  1. http://www.traileraddict.com/trailer/thor/comic-con-trailer

from the trailer the story is very clear cut

Thor kicked out of Asguard for x y z reason (loki musta had a hand in it ofc)

Thor on finds his hammer but cant use it as he is un worthy, Loki takes up power and decides to reclaim there place as the true gods people should fear and worship. Thor is in the middle of it all, and eventually like in last 10 mins of film he picks the hammer up, and pewpew's everyone

  2. tbh the screen time bana should get should be next to nothing, unlike the other heroes where they will be wearing costumes, who ever plays bana will vanish fast

having a big name like Norton would prob mean they would give him more screen time, when in reality people like super hero movies, and actors come second to entertainment

  3. Just finished the book

    Innocent Mage by Karen Miller

Part one of a 2 book series

    From Wiki

The Doranen have ruled Lur with magic after fleeing the evil Morg who took over their homeland. For an Olken (Lur's original inhabitants) it is unlawful to use magic. Any Olken who breaks the law will be executed.

Asher has come to Lur‘s capital city to make his fortune. He begins as a worker in the stables of the Royal Palace but is soon made an assistant to the magicless Prince Gar, who is the mediator between the Olken and the Doranen. Soon, he hopes to gain enough money to buy a boat and fish with his father for the rest of his life.

But unrest starts to show among the Olken. It has been prophesied that the Innocent Mage will be born, and the Circle is dedicated to preserving the magic of the Olken until the saviour arrives. The Circle have been watching Asher, and as the city streets are filled with Olken rioters, his life takes a bitter turn.

It is called the innocent mage, as Asher the protagonist, is naive of his destiny and therefore innocent of it, His destiny being he will become acepted by the royals, and die for the kingdom

It is an interesting story as it is 600 pages, and covers a lot, but in reality not much actually happens in terms of story progressing

Asher is a 1-dimensional boring character with, talks like a country bumpkin, not a hill billy, but a farmer.

He is rude and direct, his lack of kiss ass attitude is what gets him noticed by the prince,

who in reality is the best character

The prince was born without magic, which is ultra rare, therefore covertly hated by his magic kind, as he is a reminded that there not perfect. His destiny of being King, and the responsibility of keeping the kingdom safe by reinforcing the barrier that protects them from he hell outside there paradise.

As he is magicless, the king has a second child who happens to be a prodigy,

His daughter hates her brother calling him a cripple, and always makes him look the fool by parading her magic when she can.

you understand her a lil, as the King can have 1 heir, but as the price is magic less and cant become the one who protects the kingdom,. she was born

the prince becomes the medium between the 2 races, and is loved by all but the nobles of his own race

so back to 1-d asher, he is so freeking annoying, his attitude is, i am me, blah blah, i dont give a shit.

What also sucks, is there is no mention of magic for like 500 pages, then a minor wizard fight happens for like 1 paragraph.

It gets interesting near the last few chapters which theres no mention of asher, only the prince, and the plot to destroy Lur is put into motion.

The plus is, with 600pages, the characters do evolve on the pages,

it isnt an exciting book, and has few likeable characters, but the ending (which was hard to plow too) was good enough for me to want to know the ending of the complete story

with the title innocent mage, i turned every page expecting asher to go and develop god like powers, but nope, he fails on page after page of being interesting

The title should be innocent fool, as he isnt a mage, and it is a long read for 1 paragraph of magic

The sequal is called the awakened mage, im starting to think is might refer to the prince, as even though he isnt a mage, he seems to be the most intesting char, and by far steals the show nearer the books conclusion

to summarise, i wouldn't recommend it so far, but the 2nd book can start another 600 pages without the boring back story

  4. Mark Ruffalo will play Bana

    RuffaloHULK1-thumb-550x308-43518.jpg

The war of the words that saw Marvel slamming Ed Norton for not being "collaborative" enough to star as the Hulk and Norton Facebooking his disappointment is finally over. Which is a good thing, a very good thing, because we need our "HULK SMASH!" in any big-screen Avengers film.

According to Deadline Hollywood, as per earlier rumors, Ed Ruffalo WILL be stepping into Norton's shoes. Or should that be, in Eric Bana's shoes? Which, given Hulk's penchant for destroying his wardrobe, are probably in pretty bad shape by now anyway!

If all goes well, attendees at the San Diego Comic-Con may get to see Ruffalo line up with director Joss Whedon's other Avengers at tonight's panel. (Well, con-goers lucky enough to get in to the Avengers panel, that is.) The rest of us will just have to wait for the tweets to twickel in.

