  1. Yeah it hurt like a quick pin prick. Like getting a shot. There really was no blood believe it or not.

Getting a piercing infected is what really HURTS.

Keeping face piercings clean can be tricky if you are not aware. You have to wash the outside of the piercing with a cleaner that the piercing shop gives you. And you cannot use Listerine mouth wash because of the alcohol. You have to use a mouth wash like Biotene.

I got my lips infected because I drank (booze) shortly after I had them done. They say it takes a full 6 to 8 weeks to heal your lip rings. That means no kissing (and or touching your lips to any part of anyone elses body) and no alcohol/beer. After 2 weeks I figured I was ok to do these things because my lips appeared to be ok. I fell asleep with out washing my lips with the cleaner even though I washed them prior to me going to bed) after a little kissing the hubby- to -be. I woke up and my bottom lip was HUGE and purple. Not to mention that the holes themselves were full of pus. You take the jewelry out or else the holes will close trapping the infection. Everytime I smiled, talked or flinched the rings in my lips moved and hurt. Kinda like peeling a scab that wasn't healed.

The Moral of the story? Do the research. If you are thinking of a tattoo or piercing, think about that healing time and if you can follow the rules. I had to lug around mouth wash and cleaner everyday to work for 2 months to keep my rings from getting re infected. I had to wash at my 1st and 2nd break, at lunch and then before I went home. My co workers looked at me real funny for awhile. LOL.

I am not saying don't do it, I mean I did and I love my piercings but you do have to take care of them to avoid any painful issues.

So far so good with the beauty mark. No pain, except when I catch the bottom of it against my tooth and it pulls on it. I have to get shorter bars (stud) when there is no longer a chance that the area will swell. Otherwise if the bar (stud) is too short it can squeeze on the area which really hurts too.

  2. Yes you did!O_O I was afraid that you were some monster on here that tested people's anime knowledge and if u failed you would delete their account. I was liked it on here so I bowed and acknowledged you as our lord and master.^_^; Remember that?

Good Times. At least you didn't gobble me up....yet.:meh:

  3. Wow! All of my Hubby-to-be's family is in Ramona which was evacuated yesterday. The highways were so jammed that his parents turned around and stayed home. They said that the fire went around them. One of our friends was outside in his back yard fighting a fire and he refused to leave. I keep trying to call him but he won't answer his phone. I hope he is ok. Last I heard the fire was heading for Magic Mountain.

  4. Yeah the snickerdoodles are the ones with the cinnamon and sugar on the outside.

I can really cook. I love cooking for guests. Anyone here who would like to show up to my door step and have a home cooked meal please let me know. LOL. Just let me know what you would like me to cook.

I feel guilty when I throw shit together like a "Ready Bake" kind of meal. PLEASE!! It does not take any skill to turn a knob on an oven and set a timer. That's not "cooking". And sure not something to be bragging about but that's just my opinion. But I agree sure, give her an E for effort. I'm sure it took effort to turn that knob and set that timer. LMAO.

I was serious about the cooking...I love to entertain guests with dinner parties!

  5. Ooooh...yeah I am lucky all the moms that I knew always liked me. Except this one lady. I dated her son when I was like 18, and he was 21. He was the biggest mama's boy I ever met. He later married this girl I was friends with in HS. I hear he is STILL a mama's boy (and I'm 25 now...so that means that was like 7 years ago..) Come on now! His mom busted us for making out once and FREAKED out! She called my mom (who is martering, whining, manipulative...well, need I say more?) who grounded me for it! -sigh- Good luck to him and his wife.

    Anywho..

    My hubby-to-be mom's loves me~ Lip rings n all.

  6. Easy. Most houses that you buy don't come with all the appliances. The microwave and stove are brand new (because I was with my dad when he purchased them and put them in). I picked out a fridge that has the double doors and the freezer on the bottom. It's like $1200 with tax and all that, but I think once the hubby-to-be tells his parents about us getting engaged..they might just give us part of the money as a early wedding gift. *shrugs* either way we have to get a fridge.

  7. Oh wow! I just got this deal to buy a house! I got the keys for it today!

4 bedrooms 2 baths. Big yards and HUGE kitchen (for all that cooking I do).

My dad purchased it to fix it up and sell it...but he couldn't sell it just yet (needs AC unit). So, he leased it with an option to buy for 1 year to me. After a year I will purchase the house and all the work I am putting in my dad will wave the $$ down. It has brand new everything except I'm missing a fridge...LOL. Talk about a early wedding present!

  8. Just about anything! You name it, I can cook it. Or I can find a receipe to make it but I havn't used one of those in a while. If I make something a few times, I usually get it memorized. My hubby-to-be's mom sent us home with some of the favorite things that she makes that he likes (she has a snickerdoodle cookie receipe to die for!). So, I can whip up his favorite cookies from time to time. Hey what can I say!? You know I heard a way to a man's heart is through his stomach.... right?

  9. Say, how much do one of those classes cost and will they teach your partner how to cook?

I do all the cooking. My kid's dad is a chef, so the 4 years we were together I learned a lot.

Oh, and I am so excited! I am renting to own this house my dad has to help him out (it needs minor repairs that he can't do right now, therefore he can't rent it.). It just sits there, since he works and lives out of California. So, I'm going to rent it, fix it so my rent is cheaper and then buy it off him in a year. Early wedding present!! It has 4 bedrooms. 2 baths, laundry room, large back yard, front yard, living room, huge kitchen, and large dining room. I helped him fix it up to begin with so I am soooooo excited to get it!:D
