X'D ahh had to do it... nostalgia got to me.
  2. LOL. I'm a type 100 type guy. Although I noticed they watered it down substantially since last I played. It took a while to get use to the iron sights, but I rock box clips on all my machine guns.

I was disappointed with M1, The recoil is ridiculous with the lack of power. It was a monster in beta, but they underpowered it for the final release. I like the Gewehr 43. 0 Recoil and I can pull the trigger mad fast. Its probably the only gun I use with an aperture sight. I agree with the SVT-40. Personally I like the M1A1... once again because of the box clip. X'D

  3. Oh yeah, and even if you make it inside, half the time you still die. The Sentry gun on demolish is just nasty. X'D I also have a new found love for the Glock 18. WAY over powered, its like a mini uzi with the power of the AK-74U with stopping power and double tap. @_@.

I get a lot of Steath Bombers based off how many air drops people do. I personally love them myself. I've learned to always have tactical insertion on me tough, which is a new favorite of mine.

FINALLY IN-GAME HOST MIGRATION!! No more ending matches because the host left!
  5. Wow is all I can. X'D

  6. You said it right, They're acting like there might not be a public beta, which is disappointing. I can see their view of it, but they aren't looking for map glitches like the idiots that would get their hands on the public beta.

Love the MP5K. Curious about the 4 killstreak air drop. The riot shields definitely bring some new tactics to Domination and Search and Destroy. I never thought I'd hate the month of October as much as I do now... its only getting in the way of November! X'D

  8. My top 5 games I've played since last E3.

    1. Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
    2. NieR: Automata
    3. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
    4. Ratchet & Clank
    5. Battlefield 1 Campaign

That's pretty loose because technically Uncharted 4 came out a month before last E3, but I didn't play it until a few months after it came out. I tried not to put multiplayer/MMOs in there, but so little games impressed me enough into a purchase, this is the list I was left with. BF1's Campaign was pretty damn good though, despite my grudge against the MP as a whole, I can't overlook that. The episodic nature of it really worked well, and the finale of each were really epic. Kudos to DICE for finally making a competent single player experience outside of Bad Company.

My first 2 are leaps and bounds above the rest of the list. Uncharted 4 was outstanding, but in my heart and mind, I can't find it to be super memorable. This is because I played 1-4 in 5-6 days, and a lot of it jumbles to together into one big game. While 4 had amazing visuals, and more polished controls, it was more of the same from the last 3. But honestly that's not bad at all. The story and characters I loved very much, which caused me to buy the 4th immediately after beating the collection.

Zelda brought something completely new to the series, while keeping it very familiar. It's a masterpiece I hope everyone gets to enjoy. NeiR was just something new and refreshing from the norm. Despite its many flaws, its one of my favorite games of all time. I didn't think I'd like having to play through multiple times to get the real ending, but I actually did. The combat, story, and above all the music was just spectacular. It's def one of those games that not enough people will get to play because it fell through the cracks.

The BF1 campaign was the best content DICE has ever made. I really need to play Uncharted 4. I was going to try it the other day but PSN's download speeds are so garbage it took my ps4 8 hours to download the game completely even though I have 200 mpbs connection.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Hmmmm. I dunno if I'd put BF1 over BFBC2's campaign. If you ever see it on the cheap for, its worth picking up for the campaign even if no one plays the MP anymore.

I probably own it on my origin account. I'll have to check it later.

