I shall put these new tactics into practice tonight and see if I get any better at sniping (and if not go watch more of your vids). My problem is after 200 meters it's touch and go with me. Sometimes I line the shot perfectly and other times I fall a good 10-20 meters short and the target moves or another sniper picks me off. I think my major problem is I'm used to semi-auto snipers from COD, I'm not used to bolt-actions so the coming out of scope to chamber another round really throws me off.

Okay how did you get that kill in the first DMR vid DX, with a relex sight at that? I couldn't even see the guy and didn't know you got a kill till it popped up. If that's how good that gun is then I'll definitely be working extra hard on unlocking it. Yea, if I ever figure out how to fly a helo I'm definitely not flying one when I'm in a game with you on opposite teams. You're freaking deadly with a RPG and I do not want to be on the receiving end of one of your rockets

This is a video of me sniping from that exact location:

And heres a video of me on the other side of the map killing someone sniping from that exact location with my SUAV.

I agree with DX, that location is definitely the best sniping spot. Aim for the rooftop for easy marksman ribbons.

Moving targets are much more challenging. Its all a matter of finding out where the bullet will intersect with the guy's head based on his speed.. lol. I've gotten used to it tho.

Aside from a 1,000 meter headshot, my most impressive shot IMO is this one at the 18 second mark.. I hit the guy while he was moving from 900+ meters away.

Check some of my other Sniping videos Strider.. You'll notice my pattern, I spot every enemy first, set my distance for the rifle at the bottom of the screen, and then aim at the triangle. If I miss, I'll aim up or down slightly based on how far away he is and what my rifle is set for. If the guy turns out to be 480 meters away, I set my rifle for 500 and aim just below the triangle. Always make sure the vertical line of the scope is always lined up with the middle of that triangle, or the bullet will almost never hit the target if its over 200+ meters away. Setting the distance on the rifle is the biggest improvement over Battlefield 3. In BF3 you had to aim inches above enemies heads and always adjust for the bullet drop. But with that range / distance setting, bullet drop is way easier to manage now.

I don't even climb up the hill anymore. If you stay next to the hill, you're only exposed from one side.

This one is my favorite. This clown kills me with an SMG and then stays there thinking I'm going to come back.

Here is me paying Sledge back after he ended up on the other team and knew my favorite nesting spot... he tried to dance, but to no avail. XD

Here is the power of the ACE-53 SV... that guy had to be pissed when it showed him what I killed him with. LOL

Now for what I'm really good at... Killing choppers with an RPG:

COD will now have exoskeletons like in the movie Elysium.. Ok.. That could be cool, but aside from showing a bunch of stuff exploding, there was no reveal about what the actual plot of this game is. I'm guessing the USA invades another country? COD Advanced Warfare is being released on the all the old gen systems, so even though this trailer was from Xbox One, I'm guessing the multiplayer will be the exact same game again as Black Ops 2 and Ghosts. Same thing, new maps, some new weapons, still 6 vs. 6.. the only thing that could be different for the multiplayer this time is if they have wall climbing and large jumps. I'll pass on buying this game until I read reviews for the campaign, because I doubt I'll be interested in this multiplayer.

Battlefield 4 and Star Wars Battlefront will be my multiplayer games of choice. Nothing beats teamwork. I'd rather have teamwork over never ending TDM any day of the week.

Titanfall looks good from what I've seen of it, but they set themselves pretty high.. Titanfall 2 will have to be a better game, because if they release a sequel that is basically the same game again with 1 extra titan and different maps, they'll set themselves on the same course COD is on now.

The best advice I can give you is to spot an enemy so they get that little red triangle. Aim for the dead center of that triangle and take a shot, if you miss, then aim just a bit higher and keep repeating. Either snipe other snipers at long distance because they are usually prone and good targets, or aim towards a flag. You can aim directly at the flag, find out the distance the flag is from you, then hit the down d pad until you are zero'ed in. If the flag is 300 meters away, stay in that area, set you rifle to 300 and aim dead center at the enemy triangle for a headshot. Another tip.. you can scope in on a team mate and see how far away they are too, set your rifle for that distance and start shooting at enemies near that guy.

