  1. I think there was an episode or two in the skypiea arc where the former god was battleing using some jet dials or something on his feet. he was able to manipulate them with some quickness. maybe something like that could be a counter measure to the speed move all of CP9 used. oh, and seeing as the mantra ability was able to let the priests actually know what move was going to be done, like 'right jab', maybe they could have used the mantra ability like an enemy skill materia and figure out some of the CP9's moves and turn them back on them?

I'd still say CP9 would win, but I can only imagine some of the serious badasses that must have lived in skypiea before enel presumably instant killed everyone in his path to godness.

  2. anyway back on topic. is this the only manga that his mother shows up in?

I don't think she would be in any other manga.. but if you mean chapter, then I don't know. I haven't been keeping up with the inuyasha manga. Its like the manga has no direction at all. I wish they'd either give everyone some sort of mission to do aside from "find Naraku and get the shikon no tama", or just end the series with a final story arc leading up to the last confrontation with Naraku.

Two-time Academy Award® nominee Edward Norton has signed on to play Bruce Banner, who transforms into Marvel's renowned, larger-than-life Super Hero, The Hulk in Marvel Studios' action-packed, new big screen adaptation of The Incredible Hulk. The film, which is being directed by Louis Leterrier and distributed by Universal Pictures, is scheduled to smash into theaters on June 13, 2008.

"Edward Norton is a rare talent and one of the most versatile actors in the business. His ability to transform into a particular role makes him the ideal choice to take on the character of Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Edward is perfectly suited to bring one of the most popular and important Marvel icons to the big screen in a new and exciting way," said Kevin Feige, President of Production, Marvel Studios.

Under the visionary direction of Louis Leterrier (Transporter 2, Unleashed), The Incredible Hulk will return to the roots of the long-running comic series and television show.

The story unfolds when the pursuit for The Hulk - the world's most misunderstood, primal force of fury - heats up, finding Bruce Banner on the run attempting to cure his condition before his pursuers capture him.

Edward Norton is widely recognized as one of Hollywood's most multifaceted actors. Having appeared in more than 20 films to date, he has garnered numerous accolades, including two Academy Award nominations. He received a Best Actor nod for his portrayal of a former Neo-Nazi in American History X, as well as Supporting Actor recognition for his role opposite Richard Gere in Primal Fear. He will next been seen in Pride and Glory (co-starring Colin Farrell). Other film credits include: Fight Club, The Painted Veil, The Illusionist, The Score, 25th Hour, Frida, Death to Smoochy, and The People vs. Larry Flynt.

Filming is slated to begin in Toronto this summer.

The Incredible Hulk film is being produced by Avi Arad, Gale Anne Hurd and Kevin Feige and will be executive produced by Jim Van Wyck, David Maisel, Ari Arad and Stan Lee. Norton is represented by Brian Swardstrom of Endeavor.

I hope this is a better movie than the cross country jumping version that came out a few years back.

And it doesn't sound like a sequel to that other Hulk movie. If thats the case and they're starting it over already, maybe we'll luck out and they'll do the same for Superman. :P

  4. i hope they fit a decent amount of episodes per dvd.....one piece is over 300 episodes now. can you imagine if they only put 2 or 4 episodes per disc?
So let’s make it clear – what is going on?

HEISKELL: FUNimation will now be working on the adaptation of the One Piece anime. We have all DVD rights to the One Piece TV series, and we’ll be working on new episodes that will air on Cartoon Network in August.

    Oh thank God.

    HEISKELL: (laughs)

How’s this going to work? Are you guys going to start the series over, or what?

HEISKELL: No, no. We’re starting with the original Japanese episodes 144 through 205.

    Why is that?

HEISKELL: Well, it was kind of a group decision between FUNimation, Cartoon Network, and Toei Animation. Cartoon Network wanted the series to continue from where the previous version left off. And FUNimation and Toei wanted to keep One Piece on TV – that’s good for everybody.

So what about episodes one through 143?

HEISKELL: It’s not 100% decided yet. We’re dubbing the show with an entirely new cast and we have such strict deadlines to meet for the Cartoon Network broadcast that [dubbing those first episodes at the same time] would end up being double the work for us. We want to do it, but it comes down to our production schedule – and if we can, we will. But if we can’t, then we’ll start with a DVD of episode 144-plus, and get to the first episode as soon as we can.

Actually, you guys can have comments on the article right? Like below the article, people add comments?

    Indeed we do.

HEISKELL: Well, I’m not promising anything, but it wouldn’t hurt if people let us know in your comments whether they want us to start the DVDs with episode one, or episode 144. Or we might alternate between the two, like they were different seasons. They should let us know what they think. [Editor’s note: you heard the man - get to work, guys.]

