  1. Random thought. How much is too much? I remember when I was young, and my parents had adult social gathering with friends, there was Budwiser, Miller, and Coors. Maybe some others here and there. When I came of age the selection got a bit more vast. I don't really drink beer anymore as the constant pissing and bloating isn't worth the small buzz it provides. Holy cow today there is so many damn beers tho. Like 6000 IPAs alone. How do you even decide? Especially if you're as adventurous as someone like me. You'd never be able to settle on a favorite because you want to try something new too much. There is so much that I'd forget something I liked after trying 30 more beers over the course of months. It kinda reminds me of damn yogurt. When I started in the grocery business there was 3 types of yogurt. Breyer's Cream Savers, Yoplait, and store brand. Now there's a 20 foot section of yogurt at every store... and let me tell you... MILLIONS of dollars go in the garbage every year from it going out of date. Its the biggest food waste in America. Anyways. Overall I don't drink anywhere near as much as I use to and when I do its bourbon/whiskey only. I have my tried and true, but I'd always like to venture out and try something here and there when something new would appear on the shelf... but now Bourbon is the same way. XD WTF My curiosity gets the better of me and I've tried nothing but new stuff the last 3 bottles I've gotten the past year. They've all been pretty good, but nothing mind blowing. I'm going to pick up something new again tomorrow for the kick off of Season 2 for COD. I'll stand there like an idiot for 20 min trying to decide, knowing that I won't be back for another 2 months. By that time 10 new bourbons will be out. I don't know whether to complain about it or be happy that the market is so robust after there was apparently going to be a bourbon shortage according to some reports a few years ago. I don't, and I never will drink cheap. If I can't afford the good stuff I go without. And now that I go through a bottle every 2-3 months rather than 1 a week or two like in my 20s. XD I'm willing to spend even more per bottle. I tried some Prichard Bourbon last time, it was pretty good but had some sweet tones like brandy I didn't care for too much. I like my bourbon to be rough and tough with that good oaky taste that incinerates your sinuses upon hitting your tongue. XD Before that I had Clyde May's Alabama Whiskey which was really good. There are a lot of staples that are releasing new stuff I want to try unless its that fruit infused crap. Uh damn Millennials ruining alcohol with there fruit flavors. White Claw is an abomination of mankind and shouldn't exist. /endrant.

You haven't experienced crap until you are stuck at home in a blizzard and only have an old bottle of canadian ltd. XD

I haven't had Chick-Fil-A in years, same with Sonic and Popeyes. 5 guys and Wendys are my go to for a good fast food burger. I don't each nearly as much fast food or restaurant food any more, maybe once a week or every other week. Lately its been once a week tho and I've had to settle with burger king or KFC because the selections aren't that great around here, but Arbys does make a decent brisket sandwich when I'm craving bbq. The best chicken tenders I've ever eaten are from Raising Cane's. I wish they'd open one here near me. Every time I visit ohio I go there for the chicken sandwich, its 3 tenders on a bun. Damn thing is delicious. That and white castle. lol. Gotta eat at least a couple sliders. XD

Since I sometimes go a month or more without eating a particular fast food, when I go back to it, I'll notice the difference in sizes immediately. lol. Theres been a couple times where the jr bacon cheesburger from Wendys has shrunk noticeably twice over the years. And KFC chicken tenders have shrunk so much over the years, if I order a 3 piece meal I usually get 4 pieces of boneless fried chicken that doesn't even resemble tenders anymore, just white meat chicken thats too long to be considered a nugget. Raising Cane's tho on the other hand, thats a f*cking chicken tender.

Back to booze, Bookers was good, but damn it was strong. My tongue has gotten alot more sensitive to salt and alcohol as I age. Weird, but now if something is too high in alcohol it basically burns my tongue. Any mouth wash I use has to be zero alcohol or I'll basically burn my damn tongue. Anything over 35-40% alcohol for me now has to be watered down with something. x_x

You really gotta try that Popeye's Chicken Sandwich, its magical. The chicken paddy is massive. Its pretty simple though, It's just a big succulent chicken paddy with some zesty sauce and pickles. I love Arby's but its the furthest chain from me so I don't go too often. Their social media is on point though. Raising Cains. ah yes, that's very Similar to Foosackly's but Foo is better (better sauce selection, and bacon queso fries option). There is also another tender chain called PDQ which I really liked, but ours shut down for some reason. I'm surprised they even have a Cains up that far north. Foo is superior because its a local thing and the chicken is super fresh. but Cains is really good. So is Zaxby's but its at the bottom of both Cains and Foo.

Five Guys is so good, but I don't consider them fast food since they cook to order like Whataburger but their prices are pretty high around here. I mean Whataburger is too. You'll pay a good $9-11 for a combo at Whataburger, but its like $15+ at Five Guys for the equivalent. I get the double cheeseburger fully dressed... what can I say? XD Whataburger is a Texas chain, so everything is big. Their medium drink is the size of a route 44 at Sonic. XD In-N-Out is really good too, but there aren't any here. I got to go to one in Vegas and it was really tasty.

