  1. Impressive bundle. $1 for Ravaged Zombie Apocalypse and Tower Wars is a really good deal for a couple games I've had interest in. Source: http://groupees.com/bmse Click here to view the article

  4. https://www.humblebundle.com/ The only bright side aside from some Steam Keys is it looks like no money is going to EA or Origin. I'll be buying this later for $1 if they don't come out with any Steam Keys for the above average.
  5. http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/escapist-news-now/7853-Elder-Scrolls-Anthology-Announced?utm_source=news&utm_medium=index_carousel&utm_campaign=all As exciting as this can be all I really needed was 1&2 to be released on Steam. Here's hoping they might do that as well.
  6. Steam has started their yearly Summer Sale. Expect huge discounts on numerous games over the next 11 days. The sale is good from 07/11/2013 to 07/22/2013. Don't forget, they have new sales daily and flash sales ever 8 hours. If you've been holding off on getting a game or some DLC, nows the time. If I didn't already own Defiance on PS3, I'd buy it today on Steam because its one of today's sale items.. on sale for $13.59. Thats 66% off.. and the DLC is 66% off.. I paid $59 a little over 3 months ago just for the game and no DLC.. I wish PSN would sell me the DLC pack for 66% off.. but that won't happen. Sales like this put console game prices to shame. http://store.steampowered.com/

  8. The newest Humble Indie Bundle is here and I've heard many good things about the game "Little Inferno". It was made by the same people that created "World of Goo" that was also available in a previous Humble Indie Bundle. I've put many hours into World of Goo, so I'll pay a $1 to get another one of their games.

  10. Microsoft might be changing the entire used game market with their next console system the Xbox One. When a game is resold at a used game store like Gamestop, the retailer makes all the profit off the sale. In an attempt to get publishers and Microsoft a piece of those transactions, Microsoft might be putting strict limits on the transferring of physical games. In a report made by MCV, only retailers that have signed up with Microsoft will be allowed to resell used physical games. If this ends up being true, then don't expect to be able to sell those used games on craigslist, ebay or at a garage sale. Unless you are a registered used seller with Microsoft, those already installed game discs will be nothing more than coasters to sit your drinks on. None of this has been confirmed, but it does seem plausible. In fact, it could be the future of used game sales if Sony decides to adopt the same system. There is also the possibility that Microsoft will put a stop to all used game sales for their console altogether and instead have an online MS run marketplace for the sale and transfer of used games. 12. . But why didn't Microsoft mention this potential during their Xbox One reveal event? This also raises more questions.. Could it be that Sony's Gaikai tech is even more powerful? Will the Xbox One still match up with Playstation 4 if Sony reveals computing potential with their cloud servers? Sony has said that constant online connections are not required, does this mean all game developers are planning on utilizing the PS4's specs only and not the potential cloud specs? Will this mean all future console games will come with a label indicating if a constant cloud connection is required or not? We'll have to wait for E3 to get all the details. In the mean time, check out this video of Crysis 2 being played on a web browser thanks to Sony's Gaikai system: Source: Official Xbox Magazine
  13. The Xbox One could very well be more powerful than the Playstation 4 thanks to cloud computing. Official Xbox Magazine is reporting that for every Xbox One sold by Microsoft, there will be the equivalent of three additional console's CPU and storage available to each system by means of a constant internet connection to MS's cloud servers. Of course this means if a game developer wants to take advantage of the Xbox One's powerful cloud servers, a constant internet connection will be required. This would mean that any or even all games made for the system could possibly require a constant internet connection.. 16. As many of you know there are a variety of game bundles out there.. most of them available for steam. Some of these bundles are good for making new indie games known or for getting some quality games for dirt cheap. At first, many of the bundles were great.. $1 and you can get 8 games. Now many of them require a minimum purchase price to get the games while others are still set so you can the majority of the games for $1 and then pay a minimum average to unlock the rest of the games. The following links are the websites I check for these bundles. First off, this is the main website I check on occasion for info on new game bundles or reviews of games included in those bundles: http://indiegames.com/ And here are the bundle sites that I know of: http://www.humblebundle.com/ ($1 minimum for the main set of games, pay more than average purchase for the rest of the games) http://www.indiegala.com/ ($1 minimum for the main set of games, pay more than average purchase for the rest of the games) - I bought their current bundle because of the Worms games! http://www.indieroyale.com/ (minimum purchase listed) http://groupees.com/ (currently no sale, but check out their previous ones: http://groupees.com/archive) Many of these bundles were really good when they first started.. pretty much everything was $1 for 8 games. Now that they've been doing these for a year+ now there are minimum purchase prices and some less desirable bundles of lower quality games. Have any of you purchased any bundles from these sites before? And also, if you know of any more bundle sites, please share the link.
  17. Based on online document leaks from last June and a Microsoft employee spilling the beans about internet requirements for the new system on Twitter a couple days ago, it seems as though the next Xbox console (Xbox 720?) will require an always online internet connection. This online connection would most likely be needed to initially load games and applications in the console. Even though always online connectivity is very common in a large majority of households, this could anger quite a few gamers. I suppose if my internet provider had an issue and my connection dropped out, I'd have to keep myself entertained by playing games on my PC, phone.. or anything other gaming platforms besides Microsoft's new console. Of course, my internet has only gone out once in the past year, so I doubt I'll have any problems. But we'll have to wait until Microsoft officially unveils the new console to see if this is true. Do you think this always online requirement could potentially hurt the new system? Sources: Polygon and The Verge

  21. The new Humble Bundle with Android 5 is now available and that includes steam keys and android versions. If you want these games, donate some money to charity and enjoy a great deal. NightSky is in the bundle and its a great relaxing game. For $1 minimum, I recommend it. http://www.humblebundle.com/

  23. http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/25062.html I haven't been in the gamestop near me in over a year. I usually do all my game shopping online. Looks like thats a trend thats leading to store closures. With the new consoles coming out later this year and with digital downloads gaining in popularity, I think its only a matter of time before Gamestop will have to change their market strategy or be forced to close more stores.
  24. God of War: Ascension will hit shelves March 14th on Playstation 3! Single Player Teaser Trailer!
  25. As many of you know, God of War is introducing mutiplayer in God of War: Ascension. I haven't looked into it at all until now. Basically you create a new warrior. Choose one of 4 gods to align yourself with, and with leveling up you unlock new weapons, armor, magic, items and relics. Their website is pretty vague with details but the beta will start January 8th, 2013 for playstation plus members. The only game mode revealed so far is "Team favor rush" http://www.godofwar.com/multiplayer/ From the looks of the video above, I'm guessing one of the objectives might be killing that chained titan. But it makes me wonder if that means one team will defend the titan or if it will be a team competition to see who can kill it first. How quickly people die and the re-spawn time will be very interesting to see in the beta. Same with game balancing. Seeing as a 4x4 match is a small amount of players, one new guy could really screw a team when going against 4 people that know what they're doing. Has anyone pre-ordered this game? Or are you looking forward to the God of War multiplayer?
