it was the 29th Looked on Amazon and found nothing but scalpers. Checked my e-mail for an Amazon notification that wasn't there. Saw this article while looking at my Gamespot e-mail. Left my apartment at about 8:24 AM thinking I was going to be late. Waited outside with 13 other people who were also there for there own Snes Classic. Found out Gamestop doesn't open until 10AM, There wasn't a midnight launch for Snes Classic and there were 24 available. I think the only Modern Controller complaint I forgot was it doesn't have an on button. Woe is I for I have to lean forward to use the power & reset buttons.

So I've watched all of it and I think its an awesome show, but not the greatest thing ever.
Tyrion, The Hound, and Bronn are my favorite characters.
The one thing that irks me about this show is how every act of good turns into some type of folly that cascades into a next conflict. I mean they practically handed the Night King a dragon at the end. Cersei is way too predictable, as if she'd really agree to help in the war against the dead. I wish Jaime would put a sword through her and be done with it. Now we have an upcoming conflict between Snow and Dany about who is the rightful heir. With their unknowingly Jaime/Cersei type deal going, you'd think they'd just be cool with it, but nah its going to be another conflict. Seems like there is too much to resolve in the final season and we might get unanswered questions or rushed resolutions. I hope not, but we'll see.

I can't believe I got my Snes Classic from Gamestop yesterday. Then again I can't believe I asked Amazon to notify me when Snes Classic would be available. And Amazon never notified me. Probably proving I missed out on the preorder if there was one. Then again that would contradict the fact Walmart had a preorder cancelation.
Anyway I'm enjoying my Snes Classic. Followed by NO I shouldn't be enjoying this.

    The Controller
Nostalgia: Ah, a very easy to remember button interface. Modern: Where am I going to rest my palms? There are no Triggers for me to happily pull! These buttons are backwards compared to my Xbox 360 controller! My right thumb is sore. Star Fox (2)
Nostalgia: Ah! My Steel Battalion before Steel Battalion!.... Well minus a Snes Arcade Controller. Modern: Yes but Steel Battalion is better! Nostalgia: Are you going to beat Steel Battalion? Modern: No.... Are you going to beat Star Fox or Star Fox 2. Nostalgia: Probably not and Star Fox 2 feels more complicated. The Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past
Nostalgia: Wow! I found a bow in a treasure chest! Modern: Yeah after fighting a bunch of soldiers who also have bows. In Skyrim I would've been able to loot their corpses for bows, armor, & other weapons. Then sell everything I don't want to a merchant. Super Mario RPG: Legend Of The Seven Stars
Nostalgia: I'm going grind in this area for a while. Modern: Oh, you're going to grind in a children's game rather than Soul Farm in Dark Souls? -
I haven't gotten around to playing the other games yet. Either because they weren't from my childhood. Or because I dislike Side Scrollers.

LMAO Sonny and Bajie from Into the Badlands are both in this? I was like "Thats Sonny!" Then Bajie shows up at the end.

I just got my skimmer last night before I went to bed. I'm loving this campaign so far. The plot is significantly better than Heart of Thorns. I finally got to hear Rytlock's story about what happened in the mists. Thanks alot Rytlock. I'm glad all players get to see the re-enactment of how Kormir takes god powers all on her own without asking anyone else if they want to take the burden. lol. She power grabbed so fast that she sprinted right to her goal.  I can still basically hear the hero "Wait Kormir!.... I deserve this, not you!"

Ok yeah, the Jackal is pretty awesome, but outside of the PoF maps its not as awesome. It can teleport through the air 3 times as it gets a DD type endurance bar, but it does lose some height so its not as good as the raptor jump. The Sand Portals are what makes it interesting. I've been wondered why there was a mastery point in the Desert Highlands that said it was above when all I could see was sky. Later i found a sand portal when I got as high as I could in that area. It took me through 2 sandy sky roads that ended in portals until I got to a platform way up in the stratosphere with the MP. I'm looking forward to all the hidden areas these portals will take me.

I beat the story. It took me about 12 hours. If you tried to hardcore speed run it, I doubt you could do it faster than 9-10. I only got side tracked doing hearts once, other than that I was going from chapter to chapter in between getting mounts. The only time it was gated was getting the Springer mount. You needed to get the canyon jump for the raptor to get to that area. The skimmer was only needed for one part, and the jackal is just extra for story... it seems a good bit of MP are gated behind it's abilities though. Once you get the Springer a wealth of MP become available, and you get one for each part of the story you do. You never really feel impeded by these. Each of the 3 mounts after the Raptor require a renowned heart to do, they offer the unsummonable mount and get you to practice its abilities to complete the heart. If only they'd have a CC heart. I'd say the Raptor is my favorite, its upgraded jump covers a lot of distance as long as you aren't going up hill. The Jackal is pretty neat, but seems situational.
The story was damn good. Bravo to Anet for the voice acting, and the writing. Canach and Rytlock were epic with their back and forth banter. I had a lot of good laughs. Steve Blum and John DiMaggio were on top of their game. You'd never be able to tell it was Spike and Bender. There was comedy, drama, suspense, surprises, and action. There was a large amount of variety as well. It wasn't a rinse and repeat "beat this enemy, defend this gate, talk to this person". Some of the achievements were pretty shit though. They either required 2 play throughs to do the opposite thing you did before, required a mount you wouldn't have had access too yet, or they were only soloable with a high DPS class. With how long the story was, it would be tedious to grind this. But I'm glad the story was long... and that the final boss wasn't bugged like Mordy.

The trailer for the campaign. Looks alot better than all the futuristic stuff CoD has been doing lately.

So I finally beat the story today and I have to say I'm actually quite impressed with what Bungie did with Destiny 2. Story was great but there were a few low points, as DX said the humor was upped considerably (I now officially love Cayde even more), and the loot is generously doled out as you level (I got 2 exotic engrams before I was even 12, one from a public event and one from a random chest). While I still have problems with the game (there's a few things they didn't change from D1 that irk me and I'm still pissed about the Crucible changes) all in all it's definitely worth a buy and play through if your so inclined (though if you're not willing to pay full price wait until it goes on sale).
Now to start the long and arduous power level grind, ugh.