I fucking hate BK. Fuck them. Their customer service is absolute trash at every single one I've ever been to in several states. Their burgers are hot garbage. The bun is too dense, and they nuke the damn thing before they give it to you. If I only had a choice between McD's and BK. I'd pick McD's instantly for the rest of my life. BK's chicken fries are the only reason I, on very rare occasions, go there. McD's McRib is my weakness. XD I don't care how many chemicals are in it. Its delicious trash tier BBQ. XDXDXD. But I do crave some McNuggets every now and then. KFC is poor man's Popeyes IMO. The chicken is good, but all their sides are garbage in comparison. Nothing.. and I MEAN ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, beats Popeye's biscuits. Its like they make some Pillsbury Grands and toss them in a pool of salted liquid butter to marinade for a bit. XD You can feel your soul dehydrate with every bite but its soooooo good. XD

The biggest travesty in downsize is McD's Big N Tasty.. which I call the Small n Tasteless now. I remember when it came out in the early 90s. I was a young teen. But the paddy was so big it jutted out of each side of the bun. The Monster Burger from Hardee's is a close second. Back when they had super models half naked eating them on TV, they were so good. The monster burger was insanely huge... and then Ruby Tuesdays had the ultimate colossal burger which was even bigger. XD

Back to Booze like you said. Bookers is so good, but yes it BUUURNS. I prefer Blanton's because its unfiltered like Bookers but the taste is way smoother in a Gentleman's Jack type way..... But way to be a pansy on mouth wash. XD I use the maximum 7 action burning Listerine. If it doesn't feel like my gums are melting, I feel like its not working. XD I endure the pain for 40 seconds before spitting it out. The incineration of my gums, tongue, and cheek lining, convinces me that all germs have been eradicated.

      XDXDXD Lady loves those BK chicken fries which is why we go there. Arbys is right there so I'll hit up BK for her and then Arbys for me sometimes, especially if its happy hour at Arbys. I think its 2-4 pm at Arbys, during happy hour all the sliders are knocked down to $1 each and I'll order a combo and a couple extra jalapeno roast beef sliders, or just skip a combo and get nothing but a variety of sliders. lol. I got thinking about it and its hard to consider Five Guys fast food since there is no drive through. I suppose its more of the fast causal restaurant. What I don't get is why some of these fast food places have different menus depending on what state you're in. I know they're all franchises, so maybe the individual owners don't have to carry certain things. But 5 guys in ohio that my parents go to sells a variety of shakes and even have sweet potato fries. All the 5 guys near me don't offer either of those. And your McD's still sells the Big N Tasty!? I haven't seen one of those in years. First they shrank and then they were gone. That was my go to sandwich, but no McD's near me have had these in forever. McD's here is horrible with their staff. Incompetence. They have double lane drivethroughs and every time theres one drive through that gets served faster. Last time I was at one, I got in the second lane, the first lane had 3 cars have their order taken before I was served. wtf. I ordered a Quarter pounder deluxe and when I got my food I got the bacon quarter pounder. At that point I wasted so much time there I didn't feel like going in to complain. -_-;

Most of the fast food places you've mentioned I've had to google. XD I've never seen them. XD There is a popeyes in my region, but its like a 30 minute drive one way. I plan on going there eventually. If I want a really good more gourmet style burger I'll go to Red Robin. I've only eaten there once, but damn if that burger wasn't delicious and the honey mustard sauce they have is truly unique for dipping fries in. lol.

McD's rib sandwich is a rip off. XD I say that because I swear to god they are using Banquet Rib patties.

      banquet_rib2.thumb.jpeg.b5a5c1f036ddb9c6ef1cd5539c4c0c17.jpegbanquet_rib.jpeg.d2c9956c9ae4606abfdee6d5f4a5598a.jpeg

Thats the mcrib right there. XD Its $1 at walmart, microwave it, put it on a bun with a couple pickles and you can have a mcrib whenever you want. XD It tastes good to me and I eat them often enough that when the McRib comes out, I swear the tastes is so damn similar that the McRib looses all "limited time!" appeal to me. XD Banquet even sells just the rib patties in a family six 6 pack so you don't have to even deal with those potatoes and hard corn. XD

Ultimate burn listerine. XD Screw that. lmao! XD

  2. Ratchet & Clank is a blast. Its been so long since I've played the first game, I can't remember of any resemblance of it in this one. I remember the story, and its definitely told a bit differently here. The visuals are pixar quality for sure.

Sounds fun. :D Back in the day I had the chance to play Ratchet & Clank and never did. I regretted that. Instead I played Crash Bandicoot. That was fun at the time but all these years later Ratchet & Clank looks like the better franchise.

R&C is def better than Bandicoot. Bandiicoot was just a regular platformer. R&C along with platforming and various puzzles, has always had an amazing array of weapons, tools, and abilities. Not only that it's always had an interesting upgrade system to go along with each weapon. Although the games have always been super easy, this preorder weapon I got is ultra OP. XD I've stopped using it after I maxed it by the 3rd planet I was on just to play with other weapons. Its really one of those games you just sit back and enjoy without any frustrating moment. The story has always been great, the check points are beyond forgiving on death, and its just an all around casual good time. :P

You really know how to sell a game. *is tempted to buy* :D

  3. Red Dead Redemption 2 is a testament to what single player games can be when you spend years developing them rather than 1-2 years and throw them out there with endless sequels. It would take me a few hours to hammer out my initial thoughts on this game. The level of detail is truly spectacular. My one concern was having to juggle all the health/stamina and weapon maintenance, but somehow Rockstar made it very uncumbersome to where its there, but you don't really have to worry about it every few minutes... I've gone hours without having to rest or use consumables. I've found myself getting lost in just tracking/hunting for hours. The amount of random side content is astonishing. After I get off work tomorrow, I'll have a whole week to dive into it and get lost. I'm really looking forward to it.

  4. Revision 5 has some nice legendary pistol skins.  I blew 1800 scrap to get the automatico twice. -_-; I'm probably going to just save up for a week they have a legendary Frommer Stop and Martini-Henry.