Thats an interesting method. I usally see where the bullet hits and adjust elevation from there. Sniping someone on the move is satisfying but really difficult unless they are headed towards or away from you in a straight line. Hitting snipers and flag cappers is the way to go. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing your bullet drop straight into a small puff of red when you score that headshot. lol

The best place to snipe is Hainan Resort. If you start on the Chinese side you just have to walk until you see the resort, prone and set your scope distance to 300 or 400. I cant remember which, but once you get the right one you should pop skulls camping the top of the resort with dead center crosshairs . I've gone 9-15 kills in a match without dying. You wont get much XP, but you'll do some damage to your sniper rifle progression. You just have to watch out for chopper/jet ditchers that get on top of that rusted ship... but if you keep an eye on that too you should take anyone out with ease becuase they are pretty exposed. I think the scope has to be set to 200 for that location.

I marked it on the map... I think. Its been a while.

, when you're ripping off Halo you really have sunk to the bottom (don't get me wrong I have always liked the Halo series but that's just low).

The one thing I hate about BF is bullet drop. Yes I got spoiled in COD but I honestly cannot snipe in BF with that freaking bullet drop and that's the one thing I really love to do in FPS games. I just can't figure out how to judge my distance and aim appropriately (and yes I have practiced in the test range and I'm damn good in the test range, in actual gameplay I suck). That's my only complaint about BF and it's minor at best since I do love the DMR's (yea I don't get it either but I can snipe perfectly with a DMR) and LMG's.

The teamwork and various ways to gain xp are what make BF so enjoyable for me. I love that if all I want to do is drop ammo boxes, med kits, blow tanks up, or survey the land I can and I get credit for doing so. This is what cemented my love for Bad Company when I first played it (outside of the hilarious SP). I wasn't being stuck into specific roles, I could evolve to the situation and do what was best for my team (instead of being a corner camper and pissing off people (like DX )).

I honestly do hope this game does well, more so for Sledgehammer's own success. Development studios have been closing left and right and I'd really hate to see another one go especially for a shitty COD game.

I have to laugh when COD fanboys try to bash battlefield, and they do it for 2 reasons. The first is that they've never played it before, and the second is because they completely suck at it. Their 12 year old pride get the best of them because they cant go 40-3, and they don't find it fun. If you've never played a BF game before, you're gonna suck pretty hard the first time you jump in. (I'll never forget how bad I was in BF2) It takes time to develop skill, and the beautiful thing is that you create your own play style that suits you best to be successful. The game focuses on teamwork instead of running around gunning down everyone. You could have the least kills on the team and finish with the top score and most xp because you supported teammates and played the objective. Quickscoping yields a 20% success rate at best, you can't outgun someone with a DMR using an SMG from long range, and you have to account for bullet drop... a COD fanboy's nightmare.

COD and BF really aren't even comparable to me, but Titanfall is in that same category. Even with less game modes and less weapons, its a crap ton more fun than COD has ever been since COD4. After looking at an IGN article I see there is cloaking as well... I would say thats ripping off Titanfall... but its actually just ripping off Halo. lol

Considering how good Ghosts looked in trailers and then how bad the actual game was (I have friends who bought and absolutely hate Ghosts MP, some have said the SP is alright) I'm reserving all judgement until we see actual in-game footage and gameplay videos. Even if it does interest me I'll most likely still not buy it, I'm done giving Activision money for the same game with different skins.

I'm not a fan of this 3 studio thing, the market is already over saturated with FPS games and not to mention with COD games. Activision is literally shooting themselves in the foot with the COD every year motif they've been following. You don't give your fans time to invest in any game since the next one is just a year away. Doesn't give you enough time to enjoy the game you just bought. Plus quality is really starting to fall in COD games, I've watched live streams on Ghosts and I'm quite honestly far from impressed with the multiplayer. They all still follow the COD4 motif and do very little to distinguish the game from one of the best FPS games I've ever played (I'll always love COD4 but since MW2 I have lost all interest in playing COD, hell the first Black Ops was a disappointment for me).

This is why Battlefield does so well, not only is the game more solid in terms of gameplay but DICE doesn't release one every year also. Fans appreciate this as it gives them time to play the game, invest in the MP, and actually enjoy it until said time when the next one comes out. Plus lets face it, the multiplayer in BF is so much more fun.

