  2. Anyone seen this? It's actually pretty cool, it's based off of a book called The Count of Monty Cristo.

We were reading it in English II A, but I always slept through thinking it was boring, the anime seems like it's a lot better. <.<

It's adventure, drama, mystery, romance, and science fiction. It's a very nice little change from the action stuff like Samurai Champloo and FMA...But it does have some fight duel scenes.

    Story

While visiting the festival on Luna, Viscount Albert de Morcerf and Baron Franz d' Epinay make the acquaintance of the Count of Monte Cristo, a self-made nobleman. When they part, the Count promises to visit Albert in Paris. After he arrives, he insinuates himself into the most powerful families in France (the Morcerfs, the Danglars, and the Villeforts).

While Gankutsuou follows the main story of the "The Count of Monte Cristo," many of the side plots are discarded. In addition, the story is told starting from the time Albert and Franz meet the Count, leaving most of the exposition to be recounted in the "present time" of the series.

    Style

While the novel takes place during the 1800s, Gankutsuou is set in the far future, in the year 5053. Though it incorporates elements of science-fiction and fantasy, it also retains many asthetics of France in the 1800s, particularly in regard to social classes and wealth. In addition, the episodes begin with a summary spoken in French.

Gankutsuou was one of the first anime to take advantage of the potential of Photoshop textures and layering in digital animation. The backgrounds are frequently rendered in 3D, a stylistic trademark of Studio Gonzo.

    You are SASUKE!

Stylish. Skillful. Sexy. You've never had trouble getting people to notice you even if sometimes you wish they wouldn't. At least you can always feel happy knowing you excel at whatever you try. Now if you could only kill that brother of yours...

I am sexy if I do say so myself... >_>

    ...I hate Sasuke...

  5. IX was also my first FF game. It is actually a fantasy game, unlike most other FF's. I also didn't really see what was so good about VII, I think VIII was beter than that one.

I played it a little yesterday and it was awesome! I got to the part where the ship crashes into the woods and you have to save garnet. I'm gonna go for Excalibuy II again. It was easy with my PSX but the little thing you do you doesn't work with the PS2. XS

  6. For some odd reason I've been wanting to replay FFIX, again. I also downloaded the song "YOUR NOT ALONE!" and have listened to it for the past two hours. Also been tryinf to make a good Kuja sig. I've come to realize that...I'm in love with Final Fantasy IX again. :D

So, do you like or dislike IX? I'm pretty sure this type of topic hasn't been made before.

BTW, "YOUR NOT ALONE!" is the song that plays when Zidane thinks he doesn't need anyone and his friends help him through the rough battles. Best. In-game Song. Ever. >_>

  7. Elite Four from Red/Blue and Gold/Silver of Pokemon, I was obsessed with those games a long time ago, they were easy as heell and gave you a shit load of money.

Also Megaman Xtreme 2, Berkana and Gareth. I beat that game at least 15 to 16 times over.

As for shooters, the gaint mech tank at the end of Ghost in the Shell SAC, beaten it at least 9 or 10 times...I'm fighting it right this very second. :B
