  1. Thats certainly more of Epples then I needed to see X'D

Oddly enough I do remember Epples mentioning this to me on AIM the day it happened (I'd be watching your back their Cabbit, he might just get you back)

  2. Sad thing is I can probably run Warhammer on my laptop, I doubt my laptop will be able to handle AoC without internally killing itself. Plus I've been looking more forward to Warhammer (more or less because the premise is what I like and I'll have more friends going to Warhammer then I would AoC).

I'll make the final decision once I get my new laptop (pending on if I even use it for gaming, the new laptop is for school purposes only). Plus, either way you look at it, I really can't afford to be buying anything at the moment (nor fund a monthly payment, kind of the big reason I will be quitting WoW for the fourth time here in October).

  3. I've been looking forward to Warhammer Online for quite some time now (even more now that Blizzard is fucking up and releasing a new expansion too damn soon, fed up with their crap so I need a new MMO). Friend of mine is trying to talk me into AoC but I don't have the funds to play two MMO's at the same time.

  4. Eh, even with two films coming out I bet they don't end SG1. They won't definitely end something unless they're sure the franchise can't bring in any more money and SG1 is still a money making series.

Seriously the questions they left when the ended the series probably won't be answered in the movies (or mine anyways. My questions and confusion come from the sudden turn around with the Asgard. Theres a lot that needs to be answered before I fully come to terms with this ending).

Sledge we need to make a Tela bashing topic because I'm sure everyone who has seen Atlantis would just love to mock her

  5. Anything Rap (old school rap I can live with, new school sucks), R&B, Country, and pop related is annoying in my opinion. Can't bring myself to listen to that crap.

I agree with Vinnie on Barbie Girl. Tis a classic and I personally love it (plus it a fun way of annoying my friends who hate the song), especially the German mix of it.

  6. I'll agree with you there. The only reason I'd get an Elite is if they offered me one to replace my 360, the bigger hard drive and the black color aren't worth the money in my eyes. Sadly buying a wireless adapter is the price we have to pay to play our 360 online through a wireless connection. I have no gripe that I had to pay $100 for the adapter, it's just one of the things I've accepted about Microsoft's systems and frankly I think land lines are better for console gaming (no chance of getting dc'd outside of the connection going out). The only gripe I had when I bought my 360 was that I had to buy a recharge kit for my controller (which is entirely stupid, it should come with one for the controller you already own).

For the most part the 360 errors don't normally show themselves until roughly a year after it's bought. My friends is a year old and it went out on him like I said two weeks ago (then again he lives on his 360 and plays it continually, which seems to be a no no for the 360). Amount of time spent playing them daily and weekly play a big role on whether or not the system shows problems or not it seems (a friend of mine bought his 360 they day they hit shelves and it's still working fine for him and he hardly plays it).

Sadly though it's not hard to fill a 20 gig hdd DX. My 360's hdd is almost full and I regularly delete crap off of it.

  7. For the most part the hardware problems are mostly the same. The 360 has some cooling problems and due to that it melts the sodder (sp?, you know what I mean) on some of the chips making it crack and thus killing the connection between the chips and the board. There are some easy fixes for it but it's the main hardware issue with the 360. I've heard of a few others but since it came out a good portion of 360 owners have been plagued by problems that are the same.

My 360 is giving me loading problems with games right now. It freezes up for no f'in reason which has made a good portion of my gaming frustrating (especially as I was trying to beat PSU, froze up on the last boss making me spend two hours trying to get to him again because apparently Sega has never heard of multiple save points). I should send it in to get looked at or replace it with an Elite.

Outside of FFXIII I haven't heard of any RPG's hitting the PS3 (Lair is one but I don't know if it's pure RPG or of mix).

Heh, only real reason I pay a close attention to the gaming industry is that my future revolves around it (going to college to get a degree in Game Design) otherwise I wouldn't be as knowledgeable in it as I am. Plus, being a 360 owner, I kinda need to keep up with what current problems are plaguing the system right now.

