yeah, everyone's like 'Oh, your art is soooo cool!', but apparently it's not good enough people want to pay for it.....

    Art Commissions

Ok, normally I wouldn't post this here, but I could really use the money for computer repairs. So, for those that don't watch my devart or don't watch my devart journals, I just wanted to bring this up. I am taking commission for arts of various kinds. I have prices and types listed here for line art, duotone, cellshading and soft shading arts. I will also do busts, but I don't happen to have any samples at this point in time. Prices start at $8.00 and go up, so I don't think it's unreasonable. Anyhoo, I'm not doing this for extra spending money. I'm doing this for computer repair money, then to start paying off my credit card. I know a lot of people say 'Oh, i'd love to but i don't have the money'. I have that problem myself. But if you happen to have the extra money and are interested, just contact me!

    Gay Hard Video

I loved the one where he went after this toy company because he wanted a game made of him.
  4. Well, the Bible is not the 'Word of God' as if He came down to the typewriter and typed it all out himself. A lot of Bible-thumpers don't want to realize that. In fact, a large part of the OT was oral tradition before it ever made it down on paper. And as we all know, when stories are retold, they change. Espically over a long time. Not to mention that the Bible as we know it was last fully translated back in King James' day, which was not really a good time for the Church to be doing that. I accept the stories in the Bible as stuff that happened, but not exactly as they are written. A lot of fundies can't accept that, so they use the Bible as a weapon, interprit it in their own way, and screw up Christianity for the rest of us. In fact, a lot of scholars do accept the Bible as a written record of oral history (at least the OT), but they realize that everything described in there can't be taken as gospel truth.

    Gay Hard Video

I love Hard Gay! I saw a guy up at AI last year that dressed up as him. He did a great impression.
  6. Apparently, I should visit more often.
  7. what about the day-age theory?...that one day to God is a thousand, thousand years to man...(or however the numbers work out)...that always made the most sense to me....and what if the scientific processes we're just now discovering is the how of how God made everything?,....the Bible doesn't say how, it just says He did....*shrugs*....i don't think science and religion have to be completly seperate....i think that together, they provide both sides of the answer.... And I always get annoyed at Christians that completly dismiss evolution. They do so because they don't believe we have a common ancestor with apes (not that we evolved from apes!). I have yet to see any evidence to support this theory, yet that's only a small part of what evolution is. Humans have evolved over the centuries. How else do you explain all the different races and traits that humans have? Espically if we did come from one couple, Adam and Eve. I don't recall it specifically stating anywhere in the Bible that at one point God changed various groups of people to black, white, and whatever, along with various hair colors and styles and so on. That's really what the theory of evolution encompasses. Not that we have a common ancsestor with apes, but that all living things evolve to adapt to their environments. These changes are very small and take a long time, but they do happen. You can just look around as you're walking down the street to see that. I personally don't believe that humans and apes come from the same genetic pool, but I don't completly dismiss the theory of evolution because it has occured. *climbs off her soapbox* Sorry, got a little carried away there. ;

It's not considered eating if you spit them back out again.
  9. I second the notion of Knights of the Old Republic. KotOR 2 is fun until the ending, so I would suggest getting it. Since you're not limited to 20 lvls like you are in the first one, you can really beef up. It's so much fun to run into a room of baddies and Force Storm and they're all dead. I sit there and giggle repeatidily. ; As for other games, pick up Quake 3 Area. No story, just FPS, great for stress relief. I tend more towards RPGs, so one of my favorites is Dungeon Siege 1 and 2. Dungeon crawlers, but I really enjoyed them. Oh, and if your laptop will run it, go get Oblivion. The story is kinda crappy and short, but it's still a lot of fun to play and you can download free mods and extra quests that other people have made, so you can keep expanding it. And if you ever decide to try a MMORPG, I can get you on my server in FFXI. *hinthint*
  10. Eurika is pretty good. I also liked Dead Like Me. I do not like BSG. I'm sorry, what I have seen of it is a space soap opera drama and it irritates me. Espically since I'm a fan of the original series. And as far as I can tell, Tin Man doesn't follow any of the books, but is more like a 'modern' setting of the story. I mean, the elements were there that mirrored the original story, but it has it's own story to it and uses it's own ideas. Ok, it wasn't the best story around (a bit predictable, actually), but it was fun to watch. I actually thought the Queen was Ozma through part of it. My main complaint is the actress that played DG. Why didn't she change expressions? Most of the time, she was walking around like she was in shock or something. I can understand the guy that played Cain not doing much in the expression department. After all, he's playing the guy with no heart, but couldn't she have varied it up a bit? The only time her expression really changed was at the end when she was smiling. I dunno, I just would've liked to see more variety in how she acted.
  11. the only problem with a series is that i don't think they'd get Alan Cumming to still be Glitch....he did a great job with that character.... plus, knowing how shows are turning out now, i'd probally end up as some over-hyped drama...*rolls eyes*....