  5. RIP Jerry Lewis. I remember watching Dean Martin/Jerry Lewis movies when I was young. He made me laugh as a child.

I still want to see The Day the Clown Cried. Apparently he donated a copy to the Library of Congress in 2015 with a 10 year stay on it. It wont be until 2025 before anyone has a chance to view it, and even then there are a bunch of issues with the rights. He never wanted anyone to ever see it... at least while he was alive.

R.I.P. Jerry. I'll always remember watching his telethons when i was a kid.

I somehow did not know about that movie The Day the Clown Cried until I read about it just now. I looked up some details about it and the basis of that movie sounds like nothing he'd ever do. Now I'm intrigued by it because it supposedly ends tragically.

  6. Sadly I had to give some money to Gamestop for a Pro Controller. I really wanted a charging grip, but no one has them and when they come up, people snatch them up so fast you don't even get the email notification you signed up for that they're available. I wish people would wait instead of giving money to resellers on Ebay. If they all got burnt, no one would do this stupid garbage. I've been trying to help a friend get a preorder on a Switch, but every time someone posts on reddit that someone it taking preorders they are gone within 8 minutes of the post. Its amazing how people can dedicate their time and sit there all day hitting refresh on every retailer site and reddit.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Its Nintendo's fault for consistently making a small supply of every product. Nintendo probably has the largest share of video game products resold on ebay. Even now on ebay the majority of the resold Switchs are being sold for $450+. I've read plenty of articles and forum topics on places like cheap ass gamer and others where people openly talk about how they would buy the maximum of a game when it goes on sale for resale. Same with consoles, unless there is a limit on the site, there are people that will drop $2k on as many consoles they can order to sell on ebay because they could easily make a 75% profit on their investment.

I guarantee the website everyone on reddit is looking at is this:

      https://www.nowinstock.net/videogaming/consoles/nintendoswitch/

Don't look at reddit, watch this site instead. Bots constantly refresh the seller's sites to see when something is available again. Once it is, it'll be on this first, then 5 mins later will show up on reddit after someone get their pre-order secured. This is the site I looked at religiously when I was pre-ordering my PS4 and it worked great for me.

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Pfft, Pro Controllers. Who uses those? :P

Meh, this is why you don't pre-order consoles. It's just not worth the hassle trying to find a place to get a pre-order at and who needs a console at launch honestly (especially with the lack of launch titles the Switch even has)? This is why I wait a few months until stores get more stock in before I buy my consoles (worked wonders for when I bought my PS4 (though I did have to go to 4 different stores before I finally found one that had them in stock (ironically it was Wal-Mart in which I could of just bought one at the one I worked at))). Ironically I love how Nintendo said there wouldn't be a stock shortage for this launch and we already have one a month before its release. GG Nintendo, way to drop the ball again.

    3. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I must play Zelda tho XD. No one has the charging grip, and gamestop was the only one with the pro controller in stock. I'm not waiting 3 hours for the joy cons to charge the day I get my Switch. I'm gonna boot it up and play immediately. As far as I know the only way the Joycons charge is via the charging grip or connecting it to the switch in mobile mode, but docked. I'm not playing on a small screen either while I wait for Joy Cons to charge. Sure they'll have some juice in them upon arrival, but probably a few hours at best.

  7. Saw Guns N Roses last night. What an amazing show. They may be old now, but they still put on one of the best concerts I've ever seen. Axl can still hit those high notes, but you can def tell they were spacing the more vocally intense songs out between their softer ones. It didn't matter. I got to see Slash live and he delivered. Plus watching Axl play piano while Slash did his thing during November Rain reminded me of a time when artists were actually musicians and not auto-tuned pretty faces.

    1. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Lucky you. I'd really love to see them live especially since I love most of their catalog and because Slash is one of my all time favorite guitarists (I'm happy to see Axl and Slash put aside their differences for this, GNR isn't GNR without those two in my opinion).

  8. Settled on a 1060 card... paid $100 more than what it was selling for a few months ago, but I'm left with no choice with how my current card is acting at times. I basically only every play GW2 anyways an its good enough for it.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Nice. XD And good luck with your graphics card. Hopefully geforce wont screw up your video clips with lag like I've been experiencing for over a month now. x_x

I probably wont record. XD Yeah the pressure was on. Normally I tag up and no one joins me when we do it with TTS. I did the shrouded ruins WP as usual and soloed it the entire time pretty much. If I would have been on my guard It would have failed because I wouldn't have had enough DPS to kill everything before the meter filled. I barely made it out on the 2nd to last attack phase with a 95% meter. X_X I had 3-4 join my squad but no one was on the camp until the last phase before choppers. Then I said I was doing Pat and next thing I know I have more than 20 people in my squad, so I'm like "I can't die or get downed at all!" XD I even helped on Pile of Guano afterward to look more bad ass. XD

  9. Since I used my last Citizen Eco-Drive for 12-13 years before the band broke and I left it in the dark for too long, I ordered myself another one. Got a killer deal off jomashop.com. the watch is $725 MSRP and I paid $349. Considering amazon had it listed for $540 I feel I got an unreal price for a titanium timepeice.

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

This is the one i picked up. I love Citizen watches. They look better than Rolex and Omegas IMO. But they dont cost $5-45k XD I couldn't pay that much for a watch even if I was rich. Sure they last forever because they don't need batteries, but a spring or gear can still break or wear and its probably ungodly to get fixed since automatic watches are such a dying art. Citizen is solar powered and as long as you don't do what I did, they'll last a good 25 years until the cell needs to be replaced. Plus this one has a sapphire crystal so the lens shouldn't get all beat up like my old one did.