  9.  I started Revisions on Netflix. The first episode has awful and janky CGI but it gets a lot better after that. The premise is great, but for fucks sake the main character is so damn annoying. He makes Asta from Black Clover look like a good character. Mecha series have the absolute worst main characters the majority of the time. I just don't get it. Mikazuki Augus, Sousuke Sagara, Lelouch Vi Britannia, and Van of the Dawn are the only ones I can think of that I've ever liked. But here we don't have your typical emotionless husk, or pacifist crybaby... you'd only wish for that once you meet Daisuke Dojima. He's ultra full of himself and a selfish idiot. Holy cow he should be a side character. All his friends aren't that great either as they all bicker with Daisuke's douchness. Why am I even watching this? XD

  10. "Oh look, it's FAREN...the last person I wanted to see." XD ever since the HoT beta that's been my favorite dynamic event in gw2.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I haven't done that event since the beta. I remember when he was wearing that speedo and everyone had a wtf moment at his nakedness. XD

  11. #RIP my bank account in April. Not only does FFVII remake come out on my Bday, but the Trials of Mana remake and Sakura Wars comes out BOTH on the 24th and 28th. wtf. x_x I've been into a lot of Japanese games lately. After Ys: VIII, I've had an itch I've needed to scratch for old school style ARPGs. I picked up Tales of Berseria since it was on sale, and have been having a blast with it. I also still need to beat Astral Chain on Switch.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

What version of FFVII are you going to buy? Physical fancy version from a store or digital on PSN?

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Digital. I doubt I'll ever buy physical again.

  12. -_-; wtf... Its 6v1 on WvW this week... both of our opponents are triple link servers. How is that even fair? We're getting destroyed in skirmishes because they K-train the whole map. They can't fight worth anything because were were farming them hard. But every time we dug out of last place we were instantly back in it within seconds of taking a keep or tower. They probably have like 3 commanders from each server zerging around the map capping stuff. How did Tarnish Coast get so bad that it needs 2 servers linked to it? Feels like not too long ago it was the weekly battle of JQ/BG/TC.

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I finished out my Wood Chest tonight to retain my loyalty pip. I took a break from TWD todo this, but thats all I'll probably play this week with whats going on. Its not worth getting last place pips to get to gold.

On a side note, how has purging flames not been nerfed... I mean screw epidemic, at least you have a chance to condi clear it. I drop PF on an unsuspecting zerg and I instadown 6-7 people at once. XD It's pretty absurd. Sometimes my loot feed starts rolling like I'm in the Mad King's Labyrinth.

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I love purging flames. So many instant kills with it. XD the synergy with dire equipment and that one trait that procs burns on hits is too damn OP. Its more damage than berserkers longbow burst attacks.. It's easily as powerful as berserkers gunflame bursts used to be before it was nerfed.

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Well.. I think I'm going to hold off on trying to get WvW skirmish tickets for the foreseeable future until they change the system. I already have 1 legendary back piece and I'm close to getting the pvp one. The wvw one looks good, but I don't have the time for it. I was getting 2 pips per tick yesterday just to finish off my wood chest for 10 whopping tickets. If the reward tracks would reset monthly instead of weekly it'd be a much more enjoyable system since the rewards scale with the higher chests. If anything there should have been a wvw season that runs opposite the pvp league seasons. Weekly resetting the reward track is too much for me. The loyatly pip is dumb too since it only applys to the reward track you last completed. I made it through the wood chest the week before so I get an extra 1 pip per tick... until I finish the wood chest, then that loyalty pip is removed because I'm past the tier I finished the week before.

They should have introduced 2 new currencies like how pvp has claim tickets and ascended shards of glory. The tickets can be accumulated at about the same speed in pvp as the tickets in wvw, but ascended shards of glory come in much higher numbers for buying ascended gear. But in wvw there is only claim tickets and the vendors needs ass tons of them. I bought the first tier of the pvp back piece precursor for 10 tickets.. in wvw the first tier costs 350 tickets. wtf. I can get 10 claim tickets in pvp in about an hour or a little more depending on how high a chest tier I'm at. In wvw it takes me 4 hours to get 10 claim tickets. I'll keep playing some wvw for gifts of battle and for fun, but I'm not going to even bother playing enough to get these tickets for this cost of time. At 4 hours a week for 10 tickets a week it'll take me 5 years to get this back piece. Its not casual friendly at all and I'd rather go back to playing Mass Effect or my back log of other games.