  8. Eh, Sony has a long way to go to outsell the 360. With a years lead on the system it's going to take a lot for Sony to gain ground. Plus, with the 360 Elite on the market now, it'll have an even harder time keeping up.

Sadly, both Microsoft and Sony are plagued with problems now. With the influx in 360 hardware failure lately (even my system is starting to show problems and my friends just went down two weeks ago) people are starting to see the flaws with the system (I'm thinking the Elite solved these problems but I'm not sure). Plus most people view the PS3 as an extremely overpriced paperweight not worth buying (unless as a Blue-Ray player). Add on the fact that there are hardly any games worth buying for the PS3 and you have big problems for Sony (with a lack of any good exclusives outside of Heavenly Sword, Lair, and MGS4 I don't see any real comeback potential for the PS3 atm).

If Sony can solve it's lack of games issue I can see it making a comeback in the near future but sadly all the games I want are coming out for the 360 (since Ace Combat 6 made the move to 360 I have lost any interest in the PS3, sad to say too since I'm a huge Sony supporter).

As to answer your questing GG I don't think there is any way to hook up a PS2 to a laptop. I've never tried so I don't know off hand but I'm going to guess there is no way or if there is I don't know about it.

  9. It happens to me too GG. It's probably a glitch in the system because I too do not allow myself to be logged out of my account (only times I do is when I reset my cookies). I've lost many a first place standing because my score wasn't submitted.

  10. Meh, even with the price drop I'm still not buying one. I can't justify paying that price for a console that doesn't have any games I want on it anymore (considering all the titles except a few have gone multi-platform recently, which makes me happy considering I shelled out the money for a 360).

  11. It's mentioned in that link Sledge posted. To keep people interested and competition up they implemented something that decays you're high score to make it easier for others to beat it. What you're seeing is the score you used to have and the score that it decayed too over a certain amount of time (I think a week). Thats what I got from reading the info in the link.

  12. Beats the hell out of me. I beat it with a score of over 250,000 but it didn't give me anything on the score board (and this was shortly after you uploaded it).

Bah, no wonder the controls didn't work for me by default. I have no numpad on my laptop

  13. I noticed that castlevania glitch too. All I had was daggers that wouldn't reach him. O_O; I dunno if theres a working version or not, I'll have to check around this weekend. And I got some of those error messages for scores too. I owned that kill kenny game but after I beat it the score didn't submit.. and I got error messages on a couple of different games. I dunno if its the fault of the game or the arcade, or maybe because I had another forum tab open and it messed up my session/cookie. O_O I have a feeling it was probably the games. I don't really thoroughly test them before I add them and some just screw up. If the scoring messes up repeatedly, take that into consideration when you rate a game. I'll take off low rated games in a couple weeks.

and yeah, that metal slug kill the nazis sucks balls. :haha:

btw, talking about high scores, I should mention I installed the following mod when I initially setup the arcade..

    http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=131417

we'll know if it works, because it should activate on the fourth of every month.. but I'm wondering if it'd just be easier to use the built in 'prune high scores' feature and set it to run 2-4 times a year instead. :|

Booo, I was wondering why my Space Invaders score was lowered.

And GG you need to set the controls for Street Fighter otherwise you won't be able to fight (I tried every combination of keys and none worked when I first tried playing)

  14. *pats GG on the back* Eh, it just means you have more of a life then some of us. *stares at Epples and himself* It'll grow man, it'll grow. Speaking of lists, I'm still not done with mine. I'm still trying to remember all of the anime I've seen.

  15. Just finished the book myself. Probably the best book I've read in awhile and I liked how it ended. Some of the things I thought would happen after book 6 did, some didn't, some happened that I never would of dreamed, etc. Overall damn good book.

Man she went on a killing spree in this book. I didn't think she'd kill off everyone she did, especially Remus and Tonks (surprised the hell out of me it did). Fred's death was also a shock. To think he'd go down like that and to kill Mad-Eye. I was pissed after he died, I really liked him. In the end I'm happy to see Snape lived up to exactly what I thought. I always knew he was a good man that had a tragic life. Sadly his death was rather graphic/demeaning.