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Thats a damn nice watch. I had a coworker that loved his Rolex. I just don't see the appeal in wearing $5k minimum on your wrist, that basically advertises yourself as a target for thieves. Some ppl like my old coworker see it as a display of wealth and personal achievement. To each their own I guess. A watch like the one you got is great tho. If you're going to get a watch, get a good one. As for me, I just pull out my phone to see the time. XD I used to wear watches way back in the day, but I'll probably never wear one again. I type way too much every day and the watch bands shred up my keyboard wrist cushions and aggravate my wrist after 8 hours of pressure.

    3. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I watched a video on Rolex the other night and they aren't even hand made outside of placing the logo inside the face. They are mass produced by machines and really only seem to be valued on their heritage and the fact that they make everything in house. I looked through a bunch of models just for fun and they all seem rather bland... I guess because of their old fashion nature. I'm a feature driven person and it seems you can get more features in a watch in the $200-700 range. One's that are truly handmade are astronomical. I see some on Jomashop for $400k+. With how bad my S6 battery life is, I figured a new timepiece will alleviate some of the strain... plus titanium is super light so I'm excited to see how it feels for being such a large face watch.

  10. Since the founding of Kickstarter I've only backed one project and that was Kung Fury. XD I recently backed two more projects. A new wallet and a retro style watch.

I honestly don't get the whole "minimalist" wallet thing. I think it's pretty dumb actually. Before this fad even started it was hard enough for me to find a wallet with enough card slots to begin with. I have a debit card, drivers licenses, concealed carry permit, Social security card, health insurance card, dental insurance card, Kohl's card, and 3 credit cards (Visa, Master, Discover). Now that everywhere takes Visa I kinda wish I didn't have all 3, but there was a time Sam's club only took discover, and my master card was my first line of credit that just got upgraded to a mastercard when it was originally just a sears card. XD Anyways all in all I have 12-14 cards, and I feel like I always need them in case of an emergency. I don't carry cash, so the whole billfold that only holds 1 card... I don't know how people do it. I backed this Grip6 wallet because I've been using their belts and they're amazing. I also break belts a lot since I only use 1 for everything and I'm very active at my job. If it wasn't for the leather sleeve that increases card capacity to 14, i wouldn't have bothered. It's a cool concept. I use my debit card multiple times a day. All my cards that pay for stuff will go into the pop up slot. My lesser used cards like insurance and ID will go in the leather sleeve.

I've also reinvigorated my love for watches. I own 3 in my rotation. I've lost my love for metal bracelet watches as I always break them, and leather I ruin from sweating at my job so much. I just ordered a canvas strap to replace a leather band actually. But I also love analogue watches. I don't like pulling my phone out to look at the time, its just easier to look at my wrist. I've always had a watch since I was 14. I'll never be one of those serious watch collectors that owns $5000 watches... thats too extreme. I stay under $400. I've been looking for something retro and classy to add to my collection.. buying real vintage watches is out of the question so I found this... but its only half funded with 27 days left so It may not become a thing.

I'll never back a kickstarter game after all the shenanigans over the past couple of years, but recently I've found it to be a good source of finding things that no one else is making to my needs. I still did my research on the company/owner before backing, but hopefully I get two decent products. With all the crazy OT I've been getting lately I have the luxury to splurge a little.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

That Kohls cash bonus worked amazing last black friday. If I was looking at the regular prices, its crazy, but with the sales along with the coupons and kohls cash bonus it makes it a good deal. I just don't get the marketing involved with all the coupon codes and kohls cash. Its like they want people to see the great savings and jump through extra hoops to get it. But its definitely better quality than walmart clothing.

Flex waists ftw. XD I was hesitant at first with flex waists because they looked like they'd be thick and uncomfortable. Nope. So much more relax fitting for me, especially since I have to sit all day for work. Standing up I want my pants to be fitting right, but sitting down I don't want the waist crushing into my stomach. Flex waist is amazing. XD

Walmart is the same way with their pants. XD I can almost never find my size, but they'll have 30 inch or 48 inch XXL no problem. XD I use to wear 36 and then 38, but now I'm down to a 32. I still can't find 32 in stock most of the time. As I've gotten older I tend to prefer sit as hip style relax jeans instead of at waist.. mostly because my hips and waist are an odd shape and at waist pants always drag down to my hips anyway. But then I want 29 inch length instead of 30 and nobody has 32x29 at hip relax flex waist. Thats my ideal jeans. XD

I need new boots but I might go back to bass pro shop for those. I have no idea what brand I should get tho.. I want something cheap, but decent looking for going out in public while still keeping my feet warm. I can still use my big ass insulated lacrosse boots for shoveling, but they are not the best looking boot for going out in public. lol.

I don't know about having too many lines of credit affecting the score, but too much debt definitely does. I know at one point I canceled a credit card and it didn't affect my credit score. I haven't looked at my report in a couple years so I can't remember if that card is still shown on it or not. 805 credit score is beastly, no wonder the car sales person was shocked. XD An 805 credit score can get you just about any line of credit or loan and get the best rate. For example, to qualify for a house, people need their credit to be at least 630 or so I believe, but the higher the credit score the better the mortgage rate. My credit was 780 when I got approved for my house. But house loans also require underwriting where the bank looks at everything. Credit score, work employment, length of employment, income to debt ratio, living expenses, bank accounts to verify savings of around 10% of the cost of the house to cover down payment, closing costs, inspections, etc.. and the house's value and taxes value in comparison to income and payment ability. I mention that underwriting because after they did all that for me and got me my approval for the house.. once I got the loan my credit score slowly dropped down to 680 in the following months. I have a lot of credit card debt, but I think getting the mortgage actually hit my credit score harder than the underwriting.. but I think in terms of credit score it only counted as a single inquiry into my credit. But I got another credit card for my lawn tractor in May and put over $1700 on it for the tractor. Over the last handful of months my credit score actually went back up to 720 or so.. because I got another line of credit I guess. wtf.

