  1. I might have gone a bit too far with my character's particle effects. I love my particles, but I might be a bit too distracting.
  2. Prison Of Elders - What is it? Prison of Elders - Rewards
  3. The new weapons and gear seem cool. I wish the game would emphasize more on the plot and new locations. I was hoping to see a new world shown in this trailer, but it doesn't. Instead it looks like they added some more missions to the earth and the moon and added 1 strike and a raid that I'll probably never complete. But at least there is all new raid gear for the hard core players. I'll definitely play this when it comes out to see how the new story missions are but I wish they would add match making to the raids and weekly missions tho to make the game a bit more enjoyable.
  4. Now that the full game is out, I figure we can retire the old Beta topic. I started playing Destiny yesterday for less than an hour and my initial impressions is that the game definitely feels more polished from the beta. It feels more fluid, the graphics look a bit crisper, the foot prints your character makes in the sand are more accurate with each foot step. Right when the game starts, walk to some sand and stare at your feet while you walk. All the little things look great, dust on your HUD, a cracked RDS on that old salvaged rifle you initially find. Overall I'm rather impressed and I'm also quite pleased that I already got a sniper rifle as my first secondary weapon. Any pre-order bonuses you might be due are all located at the postmaster in the tower. You get 3 ghost casing, 2 gamestop sparrows and 1 ship. Grab them all, equip them on your main character and throw the extras into your storage for your other characters to use later on. I uploaded some screenshots of the bonuses to see what they look like. I must say tho, I've already seen better looking ships other players acquired in the beta. The ghost casing and sparrow look decent. But the sparrows I saw in the beta had quick strafing abilities while this one only has the quick break. So my guess is that these bonuses are all pretty much first tier kind of unlocks and we'll all have something better within a couple weeks. *edit* I got an email from Bungie telling me I have another emblem waiting for me and to speak to Tess to receive it. I also forgot to mention that the postmaster had that Destiny Beta stress test emblem for me. But there was only 1 of those. I have not tried making an extra character yet to see if I get more duplicates of any of the pre-order items or if the initial duplicates were specifically given to the first character on the account.
  5. As a person who actually paid $60 for this game when it first came out, this pisses me off. The game I paid for was buggy as hell, broken missions, had numerous server issues issues and even server queues. Over the past year Trion has finally fixed all the issues and made the game a complete product.. a product that I should have received a year ago. What I really believe is that Trion planned on the game going Free-to-Play from the beginning and everyone that paid the initial $60 basically crowd-funded this game to completion. In the end I look back and I can see that what I paid for was an early unfinished product that was in a beta for a year until they got enough in game purchase options available and DLC out to make the game free to play and still make money off a new possible flood of customers. If you have not played the game before, I do recommend it. It'll be great to play once a week during Defiance Season 2 as there will be new cross over content, weekly episode missions and the entire core game campaign will be completely free. What I do not recommend is buying any of the DLC. I never bought them, but I know someone who has and its definitely not worth the money. I'll play Defiance again for season 2 and a possible season 3 of the Syfy show, but I will not buy another Trion Worlds, Inc. game. If they ever make another game and plan on charging for it, don't bother as it will most likely be a beta for a year and you'll get it free when its actually worth a damn. 7. Impressive bundle. $1 for Ravaged Zombie Apocalypse and Tower Wars is a really good deal for a couple games I've had interest in. Source: http://groupees.com/bmse

    Defiance

It already has my interest. It looks good, has potential.. and now look at this quote from an announcement made back on 05/21/2012 with some info on the impressive group of people that are working on this project: http://community.defiance.com/en/2012/05/21/defiance-pilot-production-begins/ That sounds like a great combination of talent and now my expectations are pretty high. Now lets look at the game: It looks like a mix of Borderlands with Resident Evil's 3rd person perspective. Could be good. I'll have to sign up for the beta. Defiance is set to premiere Monday, April 15, 2013 at 9:00 p.m. on the Syfy channel. Defiance the game will be released April 2013 for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Check the official site here: http://defiance.com/
  10. For those of you that do not know, Syfy has teamed up with Trion Worlds to create something truly unique. It is called Defiance. Defiance is a TV series and it is also a MMO shooter game. Events that happen in the tv series will affect the game and events in the game will affect the tv series. First lets look at the show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BJN2ssm8QgIt already has my interest. 11. http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/15027.html I remember seeing a couple people here who play warhammer that might be interested in this, so there you go.
  12. http://www.marvel.com/news/vgstories.7249.Marvel_MMO_Deal_Signed I wonder if they will really make it a new unique MMO or if it will just be yet another MMO except with marvel characters.
