  1. Anyone else see this? I watched it today because I noticed it on netflix. It came out a couple years ago but I never watched it until now. Half the movie was slow but it finished with a decent fight. Its not actually tied into either of the FMA series and its made more as a stand alone movie. The production quality makes it feel like this could have been presented as a 4 episode OVA rather than a movie. There were breaks of dialogue between every major scene which caused it to not flow as smoothly as what I'd expect from a movie. Its still decent to watch just to see the ending fight.. unfortunately there is no Roy Mustang fight scene.. just when you think you might see one, there he is walking away from his fried opponent. Damn.
  2. http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/16814.html Interesting. I bet they're purposely airing only the first 26 episodes so it can coincide with split season dvd sales.
  3. http://www.icv2.com/articles/markets/19916.html At least Fairy Tail will be available on dvd and bluray soon. I just hope funimation releases in full season sets for a decent price. If they try and do season 1 box 1, 2, 3, 4 for $19-$29 a piece like what they've done with one piece... $80-$120 a season.. then no, this will be yet another great series I'll never be able to afford to own.
  4. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2010-04-10/4kids-streams-sonic-x-funimation-streams-slayers-e-r Click the link for a list of series with links to watch them online... I'm really tempted to watch the Sonic X episodes considering they are the japanese versions with subs. If its the sub version, I'm assuming 4kids didn't edit the shit out it. http://www.hulu.com/sonic-x
  5. http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/15050.html I saw this article on ANN the other day too. One Piece is always getting screwed over in the US.
  6. http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/14672.html I wonder if their streaming will be in decent enough quality or if I should still grab a fansub...
  7. http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/14763.html Does anyone here get the Funimation Channel?
  8. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2008-10-28/funimation-sues-ca-retail-sites-over-alleged-bootlegs Click the link for the rest of the article. The lawsuits started about two months ago, but I didn't know about this until I tried to go to discountanimedvd.com. I guess their site is down until the lawsuit is completed. Guh. That place had some the best imported (I guess illegal) wall scrolls. On a related note, I've noticed that Funi is suing and sending cease and desist letters all over the internet, to torrent sites, fansub groups etc. I read something about some anime companies keeping their eyes on irc channels now for copyright infringement. What do you think, good or bad for the anime industry? And good or bad for you? -p
  9. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2008-03-29/cartoon-network-has-no-plans-for-one-piece-return Its a damn shame what they did to One Piece in the US. A damn shame. My understanding is that Funimation will finish dubbing the entire series but it'll be straight to dvd. *still hates all their VAs*
