  1. Yes more than one tribe around the world practiced that art. There is a tribe in Africa that ties a flat board to the child's head to make their forehead slant. I haven't investigated the South American tribes worship, but it is known to be similar to Egyptian and Sumerian. The Sumerian's have many text and artistic architecture that depict a similar story seen in the movie. Beings coming down to earth that they worshiped as deities and such.
  2. *shrugs* Well, thats why its George Lucas' story and not yours. Its kind of pointless to say "this is how he should have written it". People will like it or hate it, but its not worth getting bent out of shape over. You have to wonder what the original script was though. The whole thing was scrapped years ago.
  3. I thought it was pretty good. The only thing wrong with the movie in my opinion was the first 20 minutes or so. They could have went from the warehouse section straight to him getting on the train. Then dedicated the rest of that time to searching for the temple. Overall I think it was well done, sure they could have stuck to the original stuff... but it wouldn't have been anything "new" and you'd have even more people complaining about how it was just another ark, doom or crusade with the same old unoriginal gags. For whatever reason, not everyone will be pleased, but sometimes being hardcore on originality (not being like the last ones) drives a series to be stale. I do hope this is the last one however. Mutt > Short Round - Both didn't contribute much to the respective films but Shia was far less annoying. My new ordering of the films according to my favorites: Ark Crusade Skull Doom
  4. http://dbthemovie.com/2008/05/22/more-scans-yamcha-and-chi-chi-revealed/ X'D I have nothing to say.
  5. Space 1999 would be another good one to redo, but I don't think people could look past the fact that Earth couldn't survive very long without the Moon with today's understanding of science. lol
  6. The picture shown is a little bigger than a normal modern gas pump. Lets use Shell/BP/Cheveron size as an example just incase they all aren't the same size. I assume the final product is as big or smaller as an everyday gas pump. Can it fit in the back of a truck? Maybe a full sized pick up. No smaller than a F150/Silverado 2500/Ram. I don't think it would fit in an S10/Dakota/Tacoma/frontier sized truck. Not only may it be too big, but that thing has got to be heavy. I think they ship it to you anyways. It might not be available in a store anytime soon... the question is, who would carry such a product... besides wally-world of course.
  7. X'D Yes the media controls all electors and even protons... not too sure about the neutrons.
  8. I saw that on the news the other day. The retail model is suppose to be even smaller than that. $10,000 isn't bad. If it ever picks up though sugar prices would go through the roof.
  9. The Media has always controlled the elections, and until people stop being mindless and believing everything on TV, it won't change. LBJ didn't bother with a second term because of the media Nixon resigned because of the media Clinton won because of the media. Bush won twice because of a brief distrust in the media after Clinton The fox news phenomenon was created because of the heavily biased media The media demonized our troops during Veitnam. Yet they lead us all into 2 Iraq wars, and now they cry foul on the second one. Popular opinion is formed by the media, because people are too lazy to research for themselves. To them, if the news reports on it, it must be true. Whether people want to believe it or not, the media is a bigger culprit than the government when it comes to propaganda.
  10. Even Hardcore S&D? I was thinking about playing some the other day since I haven't touched S&D in a few months. Kids have completely ruined domination, Everyone goes for kills now instead of the freakin' flags... at least the people on my team tend to do that. They all want to be snipers on overgrown. What is funny is that everyone uses the same hiding spots. They all like to hide by that bridge. I always go around and get 3-4 free kills right off the bat. Sniping on Bloc has come to and end all together when my friend and I are around. We go on a shotgun rampage through the buildings until people wise up. Gotta love the kids, they have no concept of the kill cam, and that you can see exactly where they are camping from. Yeah that last level was a bitch even on regular. We never had a chance to bump it up to pro because it was a rental. It was silly, because there was no consistency in difficulty, the game went smoothly and then all of the sudden the last level is hard as shit, but then the boss is a joke. I also liked that electric puzzle they just tossed in there for the monorail, after having virtually no puzzles in the entire game. The sequel could use a lot more of those.
  11. Try a pimped out M134 X'D. After we beat the game and unlocked all the primary weapons, we screwed around a bit. Thats how I got the 1 minute at full aggro achievement. The man issue we ran into was that sometimes, it just didn't work. Even though I was on full aggro, the enemy would still pay attention to my partner that was trying to flank, before he even fired a shot. It didn't happen a lot, but it did happen. LOL. Man I put my mic on, and turn the earpiece volume all the way down when I play COD4, unless I am playing in a party. The Kids are annoying, its times like that, when I wish kids couldn't play M rated games.
  12. Yeah I don't think the aggro system was terrible, I just expect it to be more refined in a sequel. If they make one, I have pretty high hopes for it, because this was a killer concept. Yeah I wish COD4 had co-op campaign as well, but IW admitted they wanted all the attention to be focused on the multiplayer developement... and we both know that payed off very well. The only fault I find in COD4's multiplayer is the dipshits that complain about how you killed them 1000 times and how you must be camping, because they are too stupid to watch the kill cam and see what is going on. But thats just about the unavoidable downfall of all multiplayer games. Nothing the developer can do.
  13. I had a chance to play this game last week with a friend and I can say its a pretty fun experience. If you play by yourself, the computer AI is decent, but is pretty passive even when you tell it to be aggressive (this is only useful on the 360 because you get an achievement for beating the game with the AI) This game was pretty much designed for playing with another human. The concept of aggro (drawling attention to yourself) was neat, but it needed to be refined a bit more. The boss battles were pretty lackluster, they just felt like a stronger version of a heavily armored enemy with a better weapon. The final battle was an even bigger disappointment. Pros: Pretty impressive enemy AI Awesome weapons Mid-mission weapons shopping optional objectives in each chapter required team work great weapon customization good plot development Cons: faulty aggro system short game length You can buy new masks color schemes, but only get 3 classes of armor that are the same color. buying new masks doesn't enhance your attributes in any way(and they are expensive) some weapons lack any significant upgrade options. disappointing end of gameplay. All and all, its definitely worth a rent. I'll probably buy it if it ever goes down to $20.

  20. More like turning into the comedy zone.
  21. For the most part the only fanboys around here are the ones that call others fanboys or they regard everything they disagree with as fanboyism. It probably won't go away. So the two choices you have are either flat out ignore them, or post an article just because you know it will ruffle their feathers. X'D
  22. Unless you have Tupperware thats over 30 years old, it should be fine. My mom has plastic cups that are around 20 years old, and they do fine.
  23. The Joker will be portrayed accurately in the Dark Knight. Jack Nicholson's Joker was... well a joke. The second batman was by far the worst batman ever created. YES, even worse than Batman & Robin. They pretty much ruined Superman with the whole son angle, and using Lex Luthor again... They could have done something much better like Darkseid or Brainiac. The movie was ok, but not great. Like i said.. the whole son thing pretty much screwed it from ever having a good sequel. Anyways.. Iron Man was pretty solid. It could have used another action sequence at least, but Downey Jr. looked the part more than anyone could possibly do. The little treat after the credits was great.
