  1. When I watched Tokyo Ghoul season 1 and 2 a few years ago, I thought it was the most over hyped pile of shit I've ever seen. Apparently it didn't follow the manga at all. I've been watching season 3 just because its a simuldub, and while I find it more entertaining, it's so disjointed from the first two seasons, it doesn't make any sense as a whole. Apparently they somewhat decided to start following the manga after skipping a few arcs? Apparently they announced season 4 and it's going to skip more between 3 and 4? What a train wreck... They might as well start over.

I've never seen it but damn that sounds like a disaster.

Don't waste your time. Its crazy how much hype and promotion this anime got. I could imagine how pissed I'd be if it was my favorite manga and they just took random parts of it and adapted it with a ton of liberties. Its worse than passing up the manga and making it up as you go.

The first season was just the main protagonist gets turned into a ghoul. He cries a bunch trying to reject his new reality until he is tortured into being a badass... or so we thought, until season two just makes a train wreck out of it. He joins the antagonist organization and they break some powerful ghoul out of a prison... and you never see that guy again afterwards... there wasn't even an explanation as to why they did it. XD Its like they just did it to showcase a fight. At the end of the season the protagonist disappears. So season 3 starts and he's now apart of a ghoul hunting section of law enforcement, with his personality and memories wiped. He has a new identity and he leads a squad of demi-ghouls while struggling to cope with his old persona leaking through sometimes. No explanation of how, when, or why the most notorious and wanted ghoul was captured and brain washed rather than killed. Apparently you have to read the manga to find out.

Its almost like making Dragonball starting with the General Tao arc, then skipping to the Cell Games of DBZ, and then season 3 takes place in the Universe 6 v 7 arc of DBS. XD

  2. When you go to the DZ solo for the sole purpose of killing 10 cleaners for the weekly and the cleaner boss drops a gear set piece... I didn't need that stress, but I extracted successfully. X_x

Eh, I'll probably attempt it tonight after I do the HM missions when they reset. That 30 creds would give me enough to by the M44 blueprint.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I see now why those weapons are almost 1000 credits... they are 204 gear score. I guess it makes sense now. I bought my striker pads today and I rolled 99% scavenging on them. I'll try my luck in CM drops. I hear you can get a 204 weapon drop if you're lucky.

    3. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Yea I noticed that today when I got on. Nice scavenging score, pretty sure you'll get a 204 HE with that). Finally bought the M44 blueprint and, while I probably didn't get the best rolls on it, the thing is a beast in the test range (almost 108,000 on headshot, almost 152,000 on crit headshot). Can't wait to actually try it out on enemies.

  3. When you play your best games as Mercy ever and no one votes for your card even though you clutch revived the team to victory, and got POTG twice as Mercy. Healers live a underappreciated life, but no one has any problems complaining about not having one. I've almost sunken into fulltime healer on Overwatch because now when I'm not healer, I rage when the one we have sucks. I started playing Ana and Mercy a lot more just to be proficient with them. I'm a trolling beast with Lucio now, to where I can pretty much kill tanks and hit scan heroes doing wall hanging. (Thanks DPStanky for that inspiration) Joke is on everyone else on Double XP weekend though, Healers always get a gold medal for healing... and sadly if I'm Lucio I can pull off 4-5 gold medals if my team is that bad.

    1. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

I never had that problem during the free weekend, I usually always got the votes. Then again I wasn't playing with seasoned veterans like you do so that might be the reason.

If I had the money and we actually had time to play together I'd be your full-time healer, you know how good I am. Meh, it seems a lot of games are falling into this stigma now toward healers. Fuck I rarely get any commendations in FFXIV for keeping people alive when I play Scholar (especially in those fucking hard ass dungeons/raids where healing is a lot harder to do). No love for the support players x.x

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Its Double XP weekend so a lot of people that play for loot boxes rather than fun are on. There were a lot of instances no one picked a tank. If we played, I'd honestly pick Zen in a lot of matches. A team with a main and secondary healer almost always wins against a single healer team. Hell I got paired with a 5 stack the other night were they played Mercy, Zen, Ana, Soldier, Mei. So I tanked every round and we crushed everyone.

