  1. Its no secret I have an extremely poor diet consisting of mostly red meat and dairy products. XD But I have definitely cut back on sugar intake over the past couple of years. I'll still eat candy and sweets now and then, but I drink soda maybe a few times a year when something interesting comes out. (Like Dr. Pepper Cream Soda šŸ¤¤). I'll drink a glass or two of sweet tea when I go out to eat, and on holidays. But outside of that its coffee and water daily. I haven't put sugar in my coffee in probably 15 years. A few months ago I got into sparkling water because I miss soda, but at the same time I don't... I really don't enjoy it as much as I use too, but water gets awful boring sometimes. La Croix is fucking nasty, I already knew that well before this. But with the sudden explosion of new rivals I took a tour of whats available. Pepsi's Bubly is ok, The apple is probably my favorite out of all of them. Coke had Desani sparking water which was actually pretty good. The lime almost tasted like sprite... but they discontinued all of it for this new AHA shit with weird ass flavors. I tried Blueberry Pomegranate because it was the most normal one, and it seriously went flat before it even got room temp. I sat it down for a few minutes and when I took another sip all the carbonation was gone, wtf? San Pellegrino makes decent ones as well. But the best IMO is Perrier. I'd say Strawberry is the best, followed by Watermelon and Peach. It has a caveat though. There is something magical about the can. XD You have to drink it out of the can ice cold, and the flavor is good along with the different style carbonation (apparently it's natural). Once you pour it into a glass or get one of those plastic bottle versions, its not the same. It tastes flat and flavorless. Its very odd.

But anyways. I don't enjoy sweet drinks anymore at all outside of tea. Maybe its a mental thing because it bothers my acid reflux, but it all started with the alcohol I drank, I moved away from rum or anything mixed as I stopped liking sweet liquor. Then it just kinda carried over to my daily beverages. I treat the rare soda as a dessert now. I can't stomach more than 1 in a day. I have no idea how I use to throw back 3-4 a day when I was a teenager. XD:barf2:

  3. I ordered new RAM for my PC. 16 GB = two 8 GB chips. Its not a major name brand, but I bought it off amazon. Timetec brand RAM. Seems to have good reviews and it was $57. My PC uses DDR3 RAM and some of that seems pretty costly to me. Amazon seems to have everything counterfeit lately, so when I ordered, I chose, ship from Timetec directly instead of "fulfilled by amazon" I figure I'll get an unopened, unreturned, non counterfeit product that way. Good news is my PC has not crashed a single time for a solid 2 weeks so it was definitely my RAM. I re-installed a bunch of games and I'm enjoying my PC again.

That was like 6 months of bullshit with driver updates, windows update issues, crashes, hard ware tests, etc. I will never trust a memory test again. All results of the tests were completely fine. Those 2 sticks were definitely bad since I pulled them and never had a crash since. Running on only 6 GB right now compared to the 12 I was using, does seem to affect loading times. My PC is a little slower for booting and games take just a bit longer to boot up, but I haven't tried any games lately that require a decent amount of RAM, only Starcraft Remastered and GW2.

  4. #RIP my bank account in April. Not only does FFVII remake come out on my Bday, but the Trials of Mana remake and Sakura Wars comes out BOTH on the 24th and 28th. wtf. x_x I've been into a lot of Japanese games lately. After Ys: VIII, I've had an itch I've needed to scratch for old school style ARPGs. I picked up Tales of Berseria since it was on sale, and have been having a blast with it. I also still need to beat Astral Chain on Switch.Ā

  5. Been trying to up my soap game. I use to be a body wash person, but after obtaining some skin issues because bacteria can fester on those scrubbers, I swapped to good ole dial antibacterial stuff and it cleared it up in 2 days thankfully. My issue with bar soap is it doesn't last long, and you end up losing the last bit of it when it gets small and thin. I've been doing a lot of research and came a cross a few brands.

Dr. Squatch seems to be the most popular, but that's mostly due to marketing from reviews I've read. When it comes down too it, it seems to be overpriced soap that doesn't last long or even smell good.

AoS (Art of Sport) is another popular one, the reviews are mixed, but it seems to be pretty good for sweating. I'll def give this one a try in the future.

Duke Cannon makes gigantic bars of soap. It lasts a pretty long time and they smell pretty industrial/economy if you now what I mean? XD I can see myself buying it again. Right now I don't see anything beating it, but the size is a bit inconvenient to hold on to. XD It feels like it will break a toe if you drop it on your foot.

Next on my list though is Viking Revolution and No 63. I bought a bar of each off amazon to see what that's about. I have high hopes for No 63 because all the reviews said it lasts a crazy long time. That's mainly what I'm looking for. The smell is less important as no soap scent lasts more than an hour out of the bathroom, and even then someone needs to basically press their nostrils against your skin to smell it. That's what Cologne is for. Which is a whole other topic.

