  1. I don't know about 6 years.. not with Square Enix's track record of Kingdom Hearts. All the Kingdom Hearts games.. sure theres 1, 2, 3... and 20 more. But if we consider the entire thing to be one complete game and not endless sequels then it took Square Enix 18 years to finish Kingdom Hearts. XD Kingdom Hearts took so long, children were born and turned into adults by the time they finished it. XD I figure FF7 Remake will be like that but not in that scope. We'll probably get a handful of sequels to finish it up but not 20.

  2. Lol. I read the physical releases sold out and people have been jacking up the prices to gouge people out of their money. Its still the regular price digitally on the PSN store. Yeah it is roughly 10% of the original game, but they made that 10% with alot of additional content to make it into the equivalent of a full game on its own. I'm enjoying the hell out of it. Since you played the original you'd actually see alot of new content you've never seen before. And this game is drastically different than the original aside from the plot. Graphics, gameplay, fight mechanics, etc. I'm disappointed the entire game isn't done, but for being part one its a solid game. At this rate it'll take like another 2 years at least for the next part to come out. Kind of reminds me of how StarCraft 2 was launched with only the human campaign and then they sold the remaining two campaigns as separate releases over a couple more years for almost full price too. I think FF7 Remake will end up being different from the original game in terms of overall storyline, I can't confirm yet since I haven't beaten it though. If you're going to wait for the full game to be completely done, you'll have to wait probably another 10 years. XD And the final part will come out on the PS6. XD

I was browsing slickdeals this morning and came across this free copy of Luminar 3. I think its supposed to be the equivilant of photoshop? Put your email in the form and it'll send you a link to download the program and an activation key. I haven't tried the program yet, but it did send me the link and activation key. It looks like its a promo to sell their new version Luminar 4. I'll try the free Luminar 3 this week and see how I like it. It should be better than using the free online photoshop clones that run in browsers.

Unconfirmed source has it that corona has been spreading since semptember of last year and as early as november here in the States. And like many, showing corona like symptoms, i was sick for 3 days in January, with body chills, chest pains, and some headaches but no fever. and lingering dry cough that lasted for 2 months.. but we'll never know if it was or not and take this seriously as it passes like other respiratory viruses slow down during warm weather.

In addition, many people might have had the illness before the first reported case in Onondaga County on March 16, Anderson said. The virus likely reached Central New York in late January or February, she said. Upstate saw an increase in late February of patients with symptoms similar to COVID-19, she said.

“People began presenting with upper respiratory illnesses right around the time when influenza cases went down,” she said. “We’ll never know for sure, but we think that was a sign of an uptick in (COVID-19) cases.”

Looks like the theory of "we had this in January" is becoming more real. It's a shame theres no antibody testing or even accurate antibody testing to actually confirm this. I'd like to get tested to see if I already had it or not since i was sick back in january.

In other news, Smithfield had to close a huge pork processing plant and we might have a shortage of pork soon.

CNBC: Receiving SSI benefits? You will get your coronavirus stimulus payment automatically, government says.

    https://www.cnbc.com/2020/04/15/ssi-beneficiaries-will-get-coronavirus-stimulus-payments-automatically.html

Turns out they wont need to fill out that IRS form after all. The only ppl that need to use that form now are SSI, SSA, SSDI, VA ppl that don't file taxes, but have a kid under 18 they could claim as a dependent if they actually had to file taxes. That way those ppl can get an extra $500 per dependent. I think anyone that already filled out the online form just pushes them to the top of the list for getting it sent out faster.

  6. I got my stimulus funds deposited to my checking account today. Keep an eye on your bank accounts, I think everyone that has direct deposit should be having it deposited by 04/17/2020?

People who do not file taxes have to fill out a form to get their stimulus.. People who receive social security benefits do not have to fill out the form unless they have children they could technically claim as dependents if they had to file taxes.