On a funny note, I realized today I killed SSSniperwolf multiple times as Genji a few weeks ago. I figured it was just someone that just took the Psn name because I didn't think she played PS4. But she does. I don't really follow her, and when I do see her posts people hate on her saying she's just a pretty face that's not that good... I can confirm. She's not. XD Me and my friends wrecked her team.

  4. With dailies, and my wood node run, I'm neting a cool 5g a day on GW2. If this keeps up, they'll up the rate that wood drops to flood the market. Gold shouldn't be this easy to make. Along with my rare drops it goes up to almost 10g a day.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Inflation is kicking in fast. Everything is going up in price like crazy. Supplies of goods are dropping with ppl buying up surplus with their extra gold. Steel ingots are almost back up to its all time high:

      https://www.gw2tp.com/item/19688-steel-ingot?full=1

And gold to gem conversion is at crazy levels right now and they'll only continue to go up.

  5. With Gliding and the speed of DD, I cleared Lornar's Pass in under 40 min. Wow... so painless. XD

  6. With GW2s new draw distances, Ive noticed a few improvements in the core game, where map textures load further out, but Southsun Cove is a wreck. XD I went there for the first time in a long time for the daily JP and the increased draw makes some parts look funky and incomplete. After thinking about it for a minute while running around, i realized because the horizon is just a solid blue color making the distant textures look odd as if the map was incomplete. It could be the filter I'm running on SweetFX, but its def bizarre. Its the only map like that, that I've noticed. Maybe because its pretty flat and a plateau.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

It might be the sweetfx. I went there yesterday and did karka queen for the first time in half a year and didn't notice anything odd. :P But then again I was streaming the game to my laptop and that always drops the quality a bit. I might have noticed something different if I was directly on my PC.

  7. With my Nintendo Switch memory filling up fast, I pulled the trigger on a MicroSDXC card. I tried to score a cheap 128gb one off eBay when I first got the switch, but the guy ended up being a fraud and I got my measly $20 back when he vanished from Ebay altogether. After reading how there are a lot of SD card fakes out there, I decided to be a bit more careful. I scored a "like-new" Samsung 256GB card off eBay for $99. It says it was previously used in the sub-line, but honestly I don't know if it actually was or not. The only thing "wrong" with it is that it didn't have any packaging (as stated on the product listing), it was just bubble wrapped and inside of the SD adapter. So it could have been used, or it could have just been a damaged box. He had multiple in stock so I'm thinking these may have been factory second type things where someone damaged a pallet at the warehouse crushing several packages. The guy had a 99.5% rating on over 100k sells, so I felt comfortable jumping on it. After the format I have 230gb on my Switch, so it should last me considering how much smaller switch games are compared to PS4.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

It still blows my mind that Nintendo would make the storage in the switch the smallest and most expensive sd card on the market instead of making it use regular size sd cards.

  8. With the summer simuldub season coming to a close, it played out like I predicted more or less. I'll wait a bit longer before I post my review. Pretty lackluster overall. But for me, the Fall Lineup is pretty stacked. Fairy Tail, SAO Season 3, and Black Clover continues which has become a lot more promising after this last arc I just watched... by far its strongest and most compelling. I watched the first episode of Double Decker! Doug & Kirill which was entertaining, and SSSS.GRIDMAN seems to be a Pacific Rim clone. Overall a return to more action adventure series, and lighter on the fan service heavy series.

      Strider Hiryu

The movie is already on sale (https://www.rightstufanime.com/Sword-Art-Online-the-Movie-Ordinal-Scale-Blu-ray). Aniplex still retains the rights to sell all DVD/BD and other merchandise, Funi just got the english stream rights when Sony acquired the company.

The only thing that sucks about Aniplex is they're extremely overpriced for anything you want to buy (fuck the BD's for SAO are still $60 a pop) through them, it's the reason I haven't bought Kill la Kill yet (I paid out my ass for the Gurren Lagann BD boxset, well worth it since it's GL but damn was it expensive (for comparison I just ordered a new mouse and keyboard for $198, $10 more then I paid for GL)).