Another odd thing, 5 years ago when I paid off my car loan, my credit score was 780 then too.. then like 2 months after I paid it off, my credit score dropped to 740.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Yeah paying off definitely hurts a little which is silly. I think instead of too much debt its how much debt compared to how much credit you have. I was almost $80-90k in debt at one point between my credit cards and my student loans. But thanks to discover cards ridiculously huge credit line I was still $40k under my total limit. XD I think having everything maxed out is what gets you. Credit card debt apparently is a science to the formula. I got myself into some trouble loading them all up, but I never maxed them out and I always paid on time more than the minimum, even if it was $10 more than the minimum. I have everything on autopay the minimum just so I don't miss if I forget.  I was like $30k in debt in just credit cards at one point. Now I have 2 lines with only around $500 each, and my Discover is at $6800 which I really need to work on better. Every year I had been using a large chunk of my tax returns to pay off the cards.

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Yeah that's what I need to do. I have a card maxed out right now. It's a pain. Buying the house ended up with us buying a crap load of stuff for the house. In the end we did to much this first year. Now we're in pay off mode. X_x

  11. Skritt Stashes are disabled because of a exploit that allowed you to open them without consuming a contract. -_-; I just want to farm them legit. Hopefully they fix them from getting stuck in rocks too if anything.

I only have 5k unbound magic tho. I still have to max out my karma boost and it'll cost me 5k unbound magic and 200 bloodstone rubies for that ascended back pack with viper stats... Yeah I'm thinking about making that viper set for my necro again. XD

  12. So far Netflix is 1 for 3 on their new series. Sword Gai was ok, but it was more like a GARO/Guyver type clone. B: The Beginning could have been better written. Maybe its the story structure that is throwing me off as they are definitely more western in flow. I'll probably watch both for another season. Children of the Whales was pretty enjoyable and my favorite of the three. I definitely look forward for its most definite second season. It was pretty charming in a Studio Ghibli way.

  13. So I preordered the standard edition of Destiny 2. I'll let you know if downloading the Beta is worth it since I'll get early access. I have a feeling there might not be any open world like D1. They haven't shown any at all if you think about it. They'll probably just be a strike, the first mission, and PvP. I hope I'm wrong, because I'd rather just run around a map and test out weapons more than anything else.

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

My biggest interest going into this beta is class diversity. I just saw where Hunter has a trait line where the staff does double damage per hit and they were just destroying the Titan during their shield ult. A rock paper scissors approach would be nice. Although Warlock still looks like the master race. I doubt I'll use dawnblade much though. I'm in love with blink... and with my custom controller I'll really love it. (beaing able to jump, crouch, AND melee without ever taking your thumbs off the sticks is so underrated) Void Walker is what I'll be testing out most of the time. You hunter mains can be jealous of Titan and Warlock super jumps, but I like Warlocks shortest jump the best. XD Interesting how they took blink away from Hunter though, and they basically split the Titan bubble ability between the Titan and Warlock. Those Warlock rifts are going to be super powerful in group content. But Warlock gets a lot more utility than everyone else. In some sort of shitty trinity Titan is Tank, Hunter is DPS, and Warlock is a support god that can tank and DPS it feels like. In D1 Titan was a Tank and Support and Warlocks and Hunters were DPSers. Bungie doesn't have the trinity down right it feels like.... I would say Warlock got the GW2 Elementalist treatment from John Ryan, but he doesn't even work for Bungie anymore. Probably for the best... we don't need a Trahearne in D2. XD

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

They need to get the voice actor of Trahearne to play the ghost and every time you need to interact with something it'll say "Guardian, a word please." XD

  14. So I'm lazy and I'm getting old to where I can't really stand to wear contact for +20 hours a day anymore. I've had cheap ass back up glasses for 2 years ever since I got a viral pink eye and couldn't wear contacts for a week. Needless to say, they def weren't meant for heavy long term use. One pair already had the lens coating dry up and chip away, and the pair I'm wearing now has one of the lenses hanging on for dear life. My first and only decent pair of glasses were purchased back in 2003... they were almost $500 at the time. Compared to the $180 I paid for the two pair I've gone through in 2 years. I went to day and dropped $360 on titanium flex frames with Nikon HD transition lenses. I guess glasses tech has become a little cheaper since 2003 because these have more features than my first pair. (Yes I'm aware of the artificial price inflation of glasses)

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Thats better at least. Transitions made me rage so hard I never got them again. Back when I did alot of car work, my glasses would near instantly tint up because of the sunlight, but then I'd take a tire off, start looking at the brakes and realized I couldn't see shit in the shade because my glasses were to dark. Same with getting under the car. It was like wearing sunglasses constantly without being able to turn them off because it would take at least 5 mins to un-tint if they even did because of how much sunlight was outside even if I was in the shade. I wait a bit, start looking at the brake caliper, realized I needed a different size socket, reached for one, reach back and boom my glasses were full on tint again. Oh how that pissed me off. lol. Meanwhile my dad loves his transitions and hes had them on all his glasses since transitions was first introduced and swears by them.