      What anet needs to do is change the vendors completely and introduce ascended memories of battle currency. The back piece items should have the same cost as the pvp one and ascended memories of battle can be used for the ascended armor/weapons. As well as having a wvw league season instead of weekly reset, I bet alot more people would enjoy it. As it is now people have to dedicate 30+ hours a week to finish the entire reward track. And outnumbered pips is dumb. I was on a map that was outnumbered, prediction says I'll get 7 pips but some guy in map chat likes to call out the outnumbered map. 2 seconds before the pip rewards hit, people load into the map, I get 2 flipping pips because outnumbered is immediately negated. They all leave and my next pip prediction is 7 again when I know for a fact the same shit will happen again. -_-;

  13. 13 episodes into The Rising of the Shield Hero, and this show is pretty much taken the crown for this season... or last season depending.. I guess it counts for both as its still going. Unlike most Isekai, the main character is constantly getting screwed and is always at a disadvantage. The pure hatred you feel for all the other characters in this alternate world of douche is amazing. Literally everyone except a small handful of people are assholes. So the main character tends to go Mass Effect Renegade at times. The emotional vitriol this show invokes is outstanding. The animation of the characters and the dub voice actors nail it completely... as someone that it doesn't take much to want a character to die... I REALLY want 90% of the cast dead. XD

  14. 3 episodes into Stiens:Gate 0, and it's a feels trip. I liked the first one, but I wouldn't consider myself a fan. But this one is just tugging at my feelings with Okabe interacting with Amadeus. On a funny note, its wierd how everyone's tits got huge. Wtf? XDXD

    1. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

XD leave it to you to notice the most important things.

It's been a rough ride and the way things are shaping up (based on all 5 eps) it's going to be another emotional roller coaster. I'm honestly enjoying this more then the first one just based on the emotional tone alone but I still say the first one was amazing in it's own right (I just wish the fucking games would go on sale x.x )

    2. DeathscytheX

It's kinda hard not to notice the first time Mayuri shows up. I'm like "wait what?" XD. It's an obvious difference.

  15. 7SEEDS on netflix is definitely one of their better offerings. I found it to be highly enjoyable. Gripping even. Its basically an anime about Life after humans, with humans reinserted into it. Think After Earth, but not shitty. XD The only gripe I have is that it's one of those "Part 1"  deals, and it ends on a extremely important cliffhanger. Leaving the chances of being LoLH'ed never sits well with me. Bottom line, the cast of characters are solid, the voice acting is above average, and the story is engaging. This is post apocalyptic wilderness survival. No evil dystopian government plots, no alien overlords, just humans and an evolved ecosystem.

  16. A friend was able to score me a PS5 while I was at work today. I'm pretty pumped!

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Yeah its pretty massive. I had to clear out a space in my entertainment console to put it as it wont go under on beside my TV. I gave it the biggest cove so it wont overheat.. but so far it doesn't seem to get very hot. At first it kinda smelled like burnt plastic the first hour... only when you get really close to it... I guess not burnt plastic but more like when you turn your heater on for the first time. The UI is crips and has zero lag like the PS4 when you try to move around too fast on it. The power saver options are nice as well as the conviencnes of it asking if you want to download all the major streaming apps during set up. Funi is the only thing I use since my SmartTV doesnt have that app, but still nice.

The controller had to be updated as well, Ill use a different controller tomorrow to see if I need to do it to all 3. At first I thought it was just on the console side but it told me not to unplug it from the PS5.

The dualsense is very nice. Its got good heft and the dynamic rumble is impressive so far. I haven't had any experiance with haptic feedback yet though.

The HD space is a joke.... I tell you that right now. I automatically downloaded playroom, with that, some stream apps, my save data. Spider-Man and COD Cold War. My SSD is already half full.