If you receive these benefits, we already have your information and you will receive $1,200. Do not use this application if you receive:

Social Security retirement, disability (SSDI), or survivor benefits

    Railroad Retirement and Survivor Benefits

As far as I know, people on SSI have to fill out the form on that IRS link to get the money ASAP. If not you're supposed to still get it, but who knows when?

Americans who didn't have a tax liability in 2018 or 2019, veterans beneficiaries, and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients should use the new tool if they want to get paid as soon as possible. If you can wait, the IRS also said it's working on a simpler solution to pay people who receive benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs or SSI.

    https://www.businessinsider.com/personal-finance/irs-new-tool-for-non-tax-filers-fast-stimulus-payments-2020-4

I have two family members on SSI, so I guess they'll fill out the form.

  7. Maybe the governments are keeping the lockdown in place longer than we thought it would because they have info they're not releasing to the public? I don't know. Covid19 seems to be going through my county now. 500 cases within a 40 minute driving distance of house now. The liquor store I used to go to had an employee with it and it sounds like hes already recovered. One of the hospitals in this area are saying they recommend everyone continuing social distancing and lockdown through the entire summer because the new projections show that the new peak from flattening the curve will hit around June/July (orange line in the graph).

Our health care sucks ass. No wonder China made a bunch of new hospitals. They increased health care capacity to get the curve over with faster with higher infection rates while the US has to sit idle for 5 months because theres no way in hell the US will make some new hospitals to care for patients in such a short span of time to be beneficial. They'd have to make temporary hospitals and staff them in like a week or two to rush open the economy. The US can't even fix a pot hole in a timely manner let alone open up temporary hospitals in hot spots. Meanwhile other parts of the country are probably barely getting hit with it right now and they're all sitting idle in preparation because they don't have accurate tests yet? Maybe if these tests can get out all over the country we can open this all back up alot sooner. As far as I know its still like a 5 day wait to get test results around here.

*moves this post into Covid-19 topic since its more fitting there*

  8. I noticed materia doesn't spawn new ones when they get maxed out. That seems ok since they are almost all available for purchasing as extras from vendors. The flow of the game is great, and unlike the original game theres no need to go around grinding out random battles to increase levels for a hard boss fight. Although, aside from one small training area that kept respawning 3 sentries, there doesn't seem to be anywhere that respawns enemies to grind out xp from anyway. I'm only about 10 hours in if that, I just got a second summon materia and a new gun for Barret that I didn't get the chance to equip yet. This is one of the most beautiful games I've seen so far. I read there might be a PC release and I could only imagine how much better it could potentially look on a multi thousand dollar gaming rig.

BTW, after that first mako reactor bombing, pretty much the entire story is new/padded out. Aside from the first bike scene, which was fucking awesome :D, everything else I've done never happened in the original game, like after the mako reactor bombing, that was the extent of Jesse, Biggs and Wedge involvement. They were literally only in the original game for around that first hour and that was it. Which is kind of odd, considering the original game was a solid 50-80 hour experience, but for this remaster they're adding way more content that never happened. I'm guessing the full remake will have an overall different plot than the original by the time its all done (like the walking dead show being different from the comic source material) because at this rate they'd need at least 10 of these games to cover everything from the original game. I'm not complaining though, I'm thoroughly enjoying this experience. :D

As you level up, the materia levels up and you get upgraded spells or abilities, Fire 2, Fire 3.. and your character learns the spells permanently as they level up, once leveled up, equip that materia on another character and they get instant access to all those spells from that leveled up piece of materia, then they start learning those spells permanently. Same with summons and ability materia.

I got this part confused with Final Fantasy 6. Once I actually got materia in FFVII Remake I remembered it correctly. FF6 had permanent learning per character. In FF7 it's only the materia that gets leveled up to unlock more abilities, but once the materia hit max level it'll spawn a new duplicate materia that is level 1 so you can level it up again for another character.

