I still haven't finished watching the series on netflix. Lol. I got a couple episodes in and got bored. XD I'll start watching it again since I didn't give it enough time to establish itself.

Well you do have that complete Anthem overhaul to look forward to if reports are right about them reworking it from the ground up (what good it will do who knows). Honestly Respawn would be the better choice between the two since BioWare Austin (makers of TOR) are pretty much a skeleton crew at this point and they couldn't be repurposed for a new KoToR at this point (I mean they're barely pushing out any significant updates for TOR outside of rehashes of old events, the reason why I'm currently not subscribed anymore (until the next big content patch hits where I get my hands on my long vacated Dark Council seat)).
I would assume Respawn is probably working on the next hush hush title (I mean they're currently working on the VR Medal of Honor and I'm sure the constant updating of Apex keeps them busy). I would assume we see another Titanfall game from Respawn before another Star Wars title or even a sequel to Fallen Order. Then again with as greedy as EA is I wouldn't be surprised if they hand over the story focused SW games to Respawn after there hit.
We'll just have to wait and see. Hopefully, if the rumor proves to be true, the devs stick to the story and spirit of the original KoToR's and deliver just a complete remaster instead of a complete remake. I doubt it though since I'm sure Disney will put their foot down on keeping it true to new canon (I mean EA has the game license but Papa Disney holds the license for everything so it wouldn't take much for them to pull it if EA said no, no one fucks with Papa Disney (even terrible Uncle EA)).

I don't know, I thought KoToR 2 had a better story then the first one. Yea, it's obvious it's rushed (and you can mod it to make it closer to what it was supposed to be) but I thought Obsidian did a rather good job with it (even if I still haven't beaten it, god damn you for being OP Traya).
Honestly I just wish they'd leave the old, good games alone and focus on making new ones. Plus don't fuck with the story, the new canon is fucking shit so don't try to muscle this into the new canon. The way the story is is just fine, no need to change things around. The only other thing is who'd be remaking it? If it's BioWare I'm out. They've fucked up way to much in recent years to even be trusted with their own original game (I have slim hopes for DA4 and the recent rumors of a new ME, that studio is not what it used to be and should not be trusted with triple A titles anymore). Obsidian would be the only other choice but they're focused on their own shit right now (especially with the success of The Outer Worlds).

Mother's Basement had Promised Neverland, I just picked Arkada's list for more bias reasons since I've seen most of what he has on there even though I wouldn't put some of them in my top of the decade despite enjoying them thoroughly. Both had Mob Psycho which I adore, and A Place Further than the Universe which I guess I need to watch now. Plus I knew he'd have Evergarden which would absolutely be on my list. Death Parade is criminally underrated. I'll raise an eyebrow at JoJo's though, I could only make it through 2 seasons before It got a bit too wacky for my liking And I watch A LOT of garbage. My top 10-25 list would be all over the place since my anime pallet is not as refined
I'll leave this here since it's what I was originally coming to post. 😛

Gah, I get this is his own personal favorites of the decade list but by god putting A Silent Voice in the honorable mentions category is a fucking crime. That movie alone deserves a fucking spot in the top 10 of any anime of the decade list and deserves Your Name's place on that list (hey, I'll shill for Shinkai until the day I die and I fucking adore Your Name ranking it up there as his best film to date and as one of my all time favorite anime movies but it's a travesty not to place A Silent Voice in that list. The raw emotion, excellent story telling, and wonderful animation beats out Your Name any day). My name is Strider and thank you for attending my TED talk today.
Other then that and the fact A Promised Neverland isn't on there (it's still my anime of the year, nothing has kicked it out of that spot yet) and I haven't seen quite a few of those shows I have to say from the ones that did line up with what I watched we have similar ideas on what constitutes good anime (it's surprising how much my tastes in anime line up with Arkada's. If it wasn't for him I'd of never watched Laid-Back Camp, which is up there as one of my all-time favorite shows to date (such a lovely show and so relaxing)).

After a long time, I finally put the themes back up. There was a black friday sale and I got the themes renewed at 50% off which was a nice bonus. I'll update the background images at some point.

This series never fails to deliver such beautiful music. I'm glad they stuck with S1's opener as rare as that is these days. But this ED is so good.

The first ep was really good. The practical effects are on par with the movies and they need to stick with it for the most part. The CGI was good until they had characters ride on CG creatures and it kind fell apart. Clearly the characters were CGed in these shots causing some slightly jarring effects. Even stationary though it looked like prequel level aged effects. However some one of the biggest CGI pieces near the start looked superb, and all the ship and planet stuff looked movie quality. The story set up was really good, the action sequences were awesome, and there was some old style star wars dry humor which I appreciated. I hope they stick with that and not the forced new age irl slang that just clashes with the SW universe.
If you want to wait 6 weeks for the show to be over just to use the free trial and binge it, don't search anything related to the series. The end of the ep was a doozy and the spoiler has exploded with anything related to the show.
On a side note D+ has the 90s X-Men and Spiderman cartoons... all of it.