So what are the DVD plans? They’ll be uncut, right?

HEISKELL: Totally uncut. What you see is what you get.

How will you release the DVDs?

HEISKELL: We know that One Piece is a long, ongoing show, and we’ve learned in the past from fan feedback, forums, conventions, and all the conversations that three to four episodes per disc just won’t cut it for such a long series.

So what we’re going to do is 13 episode releases at $49.98. We haven’t figured out if we’re going to do two or three per year. We just have to see with production and sales whether it’s more beneficial to do two or three a year, but we haven’t decided yet. This is our quickest production, and we have our A-team working on it, and this is top priority so all the wheels are going right now.

So it’ll be a three disc box set?

HEISKELL: Probably three discs, yes. We’re also trying to get some cool extras for the DVDs so it’s not just episodes. We’ll be doing a lot of good promotion for it.

And when do we get it?

HEISKELL: The uncut DVD won’t be out until sometime between November and February, depending on production.

Even at 13 episodes a set, with 300+ eps of One Piece, it'll still require at least 23 boxsets and probably an entire dedicated wall of shelf space. at $50 a pop thats at least $1,150.00 and the series is no where near ending in Japan. Thats friggin costly. x_x

  5. I bet funimation will do a decent job. What is a shame tho is that they are editing the show down to a PG version to air on CN, but all the dvds will be completely uncut. I think they did the same to YuYu Hakusho, edited out the blood but left the majority of all the content there as is.

  6. Did anyone else see the premiere episode last night? I missed parts of it but from what I saw this series looks very promising. Jane is like Wolverine with her fast healing ability and they hunt down Neuros (Evil guys with mutant powers). I don't recall them ever mentioning mutant powers on the commercials, so I was hesitant to watch it.. but in the end we checked it out because the girl that was in terminator 3 was the star and shes good with action. hehe. Yeah, the show itself is pretty good. Anyone else watch it?

An interview at animeOnline with Funimation brand manager Lance Heiskell reveals that Funimation has acquired the broadcast and DVD rights to One Piece; an uncut, subtitled version of the show will be available, as well as a newly dubbed version for television broadcast. Funimation's version of the show will begin with episode 144. Further details are available in the interview. 1.8 days ago - 2007-04-13 01:04 EDT

Holy shit. It'll come out uncut on dvd.. but it looks like it'll only be broadcasted uncut from ep 144 and on, I hope the dvds are uncut from episode 1 for everyone that wants to buy them. eh, at least the US will get uncut One Piece! :D

Christina Ricci to Play Heroine Trixie in Speed Racer Movie

Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures announced that Christina Ricci has signed onto the Speed Racer movie to play Trixie, the girlfriend of the title character. Ricci, joins Emile Hirsch (Speed), John Goodman (Pops), Susan Sarandon (Mom) in this live-action adaptation of a television series that itself was an adaptation of the Mach GoGoGo anime series. Warner Bros. reaffirmed the May 9, 2008 release date.

What a cast. X'D its a shame they couldn't get Johnny Depp to play Speed tho. :P

  9. yes, but now shes dead dead. :P

heh, but that never really did make sense to me. People die and then their soul goes to soul society to live in poverty for eternity unless they get killed somehow. I always wondered how Rukia's little buddies died in that flashback of hers when she was a little kid.

  10. *plans to watch that vid clip soon*

I wouldn't be surprised if the new game didn't cover anymore of Sora's adventures. His story is pretty much done and in the eyes of Disney hes probably gotten to old. -_- I just hope we don't play as some little kid on a mission to save his mom's nobody's cousin from the heartless.

  11. I havent read that far, so I'm trying not to read the spoilers.:( Will some one give me a site.

In that time period, sometimes they would take on more then one wife and have losts of mistress.

And this is a idea, but mabey why he chose a human is because he wanted to see what it was like (seeing how humans die so soon and easy), and of corse he loved her. And mabey to teach humans and demons a leason in life.

We have all the links in our fansub forum. O_O

Welcome Riina-chan. Now GET! IN! MAH! BELLAH! *eats Riina-chan*

Ah, I thought you'd have been a little perverted when it came to eating this particular noob. ^_~

You're not a filthy commy like GRX are you?

    :spit:

  13. Ah, thats a bit more complicated. I've never been able to burn anything from .avi to dvd. mostly because of file size issues and crappy programs. I found some tutorials before to burn stuff like that onto dvds, but it usually required multiple programs and hours of time. x_x