My current glasses have a Crizal coating. I'll only get this crizal from now on. It is superior anti-glare for driving at night and for staring at a computer monitor all day. I have had less eye strain for the last 2 years I've been using it, which helps since I was getting ocular migraines for a while. I've only had one of those migraines in the last 2 years where I was getting them at least 2-3 times a year. Driving at night is the most noticeable difference with it. Headlights will still have a flare to them, but all my other glasses made driving at night the equivilant of a J.J. Abrams movie. XD Lens flare everywhere and headache inducing.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

ROTFLMAO! XD I'll keep these as backup in my car again if that ever happens. I had this pair under the passenger side sun visor. I'm not paying for Rx sunshades, or using one of those 80s clip ons. XD The sun would always be in my eyes when I worked morning shifts, but I don't have those anymore really. As soon as I don't get transition, I'll have a life changing event where the sun is glaring in my eyes driving down the road each morning again.

I thought it was pretty cool they weren't like "YES YOU NEED THIS" though. It was an extra $60. The vision center is like a different world from Wal-Mart. They're always so nice and caring.

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

LOL. The transitions annoyed me while driving too. XD The transition effect is nice but it doesn't cut sun glare while driving like sunglasses at all. And most car glass blocks the UV so the transitions effect won't kick in at all. Your car might be a 2004, but did the windshield ever get replaced by safelite before because of a crack? If so, expect no transition effect. :P I use those 80s style clip on sunglasses. XD My current glasses came with a magnetic clip on one that is more discreet than others, but I have an extra clip on one in my kitchen for when I walk around the yard in the sun.

  15. So they are making more Code Geass, and Lelouch is going to be in it? Um what? Plz Sunrise. I just watched one of the most well crafted stories with amazing closure, and now there is going to be more? I wonder how?

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I got a notification about it from myanimelist the other day. It feels like a cash grab to me at this point. It ended perfectly and now they're going to negate the best stuff from the original series by bringing people back from the dead. This is why I stopped watching Gotham. When nobody dies or they just come back to life then there is no more sense of danger or purpose.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Unless Lelouch becomes an immortal like CC and they explain it well, I don't see how it can work. But if he does and gives someone else the power of Geass, then it may be interesting.

  16. So total gut punch this week. The company I've worked for for almost 17 years of my life is closing the store I work at after filing bankruptcy. The lease is up on our building, and despite being probably the 4th best grossing store in the district, we're all out of a job by next month. And they couldn't have done a shittier job of letting anyone know. They just stopped shipping our dry grocery and perishable orders 2 days before they told us, and blamed it on "transmission errors".

But Luckily I have some solid connections and already lined up a job at Publix, which I feel is the future and should have jumped ship a few years ago. I was too complacent with my tenure and vacation time. But I'm only losing around $1.48 an hour just to throw stock full time and not be a manager. That's how much better they pay. Hopefully I'll be working different hours to where I can play games with everyone again. But for now its peace of mind since I just bought a new car.

Wal-Mart doesn't have as much dominance here as they do else where, they do build a lot of locations to try and put others out of business, and they do indeed hurt competitors, but they don't kill them. People despise Wal-Mart in my area with a passion. When I first started the grocery business there was just Wal-Mart, Delchamps, Bruno's, Food World, and my company Winn-Dixie. WD focused on customer service and superior meat products, and it served us well. Delchamps was a unionized chain, they went out of business simply because the wages got too high and you couldn't downsize to stay alive because of union rules. People may think I'm crazy to be pro right to work over unions, but I've seen what it does to companies. High wages is only as good if the company can stay in business. Unions may be a good thing in different industries, but it doesn't work for the retail world.

Bruno's soon followed by getting bought out several times and just eventually died. Winn-Dixie being the only legitimate competition to Wal-Mart out of the blue decided they wanted to go with lower prices. Lowing prices means less money from sales. You'll naturally underperform from the previous year when everything costs less... and along with the CEO being a greedy fuck, things started going south. Payroll was cut, less people in the stores, customer service went down. We were told to perform at the same standards with half of what we had. Obviously that's impossible. Eventually we hit bankruptcy for the first time in 2005. Companies generally NEVER survive this. I can't think of a single big retailer that ever has... but we did thanks to hurricane Katrina. Partly because we opened back up first, generating a reputation of being there for the community, and partly because we totally ripped off the insurance company by reporting much higher losses than we really had. You won't find that on any record, but as the guy that was scanning out each item 10-15 times, I can tell you everyone was doing it because they were told to do it.

Once again our prosperity was squandered by wasteful execs taking private plane trips instead of 2 hour drives to prance around stores and tell you that you needed to do better. In 2011 we once again filed for bankruptcy and were purchased by a private equity firm that owned BI-LO. This was the writing on the wall, as since then everything got progressively worse each year with more position slashing, hour cutting, and draconian inventory control. We were no better than a third rate off brand cost savers chain. By this time Publix and Rouses Markets moved in to add brand new competition we haven't faced in years. Publix reminded me of what we once were. They loaded their store with hours and groceries. Prices are high but customer service is #1. When you make high end stores, you don't cater to people with food stamps or low income in general. It just doesn't work, they wont buy anything that isn't on sale, and they'll go to Wal-Mart for that.

So as of Wednesday, WD filed bankruptcy again for the 3rd time. Publix is a Fortune 100 top company to work for, and they are employee owned, so no CEO. Their assistant department heads make more than I did as a MOD, and their MOD's make double what I was making. I look forward to the new opportunity.

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Congrats on the new job. I hope it works out well for you. I hate how ceo's and the higher executives make literally hundreds or thousands per hour compared to the average worker. Some people say it's because they are never off the clock and they're literally on call 24/7 but that's a load of crap. It's like those toys r us corporate employees with their million dollar bonuses they give to themselves literally months before bankruptcy.

