  1. It's just like....a minimaw! FJ3oHpup-pk
  2. Hmm. Reminds me of Back to the Future 2.
  3. It may focus on some events in the manga. After all, quite a bit was missed out when they made the anime series. I'm cautiously hopeful. *nods*
  4. A maid went to her employer asking for a raise. The lady of the house was very upset about this and asked: "Now Maria, why do you want a raise?"

Maria: "Well Madam, there are three reasons why I want a raise. The first is that I iron better than you."

Lady of the house: "Who said you iron better than me?"

    Maria: "The Master said so."

    Lady of the house: "Oh."

Maria: "The second reason is that I am a better cook than you."

Lady of the house: "Nonsense, who said you were a better cook than me?"

    Maria: "The Master did."

    Lady of the house: "Oh."

Maria: "My third reason is that I am a better lover than you."

Lady of the house (very upset now): "Did the Master say so as well?"

Maria: "No Madam, the gardener did."

  6. Now, I'm not posting this link to start any kind of holy crusade or religious fight. But it's an article I really found interesting and makes a lot of sense. 10 Things Christians and Atheists Can (And Must) Agree On Exceprt:

I'm sorry, that's just wrong. Seriously. If you're going to go to all the work and effort to make a man's body capabiel of carrying a child, it'd be eaiser to go through a sex-change operation. That's basiclly what they're talking about here, just taking it one step further.
  8. I really enjoy the story behind FFXI myself. Each expansion pack has it's own storyline, but they all kinda fit together, just expanding on the background of the world and different things you see. The latest expansion takes you back in time to the Crystal War, which apparently was what shaped the world that you start out in. Rather interesting, really.
  9. Ok, yeah, I didn't understand half of that. Seriously. All I got was that you like FFXI more than WOW. And I do wish FFXI was better for solo play, though apparently some of the newer jobs are eaiser to solo. THF is not though. Dammit. >< But there's so much other stuff to do that I still enjoy it. Plus, a lot of the expansion quests are level capped, which can make it easier. Not easy by any means! (Diablos is a bitch to fight) But from the quests I've seen in WOW, most of them are 'gather large crowds of people to kill said monster', and while there are plenty of those in FFXI, there's a lot better story behind it. Correct me if I'm wrong, of course, but FFXI seems more story driven then WOW. *shrugs*
  10. The textures in FFXI look better to me. More realistic. Maybe it's my graphics card, but that's what it looked like to me. Yeah, the having to party to get anywhere can be annoying, but I have a good LS. Now, in all honesty, if I could afford two MMOs, I would play WOW. I just can't afford two, so I go with the one I like best.
  11. Eh. I've never been a WOW fan. It's a nice game, I have played it, but I still prefer FFXI. It is slower than WOW, but has much better graphics and a better community.
  12. From overheardintheoffice.com:

Contractor: Ma'am, just so you know for the next time we're called in, caulking is not spelled C-O-C-K-I-N-G. It's C-A-U-L-K-I-N-G.

  13. happy birthday Eppy! ^^
  14. i use plastic and recyle them....though i do use them to line the small trashcan where i scoop out the kitty litter into.....
  15. I think most big cities do have a policy about spaying and nutering, just not for random pets. The problem with a law like that is that it takes money and a lot of people living in poverty love their pets and want to keep them, but can't afford the surgary. Stupid economy. ><
  16. Donkey Kong wasn't based in the jungle. It was a series of ladders that Mario had to climb and jumb barrels to rescue the princess. Duh.
  17. that one's been around for a while....good one though...
  18. *pokies* *licks a marshmellow and sticks it to your forehead*

  19. His wife is just waiting for the cameras to turn off so she can beat the crap out of him.
  20. There's something like that here. The law here is that the SPCA (or other pet adoption/selling agencies) can't adopt out or sell animals that aren't steralized. Well, I think they can sell pedigreed for breeding animals, but that's it.
  21. Update: It's a miracle they weren't all killed. Traffic down there is a pain in the ass, espically that time in the morning. Although, that may be why they didn't get killed by traffic. It's slow there in the mornings, though usually not stop and go at that point, so people had more time to react.
  22. Just, holy crap. >< What is it with people who commit sucicide and involve their kids?
  23. Yeah, but you notice it didn't say that Pedro complained. If he wants to do landscaping the rest of his life, more power to him. He can come mow my lawn. ; The problem is that so many agencies think they're doing good and kinda run over everyone in their path, weither they're needed or not. Sometimes, they are needed. But so many times they stick their noses into a situation and blow it way out of proportion and everyone gets upset and the media has a field day and other agencies are called and pretty soon the child in question is getting his life planned out for him and getting a free ride, even if they don't need it.
  24. Actually, you'd be surprised. Granted, this is an extreme scenario, but there are lots of kids that graduate high school now that can barely speak English because of the No Child Left Behind programs. They won't be able to really compete in college because they can't speak English very well, so they end up going on to manual labor for the rest of their lives. Now, the children that are brought over very young end up learning English quite well, but what about the ones that come over here and are 15, 16, 17? A lot of them have trouble learning English because it's a pain in the ass language, and so only graduate because they have translators that help them all through it and they really don't learn English well enough to function in an English-speaking society.
