  1. Haven't been on much, posting much, replying much lately. Lots of things going on in my life. About 12 years or so ago I moved out for the first time with a friend. I wasn't making any more than $11 an hour but I just wanted to live the bachelor life. Needless to say, I didn't make enough to support my lifestyle. I swiped the credit card for groceries, dates, emergencies, etc all to make rent/power. I got myself into about $30k in credit card debt. Eventually I had to move back in with my parents. I spent the last decade paying all my mistakes off and saving up thanks to my old company shutting my store down and me getting into a better company that pays significantly better.

I signed a lease today on my own place. This will be my first time I'm truly living on my own. I kinda sorta did the first go since my roommate was never home... but its all me this time. found a nice little 1br apt and will be moving in over the next several days. I shouldn't miss too much as I have AT&T Fiber Optic internet being installed the day of move in. 1000mbps FTW! I'm really pumped about it. Hopefully soon I'll be back to posting nonsensical YT videos on various topics. lol

  2. My dad has stage 4 liver cancer. Its not operable. Hes going to have to start chemo soon. He had colon cancer last year but they were able to remove it. I'm hoping the chemo takes care of it.

  3. Had a busy weekend. A cousin from out of state visited, another day we put a second coat of paint on our garage and the third day was all yard work. It was a nice having a 3 day weekend. I have another one coming up this weekend, but I have to replace the dip tube in my water heater, hopefully that doesn't take me all day. My water heater is in an awkward location in its own utility closet and I'll have to disconnect 3 water lines to pull it out far enough to get the tube down the top because theres a shelf over the water heater and it has no clearance. I'm sure it'll be a pain in my ass. x_x

fortunately it turned to the right as soon as laura made a landfall. not a drop of rain and no wind. greetings for that day was like "hey, we dodged a bullet" or "hey, we are so lucky" lmao. have to see next week though, 2 new tropical storms heading this way from atlantic -_-

lol damn..8 hours sounds like a nightmare. i hope you dont have to go thru that everytime you clean it. O_o the waterheater that got replaced had no problem for 20 years. or at least i dont remember it needing any maintenance. but the new one is electric, maybe little more than a year old, and it already had an overheating issue a couple months back. a technician said it was an error due to power outage but idk. i hope it lasts as long as the old one bc just by calling someone to check on it is like $120.

lol one time i thought i could replace a water heater by myself after watching a 5 min tutorial vid on YT. XD make things more complicated its located in the attic. it took 3 workers almost 6 hours to install a new one. had it not for the YT "prank" guy to mention about gas leak and water tank blowing up at the last few seconds of vid, who knows what could have happened XD

thats nice having extra days off. last time i had 2 days off, i went to sea world in san antonio. ^_^ but my job sucks and i only get one day off per week,,so i was hoping hurricane laura could shift towards to the left and hit houston so i could get one extra day off LOL. XD dumb thinking bc this morning it says itll be cat 4 during landfall. hope it stays in that path between texas and louisiana border. still very close call x_x

  5. The latest windows update defaulted everything to light mode including the task bar and start menu. x_x Thankfully there is a setting to change that in the taskbar settings. Its like windows decided to burn my eyes first thing this morning. x_x

yeah I’m being really careful with it. I only use it to play old steam games, listen music, and visit YT and check my emails. one of last windows 7 updates disabled several steam games I liked so that sucked

this was years ago but i never upgraded mine even when it was offering free windows 10. ive heard lots of complaints about windows 10 even before that. my main reason was it said windows 10 wasnt compatible with old steam games

  7. I've lost a lot of interest in Anime recently with the COVID stuff. With the dubs at a crawl, I haven't consumed anywhere near as much stuff or kept up with it. the Fire Force dub is only on ep 3... and I finally got current with Fruits Basket Season 2 yesterday. (My god the feels are about to explode it seems). I also lost interest in mobile games... just one day I just stopped playing AL and Arknights. They started becoming a chore that I felt I had to play, and in the end it just wasn't enjoyable anymore I guess. I've lost interest in a lot of stuff recently, and regained interest in other areas. I guess its just a part of getting old. I ordered TWD Compendium 4, So I'll be reading that tomorrow to get ahead of the TV show again. Other than that I just really sit around, drink coffee and watch science videos on YT. I guess that's what I'm content with now these days. XD

this brings back my painful memory lol..damn almost 2 decade ago i use to download new episodes of inuyasha from torrent every week with excitement but out of the blue it got discontinued and it bummed me out so badly. it was like some kind of switch turned off inside of me..it felt like a betrayal. i was like why even start if you cant commit? what about us fans who supported your show? i believe this was 2nd anime that pulled this stunt on me and left me feel cheated for investing my time and money..yes i downloaded it for free but i normally bought a complete series on dvd if i liked them, plus merchandises like manga, toys & games that came along w/ its anime. now that was all pointless. i looked up manga to see kikyo's demise and lost interest in anime altogether at that point on. over the years i do seldomly give a try on new ones that look interesting on netflix or amazon prime but i just never finish watching them past no more than a couple of first episodes. attack on titan was an exemption but i grew tired of that one too. so i moved on to wcw/wwf, when that got old i moved on to pc games. it was only recent that my brother got me interested again in console games around late 2018. lol his wife wont let him play video games (not completely bc he has his nintendo switch) so he gave me his ps4. his ps3 and ps2 were still here when he moved out so i started to play them as well. got a new switch for my birthday around the same time i got ps4 so i havent spent a dime on a console yet XD he says he is getting ps5 so ill visit him often to play and to see if its worth getting. if i have nothing to watch, i just play old anime on tv like escaflowne as a background noise while i play video games