Wal-Mart is strong I  the grocery department here but their meats suck ass. And i know for a fact almost everything is delivered to the store frozen. All the hamburger meat, chicken breast, everything has already been frozen before. Even all their deli/ bakery fresh cookies. The biggest grocery stores here are Wegmans. That place is quality that Wal-Mart will never achieve with its current grocery business model. The fruit at wegmans is so good I have never once seen a single bad strawberry in a package. That store is open 24/7 and it's always busy. Costco is another recent major competitor. And Topps is still in business for now until they go bankrupt.

    3. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Yeah Wal-Mart isn't about to pay a butcher $20 an hour. Nothing beats fresh meat, especially when it comes to beef. Chicken is always prepackaged everywhere you go, but not necessarily frozen. Companies aren't going to take the risk with salmonella, its not worth it with everyone looking to sue you for anything... and honestly I wouldn't trust any business... there is always someone being lazy. XD

  17. Someone already 3 manned Destiny's new raid and I heard the story was really short. I don't get people that still put money into this game.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I think its been a year since I last played Destiny and even though I told myself I'd watch the raids on youtube because I know I'd never play them, but I never did. And I have no interest in watching them even now. I highly doubt I'll ever buy a Destiny 2. The newest raid with the bulldozer thing does look pretty cool, but only cool enough to watch a couple clips of it and move on to the next thing. I don't mind grinding in a game to an extent as long as I'm not bored. If I'm grinding a MMO like guild wars 2, I have the game muted and I'm watching TV while gathering items for gold. But grinding in a FPS game like Destiny is never going to happen for me again. It takes up all my attention because of the nature of the encounters and gameplay. I did it initially because I thought it was a one time grind, get my gear maxed out and I'd be set to enjoy the game with new content releases. Nope. Every dlc/expansion meant all my grinding was pointless. I'm never doing that again. Thats way too much of a time sink for me.

The RNG and raid exclusive weapons were also the worst I've ever seen in any game. I don't mind seeing exclusive looking weapon skins from doing raid content but when people get rewarded with exclusive weapons with noticeable advantages it leaves me feeling salty. I still remember getting torn up by a vex mythoclast in those early year 1 iron banners, same with the original gally. Aside from that first week gally was in the xur shop, we never saw it again for a year. Only the early access people got enough coin saved up fast enough to buy it that week. In hindsight I think it might have been done completely intentionally so all their early alpha testers and youtubers that were promoting the game would get it guaranteed because they knew the value of it and had enough time to get the coins needed.

      Quote

The plan, from what I’ve heard, is for Destiny 2's planet areas to feel more populated with towns, outposts, and quests that are more interesting than the patrol missions you can get in Destiny.

      http://kotaku.com/sources-destiny-2-coming-to-pc-aims-to-feel-like-a-to-1787153460

Honestly, this is what I expected from the first game. And to succeed on PC, their going to have to make a completely different game. It damn well better be a Diablo 2 style improvement over Diablo. If the Anet talent picked up early last year still has his creative pull, maybe it will be a better solo experience. Renown Hearts coming to Destiny!XD

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

lmao. Their own version of Renown Hearts might actually happen. XD

Towns, outposts, quests, (ambient life), NPC quests.. all that should have been in Destiny 1. If Destiny 2 is really going to be a 'totally different game' then I'll definitely wait on playing it (if I do at all), until the first 2 or 3 expansions come out a year after the game is released and is no longer in beta quality. Even then there will be other games in my backlog at that point like Fallout 4 or some other RPG FPS games.

  18. Sometimes its laughable how bad western entertainment can mangle/misunderstand or don't care to even try to be accurate with eastern content to this day. I just watched a "Top 10" Godzilla villains video where the rules were that no one that was a frequent ally would be included in the list... and then they put King Caesar who was never a villain save for one time he was being mind controlled. I mean wtf? He's a huge ally in one of the most memorable movies in the whole damn franchise... and then they pick Anguirus?! Literally Godzilla's best friend lore-wise? Because they fought in 1 film as enemies, and another again being mind controlled. If that wasn't enough, Rodan was an honorable mention yet again breaking their rule for those not to be included. The rest of the list was spot on.. ironically Mechagodzilla was #2 (rightfully so) where they heavily emphasized the first film over the new age ones... you know... where Caesar was an ally. XD What a train wreck. At least King Ghidorah was #1. Gigan and Destoroyah rounded up the top 4. The commentator called Destoroyah "Destroyah". -_-;

  19. Spoiler Alert for Iron Blooded Orphans. Funi put up the rest of season 2. Seriously fuck off... it's been a while since I've so mad about a character death. The way they killed Lafter was gut wrenching. I though Biscuit's death was bad, but fuck that was so fucked up. :(

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Honestly I can't really take "fans" too seriously anymore. I see comments on Funi's post about some random new series thats not gundam and someone just posts "Dubs are trash, and so is this anime, watch Gundam UC timeline". I'm like bruh, this isn't an anime forum 20 years ago... (Think about that We've all known each other for 17-20 years now. XD)

I really dug the grey area aspect of the story in season 2. There wasn't really a good or bad side per-say. I respect what McGillis was after, and in the end it came to fruition in a way. Elion seemed like not to bad of a guy in the end, even if his ways were a bit convoluted getting there. Tekkadan was just caught in all the wrong places. Orga's death was sad, but it didn't hurt like Lafter's. It was a given that he was a target, so it wasn't much of a surprise. Lafter's death was so senseless off something so petty, it was hard to swallow... especially after the development she had been getting as you said.