Personally i dont know his acting chops, but i dont think he looks the role

  5. http://io9.com/5595272/karl-urban-confirms-hes-playing-judge-dredd

Dr. McCoy is the law! We reported a rumor that Star Trek star Karl Urban would play the futuristic, fascistic lawman in the new Judge Dredd movie the other day. Asked about it at Comic Con, Urban said the rumor is "lookin' good." And he told another news outlet that director Pete Travis had actually offered him the role, "and we're in the process of making it happen."

And don't worry, purists - Urban says if he plays Dredd, he'll keep the helmet on the entire time. He adds:

I will say this, hypothetically if I went to a movie that was called "Judge Dredd" and the character or the actor who played Judge Dredd took the helmet and I would see his full face and features I would puke in my popcorn because that's not Dredd. He's mysterious and enigmatic. We're going to do it right.

After 10 years in prison, Driver (Dwayne Johnson) has a singular focus - to avenge the murder of his brother during the botched bank robbery that led to his imprisonment. Now a free man with a deadly to-do list in hand, he’s finally on his mission...but with two men on his trail - a veteran cop (Billy Bob Thornton) just days from retirement, and a young egocentric hitman (Oliver Jackson- Cohen) with a flair for the art of killing and a newfound worthy opponent. The hunter is also the hunted. It’s a do or die race to the list’s finish as the mystery surrounding his brother’s murder deepens, and new details emerge along the way hinting that Driver’s list may be incomplete.

I wont go cinema for it, but DVD (D'L) deffo

  7. Eva Mendes will not be returning for the Ghost Rider sequel (tentatively titled Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance), the actress confirmed to SHH at yesterday's junket for her upcoming film, The Other Guys.

Mendes appeared in the first Ghost Rider film as Roxanne, the childhood sweetheart of Nicolas Cage's Johnny Blaze.

"No, unfortunately," was the actress' only comment when asked about whether or not she'd be back for the recently-announced sequel, set to again star Cage with the new director team of Neveldine/Taylor.

  8. Shyamalan slams reporter: 'If I thought like you, I'd kill myself!'

    http://blastr.com/2010/07/shyamalan-slams-reporter.php

During a Mexico City press conference for The Last Airbender, M. Night Shyamalan ripped a reporter a new one after she asked whether he deliberately chose to make a commercial movie because "the audience has lost its faith in your work." The director, sitting next to Airbender star Jackson Rathbone, was NOT pleased, and didn't attempt to hide it. Luckily, it was all captured on video.

"You had a very strong start of your career with The Sixth Sense," asked a brave reporter in an exchange captured by TwilightFeverVIP. "Your movies have been very personal. However, the audience has lost its faith in your work, with Lady in the Water and many of your more recent productions. Airbender feels like you want to captivate the audiences again by becoming more commercial. Am I right?"

    Shyamalan's response?

"I think if I thought like you I'd kill myself," he said. "Everything you said is the opposite of my instinct as an artist. The way you just thought, I literally would kill myself. ...

"Your impression of my career is not my impression of my career. It's something you read on Google or something.

"It's a fascinating thing that you would even characterize my whole career the way you just did, dismissively like that. It's sad for me to even hear you think like that."

And there's more where that came from. Check out Shyamalan's complete answer below

  10. http://www.superherohype.com/news/articles/104093-neveldine-and-taylor-confirmed-for-ghost-rider-2

Nicolas Cage will return for a Ghost Rider sequel helmed by Neveldine/Taylor, the actor confirmed tonight on "The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson."

"There's gonna be a new one," Cage told Ferguson after the host presented him with a model of a flaming skull, "I just made the deal today."

He also confirmed the recent rumor that Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor (Crank, Gamer) will direct the film, still rumored to be called Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.

another round of cage pointing at people with an evil stare

The 1st movie kinda sucked, dont know why there going ahead with this one, apart from trying to ride the coat tails of the up and coming super hero movies

  11. Imagi Studios' Gatchaman will be a cool superhero movie, set against the backdrop of an alien threat of world domination and the epic battle this ignites. To be brought to the big screen in spectacular stereoscopic 3D, this CG-animated motion picture will deliver a feast for the eyes in exceptional weaponry, distinctive strike vehicles and light-speed action sequences, all played against a dazzling futuristic visualization.

Featuring stealthy ninja-style shadow fighting to grand-scale clashes, this fast-paced sci-fi action-thriller focuses on a lone-wolf maverick youth who, together with a team of teenage superheroes, finds his destiny in defending Earth against the dark forces of Galactor.

Gatchaman is based on the hit 1970s Japanese television series from Tatsunoko Production, known in the West as G-Force or Battle of the Planets. It is presently in pre- production.
