Helix Season 1: Laws of Nature Extended Trailer

Helix is an intense thriller about a team of scientists from the Centers for Disease Control who travel to a high-tech research facility in the Arctic to investigate a possible disease outbreak, only to find themselves pulled into a terrifying life-and-death struggle that holds the key to mankind's salvation...or total annihilation.

Syfy has finally released a trailer for Helix that actually shows clips from the first season. I'm looking forward to this series and I hope it doesn't disappoint me.

The first episode of Helix premieres Friday, January 10 at 10|9c, on Syfy.

I finished season 1 a few weeks ago.. The show had a lot of potential but it really feels like it fell apart in the last couple episodes. The narvik virus was interesting, but the characters were just not believable. Especially Alan. Wether he was angry, sad, happy, etc. He always had the same facial expressions and tone of voice. He felt like an actor reading off a script to me. The only decent characters in the show were Julia, Daniel, Annana and Hiroshi. Sergio also had some depth to him, but only because his character seemed to do a 180 shortly after killing that one CDC woman.

Seeing how season 1 ended, I don't know if I'll watch season 2. If season 2 is completely focused around Alan and his quest to find a woman who has obviously moved on, then I don't see it keeping my attention.

I never want to move again. Almost every day for the last week has been rain and it's raining even now. It's hard to believe how much stuff two ppl can accumulate over 18 year's until you have to move it all under a time restriction.

Thanks Spectrum/Time Warner for shutting off my services in the middle of the work day. fml. I scheduled the new account activation at my new house for this weekend and for the old account at the house I'm renting to terminate as of monday.. so what does Spectrum do? Shut my account down 1 day before the new account is activated and a full 4 days before it was scheduled to close. wtf. It took me 40 mins on the phone for them to reactivate my internet so I could finish working. wtf.

With the summer simuldub season coming to a close, it played out like I predicted more or less. I'll wait a bit longer before I post my review. Pretty lackluster overall. But for me, the Fall Lineup is pretty stacked. Fairy Tail, SAO Season 3, and Black Clover continues which has become a lot more promising after this last arc I just watched... by far its strongest and most compelling. I watched the first episode of Double Decker! Doug & Kirill which was entertaining, and SSSS.GRIDMAN seems to be a Pacific Rim clone. Overall a return to more action adventure series, and lighter on the fan service heavy series.

The last two chapters of One Punch Man have been the best action/fight scenes I've seen in a manga in years. Flashy Flash's fight was epic and focused on speed and technique. Huge props to the artist for how he drew a speed battle in manga form. Very impressive.
