  1. They had to have tested them to get approved to sell them in the US. I just think they didn't test them with the right people. They were counting on the couch-potato gamers that don't move unless they absolutly have to, not the hyper gamers that have wanted to get in on the action for years. *LOL*

Have you noticed how most of the injuries are related to the sports games? XD

  2. First step: decide where the person is from.

Second step: check out names from that country.

Granted, just because someone is from France doesn't always mean they'll have a French name, but it gets you started. Also, think about your character. What are they like? What do they like? Can you think of any personality aspect that should be reflected in their name? For example, my name, Angela. Means 'angel'. (Of course, in my case it's more ironic than anything else ^_^;; ). Be mindful of their personality. Giving some huge, barbaric fighter that's 6ft tall and outweighs a tank a name like 'Yuki' is just wrong. ^_^; (Yuki means snow, btw).

Now, if it doesn't matter that their name reflects their personality, it really doesn't matter what you name them. Just look through and pick something you like. My name is Angela because my dad had a girl named Angela in one of his classes that he just thought the world of. (My middle name is the female form of his name, which is another way to go. Do you have names for their parents? Are they named after someone in their family?) Some people pick names for their kids because they like them, not because they mean anything.

Of course, if you're doing a fantasy world where you make up their names, it's all up to you. Just try and make names that are easy to say!! I don't read outloud, but if I come across a name that I can't pronounce, it does mess me up a bit.

  4. ummm....isn't that already a law?....i mean, you're not allowed to buy tickets to an R rated movie or buy M rated games if you're not 18....i thought that had been around for a very long time....you can use them, because the 'assumption' is that your parents have approved of you doing so, but you just can't buy them....

  5. I was going to go camp out at Best Buy but I said screw it. Had to work this morning and thats a little more important. I'll just end up getting one next year when they have more 60 gigs on the market.

Plus you know over half the bastards that were in line to get one are going to put them on eBay for like $2000. I really hate people like that, getting something that all they want to do is sell it while those of us who want it can't get it.

Yeah, they had a news report about that last night. Most of the people they interviewed were going to sell it online.

You know, you'd think the manufacturers would realize this and make more. After all, they're losing money that way. If they'd just make more and release more systems, there wouldn't be near as many scalpers making money off it.

  6. they've been around a couple years.....i love a lot of their stuff....their songs cover so much of the emotional spectrum....Black Orchid is probally my favorite of theirs, though they did play an acoustic version of Graceful Dancing at one the radio stations i used to listen to.....

i wouldn't exactly call it a 'new' sound, but they are good....defiantly worth buying.....

  7. Oh, come on. You KNOW you're going to go see it! *G*

Anyhoo, went and saw that last night. Not a movie to see for good plot or character development, but I knew it wouldn't. Just a fun movie, though. I think it was made as an homage to the classic B horror movies. It's not one I could take seriously, but it was a darn fun action/horror flick. Sammy gets some great lines, there's lots of gruesome action (so gruesome and fake you have to laugh) and tons of action.

In other words, I enjoyed it. I always watch horror flicks with an eye to the funny (yes, i'm twisted), so I had a lot of fun. It is a horrible movie plot-wise, but that's part of the fun. It is rated R for several reasons, so not a kid-friendly movie, but one you'll have to see if you like laughing at horror movies.