  7. I'm still getting PC crashes. I think its still my RAM, so I pulled another chip out and I'm testing it today. I've been having about 1-2 crashes a day lately and some days none, but the last 2 days its crashed 6-7 times each day. wtf. I'm down to 6gb of ram now assuming the 4 gb chip I pulled out was the bad one. I'd like to buy a new computer at this point, but if it is just the RAM causing these issues I'd be fine with dropping $50 or so on new memory. I just want my PC to be stable. x_x

  8. Got my taxes done yesterday. I hate doing taxes. x_x H&R Block software works good for me tho.

  9. Random thought. How much is too much? I remember when I was young, and my parents had adult social gathering with friends, there was Budwiser, Miller, and Coors. Maybe some others here and there. When I came of age the selection got a bit more vast. I don't really drink beer anymore as the constant pissing and bloating isn't worth the small buzz it provides. Holy cow today there is so many damn beers tho. Like 6000 IPAs alone. How do you even decide? Especially if you're as adventurous as someone like me. You'd never be able to settle on a favorite because you want to try something new too much. There is so much that I'd forget something I liked after trying 30 more beers over the course of months. It kinda reminds me of damn yogurt. When I started in the grocery business there was 3 types of yogurt. Breyer's Cream Savers, Yoplait, and store brand. Now there's a 20 foot section of yogurt at every store... and let me tell you... MILLIONS of dollars go in the garbage every year from it going out of date. Its the biggest food waste in America. Anyways. Overall I don't drink anywhere near as much as I use to and when I do its bourbon/whiskey only. I have my tried and true, but I'd always like to venture out and try something here and there when something new would appear on the shelf... but now Bourbon is the same way. XD WTF My curiosity gets the better of me and I've tried nothing but new stuff the last 3 bottles I've gotten the past year. They've all been pretty good, but nothing mind blowing. I'm going to pick up something new again tomorrow for the kick off of Season 2 for COD. I'll stand there like an idiot for 20 min trying to decide, knowing that I won't be back for another 2 months. By that time 10 new bourbons will be out. I don't know whether to complain about it or be happy that the market is so robust after there was apparently going to be a bourbon shortage according to some reports a few years ago. I don't, and I never will drink cheap. If I can't afford the good stuff I go without. And now that I go through a bottle every 2-3 months rather than 1 a week or two like in my 20s. XD I'm willing to spend even more per bottle. I tried some Prichard Bourbon last time, it was pretty good but had some sweet tones like brandy I didn't care for too much. I like my bourbon to be rough and tough with that good oaky taste that incinerates your sinuses upon hitting your tongue. XD Before that I had Clyde May's Alabama Whiskey which was really good. There are a lot of staples that are releasing new stuff I want to try unless its that fruit infused crap. Uh damn Millennials ruining alcohol with there fruit flavors. White Claw is an abomination of mankind and shouldn't exist. /endrant.

  12. I finished reading The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. I actually finished the book a month or two ago, and then started reading all the extra appendices at the end.. and that was alot of material. It was interesting to read about what happened after the movies ended and the eventualĀ end of Aragorn's life all those years upon years later. And all the extra info about the origins of middle earth and the different ages. I didn't finish the entire appendix, I got burned out on it since most of it doesn't read like a full story. Once I got to a section where it was showing large time lines of events, mostly from the original trilogy I stopped. It was a good chunk of info.

On a side note, the actual ending of LotR was in the shire with the hobbits raising a small hobbit army to defaut Saruman. lol. Who'd have ever seen that coming? XDĀ That wasn't in the movie. XDĀ

It doesn't work for smilies that start with a letter like "XD"

  20. Deep into my one and only mobile game, Facebook caught wind. šŸ™„ I've spent the past 2 weeks grinding out on Azur Lane. I've pretty much fallen in love with the simple little game. I enjoy the collecting, retrofitting, gearing, dorm managing and commissioning more than the actual missions. XDĀ  But now I get every shit shovelware ad for mobile games on my facebook feed. Kiss of War, Raid Shadow Legends, Epic Seven, Iron Saga. I wonder how much they actually add to their playerbase/funds from these? I don't choose to hide the ads because the comments section are gold with the mockery. Of course I only get these ads on my phone while on my PC i get FFXIV ads which I already have a sub too, and some anime crate which I allow to keep showing because I've hid every other possible ad in the algorithm from showing up. I rather just keep that one around because they have nice promo art most the time.

  21. My water heater had a seizure. Made some weird sounds and made my lights go crazy in the house earlier. Wtf I can't catch a break. I took a 2 hour lunch break and drained the tank out. Im hoping it removed sediment and it'll work ok. I'm testing it tonight. I'm waiting on a handyman guy to text me back about when he can look at it. Fml.
