Always make a note of the the ounce count on things that you buy regularly when its measured as such. Just about everything has gotten smaller over the past 5 years. Juice, Cereal, and frozen products most notably. They've gotten exceptionally clever in hiding downsized product. Every time there is a complete package/bottle redesign I make sure to look at the old version and compare it to what came in. For example, if you ever see those Tai-pei single serve fried rice meals in your frozen food section, they use to be shaped like the take out boxes you get from Chinese restaurants. Now they are in an oblong oval cup with a lid. They actually look bigger and feel bigger in the hand, but they went from 14oz to 10oz. You can Google image search Tai-Pei right now and see both boxes since this change just took place 3-4 months ago. Seeing as I deal with these products every day, I notice it, but if I didn't work in a grocery store I probably never would. Cereal is by far the worst offender of them all. Most of the cereal boxes these days are a joke. They might hold 3-4 bowls max. I remember as a kid eating 3-4 bowls of coco puffs in one sitting and the box lasting a whole week at least. Really old school cerreals like Cracklin' Oats are in super tiny boxes that may have 2 servings and they still cost $4-5... probably because it still has real ingredients in it. Even Malt-O-Meal knock off bags are way smaller than back in the day. About the only product you can rely on to stay the same size is cheese. People are willing to pay higher prices for the same amount regardless. Plus there is a crazy amount of options and competition. We've gone from a world dominated by store brand and Kraft, to a Renaissance of higher tier offerings like Cracker Barrel, Cabot, Borden, Sargento, Laughing Cow, Babybel, etc. The one trend that has died over the years and I hope it never comes back is the diet flavor of the year. A long time ago I remember stupid diets getting hot and we'd get all this garbage product that no one would buy, and it would all be discontinued when the popularity died off. South Beach Diet had a ton of frozen dinners, and other things. Atkins had frozen dinners, juices, yogurts, cheeses, I mean the store was loaded with that crap. The week he died, it all got discontinued and marked down for close out.

I'm not sure. I mean I can adjust the settings manually. I can turn the head lights off for sure, but I'll have to check on the LED day lights. I think those might stay on regardless.   The CVT is really nice. I've read the technology had a rough start, at least for some american car makers. Honda's is one of the best. I've read its cheaper to maintain in case something goes wrong because its belts and pulleys rather than a giant tube of gears you have to completely disassemble just to see what's wrong.

I got the Civic. I was willing to pay a lot more for it than the VW. I hate car buying with a passion, but it seems a lot of dealerships have toned down their aggressiveness these days. My sales person was a young black lady that was really nice. It was a bit different from the usual white lanky guy with a cheesy grin that I'm use to getting. Maybe they take this approach now so you'd feel bad for beating up the sales rep with hardball. She was 21, and I knew more about the technical details of the car than she did. After she went over the obvious features, I started overwhelming her with questions about the CVT transmission and other mechanical aspects of the car.   I was a bit irritated at first because their webiste along with cargurus had the car listed at $21,870, but when I got to the dealership it was more like $23,500 with stupid dent protection and stuff. I cut to the chase and said I didn't need any of it. I don't plan on reselling this car for at least a decade if ever. It's going to get dents. I was able to talk them down to $20,000 OTD. I went in with the mindset to get it for $19,500 at maximum, but I really wanted this car and they beat my credit union's APR so I financed with them as well so they'll get their $23-24k after interest in the end. It was time to pull the trigger because I know the fed is going to raise interest rates soon, especially with the stock market finally slipping in anticipation.   This car drives like a dream. Its super responsive and has a lot of get up and go. Its very quiet on the inside. The only drawback is that the sound system is pretty shit. No bass... it's the first car I've had with the base model sound system. It's not that big of a deal because I listen to talk radio most of the time anyways. I'm not use to all these fancy features like rear back up cam, that I'll never use because I'm too old school and I'll still twist my neck and look back. I realize how bad my Mustang's suspension got when I drove over the little speed grooves on my way home and didn't even feel them in my new car. I've also driven about 30 miles and the gas meter hasn't budged.   As for my Mustang. I'll donate it to a local charity that gives them to disabled vets. They'll take it and fix it up and give it to someone that is in need that served our country. I feel like that is a good cause to put it towards.

No not yet. Hopefully this Wednesday. Its a 30 min drive on the interstate and my current car isn't interstate worthy anymore. My family is my ride across the bay, but they've had the flu all week, and I'm trying not to get it myself. Its been a real bad epidemic in this city.