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

That hard drive space is the main reason I'm in no rush to get one. I read that the proprietary SSD expandable hard drive space is coming soon though. Did you get all those free PS+ games for owning a PS5 yet? Those should install an play off an external hard drive no problem. Another interesting thing my brother told me about his... he said you can take your PS4 external drive and connect it to the PS5, boot the PS5 and it will auto recognize all the installed games on it and set them up to play. And you can go into the UI and disconnect the external and plug it back into the PS4 and there won't be any issues. He was doing that for a bit until he got another external drive dedicated just for PS4 games to play on the PS5.

congrats. ^_^ i got my ps5 a couple days ago..FREE. bwhahah..my brother is moving away soon and he says with another child coming, he really doesnt have time anymore. i decided to give him my switch bc his is all messed up. anyway im still playing games on ps4 though. probably have to wait longer for more ps5 games to come out. we’ll see.

  17. After they announced their world premiere on 5/6, Battlefield shared a 1942 clip advertising their world premiere. I hope that means something.

Sucks for them. Its like a how a good movie might come out the same weekend as a new Star Wars and bomb horribly just because of bad timing.

  18. Although its also on the PS4, I purchased Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana for the Switch recently because it's just been collecting dust. It was probably the better option anyways because the graphics look like something out of the N64/PS2 era with modern draw rates. Not a knock against it, as its quite charming... but the game looks like it belongs on the Switch rather than PS4. Everything about this game is so 1998. I've never played any of the Ys games before, but this one caught my eye for the old school hack and slash. It's very Dark Cloud-ish minus the world building. Sprinkle some old Zelda in there as well. The combat is relatively simple with 1 button main attack, and 4 special attacks that consist of holding R1 and pressing A B Y X. These use a SP meter that replenishes on kills. There are also dodge and block counters that give you a special speed combo ability. You have a party of 3, and characters that join where you can swap them out and swap between the three in combat. Each character has a assigned damage type (Slash, Precise, Bash). Having all 3 types helps weaken the right enemies susceptible to these plus you get a rare drop bonus... rather than the 1.1x bonus for having two of the same. Anyways, the story is campy but interesting, the dialogue is 90's cringeworthy, and its a lazy sprinkle of actual voice acting and text reading. The world is  large but a bunch of sectioned off instances that quickly load without a loading screen as you cross them. There are fast travel points but not in every sector, so it requires some old school memorizing where to go at times. As you get special gear, you'll find places that were inaccessible previously open up. I'm 20 hours in and I don't feel like I'm even half way through. So at $60, I feel like I'm getting my money's worth for a decent nostalgia kick. I bet this will be a free PS Plus game next year so when it comes up I highly recommend it without even finish it. I'll report back when I beat it with a proper review.

  19. Ancient Magus Bride is simply outstanding. I wish I would have gotten to it sooner. Its like a darker Spirited Away with some XXXholic and Mushi Shi mixed in. From all the promotion Funi did on facebook, it was nothing like what I thought it was going to be. They really need to work on conveying themes better. Its partially why it took me so long to get around too it, because it didn't interest me at first. If you're ever in the mood for a mystical anime, this is the one. The world building is fantastic.

  20. ANIME OVERLOAD!!! What a time to be alive! Netflix has 4 new anime that I I'll give a shot Starting with SWORDGAI and B: The Beginning. New Full Metal Panic and My Hero Academia coming soon. Dragon Ball Super is still being dubbed, and I'm currently enjoying the new Basiliks along with GARO Vanishing Line and Darling in the Franxx.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I noticed Netflix recommending alot more anime to me. I'm glad they increased their offerings. I'll start watching some soon. btw it looks like Dragon Ball Super ended in japan or it's on a long hiatus at this point now that it finished the current arc. I don't know how far behind the dub is but it'll probably be all caught up by summer based on the last episode I watched on toonami.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

There are spoilers all over Facebook, I even shared the last fight. XD it looks amazing, but since its subbed I still look forward to seeing all of the Tournament of Power dubbed. I just finished the tournament between Universe 6 and 7 last week. That's all they have dubbed on funi. They generally lag behind if CN gets the rights to air it.