So far I'm loving the game. The graphics are amazing and the voice acting is pretty much how I expected the characters to sound like. Combat is great. Every enemy has weaknesses that need to be exploited to speed up the combat. Like riot guys and those melee guys I forget their names, hit them with fire or swap to punisher mode, block and wait for them to attack to auto counter and follow up with a focused thrust to stagger them and finish them off. The first boss from the demo was way easier this time around because when it got to the heal phase I threw a grenade from my inventory at its left leg and instant destroyed it, swapped to barrett for a focused shot to the other leg to destroy it and the boss melted quick after that. It helped alot that I was using R3 to target the specific legs. It made the combat easier. And Cloud punisher mode is damn good damage but is definitely hindered by the lack of mobility which seems like a good balance.

I got my cactuar summon off once. The summons only seem to kick in if a fight lasts too long. Then they just run around doing their own thing. I forgot to use an ATB charge to force an ability so the cactaur just ran around like a lunatic end only did 2 hp of damage until it ran out and did its 10,000 needle? Attack. Lol. That ? At the end is because it's a chance it could do that 10k damage. Lol. I think the odds of that happening are like winning the lotto. XD

  10. Yep its out today. The bosses might seem to take so long because nobody has solid strategies for beating them yet. I dunno. The Yongyea review said the developers changed up the plot near the end, but he didn't spoil it. But it should have an impact on how the story is apparently being changed from the original game for the follow up sequels. Check out his review in the yongyea topic. Also, if you haven't played the demo yet, give it a try. It's a solid hour of gameplay so you can see if you like it or not.

  11. They marketed this movie completely wrong and the trailer was garbage that didn't portray the movie correctly. I'd almost say their own production company wanted it to fail. It was a great movie and I thoroughly enjoyed it. They should have never called this movie Birds of Prey. It was completely a Harley Quinn movie from beginning to end. The Birds of Prey team up didn't happen until the end of the movie and even then that wasn't what they were. The small team of them at the end formed the group and slight spoiler the group doesn't even include Harley Quinn. Worst name for a movie. It's like calling a new Batman movie Teen Titans, but the entire movie is about Batman and the barely developed side characters form up their Teen Titans group at the end for 1 fight scene and after that scene it's just Batman again in another scene or 2.. but that one fight scene makes it a Teen Titans movie? Wtf. The movie should have been called "Harley Quinn" and that's it.

The trailer didn't explain anything about the movie either. It's basically around 1 1/2 hours of Harley Quinn character development with alot of great fight scenes, dark humor and Harley Quinn shenanigans while introducing side characters leading up to a finale. Highly enjoyable movie with great pacing. Margot Robbie did a great job with her character.

My main gripe is that they didn't show the back of the controller. It obviously has buttons back there, or else there would have been no issue showing it. Instead we got the ole "We'll show you more later" at the end.

I didn't even think about that but you're right. I don't get why they didn't show it off. Odd. I hope the controller comes in a dark blue/black or all black variation.

  13. Thats a good review. I'm getting even more hyped for FFVII. I'm a bit worried now about what he said about the ending.. If they're taking the plot in a different direction, I hope its a good one.

  14. With the way Covid19 has wrecked this country, everything Bernie was running on would have never been funded. If he couldn't get enough turnout to win the primaries, theres no way he could have gotten the numbers to actually win the presidency. I don't blame him for dropping out at this point, the next four years after Covid19 is not going to be a pleasant presidency.

    New prediction for 2021...

First off, National debt numbers from the official US government treasury website for reference.

    Obama years:

    https://treasurydirect.gov/NP/debt/search?startMonth=01&startDay=20&startYear=2009&endMonth=01&endDay=20&endYear=2017

$19,947,304,555,212.49 at the peak when he left office.

Pretty much the last 4 years of Obama's presidency I considered the "No" years. No major legislation that I can think of passed because congress said "No" to pretty much everything to stonewall everything. Biggest reason.. national debt.. theres no money, etc.

Trump years so far up to 04/08/2020:

    https://treasurydirect.gov/NP/debt/search?startMonth=01&startDay=20&startYear=2017&endMonth=04&endDay=08&endYear=2020

    $24,011,523,316,653.36

The national debt never went down. Its done nothing but gone up. And as far as I know these numbers do not include the recent stimulus packages funds.

