Now that I've seen the trailer, I want to watch this. It'll be interesting since it'll focus on the initial zombie outbreak as opposed to ppl surviving day to day.

The first half was really lackluster.... they could have made it an hour premier. It felt they were trying to stretch it out for the sake of being 90 minutes. When he met Calvin in the diner that when it started getting really good. Hopefully the show picks it up next week.

I liked it overall, but I wouldn't be upset if they never made another episode.

3 of the 6 eps were decent while the other half was just meh. We could have done without the neighbor drama, because we never see the husband again after his walker wife got put down in his arms. Same goes for the guy that was freaking out and abandoned his family.... that seemed like a waste of time too... both of those characters are dead, no one cares enough about them to bring them back like Morgan in TWD.

Travis turned out to be a good character in the end, but hey took too much time developing him. Daniel was a great character, and if the show continues on he should be one of the stronger ones now that his wife is out of the picture. He has what it takes to survive. Strand is super shady. I don't like him or trust him. He's clearly out for himself and only feels obligated to the group because they saved him. He made that clear during his introduction. They need him though because of his resources. Nick is a bit cliche... I liked his character, but he reminds me of Charlie on LOST. The rest of the characters are very meh.... The ex wife died, so what... Madison is just there, same goes for her daughter and Travis' son. Ofelia was a big stronger, but she didn't get enough screen time, and was overshadowed by everything else that was going on.... if it wasn't for the whole solider relationship thing, she would probably be as bland as the rest.

The last 2 episodes finished strong, and there is potential there. Something would have to go wrong with the ship. I suppose the current issue is that someone needs to swim to it and bring it back. but I don't see how the show would work with them holding up on a ship, and only being in danger on supply runs when they have to dock. What is really messed up is that they are the reason the city is the shape its in. They let all the walkers out to save their family members. If there was anything to take from the show, it gave us an idea how quickly everything went south in Atlanta when Rick was in a coma.

Holy cow there seems to be a subscription crate for everything now. AC Filters, Clothes, Bras, Candy, etc. I actually just signed up for Umai Crate. It seems to be the most unique and best value. Its just a box full of different Japanese instant ramens. I'll report if its any better than the cheap shitty ramen you can get at the grocery store. For $25 a month, the box seems to be full of 7-9 bags/boxes/cups of various types. If I'm not impressed with the first box, I'll cancel it and feel like it was worth trying something interesting. I watched a few youtube unboxings and taste tests and it seems to be pretty well received, even in the comments on their facebook posts. I recently had authentic ramen at a local hole in the wall and it was amazing. I always thought ramen was just that shitty Nissin stuff. Some of the videos I watched, its def a little more complex than just pouring hot water into noodles and a tiny spice packet. Some of them have multiple packets to enter in before and after water is added. And apparently there are suggested fresh add ons you can buy separately at the grocery store. Things you obviously can't dehydrate like hard boiled eggs.

Being in the grocery business for over a decade and a half you see a lot of product flops, successes, bait & switches, and other flat out BS. In one year I watched Kellogg's decrease the size of their cereal box contents by .5oz-3oz multiple times. They kept the box height the same and made them marginally slimmer each time to make it less noticeable. When Eternal water first hit the shelves it was from "Natural Springs in Norway". One day a coworker noticed it tasted different, and then noticed the bottle now said "From a municipal water source in California". I've seen Edy's Ice Cream downsize their containers, and then return them to the old size a year later calling it "Now 20% more!" Nah, you just gave back what you took. The biggest scam of the century is Halo Top ice cream and everyone that's copying it. Halo Top is just jet puffed ice cream. Breyers makes their version, and now Ben & Jerry's is going to make their line of it. You're paying for deceptive portion control. The only reason they are "low calorie" is because there is less ice cream in the cup. Since a pint is by volume and not by actual weight, most people fall for the this trick. You're paying the same, if not more money for the ice cream version of a bag of chips half filled with air. Don't support this crap. Just get regular ice cream and eat less per serving. On a final note, Breyers doesn't even call their product ice cream anymore. Its "Frozen Dairy Dessert". WTF I'm glad I have access to Blue Bell. Its still a half gallon, and its still ice cream. http://www.mouseprint.org/2013/01/21/breyers-converts-ice-creams-to-frozen-dairy-desserts/

I've owned 3 cars now. My first car was a 1993 Nissan Maxima. It had 110k miles on it and it served me well until 215k miles. An alternator and a break hose were the only major repairs I've ever had to have done on it. Then I got a 2004 Mazda3 which also served me well from 11k miles to 80k miles, a fuel purge sensor was the only major repair I ever had to do on it. I'd still have it if some kid didn't pull out in front of my and total it. With the insurance check I should have just put a nice down payment on a brand new car... but at the time I didn't want a car note so I got the only thing I could find... a 2004 Ford Mustang. It had less miles than my Mazda so I figured it was like I just had this car all along since it was the same year. Wrong, its been the biggest POS I've ever owned. I've had to have the power steering pump replaced twice, major exhaust work twice, serpentine belt, entire ABS system, read axle, front calipers, CV joint, motor fan, and the transmission that was put in to replace the already busted on they tried to sell the car with, is about to go out again... to top it all off the paint just started crumbling off the car and now its rusting. I bought it with 65k miles and now it has 116k miles. Now that my college loan is almost finally paid off, I'm looking to get a brand new Honda Civic or VW Golf. The Civic is a car I've always wanted since wanting a car, but the Golf is very nice and has more horsepower. I'll never buy another ford car again. I remember when my exhaust system basically fell off the car because the manifold cracked... the muffler shop I went to basically said "Yeah this is pretty common at 90k miles for this car" which I was pretty much at... wtf. Screw Ford. I've never had so many catastrophic failures with a vehicle.

I'm sick of winter. This crap needs to end. Another day of driving on snow/ice covered roads in zero degree temps that are so cold the rock salt wont melt anything. Its like every road is made of gravel and my car is bouncing all over the place. At least the tall hill roads are getting treated with strong as hell rock salt of a different blend to ensure melting and to prevent accidents. But all other streets are complete ass to drive on.