Hopefully I'll be able to get the Golf Wednesday if any are still there. I got preapproved for a loan at 1.99% APR for 60 months. The only problem is the Credit Union i chose for this rate is living in the stone age and doesn't do any type of electronic transmissions so I'm going to have to go back and forth with the bill of sale and then I'll have to drive up there to make payments... but no one else can touch 1.99% unless its like 34 months. Otherwise its like 2.5%. It'll be worth the inconvenience since its by my house and across the street from my job.

They were pretty similar cars when you got yours, Civic has really stepped up its game, while the Corolla has fallen behind. Its pretty impressive how much Honda has packed into this car. Someone I went to school with got one recently and noted he opted for the Civic over the Accord because it had more to offer. Its actually more luxurious than the Golf, but the Golf has more driving performance. I've never been too big on luxury, but whatever I can get the best deal on between the two is what I'll go with. Right now there is a pretty decent deal on a Golf, but I have to wait for my tax return to come so I can get a good down payment.

Yeah that's a crazy deal. You only get a 90 day 5000 mile warranty for a used car around here. You're pretty much up shit creek if something goes wrong after that, which pretty much did on my Mustang. When it comes to American cars, it seems they're all built to break down after 70k miles, unless its a truck, those things last forever but they also cost $45-80k. My dad has a F150 with like 300k miles on it and its still going strong. Hes just had to replace some hoses and belts that dry rotted from being so old and worn. I've never been a truck fan, I like to be low to the ground and nimble. While trucks last a long time, the maintenance is still more expensive. Tires are astronomically more expensive and you still need to replace them with the same frequency. Gas mileage is subpar and to fill up is double or triple depending on your tank.

Nah, it was a tradition for SAW 1-7, I asked off for it to keep it going.
Sunshine was amazing, they'll probably never port it unless it came with a special gamecube controller. The water jets were button pressure sensitive, and all 3 consoles ditched that tech this generation.

Yea, I'll be watching Stranger Things starting Sunday since I'm out of work until the 9th now. Nah, I don't have Amazon Prime ($100 a year is a lot to pay when I rarely order anything from Amazon (besides the occasional CD but I've gone almost completely digital with music so I buy mostly digital albums now), not to mention how many other subscriptions/services I pay for (subbed to two MMO's, subbed to two Twitch streamers, CR sub, Netflix sub, and a PSN sub)) but I've heard of Orphen Black. I'd really like to see it but tis the joy of everyone having their own fucking streaming service now instead of consolidating it in one place like it used to be (I really miss the days when Netflix was the only sub service).
I highly recommend Black Mirror though I suggest you don't binge watch it. If you really want to go ahead but I suggest enjoying the series and drawing it out as long as you can (it's only 13 episodes for 3 seasons with 6 more on the way sometime this year), give yourself time between episodes to dwell and think about the episode(s) watched and think about the message being said. I watched two episodes a day up until S3 when I did 3 eps a day (really wish I would of just watched 2 a day to draw it out longer). My only real complaint is how short the series is currently but then again I should be used to it based on how many British series I've watched. Really hoping they do a season 5 after 4 is finished.

Fuck my old mattress was fucking amazing, sadly it went to hell in about 5 years (I spend a lot of time in my room since it's where everything of mine is located so you can about imagine how much time I spend on my bed (between gaming, watching anime/movies, reading, and up until recently playing games on the laptop)). Only mattress I was able to sleep soundly on (and it was only $500 or so) but I had to get rid of it two years ago because it was really starting to kill my back. My current one isn't bad (I went a little firmer than my old one, still comfy and still a pillow top but it's not the same) but I'd kill to get another mattress like my old one (don't remember what brand it was and we don't have similar mattress places like the one in Arizona where I bought it).
I'd really love one of those Sealy mattresses but fuck are they expensive. One of these days I'll have one

Heh, I sleep with a pillow between my legs/knees as well. It's really good for managing back pain if you suffer from it as it keeps your spine straighter (and it's actually a lot more comfortable too, my knees used to hurt in the morning when I didn't use one. Now they don't). Sadly my back has been killing me over the last few days since I can't sleep like I normally do (this inclined sleeping fucking sucks. Hopefully tomorrow night I'll be able so sleep normally again (pain is mostly gone so lying on my left side shouldn't be a problem, right side will still be an issue for awhile)).