    3. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Correction, I got up to Goku Black and Goku facing off for the first time. They end in the middle of arcs for some reason and it's really weird. I held off on the first tournament on purpose when I saw it didn't finish it on dub.

  21. Anthem isn't perfect. It probably should have been delayed another 6-8 months, but its a hell of a lot of fun. I just find it funny how Destiny can rack up big review scores with the similar issues and significantly less content. The popular thing to do right now is crap on EA, and its justified... but it'll be a shame if this game gets the plugged pulled on it early. There is a lot of potential here to fill the gap until the next gen consoles come. Arekkz has the most realistic take on the game, the rest of the YT community is just spitting out talking points which is kinda sad too see since they're suppose to be the alternate to big game sites.

    1. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Dragon Age 4 has already been confirmed to be in development but whether or not it will continue is up in the air currently with this latest fiasco. I also recently started playing TOR again so I'd really hate for that to get shuttered as well (though it is on the outs, current dev team is only 6 or so people).

With everything I've been hearing about Div 2 I'm sure it'll be a success but I'll hold my thoughts for after this weekends open beta but if it delivers more content both in the beginning and in the endgame it'll put the nail in the coffin for Anthem. I wouldn't go so far as to push Anthem to next gen but I definitely think it needed at least another 6 months before they launched it.

Gaming has been into a downfall ever since DLC became a thing back in the early 360/PS3 days and has continued to do so ever since Publishers have realized they can start monetizing every game like they do MMO's and Mobile games. Games as a service is probably the worst thing to ever happen to the industry and it's really turning me away from gaming outside of FFXIV and the few titles like Nier and Horizon. As much as I love this hobby I'm getting to the point where I can take it or leave it (I mean I'm down to buying 2-3 games a year now and rarely have time to even finish 1 of them).

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

It's a shame Anthem didn't get fully polished. How is the overall campaign? Is it worth watching a play through on youtube?

    3. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

No not really. XD It would be like watching The Division. The story is actually pretty forgettable, but even if it wasn't, I can't see it being much fun watching people shoot, fly and take cover constantly. And then walking around fort Tarsis talking to random NPCs. I'd say cut scenes make up 2% of the whole experience. There might have been 5 in the whole 30+ hours it took to beat. Each individual mission was fun to play and I got geared up enough to jump into Grandmaster 1 difficulty just from doing the story.

  22. Apparently NCSoft got DDoSed today and caused server issues for GW2. I've taken a break to play some other games so I'm glad I'm not working on anything right now or I'd be raging... especially if I was trying to WvW.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I've heard so many ppl complaining about the lag in the pvp lobby that I haven't bothered to do a single match the last 2 days. Its been going on for 2 days but then they got full on DDoSed yesterday while I was trying to log in for my home instance farming.

  23. As a hater of CGI in anime for the most part. I must say Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin has done the best job I've seen of using it. The Battle of Loum was an incredible sequence. This should be a clinic on how to do proper CGI if you're going to do it. I'll always prefered drawn, but damn that episode was phenomenal.

  24. As much as I am enjoying this anime season with so many good shows. Friday is just incredible. Fruits Basket, Dr. Stone, and Fire Force. Pretty much 3 of my top 4 this season. (Cop Craft battling with FB for that #3 spot). All three episodes were amazing this week. Kohaku is the ultra best girl this season. 😍 As much as a lot of people hate it, I've always been a fan of the huge eyeballs, weird faces, massive mouth, anime faces for comedy as long as it's done right. Dr. Stone nails it. XD

    1. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Fire Force wins the season for me since I can't honestly say Demon Slayer and Fruits Basket are part of this current season as they started airing last season (though if I could Demon Slayer wins hands down). None of the other stuff interests me in the least (though I might check out the Milfsekai show when I get a chance (that's what one of the youtubers I follow calls "Do You Love Your Mom and her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks" since it seems like it might be entertaining).

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Ugh that one isn't dubbed. I looks like it could be funny. So many Isekai these days though. XD
