  1. Damn ground bee stung the hell out of my arm yesterday while I was weed whacking. If I could have gotten to their hive with the whacker I'd have shredded it into a million pieces and then ran for my life. XD But the hive was in a concrete block. I sprayed it last night. I'll hit it with some expanding foam spray tonight to seal off the rest of them so they'll be buried alive.

  2. Now that the state of Mississippi has opted into the lottery, I can take a 15 min drive across the state line to a little gas station and buy tickets. Its astonishing how my state just refuses to even let us vote on it. People take their money to FL and GA for lotto tickets, and now the state we share out biggest border has it... on top of that most of the population is on the west side of the state anyways making it even easier. XD So dumb. I'm just glad I don't have to drive an hour plus to get tickets anymore. I can now make a weekly trip and try my luck.

  5. Turns out I had some sitemap issues, SEO issues and some issues with the https changeover that google absolutely did not like. It looks like google wasn't crawling the site or at least not crawling and indexing the site like it should have been for who knows how long. I think thats all fixed now and I think google is indexing correctly again. Will this increase our users online? I have no idea, lol. But at least the site should be a bit more visible with google now.. at least until google gives me another email about errors again. -_-;

As of now from over the last 5 months our best search term that gives us results is:

    "one punch man english dub"

The lowest search terms that somehow loads one of our pages:

    "utz cheddar cheese balls"

    XD

Can we just end this fucking year already before it starts getting anymore ideas?

Fucking gutted over this. Grant was always my favorite host on Mythbusters.

This news comes even more at a shock considering I also found out one of my old co-workers also died from the same thing.

    God this year sucks.......

  9. Damn heat wave needs to stop. :sweat2: We usually only get around 8 days of 90s+ every year. Mostly we get high 70s and high 80s during the summer. So far we've already hit 9 days of 90s+ and we have even more coming. It wouldn't be so bad if we could get some rain though. Everything is so dry I'm only mowing twice a month now and I think I'll mow this weekend.. but its mostly to cut all the clover thats growing because most of the grass is all turning brown. I bought mulch today for our garden because I'm burned out on watering it every morning. We'll mulch all those veggies and I should only have to water every other day then.

  13. Wearing a mask with glasses sucks. I've been using neck gaiters, but when you were anything that has to go around your ears it makes your glasses lose grip. I'm going to get a new Rx on contacts Monday. I stopped wearing them about 2 years ago becasue I couldn't wear them a whole day without my eyes getting irritated. I just need them for 8-10 hours tho, just to get through work.

  14. Got my pool setup last night. All thats left to do is hook up the filter and order a water delivery. :D This same time last year we were digging out that pool spot for all of June. I'll always remember that back breaking digging. This year we put a light layer of sand down since the level is good and we wont have to worry about the pool shifting at all. I'd like to get a permanent pool at some point. It looks like buying a new ground tarp and water delivery every year will be roughly $200 a year for expenses. And these intex pools are only meant to last roughly 2-4 years, but the pool was roughly $280 on sale I think. Even then its still cheaper than a $2-$5k pool. I might stick with using these cheap pools for years.

  16. It was snowing just 2 weeks ago and now it's practically a heat wave with multiple days in the 80s. I got my window air conditioners in, but the outdoor support for my big one broke when I was testing it. The window I need this AC unit in is extra wide and can't support the weight of the unit so last year I used an umbrella stand with a metal fence post with a welded pipe on the top. It worked great, but the umbrella stand just not have been good for the weight and it snapped during my test.

So I spent today making a new support brace out of wood. I used a 4x4 and some scrap 1x6s I had from deck work I did last weekend. It's working good, I just need to fill dirt under the bottom of the base boards and then place some of my huge ass rocks all over the base for extra stability. It's all pressure treated wood so it should last for years.