Honestly I haven't found anything that works for side sleeping pillow wise. I've always preferred softer pillows over firm ones because firm ones generally give me headaches if I lay my head on them to long. Currently I sleep with three pillows on the bed (when I sleep normally, considering I can't sleep on my side atm I've been sleeping at an incline with a shit ton of pillows stacked behind me (sucks because it's extremely uncomfortable but I'm sleeping a lot better then I ever have)) one of which is mid-range softness (main pillow), one that's firm, and one that's extremely soft. I tend to favor my left side over my right so the softer pillow is on the left side to support the main pillow when I sleep on said side (I use my left arm as extra support, oddly enough it has not caused any issues as of yet). The firmer support pillow is on the right side and is the only support I use when sleeping on my right side (for some reason using my right arm as support doesn't work so well so I don't). It's an odd sleeping arrangement but it's the only thing that was working over the last few years.

Yea I remember that and can only imagine the pain he went through. This shit is no joke and I'm glad I caught in when I did, the surgeon said it probably would of burst had I waited any longer. It's just funny how I was perfectly fine that morning (I've been sick all week so I wasn't 100% ok but I didn't have pain), went to work and about 5 hours in I just felt a stabbing pain in my side. Honestly had my mother not convinced me to go I probably wouldn't have and waited until shit got worse. I should watch House, take lessons and the proper way to pop Vicadin
Ouch is an understatement DX >.>
Also found out I have Sleep Apnea (one of the worst cases my surgeon and nurses have seen apparently) as well which means I get to go back to the doctor for confirmation testing some time soon (yay, because I oh so love spending the night at the hospital). Man when shit hits the fan with me it hits hard.

All I have to say is Tom, you know what I mean (it's the only part of Fellowship I actually enjoyed outside of Moria, I really wish they would of put him in the movie). Everything else before the Council meeting could pretty much be left out (I could care less about how many meals a Hobbit has in a day or how a proper Hobbit should live). Don't get me wrong I love Tolkien's work and I love how he crafted an entire world in just 3 books (technically LotR is one book just split in three) but seriously I don't need all this set-up just for it not to mean a damn thing in the next two novels (as much as I love the Ents they're probably the only real downside to The Two Towers (though they do redeem themselves).
I honestly can't believe people actually thought that. "Fly" has more than one meaning, get a fucking dictionary people. The context it's said in is a dead giveaway as to what he meant because how the fuck do you fly out of a mine (with a Balrog on your ass at that). As much as Tolkien is great at alluding to certain things in his books there is no denying he meant "run for your fucking lives" and not "fly on the backs of eagles". Nerds will never cease to amaze me (yes I say that knowing full well I am one).

I finished the Siren's Landing JP tonight, and it actually wasn't bad at all. It had one of my least favorite things in landing on precise slim poles, but I some how made every landing. There are two check points marked by waterlogged chests. Since you got to cheat on the Searing Accent without having to use them, they work by special action key if you fall, you can just use it to teleport back to the chest. I think if you die it goes away though. But there shouldn't be any reason to die since you can glide. The second and last check point is half way through the JP though so you basically have to do half of it with the most pole jumps between that and the end. I did it on my DD, when I normally do these on my mesmer for portal insurance. I was brave. You should def portal scroll your mes since the JP is right near the start. Either way it was the least frustrating next to the Doric puzzle if you can call that a JP. I actually did most of it by myself only referring to the dulfy video when I wasn't 100% sure.

God I'd love to have a cat/kitten but like both of you I'm allergic (and not mildly, I've almost been run to the hospital more than once due to an allergic reaction brought on by a cat). It fucking sucks because cats adore me and always come near me (and I have to pet them because KITTY!). I am thinking of getting a Siberian in the future though pending on whether I can handle their fur or not (they're one of the 5 breeds that don't set off most people allergies that are allergic to cats. Sadly they're also $1200 for a kitten from a breeder).
I can handle dogs fine (though I am mildly allergic). It's a good thing because I get stuck watching my parents dog quite a bit (cute little scamp but annoying as all hell).

Wow. I can bury my face in my dog's fur no problem. Cats love me though, they always try to get on my shoulders and rub on my face. A few of my friends have them and they always come sit in my lap and cuddle when I come over. When I wore contacts I'd wash my hands super thoroughly, and rinse my contacts extra long... but sometimes it didn't matter somehow. I'd pop one in and the veins shot across my eye like a Hollywood earthquake movie fault-line. I'd take it out fast enough and rinse it some more, but my eye would be pink and irritated for a good 30 min to an hour.