    Newness

'ello and welcome. There's actually not a lot of GW discussions going on, but feel free to start one. Just be forwarned it may get ursurped by Strider and I.
  13. It's not based on any one OZ book. It's kinda an updated type of story that uses the realm of OZ and gives a new look and new idea to the characters. I rather liked it. A bit cliched in many ways, but they did a really good job on the characters and it was most entertaining.
  14. Yeah, I was thinking about posting something on it. The introductions of the characters seemed kinda rushed and it's kinda cliched in a lot of ways, but it is entertaining. Enough that I'm definatly going to watch the last ep tonight.
  15. I have no problem with spanking a child, as long as you're not spanking them so hard you leave bruises or slapping them across the face or something. And of course, now people are going to be even more convinced that spanking a child is actual abuse because of people like this. You know, I saw something on A&E about a similar case. I think it was in New York or someplace near there. It's really eerie how alike it is.
  16. *hands Strider a happy bunny bandage* I was gonna say, considering how many times I've heard it in movies and on the radio, it would be shocking that you'd never heard it.
  17. Ok, I can understand wanting to put learning tools into the hands of kids in poor countries. That's a good thing. But it's not going to do any good when they have no school, no way to recharge the damn thing, or no teachers to teach them with it.
  18. *stabs with a spork* How dare you? That's one of the best songs from the 80's! Go YouTube it, dammit! It's a great video too! Mine was "Shadow Dancing" by Andy Gibb. Why couldn't I get a cool song?
  19. I don't think that it's as much an increase in the number of cases as an increase in the number of diagnosed cases. More knowledge means better ways to detect autisim, even if it's not something we can cure.
  20. Yeah, not real. *rolls eyes*

    I can has kitty!!

HK: some cats love kids, some don't....just like some dogs love kids and some don't....a lot depends on how well they were socialized when they were babies..... Anyhoo, she's settling in. She wants CUDDLE TIME, by which she wants my lap to nuzzle my nose! *squee!* And she still doesn't like me walking around her or picking her up. She'll get up in my lap when she wants to be petted, which is a lot, actually. But she doesn't like me picking her up for some odd reason. Ah well. She had bronchitis, which seems to be clearing up, but she still sneezes a lot. I'm beginning to suspect allergies, which is bizzare. I'm not allergic to her, but she's allergic to me? *LOL* But anyways, I'm happy now. Oo! Oo! Video! Yes, I'm a dork! Who loves the exclimation point! ! http://s85.photobucket.com/albums/k48/dubird/?action=view&current=S7300082.flv
  22. Ok, the 'redneck' thing is mostly a joke. Originally, it applied to hicks that live in the south out in the country. Actually, watch the movie Deliverence. Those are rednecks. Jeff Foxworthy is southern, so that's one of the reasons he does those jokes. He defines being a redneck as a 'glorious absence of sophestication', which is true in a lot of ways. Rednecks are not just southern, you'll find rednecks everywhere. As for the 'skin color' thing, why does it matter? Seriously. I've never understood that.
  23. Wrote the 'shit' is the correct phrase there. If they want more money, write good shit instead of bad shit!! The maybe we can get actual movies in the theatre that are worth paying to go see. I mean, I can see their point. All these companies are making a shit-load of money from DVD and Internet sales, and the people responsible for, I dunno, WRITING that stuff should have a cut. But I'd be a lot more sympathetic if TV and movies have been worth watching overall the past several years.
