  1. I don't know anyone that had swine flu, not even online. There's hype and scare about it, but in truth, if you take the same precautions with the regular flu, the chances of dying are actually less than the regular flu.
  2. aside from the asshole aspect, i just can't see what the appeal would be in driving around sitting on parts from a whale penis....i just don't get it....><
  3. Introducing one with interior leather seats made from the skin of whale penises. Yes, you read that right. >< Source
  4. Ooo, a Shoutcast feature would be cool. I've still got my personal Shoutcast server on my machine, so I could play DJ! And I can help with converting some of the themes, I did one for one of the old versions of IPB, and it wasn't all that hard. I mean, if you can do phpBB themes, you can do IPB themes. But does this mean we'll have to redo all our high scores?? ><
  5. It's not entierly youtube's fault. They've just succumed to the "OMG, we have to cover our own asses since everyone wants to sue people for copyright infringment!" syndrome. Which, unfortunatly, means that a lot of vids will suffer for it because some people and companies are crazy jelious of protecting copyrights, even to the point of targeting people that aren't doing anything illegal *cough4kidscough*.
  6. Whiskey doesn't cure flu, just makes you forget you have it. Happy late birthday Strider!! \o/
  7. if your eyes are the same prescription, it's a little cheaper for the boxes. I can get a 6-month supply for about $60 because i wear mine for at least a month at a time.
  8. Yeah, the first few times you put them on, it's really weird. But once you get them in, they're really comfortable and you'll forget you have them on. Just remember, you're not actually touching your eyeball, the contact is between your finger and your eye, and your contact is made to touch your eye, so as long as you clean them, it's safe. You might ask about a trial pair, a lot of companies will do that. And I don't have vision insurance, just get the exam and then buy them online. It's cheaper than paying $300 for a pair of glasses.
  9. Yeah, it's actually cheaper for me to have contacts than glasses, even with a yearly contact lens exam. My eyes still change a little bit, enough that my prescription changes about every other year, and in that time I'll have spent less on disposable contacts than it would cost me to get one pair of glasses, that's how bad my eyes are. I've been using the oasys as well, and they're pretty comfortable. I can sleep in them and everything. I don't clean them as often as I really should, but I can a month or two out of one pair if I clean them about once a week. Basicly, I take them out overnight once a week and let them soak, then rinse them good next morning. If I do that regularly, they're fine.
  10. Why do I get the feeling that Coke is going to make a lot of money for the next couple of months?
  11. HP makes some decent ones, that's what I've got. As for 3 or 4 color printing, the difference in home printers is that 4 color printing means Red, Blue, Yellow, and Black, so anything you print in black only uses one cartridge instead of a mix of all three. Meaning, you won't have to replace all of them if you do a lot of black and white printing, plus your color pictures will look a little better. I honestly don't use mine to print with anymore, though I really should. I mostly use it for scanning arts anymore.

    Oops.

wFLVj92zaYo Yeah. I've actually seen something similar, but it was a rear-end crash where the person slid under the car in front of them.

    I know it's a commercial, but it's still a neat idea. 2lXh2n0aPyw
  14. The only thing I use anti-bacterial soap for is washing dishes. And that's because I'm uncomfortable using bleach on things I eat off of. >< For everything else, I just use a regular cleaner, like that orange stuff. It gets stuff clean, smells good, and has a much lower risk of mutating bacteria.
  15. Temperature doesn't matter in washing hands because your skin can't handle the water that's hot enough to kill the germs. It needs to be boiling to do that, and yeah, try and wash your hands in that. And really, just good soap works fine. You don't need anti-bacterial soap. It helps, but overuse makes it's own problems.
  16. BudhFVnN2o0 Rather amusing. Glad that Will It Blend? made the vid.
  17. Then how is it that American kids send, on average, the same amount of time in the classroom as many other developed nations, yet our kids can't compete with other countries? I'm not saying longer school time is a bad idea, but it's not going to fix the problem by itself. A more productive way is to overhaul the US standards of education. That may include being in school for more hours, but would also rework how we teach our kids and what they need to know to be able to move on.
  18. Yeah I saw that, and I honestly don't think it'll help signifigantly. It's not the amount of time you spend in school, it's the quality of the education. Concentrate on that instead of just saying "spend more time in school". That' make the better difference.
  19. Source I honestly can't figure people out. Seriously. Taking cute baby bathtime pics makes a person a sexual preditor? So, taking pictures of my nephew having his very first bath makes me a sexual preditor? Hell, by that logic every single parent anywhere is a sexual preditor since they have to, you know, give their baby a bath or change their diapers. WTF?
  20. As bad as Hollywood is about adaptaions, as long as it's better than the original one, I'm not going to complain.
  21. *sighs* Dammit, Kayne! It's sad, really.
  22. Yeah, I'll be that's faked. The cameraman jerking around in the wake, but that guy standing like nothing happened?
