yeah, its not right to promote smoking via anime characters. all they do is stereotype sanji as the "cool smoking guy" so they throw a lolly pop in his mouth like people won't notice him ashing his candy.

while watching the fansubs i came across at least 2 episodes i never saw on saturday's 4kids episodes. i think there were more, but i can't remember them at the moment.. anyway, the two i'm talking about know are the Buggy episodes.

Little Buggy's Big Adventure and umm.. Buggy's return (something like that). little buggy's big adventure is freakin hilarious!

needless to say, i don't see how 4kids could have possibly edited these two eps enough to make them "4kids friendly" so as a last resort.. they got cut.

has anyone else seen these eps? i wonder if cartoon network will air them or not, if they do they'll air immediatly after the arlong park arc.

we're still in the 40s. must watch more.

finished episodes 3 & 4.. this anime is so damn serious and violent! it makes the first series of FMP look like care bears.. i guess fumoffu is like a counter balance, funny gimics and laughter.. and then second raid comes along and boom!

just finished watching all the arlong park battles.. the editing job they did on that was worse than i thought.. i think a 1/4 of luffy's fight was omitted.

HOLY SHIT! nami stabbed her arlong tatoo repeatedly out of rage! her arm was all bloodied up and luffy had to grab her arm..

i suppose i should actually rename this topic from 4kids editing to Toei editing seeing as how the edited dvds coming out actually have toei's name all over them. i thought 4kids had the full license, but for some reason toei must have had it first and made the edited version.. but if thats the case, then what the hell is up with the edited version only dvd crap? i was under the impression 4kids was releasing all their properties in a unedited version like funi did with yu yu hakusho.. but if toei is releasing the dvds instead, then i suppose unedited one piece dvds will never come out.

I always thought Dais's armor was freakin sweet.. thus he made it into the original header for the forums. Classic AC theme can't be beat.

i never watched ronin warriors on toonami, the original airings were on fox i think.. it aired around the same time frame as sailor moon. i remember watching mystery science theater 3000, then ronin warriors, then sailormoon everyday that summer.. (i can't remember if the shows were in that order tho.)

i need to buy this series on dvd. i always had plans to make a site for it and everything. *relishes in my ronin warrior fan days* the first sigs i ever used on AC were Ronin Warrior ones. all the admins back then had the custom rank: "Dark Warlord"

Anubis was my favorite.

Zoro is definitely spelled Zoro in the anime (as per my sig) and Luffy is spelled Luffy on the wanted posters. the translators need to get their stuff together.. this reminds me of inuyasha.. in the english dub, Kirara is Kilala and in one episode they come across another cat demon that looks just like her.. amazingly enough, this new cat's name is Kiroro in english.. you'd think if they were going to translate R's into L's they'd at least stick to it.

the 4kids theme song for one piece is hilarious, but yeah, it has nothing in common with the actual theme from the show. and the opening scene that goes with the theme was completely chopped up too to go with the 4kids rap.

there has been some serious shit happening in this show that i never saw coming.. like how gaius killed crash down in the heat of that impending cylon attack, or when the cheif stood up and started blasting at the cylons to take all their fire to try and protect everyone.. oh, and when gaius injected the cheif with some poison to get some answers from the cylon boomer. holy shit man.. scenes like that are what make this show so addicting to me. whats your favorite most unexpected scene in battlestar galactica so far?

wow.. now that i've gotten my hands on some fansubs, i have got to say.. "f*ck you, 4kids" the amount of editing done is highly obvious starting even at episode 1. the sound tracks are completely different and that by itself gives the edited version the completely wrong feel. the character's lines are wrong too.. in the fansubs, watching luffy say things like.. "..and for that, I'm going to kick your ass!" just makes you enjoy it more. and the thing that gets me is this.. if they edited just the fight scenes, i could understand that, but they edited EVERYTHING. and thats messed up. edited animation, simple conversations, and lack of scenes in the edited version makes this show a mockery of the true glory of One Piece. I'll still watch the edited episodes on saturday mornings and nights for a laugh but in all seriousness, the unedited version of this show is amazing. the animation, soundtrack, scenes, character interactions and plot.. this is a masterpiece.

i started watching some episodes again today.

adama is going to be pissed. and seriously, you'd think they would have spaced boomer by now. in the first season they had an issue with cylons constantly locating them after jumps and it was because they had a cylon on board..

yeah, they should let the guy go roaming free. and if they think hes a security risk because he'll divulge the fact that atlantis is still intact, then they might as well stop exploring because they'll walk into the wraith eventually.
