  1. Long Island Ice Tea is one of my favorite, I've never attempted to mix one. I tend to not follow the 1oz and 1/2oz shit cuz thats week. My white russians are more like brown russians. X'D TGI Friday's Ultimate Long Island is da bomb.com

As far as Gin goes, I mix it with Tonic or Ginger Ale... sometimes OJ or Simple Apple (the best apple juice out there).

Reisling is pretty good, I dont care for much other wine. Have you tried E&J VSOP brandy? you should. Its fairly reasonable. You can get a 1.75L for under $30 at the ABC store. A mid sized bottle will run you about $15.

Seven dollars of a $60 video game purchase covers expenses for games never even sold. That's according to a breakdown of retail game cost by an on-demand games service.

OnLive, of Palo Alto, Calif., says that $7 covers, on average, "returns." That's the cost associated with returning unsold inventory - essentially, sales that don't meet expectations. By this analysis it is equivalent to the royalty paid to the platform holder - Nintendo, Microsoft or Sony.

By far the largest portion is to the publisher, nearly half of it. As it should be. But 25 percent of a game's cost is the profit to the seller. That is a very nice margin, and it - plus the fudge factor on the returns, hint at how discounts on some new games can be justified even at release.

  3. Smirnoff vodka and mountain dew used to taste pretty good. Have you tried any of the flavored smirnoff vodkas?

Tastes like a pine tree... lmao! X'D

Do you like to mix your gentleman jack with anything? And have you ever tried mixing kahlua and coffee? I heard it was pretty good.

I generally stay away from all things Smirnoff and Bacardi. The quality is spent more on advertisement rather than the liquor itself. I stick with Ciroc and Ketel One when it comes to vodka. My flavored liquor days came to an abrupt end when I tried Wild Turkey American Honey... eck. Instead of bourbon with a hint of honey, it was like drinking Honey with a hint of bourbon.

Gentleman Jack is really good straight. I'm not much of a mixer anymore unless its Gin or Vodka.

I generally use the Vodka with my Kahlua and whole milk.. White Russian... mmmm.

  4. The green bottle Tanqueray Gin... goes well with tonic water or ginger ale. Some complain it tastes to much like a pine tree... Bombay Sapphire is an alternative to it.

The other one is Patron Tequila. Good stuff. shoot it is the best way to go in my opinion if you aren't making margaritas

  5. What you got in the liquor cabinet? how often do you drink? Do you drink socially, heavily, or night cap it?

    My current stock:

I tend to have a drink when I get home from work while i browse the net, then hit the sack. Ocassionally I drink with buddies until we get hammered... maybe once every few months or so.

There's no denying it. Upcoming PS3 exclusive God of War III is a big game. But how big is big?

"35Gb of goodness," tweeted Sony Santa Monica Director of Technology Tim Moss. "Thank heavens for Dual Layer Blu-Rays." Dual Layer Blu-ray discs started shipping in 2006 and can hold up to 50GB.

For comparison's sake, Ratchet and Clank Future was around 22GB, while Metal Gear Solid 4 was too big for the 50GB Blu-ray disc. God of War III is somewhere in the middle.

Disc space can change depending on, say, whether or not the cutscenes are rendered in game or whether or not they are pre-rendered. Because it's not how many GB your game has, but how your game uses them. (And whether or not they can do that figure 8 move with their hips.)

  7. http://kotaku.com/5476743/box-of-cereal-old-enough-to-drink-legally-and-vote-sold-for-200

    340x_blorf.jpg

We've dealt with factory sealed Nintendo rarities two decades old this past week, but at least their contents wouldn't throw you into gastric distress. A 22-year-old unopened "Nintendo Cereal System" box just sold for $207.50, or $103.75 per cereal.

The Cereal System attracted 22 bids, with the winner going $2.50 over the top in the final 17 seconds of the auction to claim the tasty prize. He gets two, two, two cereals in one. The Super Mario Bros. Action Breakfast delivers "fruity-flavoured Marios, Super Mushrooms, Goombas, Koopa Troopas, and Bowsers." The Zelda Adventure Bowl o' Sugar and Plastic offers "berry-flavored Links, hearts, boomerangs, keys, and shields."

The seller naturally typed up his marketing in all caps because this is an important message, like HAL at the end of 2010: The Year We Make Contact.

    I remember this cereal! X'D

  8. http://kotaku.com/5475448/sony-files-patent-for-universal-game-controller

There are universal TV remotes, so why not universal video game console controllers? Sony's recent patent filing indicates that could change.

The Sony patent, which was filed in August 2008 but appeared online on February 18 of this year, reads: "Just like remote controls, game consoles, and thus game controllers, are becoming widespread. It is not surprising to find more than one game consoles in a household, especially when competing game console manufacturers attempt to attract unconventional consumer groups in the gaming industry. As understood herein, it would be useful to have a universal controller that would be able to work with a variety of game consoles."

This controller would feature a touch sensitive liquid crystal display that would display various button layouts depending on the consoles. For example, a Nintendo console would pull up a Nintendo controller layout, a Microsoft console would pull up a Microsoft controller layout and a PlayStation console would pull up a PS controller layout.

The patent also notes that this controller will have a speaker and rumble. Though, this is interesting. From the patent: "This document describes an adaptable or universal game controller which can be used to emulate the controllers of popular game consoles, such as, without limitation, the PlayStation.TM. made by Sony, a controller made by Nintendo, X-box.TM. game controllers made by Microsoft, Amiga CD-32.TM. controllers, Atari Jaguar.TM. controllers, Gravis Gamepad.TM. controllers, Sega controllers, and Turbographics controllers, one or more of which terms may be subject to trademark protection. For ease of exposition trademark symbols will not be further used herein."

Those consoles are all old. Is the PS3 getting a proper virtual console and an actual universal controller to go with it?

This is an interesting concept. I'd like to see it, but I'd like to see a controller with the best of the PS3 and 360's features. Sony's D-Pad with 360's Trigger buttons.

  9. As a grocery store manager, I can tell you that expiration dates are not indicators of when something goes bad. People have it set in their mind that at the stroke of midnight of the expiration date, the product instantly goes bad. These dates are when the store has to SELL the product by. People will dig in the back of the ice cream case to get the "freshest ice cream". Give me a fucking break, the shit has a 2 year shelf life on it.

  10. Avoiding it like the plauge. I'm a fan of the original stories, and based on the trailers alone, they COMPLETELY went out of character for both Holmes and Watson.

Actually it follows the original stories pretty close as far as the characters, as Kite stated. I think Jude Law did a terrific job.

  11. I just got the planet scanner upgrade for the Normandy.. I certainly hope this helps, I have yet to try it.

Now that I have some new Heavy Weapons and all the ammo types, I am not regretting my choice of Solider Class. I love how the Pistols are actually useful. Your right about the Sniper Rifle though, but at least they fixed them to were you don't need the assassination power to get a good clean shot like in ME1. And yes the power's are much imporved. Having to wait 20 or more seconds in the first game to recharge anything was certainly a hassle.
