  1. The PC community are tried and true to this game. I don't play PS3 online, but from what some of my friends have told me, most people try to play it like COD, running around just trying to get kills, without a care about capping MCOMs or flags. lol. XBOX is similar, but not to that degree. I play it mostly on that since thats what my friends have it for. I bought this new rig for Diablo 3, and I have played some BF on here... I will say this... its a hell of a lot more beautiful on the PC. The graphics are amazing.
  2. I'm sure blockbuster video felt this way a few years back about their rental policies. X'D
  3. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYF7EguggcA[/ame] Ah, it just wont be the same without: [ame] [/ame]X'D
  4. I might have to check that out. I'm pretty excited they are doing an HD remake of Baldur's Gate! I really wish they'd redo Streets of Rage! [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hikFCwduCIQ[/ame]
  5. LOL. Been on a big anime kick lately via netflix. I finished Season 1 just now. I really like this one. It Loosely reminds me of Inuyasha except the female protagonist has the superpowers and the male protagonist is a regular guy thrown into a strange new understanding of his world. Can't wait to start on season 2.
  6. Its a tradition. I could never pilot until BF3. I started to learn a bit in BC2, but I can customize the controls to ace combat standards, its a breeze to fly. Yeah! C4 the mcom's is easy xp. If you're on a really terrible team that cant defend worth a damn, just make a nice little radius and run off some where safe. The best mcoms are where you can throw the charges on the ceiling... after a while they tend to catch on and look for your c4, but they hardly ever look up for them. Once you see the bomb site planted. pull the trigger... BOOM!!! Go defuse, resupply yourself, and repeat. X'D Thats why my PC handle is C4atTheDoor. I can't tell you how many triple kills I've got under my belt that way. In BF2, some servers would kick you for doing that. I would make a radius around a flag in conquest, and hide in a good vantage point. As soon as they got blown up they'd cry to the server admin.
  7. X'D MAV users don't bother me too much. Step into an enclosed area, and if they think they're cute... which they normally do, they'll fly the little thing in there where there isnt much room to operate. M249 extended mag FTW. I also love trolling mortar whores. I guess they don't realize they show up on the map when they fire. Easy mortar kills for me. I will admit I can be a big douche bag on Rush. I love planing C4 on the bomb sites. I don't play it as much as I did on Bad Company 2. I had 3 gold stars on my C4/TNT in that game. X'D
  8. LOL. Too bad we cant play. I can really troll some people with an attack chopper, I never seem to have a good gunner though... when I try to be gunner the pilot generally crashes into a building or something trying to be cute. BF3 is a well constructed game. Ive read that COD is practically unplayable on PS3. Horror stories of no clipping, being invisible, amongst others. Plus PSN is very under monitored since you don't have to pay to play online. I think it mostly has to do to those guys that crack the system and put their own software in it. If you report something to dice however, they generally take care of it faster than others. the most you'll see in BF3 is aim bots. Which its hard to tell since there is no kill cam to see how you died. But generally if you get shot in the head and it shows the guy that killed you way on the other side of the map and he is holding a pistol... something is definitely up. Yeah thats the one and only time ive ever gotten that much XP. it was pretty epic... longest match i've ever played since BF2 maybe. Since its 4 on 4, its hard to defend flags on such a large map, thus its easy to get a lot of caps. 200xp a pop, plus the ribbons every 5 caps i believe, on top of the kills, unlocks, tank unlocks, and the xp gained from being support and dropping ammo. Thats about the one great thing about Rush when it comes to drops. If you're assault and you know the hot spots, you can just drop a health kit and rack up endless points off everyone on your team.
  9. Yeah, Sadly I don't really buy a game unless I have friends to play it with, so even if the game isn't all that great, it can still be fun playing with them. Diablo will be my next purchase... after that... Borderlands 2... thats really All I can think of. The industry has definitely been done it by its own success. Competitioin is completely gone with the lack of 3rd party exclusives, and having more than 2 competing developers.... hell. Sony and MS might as well build their next console together as one unit.