You'd be surprised. Hell Shion no Ou is an anime about shogi and its fucking amazing (though it does have other plot elements going on). Aria is a show about cute girls with gondolas and it's amazing. It's funny how the Japanese can take something that seems mediocre and turn in into the best damn thing you've never done.
Might as well leave one myself. Probably my favorite OP out the this season's new offerings (I don't count Fire Force's new one (though it is a banger, still like the first OP better)). Hell for a bonus here's the ED as well (my favorite of this season).
I don't know what it is about this show but I love everything that's going on in it from the story, characters, and the music. I definitely wasn't thinking this show would become a favorite of mine when I heard of it and I'm glad to say it has become my favorite of the season.

Wasn't a particularly memoriable anime, but the opening was really good.
This is probably one of the most under the radar series going right now. I dunno how a show about playing a Koto can be so damn good, but it really is. The character development is what makes this show what it is along with the music. The opening melody is so beautiful too. Season 2's OP is pretty good, but this one is just magical.

So after having done the Nier raid twice now I definitely have to say the FFXIV team and Yoko Taro knocked it our of the fucking park. This is probably my favorite 24-man in the entirety of XIV and favorite story based raid in the entire game. The boss fights are extremely fun and interesting, the enemies are well modeled and varied to say the least (some of which don't appear in Automata (they might as I still haven't beaten it yet but from what I could tell quite a few of them are original to this raid)), and that soundtrack is fucking amazing (the final boss theme is fucking beyond amazing and I so want it now, looks like I'll be buying the next Shadowbringers soundtrack just for it (its a remix of Weight of the World and it's tear inducing)). Not to mention the story for it is damn good and I get the feeling we might be meeting some more familiar faces in the next two raids (I won't ruin it unless you've already seen or been told but I wasn't honestly expecting to see who I saw at the end of the raid even if it was kinda spoiled in the trailer). Now if only I could win the god damn roll on the 2B armor set so I can be happy and have my 2B look (I want those fucking thigh boots god damnit, they'd fit so well with a current glamour set-up that I have).
I look forward to patch 5.3 and 5.5 for the next two sets of this raid because if they're anything like this I'll be more then happy (now to get around to beating Automata, I'm almost done with 9S's route/B ending. Should hopefully have that done this weekend if I don't keep getting distracted by side quests or the XIV raid (I must have my 2B glamour)).
Also I take back what I said about the 5.1 Samurai changes. While I still don't think we're where we should be dps wise I'm feeling like we're in a better place then we were prior to this. Now to try out the new Ninja changes and see if I pick up Ninja as my secondary main.

    aesthetics
Skill trees are back and so are Rune Words, but they probably wont be as intricate as D2. Its sill very early and they said its not coming out soon or even blizzard soon so its subject to change, but I saw a skill tree with branches on a stone background. Their goal was to bring back the D2 aesthetics. After the opening ceremony I had to rely on streamer's that bought the eticket and wade through their blabber to hear what the panel was saying. There was a bit more gameplay shown there. But to answer your question, the combat will def be similar to D3.
    A few notes from memory
It will be open world with 5 regions, hundreds of legendaries, and 5 classes to start. I can only speculate that Necro is one of the sure fire unannounced classes. Paladin is a classic, but I could see Demon Hunter returning to be the 2nd ranged and the physical ranged at that. I don't think Monk and Witch Doctor will make the cut.
Druid can transform on the fly, chaining mutli form attacks. Barbarian is straightfoward bruit force as always, I didn't get to hear the Sorceress part because it was muted as the streamer wanted to talk. 🙄 EDIT: I'm def going Barb. Watching the gameplay trailer again I notice he can swap between 3 different weapons in combat. The first he shows up he opens with staff, swaps to sword, and then to dual axe, holy shit. Hes got a maul on his back in a lot of clips while he fights with other weapons.
Rune Words are back and they will shift away from heavily focusing on gear sets, and place a lot more emphasis legendary gear. They don't want to pigeon hole people into builds anymore, and want you to be able to create a build you envision. Sets will still be a part of the game, they just won't be better than everything.
PvP will be in the game in public arenas, World events with world bosses will be in public areas as well. They showed 7 people taking on a big monster that is near the end of the gameplay trailer.
Mounts are customizable (probably the monetization of the game as leaked). Right now they're just horses, but you can change out their armor, skin, have trophies like demon heads and what not that hang from the back. Each class will have dismount skills. They showed the Sorceress turning into an ice ball and freezing a trash mob while the barbarian followed up with a dismount ground smash turning them into dust.
Dungeons will be 100% fully randomized and the story will be non linear. You can go at your own pace, explore the world, do repeatable events and jump back in at any time.
Thats all I can remember, but I believe that was most of it. They have another panel tomorrow about the game's systems.
EDIT: here is a pic of the skill tree briefly shown.... although now looking at it its a talent tree, the skills are a different tab.