  8. Turns out I had some sitemap issues, SEO issues and some issues with the https changeover that google absolutely did not like. It looks like google wasn't crawling the site or at least not crawling and indexing the site like it should have been for who knows how long. I think thats all fixed now and I think google is indexing correctly again. Will this increase our users online? I have no idea, lol. But at least the site should be a bit more visible with google now.. at least until google gives me another email about errors again. -_-;

As of now from over the last 5 months our best search term that gives us results is:

    "one punch man english dub"

The lowest search terms that somehow loads one of our pages:

    "utz cheddar cheese balls"

    XD

i normally use google search engine to enter any sites including here so i can pretty much say it wasnt easy. always had to type exact "ancient clan forums" otherwise it gave me some weird ass results. cant find it now but one time i made a typo and it led me to some aryan supremacy site lol wrong kind of "klan" i was looking for

  9. Damn heat wave needs to stop. :sweat2: We usually only get around 8 days of 90s+ every year. Mostly we get high 70s and high 80s during the summer. So far we've already hit 9 days of 90s+ and we have even more coming. It wouldn't be so bad if we could get some rain though. Everything is so dry I'm only mowing twice a month now and I think I'll mow this weekend.. but its mostly to cut all the clover thats growing because most of the grass is all turning brown. I bought mulch today for our garden because I'm burned out on watering it every morning. We'll mulch all those veggies and I should only have to water every other day then.

there really is no time getting use to when temp drops to 40 over night and then shoots back up to 75 in the afternoon during fall/winter. X_x; i dont even have a winter jacket so i wear 4 - 6 layers of clothing at a time lol

and some jackass reported me yesterday for not wearing a mask. A/C was not working and inside the store temp was close to 90. lucky i already went home and my coworkers played cool so the store got off with a verbal warning but this sunday will be over 100 so idk. itll be hard.

  10. Wearing a mask with glasses sucks. I've been using neck gaiters, but when you were anything that has to go around your ears it makes your glasses lose grip. I'm going to get a new Rx on contacts Monday. I stopped wearing them about 2 years ago becasue I couldn't wear them a whole day without my eyes getting irritated. I just need them for 8-10 hours tho, just to get through work.

  11. I'm stepping up my manscaping. lol. I bought a "MANGROOMER Ultimate Pro Back Shaver" off amazon. I've only used it once and I already highly recommend it. My back is like a wookie. XD And this thing shredded through all that hair and didn't pull a single one. No pain and no red marks or irritation on my back. Link for reference:

    https://www.amazon.com/MANGROOMER-Ultimate-Shaver-Absorber-Extreme/dp/B00FULYKG4

Its got a rechargeable battery. I was really impressed with it. I'd post before and after pics of my back, but I don't want to traumatize people with my back hair bathroom mirror pics. XD

  12. I've never been so happy to get a haircut in my life. Barber shops were allowed to open up today. I guess knowing there would be an overflow of people, there are no walk ins, only same day appointments. I was able to call and get one in. When I got there they had to disconnect the phone because it would not stop ringing and they just couldn't cut hair and keep taking new appointments nonstop at the same time. XD

  13. I made a deal with a roofing company.. my roof repair is going to set me back a solid $1500.00 There goes my stimulus check plus some. I think I could have gotten a cheaper deal with a different company, but this guy does legit quality work. I figure you get what you pay for in most circumstances and this repair job will require replacing a small chunk of the roof, plywood and shingles at least 6x4, and blending new shingles in with existing ones and it'll come with a full warranty and guaranteed not to leak.

yeah it sucks. last year it was a water heater. this year it was a dryer. its always something to fix or replace. i got my stimulus last week but i barely break even, and not counting car maintenance/repairs etc. heres hoping for 2nd stimulus but texas is reopening this friday so i dont know. maybe lol. do u still live in that old place next to cemetery? i remember hurricane ike back in 2008, it did a pretty good damage on the roof and it took them a week to fix it. good thing it was covered bc it was close to 5 grand

  15. Welp second round of layoffs today at work (oh we weren't going to have anymore my ass) and I got myself a permanent vacation from work again. At least this time it's not an outright firing and I did get paid for the whole day plus I'm getting paid for the entirety of next week as well. Also get to retain my health insurance to the end of the month (which means my ass needs to get down to the pharmacy and get my HBP meds refilled before I lose it).

Fucking sucks after putting all that time into that fucking company and learning shit I never wanted to learn in hopes it'd help keep my job. Fat lot of good that did. They also had the audacity to say I'm able to be re-hired once market conditions favor them hiring more people. When will that be? Fuck knows but I have no intention of going back unless they're willing to hire me back at more or equal to what I was getting paid (though, in all honesty, not fucking worth it).

Now I get to experience the joy of finding a new job again in a market overflowing with job seekers and nobody's really hiring in my area right now due to this epidemic. Not only that I need to find a job that pays roughly what I was getting which is going to be hard around here as well. Looking like I'll have to go back to retail which will be a massive hit in pay for me.

I also get to experience filing for unemployment for the first time in my life. So looking forward to that.

Sigh, on the bright side I have plenty of time to watch anime and play games until I find a new job. Guess that's a silver lining.