Even though S2 was better. My favorite moment was when Mikazuki freight trained Carta without warning when she challenged Tekkadan to a 3v3 duel. XD  I love small anti-cliche moments like that. It reminded me of Mugen in Samurai Champloo when a little kid was being held hostage and his holder was like "don't you care if this boy lives or dies?!" and he was like "naaaah, not really" and started kicking ass. XD

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Oh and Bael was my favorite mecha of the series.

    3. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Heh, good god how the time flies and boy has the anime forum mentality sure evolved (well depending on where you go. The MAL forums could be pretty toxic back when they were still up).

Yea, Orga's death more or less felt forced for plot sake. I understand why they took that method (I mean leader of Tekkadan, master of Mikazuki and the Barbatos, and what have you) but it wasn't exactly necessary (even if it did rile Mikazuki up and force the final battle). McGillis, while I admire what he was after, went about it in the worst possible way (ala Zechs in GW) and caused so much unneeded death.

That was a great moment. The lack of care Mikazuki shows while in battle is amazing. "Oh you want a fair fight, no dice" *proceeds to dash in and murder everyone* This is why he's one of my favorite characters from the show. Yea, he's pretty much emotionless outside of talking to those who he cares about but he is probably one of the best pilots in any Gundam show based purely on instinct alone.

If it doesn't show already my favorite mech is the Barbatos Lupus Rex, such a finely tuned piece of machinery (not to mention it literally took 7 Dainsleifs to finally bring him down to Julieta's level of fighting (though he was practically dead at that point) and he still took out most of her soldiers before she "won").

I just finished this and It was probably my favorite Netflix Original. They slowly moved away from the comedy and kept it to a minimum as the story got serious. It worked well as keeping the type of comedy they used would have gotten bland with heavy usage.

I assume Netflix Original means they merely did the dub work. Between Seven Deadly Sins, Ajin, and Kuromukuro, I'd say they did a great job so far. Although they use a lot of the same talent that Funi uses. The female lead also voices Sailor Venus/Lucy Heartfilia and the male lead also voiced Vash the Stampede. I also found some familiars in the supporting cast like Milly Ashford, Inspector Zenigata, and Lelouch Lamperouge. A lot of the supporting cast hasn't done much in Funi's circle so it's nice to hear different voices every once in a while. Not everyone is as talented as Christopher Sabat.

Just wait until you play season 2. It's even better. But damn I do miss Lee. That dude was awesome. He was one of the best characters I've seen in a game in years. When I was watching "fear the walking dead" I had recently beaten this game. They accomplished in that game what would have been an amazing tv series. And the TV series we got instead was a big mess of a failure. I had a significantly bigger emotional attachment to these game characters that I felt horrible when something happened to them. But in Fear TWD any if these characters can get killed off and I wouldn't give a damn.

I dunno. I mean if you have everything else you want it is kinda worth it. My DH has 15k HP now from vital infusions on my ascended armor/trinkets. XD that's absurd for Guardian.

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

All of my infusion slots are full of agony resistance. x_x The only way I can add power is to make those expensive things. But the fractal mastery does have a vendor that lets me extract infusions for 24 silver per piece of armor. I've used it so many times swapping AR around. I made sure to save my +20 exp and +20 magic find infusions that I bought with laurels. If I can finally put high level fractals to the curb I'll swap some of this AR over to power infusions and save the AR ones for a rainy day. I really wish AR was an account bound upgrade thing like a mastery and not tied to armor slots.

Same with me. I tried playing Injustice last week... I couldn't get past the tutorial ten minutes in. XD

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

The whole thing is so complex now. You have the traditional weak to strong punches and kicks. and now there is these V-moves, and throws, counter throws. The timing is way more precise because the jumps feel so short. I really didn't enjoy it. I still like games like Smash Bros because of its simplicity in move sets but depth because of it. But I guess just moving two sticks around and mashing shoulder buttons atrophied my gaming muscles from the SNES/Genesis days. I use to have a callus on my thumb from fighting games.

Competitive gaming really sucked the fun out of the fighting genre for me... much like it has the FPS scene.

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I loved street fighter 2 back in the day. I had that callus to. XD if street fighter V sounds overly complex like Injustice. My hands aren't what they used to be and my controller is 5 years old and sucks. XD competitive gamers can have the genre I guess.. onto one of my other 200 games in my back log. XD

I do like smash bros but last one if those I played was on gamecube. I bet the more recent one costs a thousand dollars to buy all the characters via DLC. That in itself sucks the fun out of all the fighting games to.

  24. Super Mario Odyssey comes out Friday. I'm pretty excited as it will be the first Mario game I've played since Sunshine. But Stranger Things also comes out that day, and I'm going to see Jigsaw that night. too much shit happening at once. X_X

      DeathscytheX

Nah, it was a tradition for SAW 1-7, I asked off for it to keep it going. XD

Sunshine was amazing, they'll probably never port it unless it came with a special gamecube controller. The water jets were button pressure sensitive, and all 3 consoles ditched that tech this generation.

    3. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Wow its only a 5gig download. With as large as the game is that I've seen from E3, thats pretty crazy. BoTW is almost 14gb if you do digital. But I guess the vast scope of BoTW's map with its crazy terrain, towers, 100+ shrines, and 4 moving dungeons demands more.

  25. Thanks to assholes that kept picking Torbjorn on attack payload, even after someone left and it was 5v6, I ranked lower than last season. Sledgstone

Do more people put headsets on and talk during ranked play? Could it be possible for you to throw your headset on and ask them to swap to a different character? Are there people using chat to breath heavily, play music endlessly and then scream profanity? lol.