Here is the trailer for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. This will be the first COD game on the new 3 year developmental cycle. It will be the first entry done solely by the studio Sledgehammer who enters the fray along side Infinity Ward and Treyarch. While COD: Ghosts sold relatively well, it saw a 30% drop from Black Ops 2. Black Ops 2 came after what could be considered the worst game in the series (MW3) in which both IW and Sledgehammer had a part in. While Ghosts goes on a DLC gimmick frenzy containing Michael Myers and Predator in hopes of bolstering interest, time will tell what is causing the declining interest in Call of Duty. Between the fanbase there are some who are loyal to certain studios that produce the game. Ghosts lack of sales could have been due to a disdain of MW3 as Black Ops 2 still broke previous sales records. It could be another two years before we find out if the series as a whole is getting stale among hardcore player. Even if Advance Warfare fails to beat the previous year, it could be possible most are waiting on Black Ops 3.
This new entry is beyond what any COD has done by the looks of it. One can only see the subtle similarities to Titanfall. There may not be mechs and parkour, but super jumps, and climbing buildings without the need of ladders is certainly eyebrow raising. Then again the trailer is only for the solo campaign, and judgement should be reserved for the multiplayer reveal.

I was completely pleased with the season finale. Floki was awesome. Thinking back on this season.. everything Siggy told Horik about the value of knowing your friend's weaknesses, her desire to regain her position as an Earl's wife, etc.. she played him from the beginning. She practically told him that she was gathering intel on him.. and then she says to Rollo that everything she did, she did for him. By ensuring that Ragnar would eventually become king, Rollo would be in a position to become Earl, thus securing her regained status. She was never on Horik's side. Or if she was playing both sides, she knew who was the correct choice. The things she did to get Horik's trust were extreme, but his biggest mistake was telling her to kill Ragnar's kids and his knife was all the physical proof Ragnar needed to justify killing him. The entire setup for the final confrontation was great. Horik's wife was preparing to join a slaughter only to get destroyed by Lagertha. But Ragnar's one guy told her to leave so she wouldn't have to deal with the daughter issue. Ragnar was probably never even drunk, just like his one guy never died. Horik was completely surprised and got what he deserved. Floki.. most of the episode I thought he was about to kill Bjorn, but he was completely watching over him. When he told Horik on the beach "I decided who I want to kill".. it was Horik himself and he never saw it coming. And in the end, Ragnar went ballistic on Horik's corpse. Brutal.

The article makes a bigger deal out of the more slender and longer legs... really, they were always slender with long legs... they may be a bit thinner, but I attribute it to an updated art style. Sailor Moon is pretty old... its going to look a little different... Rei does look a little too thin in her Sailor Mars outfit, I will give them that.

I was glad to see Athelstan return... and I was also happy that Ragnar told him he wanted him to come back. Athelstan may be struggling with religion, but through it all he can see one thing clearly... As a monk he was a slave, under Ecbert he was a slave, threatened with death.... but with Ragnar he is a free man. Ragnar respects him... it goes back to when he left him in charge of his kids while he and Lagertha went on a raid. He saw Athelstan's moral standards and trusted him... respect came after... perhaps Ragnar is Atheist as well? Its hard to tell because the series visually despicts that both religions are alive between Athelstan's Christianity allusions and Odin's crows. Ragnar at the least has a more liberal view on the gods... this became evident when he asked Athelstan on this faith and replied that he wished for his gods and Athelstan's god to be friends one day. Ragnar is looking outside the box and this is what is causing Floki to lose respect for Ragnar on the surface.... but you never know with Floki.

Ecbert is the exact opposite of Horik. He knows what he is doing and has balls of steel while doing it. He's smart and patient. I really like this character. He's turning out to be a great villain, but its hard to hate him because he has yet to do anything really despicable yet.

Horik once again proves his inability to lead, this time on the battlefield. Ragnar knew they were walking into a trap and Horik lead them right into it... and then blamed it on the gods rather than admit Ragnar was correct in wanting to wait. He acts like a spoiled brat, even at the negoiating table. Thankfully Lagertha is stepping in to make things happen. The deal Ecbert set forth is a pretty sweet deal even if you take away everything that has happened between the first time him and Ragnar met. It wouldn't surprise me if Horik pulls a Haraldson and wants all of the proceeds even though he had nothing to do with brokering the deal.

Princess Kwenthrith is who Bjorn must marry as foreseen by the seer... I wonder if he can handle her whorebag nature.

The exchange between Ragnar and Floki on his trustworthiness was epic. It will certainly be put to the test in the season finale, along with Siggy's inner conflict... if she does this, Rollo will never forgive her and it would not be worth it.
