btw, did anyone notice one of the pilots on the pegasus was the guy from First Wave?

holy shit! i've never felt so much emotion while watching an episode! those sick f*cks on the pegasus, raping a cylon and talking so proudly about it even in front of a woman, wtf. that admiral needs to be put down along with half the pegasus crew. Go Adama!

Whoever translated it was probably someone in hong kong who just skimmed thru it and translated the sound into standard L = R conversion with an emphasis on the E sound at the end. hence, Ruffie.. which is way off considering it was spelled in english in the show itself. (see attached screenshots, unedited, hence Marines instead of Navy)

like strider was saying, i think every episode in the series had some sort of battle involving escaflowne. excellent fight scenes. and the guymelefs in the series were awesome too. cat chicks.. mmm..

i meant to reply to this topic yesterday, but i forgot.

Escaflowne is one of my favorite animes! the plot, concepts, enemies, scientific theories, etc. are all wonderfully pulled off. the series is great and compelling.. but.. i didn't like the movie. ; the animation quality is completely different from the series and the plot didn't do much for me. the end result is the same with the series, but the movie doesn't do Van justice. he seems like a secondary character without much depth.

btw, as strider was saying, for anyone that doesn't know, Escaflowne the series and Escaflowne the movie are two seperate animes. the movie is not a continuation of the series. it is basically an alternate version of the entire series wrapped up into one 1 1/2 hour movie. but because of the lack of character information in the movie, its highly recommended that you watch the series first so you'll know who is who.

the ending of escaflowne is a bit disappointing because you don't get what you expected in the end.. i too, was disappointed. but hey, i'm glad it ended that way. the first time i watched escaflowne, i couldn't predict anything that was going to happen. hell, consider dilandau's origins, did anyone see that coming?

btw, if we ever want to see a second season of berserk, i recommend that everyone buy the products. enough sales numbers and there wont be any denying the demand for berserk. *wishes the PS2 game came out in the states*