That's some intense winds. 😲 and yes fuck yellow jackets. I forgot to mention them, Hornets and bees. 😖 It was either yellow jackets or ground bees stung the hell out of me and got one of my dogs with a sting to about 3 years ago I think. I sprayed the hell out of the couple holes I saw them coming out of and thought that was the end of it.. nope, 2 days later they were swarming around. We had skunks in the yard a couple nights in a row, turns out they were hunting bees. A big pile of dirt almost 2 feet deep was dug up in a flower bed and what was left of a hive was exposed. I sprayed all those damn things and a couple days later I flushed them with the garden hose and left it running in the hole for hours just to be safe.

At my house now I've been seeing bumble bees and wasps having death battles. Wtf. I need to buy more wasp spray.

That would have to be some wicked wind to be able to knock this post over. I used structural screws in this thing. And 70+ pounds of rocks at the base. The wind would have to be way strong to knock this thing over. :D

Thankfully we don't get many strong storms here often. It'll happen a couple times a year tho with 70 mph gusts. I lost a nice glass table once when the wind lifted it right up and shattered it on a chair. It looked like the snow and ice destroyed my previous umbrella base for the AC. The snow must have melted into it, froze and then shattered the welds when it expanded. I should have put it in my garage over winter. But this wood one can take the winter no problem.

Lmao! XD that's crazy. Screw all those bugs. The only pesticides I have to use is some terro liquid ant baits a couple times a year to kill little black ants and carpenter ants. I've seen fire ants before but they're not an issue here. We'll get mosquitoes and stink bugs all summer. Black flies that bite like bastards and go for the eyes but they only last for the month of March. June bugs around June and random spiders but mostly daddy long legs that will eat little gnats. Theres a variety of spiders but they mostly stay outside. Brown recluse can be bad. I'd say the worst insect issue we have are ticks. I get bitten by one at least 2-6 times a year. Fuck those things and their lyme disease. I'm glad we have opossums around here because they eat a shit ton of them.

Winter here kills almost all the bugs and keeps their populations in check. I complain about winter often, but it is a solid 8 months of no mosquitoes.

I bet it could be. Lmao. XD I'll get central AC one of these days. You'd be surprised how many people around here don't even have a window unit. They just sit on their porch sweating. Wtf. Screw temps in the 90s. XD

Window AC units will always be popular in the northeast forever tho just because of how old alot of houses are here. Many date back to 1800s times when the region was first being settled way back when. When I was house shopping I was shocked by how many were 1800s and early 1900s. Many used boiler systems for heating.. and rooms and ceilings were not consistent on a room to room basis. Central AC wouldn't work in them unless the owner paid to retro fit the entire house with new installed ductwork through the entire house to run the AC because there's only water pipes everywhere for heat. The houses in the northeast are some of oldest in the country. Alot of people kept buying and updating them over the many many years but even then I've seen way too many houses with tree trunk supports in the basements.

  23. I've used Yahoo mail for the better part of 20 years now. A few years ago they started adding these intrusive adds that look like emails, and you can accidentally click on them. They've always had ads on the side or as a video when the inbox is empty, but these are annoying. I guess one of the last Ublock updates made is possible to suppress these ads. Every once in a while I'll see it for a second loading in and it goes away when Ublock blocks it.

Now Yahoo has a pop up that demands the blocker be turned off or it reverts back to "old yahoo mail". At first this was an easy fix to where you could just turn the new version back on after it reverts... which serves no purpose outside of looking modern. But now you can't swap back until you tun it off or pay a sub fee... my email bookmark loads into the new version anyways, but the tactic has become more aggressive to where you can maybe click 2 times before it pops up again.

I mean what a joke. I'm not disabling my blocker out of spite. I use my phone email app more anyways, which blocks all ads. Yahoo gains nothing since they freely give out the POP3 info for you to use outlook or any other 3rd party email program that their ads can't be seen on.

  25. Its finally warmed up around here. It snowed earlier this week and we've had over night freezing multiple days. And then abruptly it was almost 80 yesterday. XD now it's back down to the 60s, but at least it looks like winter is finally over. Now I can get some more yard work done without freezing my ass off. Lol.

And wtf.. we have gifs again? I thought it was disabled. Lol. Maybe ipb re-enabled it at some point and I never noticed.
