  1. Ok, here's the thing. I'm trying to use a simple PHP script to take data from an HTML form and send it to the database. I've tried about 5 different variations of it, all doing the same thing, and I'm getting the same error:

    Database ERROR: You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ')' at line 1

    I can't find what's causing the problem. It is connecting and finding the database, it just can't run what I have. Which is:

    <?php

      // Connect to the database server
      $cid = @mysql_connect("*****","*****","*****");

     if (!$cid) {
        echo( "<P>Unable to connect to the " .
              "database server at this time.</P>" );
        exit();
      }

      // Select the graphics database

      if (! @mysql_select_db("graphics") ) {
        echo( "<P>Unable to locate the graphics " .
              "database at this time.</P>" );
       exit();
     }

    ?>

    <html>
    <head>
    <title>Insert New Record</title>
    </head>
    <body bgcolor="#ffffff">

    <h2>Insert New Record</h2>

    <?
        if ($_SERVER['REQUEST_METHOD'] == "POST")
        {
            # escape data and set variables
    	$name=$_POST['name'];
    	$type=$_POST['type'];

    	$view=$_POST['view'];

    $sql  = "INSERT INTO testing (name, type, style, about, notes, series, link, view, image, front) VALUES ";
    $sql .= "('$name','$type','$style','$about','$notes','$series','$link','$view','$image','$front',)";

            #execute SQL statement
            $result = mysql_query($sql, $cid);

            # check for error
            if (mysql_error()) { print "Database ERROR: " . mysql_error(); }

    print "<h3><font color=red>New layout added</font></h3>";

    help? *greatbigpuppydogeyes*

  2. linking to torrent sites and linking to torrent files are two different things. It can be abused easily if we do it wrong. That's why we would wait until all the other stuff we been working on is done and fully working. Then we can think about adding in a torrent section.

    If we went about adding torrent files we would most likely parse (grab) them from anime suki since they only host unlicensed legal anime.

    TVNihon as well. I think they only do unliscenced anime.

  3. Heh. Always been a fan of this show. Watching things go BOOM is always entertaining. However, yesterday, they upped the coolness. They did a show about ninja myths (stopping a sword with your hands, etc.). At the end, the Ninja from Ask A Ninja showed up. Coolness abounds. ^_^

    Sorry, just had to share that since my home computer is down and I couldn't talk about it with anyone. ^_^;;;

  4. sniper's not a class, that's just what i do...i've got archery and sneak leveled up almost completly, i have 30% chamlion armor and a 20% chamelion ring so i'm hard to see in the dark, and i have the Detect Life spell....so bascily, i can sneak around in the dungeons and snipe everything with my bows.....XD....it's a lot of fun!...

    and you don't have to close all the Oblivion gates....the one at Kvatch you have to close....and later, there will be one outside each major town you have to close, but the other 90+ of them are ignorable....and once you finish the main quest, they'll disappear without you having to close it....they're good for practicing things, but the monsters in them level up as you do, so it doesn't do much good to go level a lot then close them....

  5. Ah yes, Oblivion. I play it even though I have to turn all the graphics down and lots of effects off because my processor can't handle it. XD I love this game! I've got the downloadable content with the Knights of Nine armor (which is cool, but a stone bitch sometimes) It's got a pretty good story (a little too short, though) but all the side quests you can do kinda liven it up, and it's a lot of fun running through dungeons killing things. My main character is up to lvl 46, which doesn't make things eaiser since the enemies lvl up too, but I have more abilities. I'm a sniper and a theif. There hasn't been a place yet that I can't break into. XD Make sure you do all the guild quests, but do the Assassin's Guild first. Otherwise, it could mess up your standing with a few of the other things. But the Theif's Guild is my favorite. Killing people lowers your standing, so you have to figure out how to do most of the quests without killing, which makes it more challenging. To me, the Guild quests were the best part of the game. I found the Oblivion gates annoying, and I ended up just finishing the main quest just to make them stop opening everywhere I went. ><

  6. all the boomerang did was knock them away from the wagon....i could never knock them away at just the right time to keep them from dropping the bombs....and the stupid piggie guys can't be killed, so they're constantly shooting fire arrows and catching the wagon on fire....which you can put out with your boomrang if you can get close enough and lock onto it, but i still can't figure out how to change targets with the lock....i'm not sure you can....which was another large part of the problem....i couldn't change the target to the birds to shoot them down easy.....*grrr*.....

  7. i just don't get it.....i can't find the key to beating it....i did try gamefaqs, all it said was to keep the birds from bombing the wagon...i can't do that when they don't die and i can't target them.....*sighs*.....just once i want to be good at a game....just once....

  8. Ok, all you people that wanted horseback combat in Zelda raise your hands. I'm going to kill you till you diiiiiiieeee.........*grrrrr*......

    I've been doing this one part in ZTP for two hours and I can't do it. I'm thinking I'm just not able to control Epona enough because that damn wagon keeps getting blown off course because I can stop the birds from attacking. 2 hours. twoooo houuuursss. *strangles her controler* I'm so angry at the damn game my hands are shaking. And it's a good thing I'm alone now because I shouted obscenities at the game for quite a while.

    So full of raaaageeeeee......

  9. I think, on the whole, it captures the spirit of the Spartains if nothing else. Yeah, there's a lot about it that can't be called 'history' as such, but hey, I think he did good with the artistic liberties he did take, and it was a good film.

    But I'm sorry, I don't care how 'historically accurate' the outfits were. Pants are always a plus. No shirts I can deal with. But yeah. Some of those guys definatlly could've used some pants. ^_^;

  10. ok, got back from seeing it....was going to see it in IMAX, but they were sold out.....><....anyways, i found it a good story, bit graphic, but that was to be expected....i think, on the whole, i liked Sin City better, but this had some good emotion behind it....

    i now also understand the comment "I've never seen so much nipple in my life!" *LOL*

  11. i think BK should make the movie a slasher movie. he's PERFECT for it.

    BOLOL!!!! OMG, that would be hilarious!! Now we know why he's always grinning like that! That would explain everything! *LMAO*

    Please tell me thats true, cause i would SO watch that lol :D

    Unfortunatly, 'tis true. >< Not quite as scary as the King, but still...o.@