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

This is why I stream. I don't miss the old days of swapping out discs every few eps. XD I still buy movies, but screw buying series anymore. I remember buying Fullmetal Alchemist for $100 from Moviestop the days when internet retail was in its infancy. I still remember the 20ft shelf at Suncoast Video that held the entire DBZ series on VHS. XD I haven't bought a series in over 16-17 years, but I remember thinking what a load of crap that 4 eps a disc was. Especially after a friend bought me a bootleg rip of Samurai Champloo from Half.com and it was all on a single DVD. Man those were the days when half.com was not regulated and you could get all kinds of burned DVDs for a fraction of the cost. XD DVD RW was a new technology, and anyone that could afford to upgrade was making a serious profit for minimal effort. The only series I'd consider buying is Violet Evergarden if it ever gets a US physical release. Every now and then I feel like dropping netflix, one day I might.

    3. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

God I'd buy Violet Evergarden in a heartbeat if it got a stateside release (I've actually considered importing it but sadly the Japanese don't include English subtitles in their releases and while I understand enough Japanese to get buy it'd be a hard sell for me). Sadly it's very rare for an anime that Netflix has the rights to to get a stateside release (I'd hate to think how much a company would have to pay to get the physical distribution rights because I'm sure Netflix would put up a fight).

Honestly swapping out discs has never annoyed me. Then again I've been doing it for over 20 years that it's just second nature now. I also like supporting the industry where I can, be it paying to stream content or buying the physical release. I do find myself streaming more than I used to, to the point that I rarely download fansubs anymore (only for shows that CR doesn't get the stream rights/simulcasts for) but nothing ever beats the satisfaction of owning the shows for me, knowing that I can watch them anytime I wish without the worry of CR losing the rights to stream them (hell half of my collection isn't even available to stream). I don't just buy anything though, I only buy shows I've seen and have an attachment to (like Aria, Gurren Lagann, Gundam, etc). It's not like 16 years ago where I bought anything I could get my hands on (a lot of my collection is shows I bought on impulse like Generator Gawl and Martian Successor Nadesico (two shows I'd never heard of and two shows I actually really enjoyed)). Plus I don't spend money on much anymore. I buy maybe 2 games a year now, rarely buy movies, with my Spotify subscription I rarely buy CD's anymore, rarely buy books anymore (which I hate, reading is my favorite past time but I just don't have time to do it anymore), and I rarely eat our/go to movies/or go out drinking. True, I should probably reign my anime spending in a little (I average $500 a year and that's low balling it) but meh.

Well that and I actually re-watch anime all the time. There isn't an anime that I own that I haven't re-watched at least twice (or, in the case of Aria, once a year since I first watched it (so roughly 10 times)). Yea, I really need to get out more x_X

  9. Yeah, the redub of Evangelion is uninspired trash. Shinji's voice is even worse, people sound like they're half asleep.

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

These all seem to be brand new VAs... like their first roles. I'm on ep 9 and they seem to have gotten more comfortable in their roles. Asuka and Misato are ok. Gendo is awful.. not intimidating at all. Shinji is just bad, I laughed when he was screaming in one scene because it was so terrible. XD I'm all for fresh voices, but not all at once where they dont have some vets to follow the lead from. While the anime has been hit or miss with Netflix, the dubs have normally been pretty solid to good... they missed the boat here.

