  1. X'D I didn't even know you couldn't play while charging with the 360, I never tried it. I never used the cord that came with the battery. Playing with the cord on PS3 is annoying, because the socket is so small and isn't very secure inside the controller. If you are playing Resistance: Fall of Man and you have to shake someone off of you, that cord is coming out real fast.
  2. You'll be waiting a while. I'd say at least another year or two minimum. Just keep your fingers crossed that it doesn't go the way of Blizzard's Diablo III. X'D
  3. The SIXAXIS is being discontinued across the board, All new PS3s will be packaged with a Dualshock3 controller when it is released. You'd only have to buy an extra DS3 (if you wait a bit longer), while for 360 you have to buy another controller, 2 batteries, or 1 battery and the charger station that comes with one. I basically use my 360 for my online gaming, like CoD4, while my PS3 is for my personal gaming. Currently most 3rd party PS3 games are 360 ports, but this is going to change sooner than later where the 360 will begin receiving watered down PS3 ports. I like them both. I have to have my games, and these days they are scattered across all consoles. Oh yes, I am a lucky bastard to have a original 60 gig PS3 which fully operational backwards compatibility. My friend has an 80 gig, and we've ran into some issues playing some old co-op PS2 games. Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks... the game runs fine, but the graphics are jacked up through the entire game... it looks like something that Game Genie did to NES games back in the day.
  4. Yes it has a bigger HD and it has better hardware. You have a less chance of getting a lemon if you get an Elite, but still no rechargeable controllers nor built in wi-fi which is highly disappointing. Three things should factor into your choice in the PS3 vs. Xbox 360 decision. 1. Which has the games you want, either now, or in the future? Its not about graphics or system specs. Its about what you like to play, both consoles have the same genres, but historically Sony tends to gear more toward Action, Platforming, and RPGs. Microsoft is big on Sports, Driving, and FPS. 2. Do you play online a lot? What kind of online service are you looking for? Sony's online gaming is free and until the PSN update, thats really the only thing it has going for it. The downloadable content, and arcade games are the same price for each console. Xbox Live is currently superior to PSN in every facet. As it is a paid for service (about $60 for 12 months with smaller packages available) you get a better online experience. Downloads are faster, and the interface is much nicer. There is also the achievement system which Sony is still working on for theirs. PLAYSTATION Home, and the future updated store looks interesting, there is potential for it, but it would be nice if the store and the console interface were integrated in tabs like 360's instead of having to log into it from the main menu. 3. What do your friends have? If you are indeed into online gaming, it is kind of hard to play co-op or against your friends if you have a different console. 360's headset also is a wonderful thing. PS3 Pros: Rechargeable controllers Battery Life last longer High quality hardware and sturdy construction Creates less noise than the 360 Blu-Ray player, it even plays DVDs way better than PS2 ever could On board wifi Free online service Superior future potential 360 Pros: Headset, voice communication Better online experience (if you are willing to pay) Larger game library Faster Downloads Achievements system Comes with HDTV and SDTV input cables (PS3 only comes with SDTV, you must buy the HD input separate) They will both heat up your room, they make pretty nice space heaters in the winter when you play... not so cool in the summer time.
  5. It depends on what you want. If you want an Xbox, and you want it to have a wireless connection, and rechargeable batteries for the controllers, you are going to pay just as much as you would for a PS3 that already has it on board. You must buy the 3 year warranty for your 360 as well because it's a POS and could get the red ring of death at any time. I worry about mine every time i turn it on. Xbox has more games, but do they have the games you want? Either system is good, it just depends on how bad you want MGS4. I would post more, but I must go to work.
  6. Xbox would have to get permission from Sony to use blu-ray, I doubt they'd get a fair price for the rights to do so. As of now Microsoft is too proud to ask, or at least they act like it amongst all the rumors. Its a situation where Sony could not give them permission and laugh at them, or give them permission and pocket a nice chunk of cash. I think the 360 is fine how it is right now though.
  7. Concept Picture in link. http://kotaku.com/376987/microsoft-to-rip-off-wii-remote-by-end-of-year-says-source Hmm with the loss of HD-DVD it certainly is an interesting move if ture. The only problem is, the fanbase that buys the 360, didn't buy it to play Wii games, and vice versa. Also it would be a hard sell to someone that wants a Wii, because the 360 is more expensive, and the X-mote would be a separate accessory until they made a pricey console bundle. I'm guessing it would work via USB for a censor bar.
  8. I like their documentaries, I just couldn't really take the retelling of the sighting every 3 minutes, and the replay of the poorly put together CG over and over. The guys themselves were pretty uninteresting. I guess I was just comparing it to much to Ghost Hunters.
  9. POInxw0Id_E I might post some opinions later.
  10. They should just go back to 2 hours of Dragonball Z on Toonami. X'D
  11. Bleh, I have lost a bit of faith in team sonic, they have sold their games based on the character rather than the quality of the game. The last few sonic games were completely atrocious, and one of the major reasons is because of the camera angle system they refuse to fix. I saw the video, it looks like they are trying to bring Sonic back to his roots, so who knows.
  12. It is also interesting to note that the PS3 has begun to outsell the 360 from month to month, and comparing their first ten months from launch, the PS3 has performed better. Of course there are all kinds of fanboyism reasons the PS3 still sucks. The MGS4 launch will be quite interesting.
  13. I didn't say anything was wrong with it, I just implied that the policy really isn't much of a restriction. They'll get there hands on it either way. There is nothing wrong with the restriction, its the way it should be. But as we can see, some courts think parental responsibility should be shoved on the businesses that sell the product. Which is wrong. The one idiot goes out and shoots a few people or breaks someones neck in a rare isolated incident shouldn't represent the entirety of the gaming society. The millions of people that play these games and aren't affected shouldn't be punished for the few mentally unstable that have severe issues caused by things other than the games they play.
  14. In my opinion, its no ones business but your own what you buy and and view. If the parents want to be neglectful thats up to them. I was buying Mortal Kombat when I was in middle school. Everyone likes to blame video games for todays problems, when its simply not the problem. Anyone at any age can watch an R rated movie, parental accompaniment my be required, but they can still watch it. I don't think it should be Best Buy's or Gamestop's job to babysit the local children.
  15. Happy B. Don't get to drunk. X'D
  16. I tried to watch it the other night, it was kinda boring =\. I normally love UFO shows, but I just couldn't get into it. Ghost Hunters definitely get more funding to do there thing.
  17. http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1808495230/video/6965543 HD version
  18. You can recycle both technically, one uses trees, one isn't very biodegradable. You can return any plastic bag to our store, but I'm sure most throw them in the garbage can. We sell the cloth bags, but no one buys them, though I see a few people with their own home made ones... very few.
  19. They said he is trying to wait it out until he gets a deal where he doesn't get jail time. must be nice to be above the law.
