  1. They want an older guy for 1 reason, to have an older babe as the eye candy If it had an actual 16 year old lead male and female as there meant to would mean actual work on the dialogue and real acting chops as opposed to eye candy I dont think he looks the role, he looks like a lanky dr who

  3. Best episode ever the eyePhone ;p btw Why did Comedy Central try to remove an Apple "EyePhone" joke from Futurama clips? http://io9.com/5579419/why-did-comedy-central-try-to-remove-an-apple-eyephone-joke-from-futurama-clips Just how much did Comedy Central fear the wrath of MomSteve Jobs? First they posted a clip from Tuesday's Futurama, with an "EyePhone" joke conspicuously removed. And after Maclife blew the whistle, they took the clip down altogether. Apple is the new Scientology
  4. http://www.mirror.co.uk/celebs/news/2010/07/03/british-actor-andrew-garfield-lands-spider-man-role-115875-22378622/ A little-known British actor has beaten big-name rivals to snare the role of Spider-Man. Andrew Garfield, 26, is the surprise choice to play the superhero in a new 3D Hollywood blockbuster when filming begins in December. Director Marc Webb said: "Mark my words, you will love Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker. "Though his name may be new to many, those who know this young actor's work understand his extraordinary talents." Andrew is believed to have seen off contenders including British actors Jamie Bell, who shot to fame in Billy Elliot and Kick-Ass star Aaron Johnson. Andrew won a Bafta in 2008 for his powerful role as a childkiller haunted by his memories in the Channel 4 drama Boy A. He also starred in the film The Other Boleyn Girl and appeared in Channel 4 triology Red Riding as journalist Eddie Dunford. He made his modelling debut in Vogue magazine last year, appearing alongside Lily Cole. Andrew was born in Los Angeles, his mother was from Essex and his father Californian. His family moved back to England when he was three. The actor went to the City of London Freemen's School and did his training at the Central School of Speech and Drama. Avi Arad, one of the producers on the Spider-Man franchise said: "We believe we have found the perfect choice for this role to lead us into the future." The new Spider-Man movie is scheduled for release on the big-screen in 2012. Former Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire and director Sam Raimi, who made three hit Spider-Man films together, are reported to have quit amid story and scheduling issues over the fourth movie. 5. i think he looks like a young conan, which is what they were aiming for, and so it seems the rest is up to the script and his acting chops

  8. Guts: Considered by many as the pure personification of strength and will, Guts is a Byronic hero who is born as one who may be able to struggle against causality but who is unable to maintain it indefinitely The Byronic hero typically exhibits several of the following characteristics:[citation needed] a strong sense of arrogance high level of intelligence and perception cunning and able to adapt suffering from an unnamed crime a troubled past sophisticated and educated self-critical and introspective mysterious, magnetic and charismatic struggling with integrity power of seduction and sexual attraction social and sexual dominance emotional conflicts, bipolar tendencies, or moodiness[citation needed] a distaste for social institutions and norms being an exile, an outcast, or an outlaw "dark" attributes not normally associated with a hero[citation needed] disrespect of rank and privilege jaded, world-weary cynicism self-destructive behaviour Anti heroes are usually more interesting as the writer doesnt flood you give you what you want, motives reasons and history are fed in little amounts, and random acts of out of character behaviour is what really keeps the audience. Someone said the best writer doesnt give the audience what they expect, but what they dont expect. Normal heroes usually all follow a set pattern, you love them, there awesome, they will always save the day, and when shit hits the fan, they will be the last one standing. but the anti hero is the one with surprises who all the girls fancy but go with the hero as he is more consistent.
  9. knocking the race issue one last time in defence of the casting team The voice actors who played the characters weren't the right ethnicity. So aslong as he/she sounds white... I personally dont care anymore about the race of the people in the film, just if the film will be good or bad i agre that looks like the best part of the movie is all in the trailer

    Final Fantasy XIII

Square have pretty much said that ff7 cant be remade as it would take too long to make a non linear game with the graphics of ff13. hence why a lot of RPG's are being made for inferior machines like the DS and iPhone, as a lot faster to make wont be a new FF for like 5-7 years not inc ff14 the mmorpg

    Final Fantasy XIII

im near the end, like 2 pages in the guide left with a note saying theres plenty of hours left, meaning hours of battles to finish this game, really can be asked...
  12. in a nation born from guns, you cant remove guns once there there. Though i dont believe in guns, I believe 100% it would have been far better if there was no guns in the 1st place, so no one had them. If i lived in the USA i would own a gun. I wish the UK would allow us to defend our homes, you cant in the UK, pull a Knife on someone breaking into your home, you face jail time. (unless you go before a Jury, as no jury would convict a person defending their home and family)
  13. wish it was sooner, but still a step in the right direction
  14. new episodes were ok, nothing special, but something worth watching id never set time and watch it on tv, but ill d'l every episode and watch it in spare time

  19. thats the problem with remakes No matter how good they are, they are always criticised for deviating away from the original plot, or being too similar to the original plot, or the actors wernt as good as the originals etc etc
  20. tbh if they come up with this idea in Terminator, we could have stopped Skynet. ;p
  21. http://www.slashfilm.com/2010/06/18/batman-fan-film-city-of-scars/ The budget for Christopher Nolan's 152-minute The Dark Knight? An estimated $185,000,000. The budget for Aaron Schoenke's 30-minute Batman: City of Scars? $27,000! Shot in just 21 days, City of Scars can't compare to a big-screen blockbuster with a budget 6,851 times larger (if we're doing our math right), but it's an impressive achievement. The film—in which the Joker's escape from Arkham Asylum forces Batman to confront his own demons—premiered today on Daily Motion and will be available for only one month. So you'd better check it out now! http://scifiwire.com/2010/06/watch-awesome-fan-made-ba.php i watched it, pretty good for a fan made, better then all prior to Nolan ;p
  22. reminds me of the ending to the movie ''escape from LA''