  10. I think the best solution to all of this... which would be a somewhat fair trade off to all parties is to deactivate trophies/achievements for non registered games... You can play the full game all you want, borrowed or rented... but maybe a $5 fee would be incurred if you wanted to get the trophies/achievements for the game that you did not buy new. There are a lot of trophy/achievement whores out there. They could make a ton of cash off them with these small fees. I'd be all about used games if they weren't $5-10 less than a new game. $5-10 is nothing to me when it comes to new or used. I take good care of my games, but i know a lot of people do not. That's why I always buy new. We can say that this method would lead to more piracy all we want, but Piracy has a lot to do with why the industry has turned this way, outside of gamestop. Kotaku posted an article about how a non-used games industry could be good... and had some good points... we all know the gaming community is owned by EA, Activision, and Blizzard now.... sad but true... maybe without the loss of profit the big 3 will be more willing to take a chance on independent developers. I don't know about anyone else, but I miss games with an old school touch to them. Side scroll space shooters. top down military shooters. Contra clones, etc. Hell. Electronic Arts had a Strike game and Road Rash game in development that I was really excited for... both were canceled because of fear they wouldn't sell. Thats BS... hardcore gamers would have bought them in droves... something needs to be done. You're right though, this console era could make or break everything. I dont game as much as i use to because of the lack of quality and the ignorant following of blockbuster series that have become lackluster money whores (*COUGH* CALL OF DUTY *COUGH*)
  11. I blame Gamestop. They're used game polices are absurd. I remember during the NES days, at the local Video Game Exchange place, you could pick up used games for $5-$10 bucks, and new NES games still ran close to $40 back then. Maybe if they weren't making such a large ass profit margin off use games, the developers wouldnt have ever bothered with is... It seems like the are more concerned about how much money Gamestop is making off them, than actual piracy. The whole thing doesn't effect me in general. I only buy 3-5 games a year anymore.
  12. I never ran into any of those problems on the 360. I play conquest mostly however. Less reason for people to camp out. I know the PS3 online gaming community is notorious for cheating and more douchbaggery than 360.. and that's hard to imagine how much worse it could be. Playing by yourself can be pretty tideous at times, so in that aspect I can agree... if you have at least one friend in your squad, you could be unstoppable and win entire matches with just the two of you working together. I remember one time on Squad Conquest on Tehran Highway I racked up almost 80,000 XP from capturing flags over and over and over. It was basically a big merry-go-round, with us holding the flags and the other team capturing one at a time and my squad recapturing it. The match was 2 hours long, and I leveled up 3 times and unlocked 3 attachments for the gun I was using the entire time. The after battle staticis were fun to watch as they racked up ribbons, and xp. lol
  13. PlayStation: http://kotaku.com/5896996/the-next-playstation-is-called-orbis-sources-say-here-are-the-details Xbox: http://kotaku.com/5879202/sources-the-next-xbox-will-play-blu+ray-may-not-play-used-games-and-will-introduce-kinect-2?popular=true Use gaming has become a joke IMO. Gamestop will sell you a use game for only $5-10 cheaper, after they only paid less than half of that for it. What this will really hurt the most is Gamefly and the old "borrow from your buddy" system. Gamefly could still work as a onboard app, but Red Box is SOL.
  14. Just finished this today... I liked it a lot... however It seems incomplete. The perversion wasn't really necessary. I think it could have used a season 2 and 3. After doing a little research, I guess with the multiple hiatus periods the manga has taken, its a little understandable why the anime ends so abruptly. They just seem to leave a lot open in character development when the series ends on the 12th episode.
  15. I think you're right. The OVA was a little disappointing at the end. I'm glad the handlers showed more care for the girls, but It was kinda anti-climatic. Triela was left out. I do like Henrietta a lot.... but I think there should have been more closure between the agency vs. the FRF.
  16. Ok. The 1st season is intriguing because of the crazy concept of little girls as assassins... but I'm liking season 2 more, despite the drop in the quality of the anime style, the story is more focused. It has 2 episodes from what they call "season 3" but from what I have seen, there is no season 3... I guess I'll find out when i get there. Triela is probably my favorite character followed by Claes.
  17. I been watching this on netflix. I finished season 1, and I'm half way through season 2.... I dislike the anime style change between the two seasons. Season 1 had superior styling. But I find the story to be really interesting. The girls are so innocent, yet so cold and twisted at the same time. The agency is ingenious idea. lol
  18. V9Q25iDf3D0 X'D Hope it was awesome!

  20. http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi2390728985/ a nice clip.
  21. Buy that! Borderlands is amazing!
  22. It's really good, even by yourself. The DLC's were worth every penny too. each were a good 5-10 hours of game play...