  10. You could definitely tell this was the last E3 for this generation of consoles. Super small showcases for everyone this year. Next year's E3 will be back to the ultra hype reels for Sony and Microsoft unveiling the next consoles followed with the games that are being made for them. It will be an off year for Battlefield next year, but the first COD will be by C studio Sledgehammer, since MW4 will be the last COD this gen.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

They need to make digital games purchased to be compatible with all future console generations. I can buy a game on GoG or Steam and have it for life. But for consoles I only have it for that generation unless I want to rebuy it again. If digital games could be carried over with every new console I'd look forward to upgrading.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

They should have both formats compatible. Digital games should last forever, But I could understand only doing physical for 1 generation back. They should get rid of discs all together though and go to those SD cards that the switch uses. Keep the Blu-Ray drive for PS4 games and blu-ray functionality. They should also do a 4TB HD and quit with the BS on small storage. It would also be nice to have feature to "zip" your unused games so you can unzip them later when you want to play them rather than having to redownload the whole thing. They also need to get their head out of their ass on cross platform. They don't need to repeat the PS3 generation where they fall behind because they got to arrogant. They made a massive comeback this gen, pummeling Microsoft in resounding fashion. Sony has way more exclusives, and that's what sells the console. Let people play across platforms, this would maintain the health of a lot of online game populations by consolidating the playerbase. It would probably save companies resources on having 3 different servers or 3 different partitions of a server for their games. Smaller studio games that have failed may fair better when everyone is playing together from all platforms. Let studios decide what they want to do.. Because I know COD would probably not do this to keep their old games dying so people have to buy the new ones.

  11. YouTube bypasses Adblock Plus now. -_-; Ads are more annoying on PC than on the phone. I always wondered what those yellow lines were in the play timeline, they pop banners on the video at those times.

  15. $940 on new ball joints, struts, and shocks.... never buy a Ford.

    1. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

What's this Ford you speak of? Are those the vehicles you are Found on Road Dead? All joking aside I'll never buy one after all the trouble my Dad has had with them. On that note never buy a Buick, I've had nothing but trouble with my damn LeSabre since I bought the thing 5 years ago (I replaced the Transmission 2 years ago, $2100 down the drain and still having trouble with it).

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

This is an old car that is nearing 100k miles, but its given me more wear and tear issues than the previous two cars I've owned. One that was just as old and had more miles, and my first car that started out with 112k miles on it. Parts of the exhaust like to fall off of it, power steering goes out with full fluid, now this.

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Holy shit that's costly. I had similar issues with my old blazer. I'll never buy a GM vehicle again. Or a Ford based on the problems with yours. My toyota has been great so far. Almost 5 years and 70k miles I've only done the front brakes once and had the brake fluid flushed. I do need to do brakes again in the spring tho.

  16. 1 map a night, 2 maps on off days... I'll have Mesmer WC done before launch... only to farm Halloween. XD XD XD

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I looked into it some more and as long as we have map completion on one character it'll unlock the mastery stuff we need for the account, but for the elite specializations we only need the hero points. I'm working on getting all hero points and way points unlocked for my warrior and then mesmer. Screw those hearts. XD I'll wait to do those until the better map rewards are released.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Meh, Hero points are so randomlucky placed, it would take me the same amount of time looking at a map guide and making my way to each as completing the maps. :P I can complete most hearts in under a min.

      DeathscytheX

The main character has so many "delusions" that its hard to distinguish whats real and whats not. Everyone is not who they seem to be... its like they tried way too hard to be mysterious or set up plot twists that they forgot to throw an actual story into it.

    3. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Heh, not the first time that's happened in anime. Plus it's based off a visual novel that had the same premise (I think, have never played it but have heard weird things about it) so we can just blame the original creators.

Just typing in the name of the JP on youtube generally brings her guides up as the top result, but always go with AyinMaiden's videos. I used her guides exclusively. https://www.youtube.com/user/AyinMaiden/playlists?sort=dd&flow=list&shelf_id=10&view=50 You can thank her SW JP video for helping me guide you to Skritt Tonic glory. ;)

Chrono has monster support with alacrity and reflects and is great in dungeon's and raids... but just for open world solo roaming, its not really cutting it. The well cast time is a bit long I've notice as I've accidentally cancel them out by dodging or attacking numerous times.

    3. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Yeah my preferences are a bit different from the hardcore. Removable batteries and micro SD slots don't matter to me. I got the 64gb version even though I never use more than half of the 32GB models I've owned. Heck, by the time you're up, the S6 active might be out with the water resistant features and what not.