Jobs and employment went up with Trump in office, but the main reason for that is because of all the corporate tax breaks. Since corporations got significant tax breaks, they could keep their stock holders happy and keep employment up because they didn't need to cut jobs to increase revenue. Sounds great, but at the same time the burden for that money is now on the government. The debt has continued to go up since those tax breaks where enabled. The debt is so high now that it far exceeds the "No" years of Obama. But for Trump, it was like an endless spending bonanza.. not direct spending, but instead it was basically running up the credit of the country as a whole to pad the numbers for the rest of the country.

    Prediction:

Now that the debt is at the highest its ever been (still not counting the multiple Covid19 stimulus), the next four years of whoever is going to be president is going to have to make drastic course corrections. Even if we get the economy back up an running in a few months and things look on the upside, the overall debt will be so high they'll have to change the tax laws again. Companies that were enjoying all those lucrative tax reductions will now get hit with higher taxes again in an already destroyed economy and to try to boost stock values, they'll shutter multiple locations across the country. I'm predicting huge unemployment numbers for 2021 and on for years. If that doesn't happen, then maybe the tax laws stay the same and the US just keeps printing endless money and eventually Dollar stores will have to change their brand to $10 stores because of the massive inflation.

  15. Any of the few friends I actually considered friends from high school are all still friends with me on facebook even if we don't actually talk much on there if at all. As for other friends or foes, I haven't looked up any of them. I know Lady had some friends that have passed away over the years that she found out about from other people or old friends.

a teller sat on a window said this lane is for business only but was really nice about it telling me i should use the tube next time. i googled it and said it existed for years! so yeah i feel bleh for not knowing but i never used a drive through before so haha 😂

XDXDXD I've used those tubes for 20 years. XD btw, I don't know about your bank, but every bank I'm part of has check deposit right at the ATM so you don't even have to use a tube. Put your card in, type in the pin# and the ATM screen has a deposit option, click that, then it tells you to have your checks signed and does an animation for what direction to feed the checks into the slot. It sucks the check in, shows the deposit info on the screen and will even print a small receipt with the image of the check on it. :D My banks and credit union also have apps that let me deposit checks by being logged into the account and taking pics of the check. I haven't talked to a person at my bank in over a year.

i thought AC disabled sigs long time ago lol!! i forgot what mine was anyway. its either ryoko or relena 😛 im gonna check it out with ipad later. i see AC has some ads here and there so i dont wanna use my pc just incase its harmful

lol. Its Relena with watermarks all over it. 😛 The only ads on AC are only google ads and they're disabled for I think all logged in members regardless of rank now. The ad codes are out of date so they're probably not actual relevant ads, just generic ones.

If we need anything right now it's a Universal Union. Federal Government gives $2100 to everyone who is legally an adult. If your state thinks you should have more, like $2200, then they need to pay that entire amount. Otherwise it ends up being $2000 from the fed & 100 from your state. Now if a business want to hire you they then have to pay you more than the fed or your state would've. If that business decides to pay you less then that, that business would then have to pay a tax equal to the amount you would've gotten if you weren't working.

Interesting concepts about universal union and deflation taxes. On a side note, I googled Universal Union and it brought up results for the game Half-Life. 😲

I have a couple family members on SSI. The limitations with that system are dumb and counter productive. I had one family member making $700 a month on SSI, she worked a part time job. That job paid her like $100 a week. So instead of now having $1100 a month income, SSI deducts her pay from the $700 a month and paid only $300 a month to make sure she stayed at $700 a month total. It basically wants nobody to get ahead in life and stay perpetually in poverty. Might as well not work at all as a disabled person, keep the full benefits and no paper work/ tax filling. But that $2000 total assets is bullshit too. They don't even want anyone to be able to have a savings or they'll cut off money benefits. wtf. I found out it does not apply to home ownership as a house does not apply to that total. But if that same person took out a home equity loan to make house repairs and had that money in the bank and SSI found out, nope.. cash benefits either cut off or reduced significantly. wtf.