While I'm excited I'm tempering my expectations until I see way more gameplay. I jumped on the Diablo 3 hype train to early and was extremely disappointed with what we were given at launch (now D3 is in a good place but it took way to long to get there). What would make me happy is if they bring back the skill trees from D2 but I highly doubt it as it looks like the combat is extremely similar to D3 with D2's darker world design.
Interested to see how Lilith coming back will play out considering she is one of the creators of Sanctuary and nowhere near as powerful as her dad or uncles (which Diablo is still out there somewhere, wondering if she's going to try and bring him back or try and steall his powers and become the next prime evil).

This movie has nothing to do with the current DCEU/previous movies, this movie is in its own universe (kind of like the Elseworlds comics) and this Joker is not currently established in any timeline. This is Todd Philips and Joaquin Phoenix's take on the Joker and the world he lives in (hell it's already been established that Batman will never exist in this universe even though Bruce Wayne is in it as a child). Quite honestly its a good thing this movie isn't connected to the shit shoe that is WB's DCU.
I'm actually extremely hyped for this movie and have been since the first trailer dropped. I've heard nothing but amazing things and this will probably be the one movie I actually go see in theaters this year.

Honestly I don't see whats wrong with that. That's the kind of shit my friends and I used to say and joke about back in high school. I honestly agree with Jeremy on this in that I'm not offended in the least (though the Goku one will probably land that guy in trouble). Fucking christ people get worked up about shit that doesn't even matter, it's not like any of that was said to be mean or demean anyone. It was just for fun and stuff they never thought would leak. Honestly people just need to fucking lighten up and allow harmless shit like this to pass (don't get me wrong I'm all for calling people out when they do something demeaning or hateful but come on, this is in no ways either of those).

Strider Hiryu got a reaction from Sledgstone in Alita: Battle Angel
*reviving a dead topic again (I'm good at this)*
So I finally got around to watching the movie tonight (I really like the idea of renting movies off of PSN). Honestly it was a lot better than I thought it was going to be and that CGI is fucking amazing (better then Ghost in the Shell's which I honestly didn't think was possible and those fucking battle scenes were awesome). Rosa Salazar did an amazing job bringing Alita to life and I have to give props for that as I didn't think any actress would be able to do so (her CGI was a lot better than the trailers showed though she is still in the uncanny valley for me (her look didn't throw me off or anything but I think a lot of the other Cyborgs looked a lot better than her and much more believable)).
Now you're wondering, what do they do wrong Strider as someone who has read the source material (currently in the middle of re-reading it since I bought the Deluxe Edition Hardcover set that was recently released)? I'm not going to nitpick this to death like I did Ghost in the Shell as it will be a lot of spoilers for the source material and I suggest going and reading it if you can. I will say that they re-wrote a lot and took way too many artistic liberties when adapting this but it works for the film as it's telling it's own story not the original's (and it's obvious Cameron is a fan of the manga as he took great pains to adapt it in his own loving way). They changed a lot of characters names, changed a lot of scenes from the manga to make this work, threw Motorball in only as a means to an end (this was my biggest disappointment of the whole movie, we finally get a chance to see an adaptation of Motorball and they do a piss poor job of it and fucking make Jashugan look like a fucking punk (he's a fucking badass in the manga and is the fucking Grand Champion of Motorball)), changed a lot of Hugo's back story and story in general, and added in characters that didn't even exist in the manga (and changed quite a bit about Ido but god damn did they pick a perfect actor to portray him). If you want a full list of all the changes and aren't afraid of spoilers since you have no plans on reading the source (what the hell is wrong with you? go read it and if you need me too I'll send you my scanlations discreetly) let me know and I'll go into full detail about all the changes.
Overall a solid 6.5/10 mostly for Rosa's portrayal of Alita, Christoph Waltz's Ido (god damn did he do a good job), and the fucking amazing CGI. Soundtrack wasn't too bad as well.

At least in the early stages of dungeons people aren't savage douches when it comes to loot. I can tell when I'm running with some exp people just grinding a new job. Out of my own sense of honor I always pass on gear I can't use. I got a new bow today at the end because everyone else passed on it and I was clearly the only bow user in the party. We cast lots over everything else because they were master of war or all classes stuff that was pretty good. This isn't the first time its happened. I like the system for what it is, even tho I prefer GW2/D3 style you get your own drops. But it beats B&S where the richest player always wins so long as you have the coin to outbid everyone on that item that's absolutely necessary to upgrade your weapon.... if it drops at all. 🙄
